The New Hennessey Goliath 6×6 Makes A Triumphant Return

Pickup trucks from different manufacturers normally follow the same formula. You have a vehicle with a large open-top bed at the back designed for carrying various cargo. Depending on how much space you need for the loading area, you can choose between single or double cab configurations. One defining trait that consumers look for before purchase is pure power. It’s our mission to steer our readers in the right direction of cool and awesome stuff. Thus, allow us to introduce the Hennessey Goliath 6×6 Chevrolet Silverado.

Obviously, the biggest aesthetic change is the addition of two more wheels. In order to accommodate the unique configuration, the truck gets a suspension upgrade as well as an eight-inch lift kit. Additionally, the stock truck bed gets a custom replacement. This setup creates enough space fit all six of its 20-inch Hennessey wheel with 37inch BFGoodrich off-road rubbers. Next, the cold air intake and stainless steel exhaust system that bumps the 6.2-liter V8 engine up to 450 horsepower.

This is not Hennesey Performance’s first rodeo when it comes to six-wheelers. In retrospect, the tuning outfit presented a similar configuration with the Velociraptor 6×6, which was a souped-up Ford Raptor. You should know that their latest venture is the second time the shop is tweaking a Chevy Silverado. In 2018, the original made its debut with a stellar reception from the public. Now, it’s taking that winning formula and its trademark habit of boosting power to give us something fresh. The Hennessey Performance 6×6 Chevrolet Silverado starts at $375,000 with only 24 units in the pipeline.

2019 ROUSH F-150 NITEMARE

If we are to talk about matters of speed, a pickup truck is not really a likely candidate. These type of vehicles are designed as workhorses that can pull a lot of weight. Therefore, excuse us if we find it hard to believe that one can possibly outperform the competition when it comes to being the quickest. However, we are clearly forgetting the fact that a beast such as the 2019 ROUSH F-150 NITEMARE exists. Don’t take it likely because this machine will apparently eat supercars for breakfast without breaking a sweat.

What makes this insane feat possible is the top-tier tuning that the shop offers. They’re taking Ford’s reliable 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine and slapping on a ROUSH TVS R2650 supercharger system. This upgrade awakens the dormant potential to push it beyond what is expected. You’re looking at a 650-horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque ride that is ready to race. Tests show that this 4×4 can manage a 0-60 mph run in less than four seconds.

In the meantime, to make sure that everyone around you notices the difference, the brand’s performance exhaust system produces a powerful rumble that announces its arrival. The racing inspiration does not stop there, because the 2019 ROUSH F-150 NITEMARE dresses the part. One look at its exterior details should tell you that it craves speed. Tweaks such as a custom grille, sporty graphics, a new bumper cover, and much more are part of the package. Likewise, we can see that the pickup truck is sitting on a set of 22-inch ROUSH wheels with Continental Crosscontact tires.

BMW X7 Pick-Up Concept

Last month, SKODA threw us for a loop when 35 apprentices from its vocational school teased the MOUNTIAQ concept truck. Looking at the types of vehicles the Czech carmaker produces, this was not what the automotive industry was expecting. We are still reeling from the surprise, but we’re getting another one a European brand once more. Exploring the possibilities of transporting bulkier cargo, the BMW X7 Pick-up truck is pushing the boundaries of luxury and utility.

Meanwhile, any hopes of owning this unique machine are as good as zero because it’s a one-off model. The source of inspiration BMW is presenting this awesome truck as an elegant workhorse that will haul almost anything that would fit the bed. Right now, the company is parading it in all its glory with an equally remarkable ride aboard. Sitting on the rear is a BMW F 850 GS motorbike. These two absolutely look good together, as it should be and we hope that it eventually becomes a production model in the future.

Just like the SKODA project, the BMW X7 Pick-up truck owes its design from the minds of twelve trainees. What’s even more amazing is how this group was able to turn the concept into a working showpiece in just 10 months time. Drawing inspiration from the X7 xDrive40i, this five-seater sports a loading area line with teakwood. This gives it a premium appeal that is quite rare among vehicles of its kind. Ultimately, this project is just a small preview of what the carmaker’s future designers and engineers will be capable of.

