Amazon is offering both of their streaming media-player USB sticks at significant savings right now, so long as you’re a Prime Member. The standard HD Fire TV Stick is down to $24.99 (from $39.99) and the 4K Ultra HD Fire TV stick can be had for $44.99 (normally $69.99).

While I don’t consider myself a Luddite by any stretch, I don’t own a 4K television and instead make do with a peasant-grade HD unit. So, when I stream content from Amazon (which I pay for myself), Netflix (thanks, mom and dad), Hulu (thanks, big brother), HBO Go (thanks, [REDACTED], Showtime (thanks, [REDACTED]) and the rest, I use my trusty little Fire TV stick (which I bought at full price, thank you very much). I like it so much I gave one to my parents. My dad likes it so much he watched an entire season of Bosch in, like, two days simply because the stick makes streaming shows that easy.

Basically, if you ever stream anything on your TV, these things are a great buy. They work perfectly and seamlessly, and if you don’t own a smart TV already, you’ll feel like some sort of futuristic sci-fi space captain in an instant. My recommendation: don’t wait — make it so.
