This Is the Best L.L.Bean Tote Bag Released in Decades, By a Mile

In 2010, L.L.Bean launched the Signature collection, which consists of higher-quality products influenced by the brand’s extensive archive.

Despite 15 years on the market, it is still criminally underappreciated because the Maine outfitter doesn’t put much marketing behind the sub-label. It is something of a hidden gem filled with grail-worthy items like a roll neck sweater embroidered with Bean Boots and a pure cotton chamois work shirt with a 1930s hunting motif.

The Signature collection has become more exciting recently, and the 2025 line is not only its most expansive release but also pleasantly similar to the hyped L.L.Bean and Todd Snyder collaborations from a few years back.

At the center of the Fall 2025 L.L.Bean Signature collection, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, is a set of pieces made with Harris Tweed. It includes a shirt-jacket, slippers and a purse, but the star of the show — because this is L.L.Bean we’re talking about — is a tote bag.

L.L.Bean started using Harris Tweed in 1982, but hasn’t done so in decades.

This EDC bag blows away the much-loved canvas Boat and Tote. It has a 100-percent wool tweed shell and full-grain leather detailing. It’s woven red, green, yellow and white houndstooth pattern gets prettier the closer you look and will only improve with age.

The design is based on a leather tote bag that has been in and out of L.L.Bean’s catalog for decades, but Harris Tweed has replaced the leather body.

Clarks’ Timeless Desert Boot Celebrates 75 Years with a Rugged Custom Update

But you’ll also notice some big changes. The outsole, for instance, is more in line with work boots than typical chukkas, boasting a tread pattern you might associate with Timberlands.

Furthering that connection are its laces. The boot comes with two pairs, including red-and-yellow “tiger” laces, which also hearken to urbane city-going boots. Altogether, the boots are a unique blend of the two styles, chukka and work boot, that both honor their heritage and help push them into modernity.

While they boast urbane styling, the boots’ Gore-Tex membrane ensures they’re capable of handling any weather.

Versatile styling, rugged capabilities

The boots alone are an excellent addition to Clarks’ historic catalog, but they actually offer more than you might assume at a glance. For instance, they have internal elastic, meaning you could wear them as slip-ons without the laces tied and they’d remain secure.

However (and much more importantly,) their suede upper is protected from the elements by a Gore-Tex membrane. That means they’re still breathable and comfortable in any weather, but they’ll repel water in a downpour, making them more durable and long-lasting than they might otherwise be.

Rolex May Bring Back a Legendary Watch Style from Deep in Its Archives

Rolex does a lot of things very well. The brand’s watches are known to have superior build quality and longevity. It boasts more timeless designs than any other brand. And The Crown is the unquestioned king of marketing.

But one thing Rolex is not is a high horology brand. Though it competes for customers with the likes of Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, Rolex doesn’t hold a candle to those brands when it comes to things like complications and movement finishing. Virtually all Rolex watches are simple three-hand affairs.

Outside of the occasional GMT, chronograph and the Sky-Dweller’s annual calendar, the brand currently offers no complicated watches. There are no Rolex tourbillons, perpetual calendars or chiming watches.

But once upon a time, Rolex was more adventurous with its complications, and Rolex triple-calendar watches like the references 6062 and 8171 — both complete with a moonphase — are some of the most sought-after mid-century watches from the brand. In fact, just this past weekend, a solid gold ref. 6062 sold at auction for $6.2 million, making it the third most expensive Rolex ever sold.

Clearly, there is an appetite for Rolex triple calendars, which is why a recent patent filing by the brand has collectors salivating.

Not that long ago, the Stanley Quencher water bottle was all the rage. Then, Owala came along and stole the spotlight. Now, it looks like Stanley is trying to get back in the internet’s good graces with the Wellspring Bottle. Peak Design Form Leather Strap

Peak Design has (finally) released a minimalist new camera strap to combat the traditional bulkiness found in most camera setups. The Form Leather Strap is crafted from premium ECCO full-grain leather with low-profile, machined aluminum hardware and a custom sealed finish along the strap’s underside, which provides the ideal mix of glide and grip. The Form Leather Strap is wearable as a cross-body, neck or shoulder strap, and is offered in fixed-length small, medium and large sizes. Available colorways include “Black,” “Tan” and “Amber.”

Clearaudio is a German hi-fi manufacturer that specializes in high-end audiophile turntables — they range from a few grand to a lot more (its flagship Reference Jubilee costs $30,000). Now, it has launched a premium collection of precision tools designed to keep your turntable and vinyl records in immaculate condition. According to the brand, “each tool has been carefully designed to meet Clearaudio’s exacting engineering standards, helping enthusiasts achieve and maintain the highest possible sound quality from their analogue systems.”

Bell & Ross BR-X3 Night Vision

Bell & Ross takes the concept of “night vision” to the extreme with this mega-lumed version of its high-end BR-X3 pilot’s watch. Not only is virtually everything on the dial — including the power reserve indicator — coated with Super-LumiNova X2, the Swiss lume-maker’s brightest-glowing formula, but even the case’s forged carbon shell and rubber elements are impregnated with an overdose of green-emission lume. Inside the watch is B&R’s high-performing manufacture calibre, the BR-CAL.323, which is COSC-certified and has a power reserve of 70 hours.

