The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is an excellent smartphone. It has a huge and beautiful screen, fast processor and a Leica-branded, dual-camera system. In fact, Android Authority named it the “Best Android of 2017,” beating out the Galaxy Note 8 — but the government doesn’t want you to buy it.

According to a CNBC article this past February, six top U.S. intelligence agencies, including the CIA, FBI and NSA, have advised people to not buy or use products from the Chinese companies. In the article, FBI Director Chris Wray is cited as saying “it provides the capacity to maliciously modify or steal information. And it provides the capacity to conduct undetected espionage.”

Huawei has maintained that it “poses no greater cybersecurity risk than any ICT vendor.”

Still, if you don’t buy into the government’s skepticism and you just want a really excellent smartphone, you can get a great deal on the HuaweiMate 10 Pro. It’s available on Amazon and Best Buy for $700 — that’s $100 off. The deal lasts through March 24.
