Ball is one of those watchmakers that quietly produces some excellent value timepieces, and seems to have a penchant for over-engineered toughness and utility. Take the brand’s latest release: the Engineer Master II World Time. It takes the form of a heavy-hitting dive watch that’s water resistant to 300 meters, but the addition of a world time function means this beastly 45mm diver can also double as a travel watch. It’s powered by Ball’s RR1501 caliber, an ETA automatic modified with an added world time complication, and features a dial adorned with 39 tritium gas tubes.

What’s remarkable is the retail price, just $2,149, which is an astoundingly low amount for any mechanical world time watch. Better still is the fact that Ball is opening the watch up for pre-orders, and if you reserve one now, you can get $1,000 discount. Really. Frankly, we don’t know where else you can get a 300-meter dive watch with a world time complication, let alone one for just $1,149.