Ridge Merino’s new Cloudripper Grid Fleece collection boasts its warmest technical midlayers yet, including a half zip pullover and crew pullover, plus a balaclava. The most fully featured of all is this jacket, which features a cozy Merino wool grid fleece fabric with lighter-weight fleece in the lower back and hood for easier tucking in and sneaking under a helmet, respectively. The garment also boasts a low-profile bonded chest pocket, two zippered hand warmer pockets, underarm gussets and thumb holes.

Cold-weather icons like the N-2B Parka and the N-3B also stand out, each created to withstand extreme conditions. Together, these garments tell the story of Alpha Industries’ precision, durability, and cultural impact with outerwear that has remained essential for more than half a century.

Casio’s Affordable Outdoor Tool Watch Might Be More Useful Off Your Wrist

Tool watches can take on many forms. And sometimes, their most useful functions happen off one’s wrist.

By its very definition, a tool watch should serve a specific purpose.

Whether that be deep-sea diving, measuring a car’s elapsed time around a track or tracking multiple time zones, tool watches can do things other timepieces can’t.

But when thinking about the functionality of a watch, most enthusiasts focus on dials, bezels and cases, and the myriad mechanisms packed therein.

The trail-ready Pro Trek PRJ-B001, on the other hand, starts with the band.

The Pro Trek PRJ-B001, released in 2024, returns with a brand-new black, gray and yellow variant (pictured).

Band together

“Inspired by outdoor gear,” Casio says, the watch features an innovative bungee cord band that opens up a handful of opportunities in the great outdoors.

The most obvious of those is that the watch is easy to adjust on the fly. That allows the wearer to quickly throw on a rain shell and put the PRJ-B001 over a sleeve — or perhaps the back of their daypack.

On that note, the strap is arguably even more useful off the wearer’s wrist, serving as a makeshift cord tie or simply hung off the roof of one’s tent as a communal timekeeper.

The bungee-cord band can also be used to tie down any manner of things outdoors.

The watch used Bluetooth connectivity for automatic time correction, while Tough Solar helps to extend the battery life; a full charge lasts up to seven months.

There’s also a rotary guard bezel, which can lock and protect the buttons from any accidental pressings out on the trail.

Availability and pricing

First released in 2024, the series expands this fall with the introduction of a new color variant: the PRJ-B001-1.

It features black across the band, bezel, case and dial, with high-contrast hands and indices in light gray.

The accent color is yellow, which extends to the carabiner-inspired indicator hand on the inset dial.

Now available in Japan, the PRJ-B001-1 is expected to cost $180 when it hits Casio’s US website in the coming weeks.

This Is the Most Durable Vans Shoe Ever Made, and It’s Probably Not Even Close

Nearly 60 years ago, Vans kicked off a journey that would have an indelible impact on the fashion world, helping to catapult skate (and surf) culture into the mainstream.

All these years later, the brand’s first-ever launch, the Style 44, remains one of Vans most popular, recognizable, timeless designs. However, you might know it by a different name: the Authentic.

It’s fitting, then, that the sneaker that changed everything would be the platform for a new step (or perhaps giant leap) forward for the brand. Called the OTW by Vans Authentic 44 HT Vibram, this sneaker might be the toughest the brand has ever made by a huge margin.

For the most part, these sneakers look like classic Vans Authentics.
Vans

Classic fantastic

You might be wondering how one of the brand’s most old-school silhouettes could be its most durable shoe ever, especially considering how much the brand has been delving into hardcore outdoor hikers and the like. Well, it’s because of how this sneaker was made.

For the first time ever, Vans has employed Dyneema, a synthetic fabric that’s approximately 15 times stronger than steel (of the same weight). For reference, this material is typically used in hardcore outdoor gear, like mountaineering packs.

New Balance 1000 Cordura

New Balance revived the 1000 and upgraded it with a Cordura base layer on the upper. The futuristic design, introduced in 1999, gets an outdoors friendly revamp with olive green suede and taupe leather panels over the mesh base. A sculpted polyurethane midsole provides cushioning and support and a reinforced toe cap adds protection on the trail. The upper is topped with reflective detailing for lowlight visibility.

Czapek Antarctique Plique-à-Jour

Czapek gives its sleeper steel sports watch a makeover 1,500 years in the making by incorporating a dial made using the ancient Byzantine art of plique-à-jour. The unique dial was produced by applying thin layers of colored enamel directly over an openworked metal frame with no backing and then firing it so that the enamel adheres to the metal. This results in a framework pattern of colorful, translucent windows of enamel resembling stained glass. In this case, the windows give a view into the gorgeous in-house Cal. SXH7 movement. A limited edition of only ten watches, the Antarctique Plique-à-Jour is available from Czapek for CHF 62,100 (~$77,340).

