Quick Take: One need not necessarily be a dive watch guy to admit that this thing is pretty striking. And by “this thing,” we mean in large part the dial on the Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition III. The vibrant gradient blue dial paired with the ceramic bezel make this tool watch hard to miss. And paired with the distinct circular date window with everything set in a large case, it’s the kind of thing you put on when you want people to know you are wearing a watch.

Who It’s For: The Great Barrier Reef LE III is for someone who wants a watch that is both built to perform and will stand out on the wrist without being gaudy. As an added bonus for those concerned about the health of our oceans and barrier reefs, the watch was made in partnership with the Reef Restoration Foundation to help re-plant coral in the currently endangered Great Barrier Reef. If you want to pitch in, though, you need to do so quickly. Only 2,000 of the watches are being made.

Key Features: The heart of this dive watch from Oris is its in-house 743 movement. It drives the circular date window, continuous seconds hand at 9 o’clock and Super-LumiNova-coated hour and minute hands around the dial. And given that said dial is set in a 43.50mm case and surrounded by a ceramic unidirectional bezel, it’s a pretty sizable one. Of course, the watch is more than just looks — the independent Swiss watchmaker designed the timepiece to dive as deep as 300 meters and keep on ticking.
