When it comes to grooming, most men will agree that nothing will ever come close to a classic hot-towel shave. However, Gillette wants to prove you can do it on your own in the comfort of your own bathroom. Meet the Gillette Heated Razor.

The Heated Razor is GilletteLabs’ latest handiwork, the innovative sub-brand of Gillette that dips into at-home care experiments from time to time. They put the product up on Indiegogo to resounding acclaim — it still has more than a month left to go, but it’s already been backed 365%, indicating overwhelming demand for a blade that can emulate the feeling of a hot-towel shave. With it, you won’t have to go to a barbershop to get that iconic shaving experience.

While the idea of a hot-towel shave isn’t necessarily novel, no company has ever successfully executed it well enough. So here’s how Gillette did it: The company put a warming bar that heats up when you turn the device on. You can adjust the temperature to your liking, and you don’t have to worry about shaving while showering. Gillette also integrated its FlexDisc technology to ensure smooth shaves, no matter how rough your facial situation is. The device has a built-in battery that you can charge wirelessly via a charging stand.

The Gillette Heated Razor is available now for preorder at Indiegogo, and it’ll cost you somewhere around $109 and $149, depending on when you out down your order. The razor begins shipping in February next year. If you’re very particular about grooming, you’ll definitely want to give this one a try.