Atari

Atari Intellivision Sprint

Long before the video game console war between PlayStation and Xbox — and even before Nintendo versus Sega — there was the Atari 2600 against Intellivision. Now, 45 years later (and in one of the strangest mash-ups in video game history), Atari has revived its long-dead rival for modern audiences. This Atari redux of the Intellivions looks like the original, but has plenty of modern functionality, like HDMI output for contemporary TV compatibility. It also comes with 45 built-in games (but can be expanded for more), two wireless controllers, an integrated charging doc, USB-A connections and more.

2026 Kawasaki Z650RS ABS

The new edition of what the brand calls “a true middleweight retro” offers an almost irresistible combination of good looks, approachability and price. The first and last of those qualities kind of speak for themselves, while the middle one comes courtesy of a 31.5-inch seat height and 412-pound curb weight, plus assist & slipper clutch, traction control, ABS and horizontal back-link rear suspension. The Z650RS packs a nice punch too, with the 649cc engine making a claimed 67 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and max torque of 48.5 lb-ft at 6,700 rpm.

This capable new sleeping bag from Exped is 100-percent feature-rich, and half the price of competitors. Built for three-season backpacking, the Terra 30 is built with RDS-certified, premium 650+ fill-power grey duck down and is designed for a balance of reduced weight and compressed volume. Made with a fully recycled DWR free 20D ripstop shell and lining, this unisex sleeping bag weighs less than two pounds across all of its sizes, making it easy to stuff in your backpack. Thoughtful details round out the bag, and include the glow-in-the-dark-zipper pull, which makes it easy to unzip in the dark, and the internal pocket for stashing your phone or headlamp close by.

Ferrari SC40

Ferrari’s latest retro-inspired homage comes in the form of the SC40, a one-off tribute to the F40 based on the 296 GTB. As such, while the car features a cutting-edge V6 hybrid drivetrain under the hood, it also sports a large fixed rear wing, Lexan louvres and other old-school touches such as carbon-kevlar. In keeping with the SC40’s bespoke nature, Ferrari designed the white paint specifically for the car.

Tangent Spectrum II

The Danish hi-fi manufacturer has introduced a new and improved versions of its Spectrum loudspeaker range. According to the brand, the second-generation models have been “acoustically refined” and feature a “updated, even sleeker design.” Like before, there are bookshelf, floorstanding and center channel loudspeakers, as well as subwoofers, allowing you to configure them in a traditional stereo or home theater system. Notably, Tangent has added on-wall LCR loudspeakers to the range for the first time, which is ideal for building more immersive home cinema and multi-channel systems. Available in black or white satin finishes.

One such brand, Honda, grabbed the most attention with the addition of E-Clutch to its entry-level cruiser, while the other, Kawasaki, stirred equal excitement thanks to a military-inspired adventure bike

But that’s not all the news from those and other notable manufacturers. Catch up on the latest and greatest moto launches below.

Honda CB1000 Hornet SP 5Four

Launched early this year, Honda’s CB1000 Hornet SP is already lauded for its performance, driven by a 1,000cc four-banger, which in the Euro trim makes 155 horsepower at 11,000 rpm and 78.9 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 9000 rpm. Thanks to Guy Willison’s 5Four Motorcycles, this special edition makeover (limited to 54 bikes) is largely aesthetic in the best possible way. Highlights include candy red, blue and pearl white “endurance-inspired paintwork,” a high-rise tail tidy and a Racefit titanium exhaust with laser-etched 5Four and Racefit logos.

2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally

The Rally already boasts more suspension travel and clearance than the standard Multistrada V4, but this new edition really stands out with a number of smart features that improve the overall experience. These include an automatic lowering device (ALD), bump detection and 70 sensors constantly assessing performance and adjusting accordingly. There’s also a quickshifter (standard), five ride modes and a 6.5-inch TFT screen, plus aerodynamic deflectors, a bigger windshield and repositioned pannier mounts that maximize passenger legroom.

Black and silver classic-style motorcycle with chrome exhaust and round headlight on a white background.Kawasaki

2026 Kawasaki W230 ABS

This charming little bike leads with its retro looks: the teardrop tank, steel fenders, spoked wheels and silver pea shooter exhaust pipe, plus the classically round LED headlight, round indicators, reflectors and mirrors and round twin gauges in front of the bars. Meanwhile, a 233cc air-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine combines with a 6-speed return shift transmission, curb weight of 315 pounds and seat height of 29.3 inches for a super-approachable way to get the hang of motorcycling fundamentals. It’s still a damn good time for more experienced riders too.

Matte gray Honda touring motorcycle with tall windshield and dual front disc brakes on a gray background.Honda

2026 Honda NT1100 MT

Honda’s best-selling touring bike for the European market gets a new color scheme for 2026, Iridium Gray Metallic. This particular hue is so gray it’s basically black, covers most of the motorcycle — with the exception of the brake discs, skid plate and most of the exhaust pipe — and looks awesome. Beyond the looks, this bike’s torque (82.6 lb-ft at 5,500 rpm, courtesy of its Africa Twin-derived 1,084cc engine) in concert with premium suspension and brakes will carry you just about as fast and far as you’d like to go.