Ford Super Duty Tremor Edition Pickup Trucks

You can always count on American carmakers to craft some of the best utility vehicles in the market. We likewise understand that certain Japanese brands are capable of doing the same. What matters the most is that consumers get a machine that can meet their expectations. One of the most reliable automotive companies out there right now is the one sporting the Blue Oval emblem. As such, it’s flexing its muscles with the Ford Super Duty Tremor Edition pickup trucks.

This appears to be a bold move for the company to attract a certain demographic with a love for outdoor expeditions. According to reports, the Tremor Edition trims will be available for two models under its 2020 F-series lineup. To be specific, these are the F-350 and the F-250, which are already capable monsters by default. Nevertheless, you won’t hear us complaining when it comes to upgrades and performance tweaks along the way.

So let’s break it down. The time the Tremor badge made its way onto a truck was back in 2014. This was an older-generation F-150 with a sportier upgrade for both its interior and exterior. Meanwhile, the latest Ford Super Duty Tremor Edition focuses on the off-road capabilities of the pickup truck. Hence, we’re looking at making adjustments to the ride height by at least two inches. This gives it an impressive ground clearance of 10.8 inches. Moreover, this allows your ride to trudge over water up to 33 inches deep. Keeping all of its new powers in check is the brand’s latest adaptive cruise-control tech.

SKODA MOUNTIAQ Concept Truck

Concept designs usually focus on flagship rides such as sedans, coupes, SUVs, supercars, and more. Rarely do we see cool ones made for pickup trucks, but when one pops up, it can be a hit or miss affair. That does not seem to be the case with the SKODA MOUNTIAQ as it teases a bold new look. The company reveals that this concept pickup truck is the work of 35 apprentices from the Czech carmaker’s vocational school. It seems that whatever their teaching is being put to good use as shown by the aforementioned ride.

Using the SKODA KODIAQ as an inspiration, the MOUNTIAQ is roughly as big as the mid-size SUV. Likewise, in order to make room for the truck bed, the cabin is just enough for two people. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter TSI engine that will reportedly manage a 187-horsepower output. The chassis rides on top of four 17-inch Rockstar II wheels. Each one sports chunky off-road tires that will surely take you wherever adventure wants to.

No need to bring a flashlight to check under the hood, because a strip of LEDs will illuminate everything. Next, let’s circle back to see the hidden compartments underneath the metal bed liner of the truck bed. LED light bars hang on each side, which is handy in when loading stuff in the dark. Other exterior details include a snorkel intake, a bull-bar up front, a winch, and a light bar sitting on the roof. Finally, the SKODA MOUNTIAQ touts an interior mostly in black with orange accents and stitching.

2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison Tray Bed Concept

In 2018, we caught a glimpse of the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison. The truck is an off-road monster that won’t back down from any outdoor challenge. With the help of American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), the project gave the donor machine a boatload of upgrades to survive almost anywhere. Despite already earning big points for its capabilities, it seems that another collaboration between the two companies is in the works. They’re calling it the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison Tray Bed and looks totally badass.

The original ZR2 Bison is already one awesome ride, but this following concept takes it even further. The most noticeable tweak as hinted by the name is the truck bed. AEV is taking the stock section of the original and swapping in something more rugged. The heavy-duty replacement suggests that this new version is ready for more punishment. The durability and flexibility it offers means owners can load even more cargo without worry. It will be making its official debut at the 2019 Overland Expo West.

In order to back up its claim, AEV is subjecting the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison Tray Bed to a grueling test. After spending three days navigating the harsh Altar Desert, the results are reportedly promising. Aside from the upgraded truck bed, this powerful pickup flaunt new fender flares that to accommodate the set of four 35-inch all-terrain tires. The chassis and suspension are also getting upgrades to elevate control and performance. Steel bumpers up front and on the rear protect the off-road ride from most forms of impact while outdoors.

