Jägermeister Manifest

Touted as the “world’s first” super-premium herbal liqueur, Jägermeister Manifest follows the brand’s original recipe first developed in 1878 but adds a few extra botanicals to deliver less licorice and an even richer taste.

A mixture of 56 herbs, roots & spices, the spicy spirit goes through a ‘two-fold’ maturation process, resting in both small and large oak casks for more than one year to reach an intensive flavor. The ramped-up elixir offers notes of “rich oak, sweet aniseed and dried fruit”, and a finish of “subtle spices and vanilla elements.”

Clocking in at 38% ABV, Manifest comes in a 1L clear bottle with a bronze emblem. Best served in a cocktail or the old fashion way–neat and slightly chilled.

George Dickel Tabasco Whisky

If it’s got whisky and Tabasco in it, we’re game! A deliciously spicy tipple, made by hand and finished in barrels used to age tabasco peppers for three years, George Dickel Tabasco Whisky is the spicy concoction we’ve all been waiting for.

“Best enjoyed as a shot with celery salt on the rim, pickle juice, or an ice chaser,” Hot Dickel (yes, they call it like that) is produced by letting George Dickel Tennessee Whisky rest for 30 days in ex-Tabasco barrels. The resulting spirit is then blended with an essence made of distilled Tabasco pepper sauce for even more kick.

The newly-released spirit (a gold medal winner at San Francisco’s World Spirits Competition) clocks in at 35% ABV. We can’t wait to get our hands on a bottle and get away with asking: Hot Dickel anyone?

Bob Dylan’s Heaven’s Door Whiskeys

Bob Dylan does more than sing and play guitar. The multi-faceted artist is also a painter, a Nobel Prize-winning author, skilled metalworker, and now, a whiskey maker. He’s just released a trio of award-winning concoctions, called the Heaven’s Door Whiskeys.

Produced in collaboratrion with different master distillers and blenders from across the US, the collection of handcrafted whiskeys includes a Tennessee Straight Bourbon (90 Proof), aged for more than 6 1/2 years in American Oak barrels; a Double Barrel Whiskey (100 Proof) that blends three different whiskeys finished in hand-toasted, new American oak barrels for a secondary aging; and a Straight Rye Whiskey (92 Proof) that goes through a proprietary finishing in toasted oak cigar barrels, resulting in “a smoother, more approachable rye with notes of orange peel, coriander, and spice.”

The whiskeys are presented in beautiful bottles (adorned with drawings of the iron gates created by Dylan) and will be available mid-May, but can be preordered now.

Jameson Bow Street 18-Years Cask Strength Irish Whiskey

Looking to satisfy the appetite of fans asking for a permanent expression of the awarded 18 Years Cask Strength, Jameson has just unveiled their first such concoction to be available globally.

The Bow Street 18-Years Cask Strength is named after the special location where it finishes its maturation–Bow Street, Dublin, where the popular blended whiskey was originally distilled from 1780 to 1975.

The new blend includes pot still and grain Irish whiskeys that have each spent 18 years in bourbon and sherry casks, and then have been married together and re-casked in first-fill ex-bourbon American oak barrels for a final of 6-12 months in the original Maturation House.

Official tasting notes include a nose of “rich wood-driven influence with deep toffee notes and spice,” “hints of leather and vanilla along with a subtle sherry nuttiness creating depth and complexity,” and a long and full finish “with the sweet toffee notes slowly fading while the toasted oak and spice linger throughout until the very end.” This batch is presented at 55.3% ABV and will be available from July 2018.

TABASCO 150th Anniversary Diamond Reserve Red Sauce

Paying 35 bucks for a 6 fl. oz bottle of hot sauce might sound foolish, but when you get a limited edition TABASCO 150th Anniversary Diamond Reserve Red Sauce presented in a tiny champagne-like bottle, it makes all the sense in the world.

Released to celebrate the 150th birthday of the world’s most popular hot sauce, this fiery condiment incorporates a selection of “the finest tabasco peppers on Avery Island, chosen for their superior color, texture, and robustness.”

After being crushed and mixed with a bit of salt, these special peppers were aged for fifteen years and then mixed with sparkling white wine vinegar. The resulting sauce is said to maintain the signature flavor and kick of the original while adding “exceptional complexity.”