Black and red Honda CB1000R motorcycle with round headlight and chrome exhaust on a white background.Honda

2026 Honda CB1000F

According to Honda, the CB1000F is inspired by the 1979 CB750F, yet amped and revamped for 2025. The most notable throwback touches include the big round headlight, the angular tank and the serpentine exhaust pipes emerging from the engine and converging in a glorious bell-shaped silencer. Said engine is a down-tuned Fireblade-derived 1000cc inline-four making a claimed 122 horsepower at 9,000rpm and 76 lb-ft of torque at 8,000rpm. The bike also boasts Showa suspension, Nissin brakes and three built-in ride modes — Standard, Sport and Rain — plus two customizable ones you can dial in yourself.

Kawasaki KLR 650 adventure motorcycle with camouflage front fairing, olive fuel tank, and black panniers.Kawasaki

2026 Kawasaki KLR650 Adventure ABS

This affordable and capable off-roader rocks a classic rugged ADV silhouette, outfitted with factory-installed side cases, LED auxiliary light set, engine guards and tank pad — plus (for just $100 more) the head-turning military-inspired Metallic Matte Dark Green paint scheme. The 652cc engine makes a claimed 40 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 39.1 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm, while eight inches of ground clearance and a similar amount of front and rear suspension travel ensure you can run roughshod over just about anything.

White and black Suzuki e-VanVan electric motorcycle with blue seat and round LED headlight.Suzuki Cycles

Suzuki e-VanVan

Among many head-turning concepts showcased at the ongoing Japan Mobility Show is Suzuki’s electrified throwback to an adorable bike that launched in the 1970s, came back in 2003 as a 125cc ride and stuck around till 2016. While much of what the brand is teasing at the show leans weirder and wilder, this small wonder feels pretty practical. Details are scant at the moment, but considering the current popularity of similar-looking (albeit gas-powered) bikes like the Honda Monkey, here’s hoping this thing pops up stateside down the road.

Matte black Kawasaki Z motorcycle with green rims and gold front forks on a white background.Kawasaki

2026 Kawasaki Z1100 SE ABS

The aggressive sugomi spirit of the Z1000, last seen in the US in 2016, returns with a vengeance in the form of the brand’s biggest and boldest Z model yet. While the looks speak for themselves, they are backed up by the guts, headlined by the bike’s beating heart, a liquid-cooled 1,099cc inline four, the largest-displacement engine to ever grace a Z. From within the aluminum twin-tube frame, this caged animal roars to life, making a ferocious 134 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 83.3 lb-ft of torque at 7,600 rpm.

Red and black electric dirt bike with gold front forks on a white stand.Stark Future

Stark Varg SM

Following the Varg MX and Varg EX, Stark Future has added to the lineup with its road-going supermoto SM. Like its stablemates, the EV is incredibly light — just 274.5 pounds — while also boasting a whopping 80 horsepower and 674 lb-ft of torque. While it doesn’t offer roadtrip-worthy range, topping up takes just two hours for a full charge.

Blue and black Honda motorcycle with gold front forks and bronze engine components on a gray background.Honda

2026 Honda CB650R E-Clutch

Since its 2019 launch, the naked street fighter sibling to the sportier CBR650R has carried the three-pronged appeal of approachability, affordability and aesthetics. That only gets better with four head-turning new hues — Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, Matte Jeans Blue Metallic, Candy Energy Orange and Grand Prix Red — rolling out in Europe and hopefully North America down the road. This 649cc dynamo happens to be an easy rider, too, thanks to E-Clutch, which basically takes over clutch operation so all you need to shift gears is your left foot.

Matte black Honda cruiser motorcycle with low seat and round headlight on a gray background.Honda

2026 Honda Rebel 300 E-Clutch

For 2026, Honda is giving its Rebel 300 cruiser the ultimate beginner-friendly upgrade in the form of E-Clutch technology. By removing the possibility of stalling, new riders can learn to operate the clutch lever and shift pedal without having to worry about perfect timing or technique.

Black and lime green Kawasaki KLX 230 SM motorcycle with dual mirrors and ABS front fender.Kawasaki

2026 Kawasaki KLX230SM ABS

Derived from an excellent dual-sport bike, this approachable, urban-ready ride boasts a 233cc fuel-injected, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine making a claimed 17 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and max torque of 13 lb-ft at 6,400 rpm. Generous suspension and clearance turn potholes into speed bumps while a digital instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity lets you pair with Kawasaki’s Rideology app to enhance your experience.

Orange and black KTM sport motorcycle on a rear stand against a cloudy sky background.KTM

2026 KTM 990 RC R

While KTM has struggled mightily in recent months, the Austrian brand appears to be bouncing back since India’s Bajaj basically bailed it out over the summer, as evidenced by the production of its first street-legal superbike in some time. Boasting a 990 Duke-derived 947cc parallel-twin LC8c engine making a claimed 128 hp and 76 lb.-ft. of torque, high-end Brembo HyPure caliper brakes and a huge 8.8-inch touchscreen TFT display, the 990 RC R might just prove to be a worthy challenger to the likes of Ducati, Yamaha and Aprilia.