2019 RAM 1500 Classic Warlock

Pickup trucks are dependable machines that any man would be proud to drive around in. Rugged purpose-built form factors give them a robust appeal that appears ready for any task that comes along. Meanwhile, as most brands embrace sleeker designs, newer models are beginning to lose that special charm. In the meantime, one manufacturer understands what its customers want, which gives us the 2019 RAM 1500 Classic Warlock.

This is a special edition truck that appears intimidating from any angle. Those who are fans of the original Dodge D10 Warlock are definitely going to want this ride. RAM surprisingly manages to capture the essence of classic and wraps everything in a mean package. You have to hand it to designers for their decision to go for stylish monochromatic paintwork that makes it intimidating. The dark color scheme adds a layer menacing style that somewhat impressive in our opinion.

To complement the paint scheme of the exterior, the truck comes with four 20-inch semi-gloss black aluminum wheels. These absolutely look wicked with the matte front and rear bumpers. Buyers can select from two engine configurations. A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 at 360 horsepower or a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 at 395 horsepower. Additionally, both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

There’s no shortage of options as owners can request a quad cab or crew cab configuration. The latter offers a bigger seating area at the expense of a smaller truck bed. Starting price plus destination charge for the 2019 RAM 1500 Classic Warlock will run you up to $37,040.

2019 Harley-Davidson Ford F-150 Concept

Collaborations are always something to look forward to as two or more marques create something amazing. After all, two or more heads are better than one on most occasions. What we have here are two of the most iconic names with it comes to the quintessential American motor vehicle. Ford makes pony cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks, while Harley-Davidson handles motorcycles. To celebrate the latter’s 115th anniversary, let’s take a closer look at a special 2019 Harley-Davidson Ford F-150 concept that will grace the halls of its museum.

Some of you might be eager to learn more about the upcoming commemorative edition of the Detroit, Michigan-based carmaker’s popular pickup truck. However, there’s a small detail that might come as a bit of a surprise. Despite calling it a collaboration project between the two companies, Ford is not actually helping with anything. Harley-Davidson will rely on the services provided by Tuscany Motor Co. to manufacture this rugged and stunning machine.

The inspiration for the design was lifted from the Fat Boy bike. You can easily pick out some of Harley-Davidson’s designs and logos that are all over the Ford F-150’s frame. Some of the physical touch-ups done on the pickup truck such as the skid plates, front bumper, and custom grille look great—not to mention the subtle orange accents distributed around the exterior. We hope that this concept eventually turns into a limited edition release. Fans will no doubt snatch up as soon as it hits showrooms.

Celebrate with Harley-Davidson

Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison

The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is already one of the best off-roaders you can buy right now, to be clear. However, in the world of 4x4s, there’s always room for improvement. As such, Chevy went on to expand the pickup truck’s skill set, which brings us now to this. The 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison, poised to tackle even more unforgiving terrain than its predecessor.

The Bison is a collaboration between Chevy and American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), an aftermarket manufacturer that sells parts and accessories for off-roaders. They also offer upgrade packages that can turn stock vehicles into all-terrain beasts if you have the cash. The Bison marks its first Chevy project.

The two companies have brought a lot of practical upgrades to the standard ZR2. For starters, five skid plates made of ultra-tough hot-stamped Boron steel now protect the the oil pan, transfer case, fuel tank, and front and rear differentials. Both the front and rear get stamped steel bumpers for extra toughness and to protect against rock impact. The front bumper includes fog lights and provisions for a winch, while the rear bumper has integrated recovery points in the event you need to attach cables or wires. That’s useful in case the truck gets stuck.

In terms of aesthetics, there’s a new high-flow grille with large Chevrolet branding. You also get larger fender flares in unfinished plastic, plus newly designed 17 x 8-inch aluminum wheels. All these are exclusive to Bison. mind you. An optional snorkel is available for $459.

The ZR2 Bison will go on sale January 2019 as a crew or extended cab. You can choose between the 3.6-liter gasoline V6 or the optional 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel four.