Purple and yellow futuristic motorcycle with exposed mechanical parts on a white background.Vtopia Design

Vtopia Design ‘Anima’ Ducati Diavel V4

Following its angular Vyrus transformation, Italian motorcycle customizer Vtopia Design is back with another Ducati-powered creation. Dubbed ‘Anima,’ it’s based on the Diavel V4 cruiser, but it reimagines the muscle bike with an aggressive geometric form. With a soundtrack coming from a custom four-into-four titanium exhaust, it’s made only better by the dazzling array of CNC-milled aluminum and 3D-printed parts.

Matte black Kawasaki cruiser motorcycle with low seat and dual rear shocks on a white background.Kawasaki

2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S

The classically styled, nicely priced S edition of Kawasaki’s flagship cruiser hits the sweet spot of comfort, approachability and performance. Comfort comes courtesy of Ergo-Fit, by which the seat, footpegs and handlebars can be adjusted to one of 18 configurations to suit your height and reach. Approachability emerges from the rider-friendly sub-28-inch seat height and sub-500-pound curb weight, while performance takes off with a punchy 649cc engine making 60 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and max torque of 46.5 lb-ft at 6,600 rpm.

This Hearty All-Around EDC Knife Boasts Supersize Value at a Kids’ Meal Price

Flytanium is best known for its deep catalog of custom EDC knife parts, which allow you to comprehensively transform some of the knifemaking industry’s most iconic and popular folders. What you might not know is that the brand actually offers its own collection of complete knives, which are both well-designed and often surprisingly affordable.

Just this year, in fact, the brand dropped the Flytanium Arcade, a retro video game-inspired knife, and the Minim keychain folder.

Before both of those, however, the brand dropped an all-around outstanding value-packed knife called the Flytanium Beef at the tail-end of 2024. Now, that very same knife is making a triumphant comeback.

This knife packs more value than many others at twice its price.
Flytanium

All killer, no filler

The true beauty of the Flytanium Beef is in its balance of value and affordability. It’s not a particularly showy knife, nor are its materials mind-blowing, but they don’t need to be. They just need to get the job done, and that’s exactly what they do.

For reference, the knife is priced at $60 apiece. By today’s standards, that’s squarely in the budget-friendly realm, verging on qualifying as an ultra-budget EDC knife (at least as far as trustworthy options are concerned).

Nike x LEGO Design Modular Playground In Shanghai School

OLA Shanghai collaborated with LEGO China and NIKE to create a playground at Baoshan No. 2 Central Primary School that integrates movement and creativity. The playground takes design inspiration from the modularity and logic of a 2×3 LEGO brick.

The design of the playground translates LEGO’s modularity into physical and scalable play experiences for the children. Flexible, open-ended structures pave the way for play and physical activity. Large and lightweight blue blocks inspired by LEGO bricks adorn the playground.

These modular elements serve as climbing, balancing, and exploration structures that encourage creativity and play among the children. They urge the children to use their imagination in creating routes and express their ideas on play and design. There are also yellow-studded red LEGO block-like seating surrounding the building’s glazing.

Moreover, the collaborative project highlight’s sustainability. The 550-square-meter playground attracts with its bright orange flooring made out of recycled shoes processed with Nike Grinding technology. It also has red, orange, and yellow gradients reminiscent of Nike’s basketball courts. Then white line-markings reminiscent of athletic tracks divide these colorful areas.

“The playground’s overall structure brings together layered interaction with a focus on safety and sustainability, meeting the physical activity needs and safety standards of primary school students of all ages. Designers carefully balanced sport functionality with free play, creating a space that meets professional standards while offering rich interactive experiences,” said Nike.

“Recycled materials form the foundation of the play areas, while vertical layering and blurred boundaries maximise experiential variety within the space constraints,” it added. This is the 50th playground  developed by Nike as part of its “Move to Zero” initiative. It plans to build 100 Nike Grind courts across China by 2030.

Last Year’s Coolest Affordable Dress Watch Is Back and Somehow Even Cooler Than Before

Although it has only been around since 2019, French microbrand Serica has established a strong design language that combines modern minimalism and mid-century elegance across its line of tool watches. The one word I would use to describe the brand’s unique aesthetic is “cool.”

That aesthetic was consistent throughout the brand’s first three models: a field watch, a diver and a GMT. But then Serica decided to make a dress watch, leaving open the question of what a dress watch from a brand that exclusively makes tool watches would look like.

We got our answer last year when Serica launched the Ref. 1174 Parade, a dress watch that looks like nothing else, with a unique, stepped, oval-shaped “stadium” case and a minimalist dial with the tiniest applied indices you’ll ever see.

a serica dress watch on a mans wrist
The Parade from Serica was last year’s most surprising — and coolest — dress watch.
Photo by Johnny Brayson for Gear Patrol

The watch is still unmistakably Serica, though, carrying over brand hallmarks like the sterile dial, vertically brushed bezel and robust water resistance.

The Parade is, like the rest of Serica’s watches, achingly cool. Now, Serica has launched a new version of its dress watch, and by some miracle, it’s even cooler than before.

A Fan-Favorite Microbrand Brings GMT Functionality to One of Its Best Tool Watches

Other returning elements include a 41-hour power reserve, an impressive 300-meter water resistance rating and an antireflective double-domed sapphire crystal.

All of this is to say that lovers of the original watch will be happy to find that the elements that make it so iconic remain largely intact. However, some key differences help set this watch apart from all others.

The brushed stainless steel case is mated to an antireflective double-domed sapphire crystal.
Unimatic

Icon reimagined

Perhaps it’s an obvious statement, but the chief difference between this watch and previous Modello Due models is its GMT function, which allows users to keep track of the time in a second time zone without sacrificing the watch’s standard functionality. Still, it needs to be said that this is the root of the watch’s differences.

That starts with the elements on the dial. As mentioned, the watch now has an additional GMT hand, noted by its larger Delta tip. That hand coincides with the new 24-hour numerical markers that surround the otherwise minimalist dial.

Proof Tahr Fleece Jacket

While Patagonia is the name that comes to mind whenever most folks think of fleece, Proof is looking to carve a little bit of that legacy out for itself with its latest, the Tahr Fleece Jacket. While this jacket has a similarly timeless retro style, it’s also highly distinct, thanks to its waffle-pile custom-weave fleece material — what the brand calls a “soft material that’s inspired by technical alpine midlayers.” It also has Herringbone elastic cuffs to trap heat, gussets for a better range of motion, YKK zippers and more.

Reebok Smart Ring

Watch out, Oura: Reebok just released its own wearable fitness tracker. The Smart Ring continuously monitors heart rate, sleep quality, activity levels, recovery, and more and turns it all into what it’s calling its “One Score,” a daily snapshot that eliminates needing to keep track of multiple metrics. Constructed from titanium with a single integrated lithium-ion battery, which ensures consistent performance while keeping the ring lightweight, the wearable delivers data via the Reebok Fitness App, which reveals your holistic One Score. Choose from “Matte Black,” “Shiny Gold” and “Matte Silver” color options. The Smart Ring retails for $249, while the Reebok app is $99/year.

Wallbox Quasar 2 Bidrectional Charger

With the first successful installation of a Quasar 2 in the United States, Wallbox is bringing bidirectional charging to American Kia EV9 owners. In practice, the added vehicle-to-home capabilities will enable homeowners to draw power from their car batteries during peak-rate hours to reduce utility bills or to ensure that lights stay on during outages. Now that the pilot is complete, Wallbox will be looking to expand Quasar 2 availability throughout the USA.

SNS x Clarks Originals Wallabee

SNS and Clarks have teamed up to commemorate Clarks’s 200th anniversary with these special-edition Wallabees. SNS took the iconic moccasin and treated it with a bespoke, seasonally eye-catching Acid Realtree Camo colorway. The Wallabee still retains its iconic elements, such as its signature combination and use of suede and rubber crepe sole. Only, it’s dressed in an exclusive pattern that will be available for a limited time at SNS locations and through the online store.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elite

The Arctis Nova Elite is the company’s flagship gaming headset for 2025. It combines a premium build with “audiophile-grade” performance, plus support for all the advanced gaming features and technologies you’d expect from what SteelSeries is calling “the best high-end gaming headset on the planet.” Additionally, its versatility and bespoke design allow it to function as a premium pair of active noise-canceling wireless headphones when not used for gaming. It’s compatible with PCs and Macs, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

One of the Best Watches Under $2,000 Just Got Even Better

Formex is able to churn out so much cool, innovative tech because the brand effectively produces its cases, bracelets and clasps in-house through its sister brand, Swiss-based manufacture Dexel. Another company under the Formex corporate umbrella is Swiss dial manufacture Cadranor, and that brings me to the sole difference between the new Essence 41 and the Space Ghost: the dial (hands and indices included).

There are no meteorite dials to be found in these new, more accessible models. Instead, we have the same garage door-textured dials seen on the other Essence sizes in four colors, all of which are also available in the other sizes: Arctic White, Blue, Gamaret (Red) and Dégradé, a smoked brown. As always, the dials feature diamond-polished indices and hands filled with Super-LumiNova.

Four round Formex Essence Chronometer watch dials in blue, brown, red, and white on a black textured surface with a wooden tool pointing at the white dial.
The dials are manufactured in-house by one of Formex’s sister brands.
Formex

Also, as with the other Essence sizes, the 41 is a chronometer powered by a COSC-certified Sellita SW200 automatic movement. The movement is visible behind a sapphire caseback, while an AR-coated sapphire crystal protects the dial.

Pricing and availability

The new Essence 41 is considerably less expensive than the Space Ghost, coming in at $1,690 when paired with a leather, rubber or fabric strap and topping out at $1,890 on the superb bracelet.

Uniquely, Formex also includes all tariffs, taxes, duties and shipping in the sticker price, so there are no surprises at checkout. That means this truly is a sub-$2,000 watch, all in, even if it doesn’t look, feel or perform like one.

Nike’s Best Rugged Sneaker in Recent Years Is Still the All-Weather Workhorse to Beat

After a successful pilot program, the Vomero 5’s weatherized step brother finally returns for season two.

Lining shoes with Gore-Tex can only get you so far. And yet it remains one of the most consistent strategies among shoemakers to “winterize” popular models.

Nike took a different approach with the Vomero 5, a retro runner from 2011 that has since become of the the brand’s most popular everyday styles.

Instead of simply lining the upper with a water-resistant membrane and calling it a day, Nike made the Vomero Roam, which slots into the Swoosh catalog more as a step brother than a full sibling.

Winter blues

It would appear that shoe, first released in 2024, made a positive first impression during its debut.

Nike has decide to renew the Vomero Roam for a second season, with the first new colorway in months surfacing on the brand’s official website in South Korea.

The shoe’s signature trait is a wraparound mudguard that matches the sidewall of the midsole.
Nike

The shoe’s signature trait is an oversized mudguard that wraps around the upper, showcased here in “Cool Gray” alongside a matching midsole.

That of course protects both the textile upper — presented in “Metallic Pewter” and finished with a DWR treatment — and the wearer’s foot from puddle splashes, otherwise ruining a clean look.

Fret not. The upper is still treated with a DWR finish.

What’s more, the Vomero Roam features a lace toggle system that makes for an easy on and off, even with gloves or a thick winter coat getting in the way. And reflective details add extra visibility for early sunsets.

Finally, the tacky rubber outsole provides more grip and heft than what can be found on the everyday Vomero 5, giving it the qualities (and confidence) of a boot.

Availability and pricing

For now, the new colorway of the Vomero Roam is currently only available in South Korea. However, it’s expected to make its way to the US in the coming weeks.

Stateside shoppers can currently buy previously released variants of the shoe, which cost $190.

How Digital Assets Are Entering Everyday Spending

Cryptocurrencies are going beyond exchanges and entering daily life. They are becoming more accessible, whether on the web or in retail shops.

Cryptocurrencies are no longer restricted to the worlds of speculation and trade. They are steadily entering day-to-day payments, and you can use cryptocurrencies to pay for products, services, and web platforms. This development reflects a new era in the use of digital currency by focusing more on convenience, access, and technological assimilation.

Expanding Access in Day-to-Day Transactions

The use of cryptocurrencies for everyday spending has sharply increased. Reports from crypto exchange platforms show growing use of digital assets to pay for travel, retail purchases, restaurants, and subscription services. With mobile wallets and built-in payment solutions, you can convert digital assets into local currency instantly at the point of use.

The commentators see this as a change of perception that cryptocurrencies are not exclusive to the investment aspect but can be a functional medium of exchange alongside the current payment systems. The view is captured by Yi He, the Co-Founder of Binance, in the following terms: “Crypto isn’t just the future of finance, it’s already remaking the system, one day at a time,” a reflection of the increasing use in the day-to-day space.

Beyond urban centers, smaller towns and emerging markets are also witnessing the integration of digital payments as a global trend. Some platforms now let you use digital coins for everyday necessities like groceries, electronics, and ticket events, showing the expanded diversification of cryptocurrencies for applications beyond trading and investing.

The Contribution of Crypto Exchanges to Consumer Accessibility

Crypto exchanges serve as a keystone in enabling your use of digital currencies. Statistics from exchange platforms reveal trends in transactions, access to liquidity, and global adoption patterns. They help you navigate spending opportunities efficiently. By providing a payment gateway alongside access to digital assets, exchanges are moving crypto from speculative tools to an operational currency you can use daily.

Furthermore, the adoption of cryptocurrency usage isn’t limited to a particular region but is gaining ground across the entire world. As Richard Teng, CEO of Binance, notes: “Our new Shariah Earn product offers halal-compliant earning opportunities and allows the global Muslim world to participate in crypto confidently.” This demonstrates how the use of crypto continues to expand across different demographics and financial cultures, including yours.

Retail and E-Commerce Integration

Online stores and physical shops are accepting cryptocurrencies as a way of payment. According to reports on cryptocurrency exchanges, the number of merchants switching to digital currencies has increased significantly, with a very broad range of products, such as technology, gadgets, and luxury goods included. By paying with Bitcoin or other digital assets, you can make cross-border payments easier and avoid reliance on traditional banking systems.

Travel and hospitality sectors are also adopting crypto. Airlines and hotels now let you pay in digital assets for bookings, giving instant conversions and avoiding delays or currency exchange fees. With the growing payment infrastructure, you can see how smaller businesses are also thinking about accepting crypto for everyday expenses.

Jonas Juenger, Regional Director DACH at Binance, notes: “Local Binance Pay collaborations show how crypto is becoming part of everyday life, including grocery shopping in supermarkets, and highlight the powerful synergy between traditional retail and digital payment solutions, offering an enriched shopping experience. It’s proof that crypto isn’t just for traders or institutions, it’s for everyone.”

Security and Trust in Daily Use

Security is a chief enabler in the mass adoption of digital assets. Platforms offering transparency in transaction monitoring, fraud management, and safe storage facilities provide an indication of how trust is being enabled. Nils Andersen-Röed, Binance’s Global Head of FIU, says, “Notwithstanding sophisticated privacy measures, any crypto transaction leaves a footprint, a valuable resource for contemporary law enforcement. As crypto crime becomes more sophisticated, international collaboration and effective public-private partnerships are necessary rather than a luxury.”

Aside from such regulatory structures, technological innovations such as multi-signature purses, storage devices, and fraud-detection algorithms also build consumer confidence. Merchants also check payments more effectively and consumers have the security of knowing payments are secure and hence more reliable use of crypto in everyday life.

Future Directions and Mainstream Acceptance

The future of cryptocurrency payments is exciting for you as a user. Programmable payments, loyalty programs, and digital identification make spending crypto more convenient. Crypto exchanges show rising consumer usage, signaling a transition to daily adoption. Mobile wallets and growing popularity in emerging markets further enable you to incorporate crypto into your routine.

Putting Crypto into Your Daily Life

Cryptocurrencies are moving beyond trading desks and into your daily life. From travel and dining to subscriptions and luxury products, crypto is evolving from an investment tool to a payment mechanism. With expanding digital ecosystems and increasing acceptance, you can see how digital currencies are becoming a seamless part of today’s lifestyle, combining technology and finance.

Ulysse Nardin Freak S Enamel

The world’s most advanced time-only watch just went old school. Ulysse Nardin’s Freak S, the wildest version of the brand’s flagship Freak line, which famously has the movement itself stand in for the dial and hands, has a new version that utilizes centuries-old enameling practices. The brand’s in-house enameling workshop has applied gorgeous enamel to the watch’s rotating hour disc, which effectively acts as the dial, and is available in either bright turquoise or ruby red. With the enamel acting as the backdrop for the Freak S’s starship-like flying carousel with its twin silicon oscillators, it’s the ultimate blend of classical and modern watchmaking. Both the turquoise and red versions are limited to 50 pieces each and are priced at $174,400.

Leica x Porter Backpack with Camera Case

Leave it to Porter and Leica to team up on an absolutely outstanding photography-focused backpack such as this one. Not only is the styling impeccable, but the functionality is even better. In fact, this is really three bags in one. There’s the main backpack, which looks great and is built rock-solid. But there’s also a removable camera cube, as well as an even smaller removable accessory bag. Even if you’re not a photographer, the modularity of this bag is perfect for EDC, travel and much more.

Herman Miller Embody Gaming Chair (Ignite and Nova)

In 2020, Herman Miller teamed up with Logitech G to create the Embody Gaming Chair — it’s essentially a suped-up version of the brand’s popular office chair, the Embody Chair. And fast forward to today, and it’s being released in two new colors. There’s “Ignite,” a sportswear-inspired chair with “Dark Mineral” grey upholstery and “Ignite” orange accents. And there’s “Nova,” a fashion-inspired chair with a “Nightfall” navy upholstery and “Nova” purple accents.

2026 KTM 990 RC R

While KTM has been struggling mightily over the past year or so, the Austrian brand appears to be bouncing back since India’s Bajaj basically bailed it out over the summer, as evidenced by the production of its first street-legal superbike in some time.

2026 Alfa Romeo Tonale

Alfa Romeo just recently rolled out a mid-cycle refresh for its compact, entry-level crossover SUV, the Tonale. It features a long list of updates including a redesigned front end, featuring a new concave “scudetto” grille that is more reminiscent of the grilles used on some of Alfa’s most iconic classic models, new wheel designs, a refreshed color palette, and more. For those looking for a more unique variant, a new Sport Speciale Edition launches with bespoke 20-inch and a two-tone black-and-pearl Alcantara-trimmed interior.

Wrangler x ROA Orte Denim Cargo

Wrangler and boutique outdoor brand ROA have teamed up on an apparel collection that fuses progressive Italian technical design with American heritage. The entire collection combines Wrangler’s iconic denim fabric with ROA’s modern aesthetic, with the standout piece being the Orte Denim Cargo. The dark brown, washed cotton denim comes in a relaxed-fit silhouette and features embroidered contrast rivets on the pockets and reinforced knees, topstitched logos on the back pockets and a co-branded, embroidered ROA and Wrangler jacquard label.

One of the Best Jumping Hour Watches Just Got a Regular Production Revamp

Bremont explains that the case is inspired by “20th-century trench watches,” maintaining the brands customary military lean. It does have more of a vintage field watch feel, especially with the nubuck leather strap, than Cartier’s Art Deco masterpiece.

The Terra Nova Jumping Hour gets everything right this time, and it is easily one of the most intriguing releases to come from the British watchmaker this year.

Peeking through the window

Guichet is a French word that translates to window or booth, and it refers to the two or three windows cut out of a solid metal dial to display the time. The most famous examples incorporate a jumping hour movement, which instantly changes the displayed number on the turn of the hour.

The steel bracelet creates more of a modern sports watch feel than a field watch.

Bremont’s vintage military take on a guichet has an hour window at 12 o’clock, a small seconds window at the center and a scale-style minutes window at six o’clock.
