For the Inflection, the brand has gone with its first Swiss movement, and it’s even more impressive than the Pequignet Calibre EPM03 in the Ancestra.
The new watch is powered by a heavily customized Girard-Perregaux Cal. 03300, a highly respected automatic from one of the masters of the craft. You can find the same movement in many of GP’s Laureato and 1966 references, but for the Inflection, the Swiss manufacture created custom bridges and a rotor inspired by depictions of wind in historical Chinese paintings. The result is absolutely gorgeous and looks decidedly impressive in the metal.

Pricing and availability
With its full tantalum case and bracelet, insane levels of finishing, hand-crafted dial and custom Girard-Perregaux movement, the Inflection is — by far — Atelier Wen’s most ambitious watch to date. It is also, by far, the brand’s most expensive.
The Inflection is priced at a staggering $29,800 on the bracelet, though you can save a full ten grand by skipping the bracelet and getting the watch on a sailcloth and rubber strap. That’s a huge increase over the Ancestra’s $5,850 price tag, which previously was the brand’s priciest watch.

The OG Moc toe is based on the Bird Shooter, a boot developed by the Berlin, Wisconsin, brand in 1910. It is a raw version of the modern moc boots made by Russell and a group of brands from Maine.
The key feature is a double-layered vamp, which has two layers of leather forming the lower portion of the boot, wrapping around the foot like a sock. Even the handful of other brands that still make genuine moc boots, like Easymoc, Rancourt and Yuketen, don’t use double-layered vamps.
Paying homage
Traditional Native American moccasins feature a double layer of leather on the vamp for increased protection and durability, as they lack an outsole. Moccasins from brands like L.L.Bean and Minnetonka are still made this way.

I’m a sucker for a good panda dial, but after a while, they can all start to look pretty similar.
That’s what caught my eye about Brellum’s latest addition to its Pandial series of chronographs with contrasting subdials. Here was a panda-dial chronograph in the most classic setup — a white dial, black subdials and black tachymeter bezel — but there was something different about it.
Instead of the usual two or three subdials, this Pandial has four. This not only sets it apart from other chronographs in the Pandial collection, but I’m also struggling to think of another automatic panda-dial chronograph with four functional subdials. You’ve got the Universal Geneve Tri-Compax, but that’s been discontinued for what, 50 years? (Though it may come back.)
So, how did Brellum pull this off?

Panda power
Unlike the Universal Geneve mentioned above, the Brellum doesn’t use its fourth subdial to display a pointer date and moonphase. The watch does feature a date, but it’s a discreet window at 6:00, with its white-on-black color scheme perfectly blending into the 12-hour totalizer within which it’s placed.
At 12:00, the Pandial features a 30-minute totalizer for the chrono, and at 9:00, we have our running seconds indicator. That’s where most chronographs call it quits, but Brellum adds a little something extra for the fourth register at 3:00.

For starters, the brand was the official timekeeper of the race, with Tudor signage along the track, Tudor digital clocks tracking the race’s official time (which stretched on for more than five hours as the riders made 18 laps of the city-spanning circuit) and massive ads touting the brand’s cycling-specific chronograph, the Pelagos FXD Chrono Cycling Edition. The winner of the race also received a special one-of-one example of said watch with a special engraving on the caseback commemorating the victory.
But Tudor’s involvement went far beyond the typical role of an official timekeeper. The brand sponsors its own team — Tudor Pro Cycling — and is the only watch brand with an eponymous UCI team. Tudor’s team has only been competing since 2023, and it’s currently ranked as a UCI ProTeam, which is a rung below the top-ranked UCI WorldTeams. The team was invited to compete in the Québec race as one of two wild cards, the other being Team Canada.
In a twist that Tudor couldn’t have scripted better if it tried, Tudor Pro Cycling’s top rider — two-time UCI World Road Champion Julian Alaphilippe — won the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec in a thrilling come-from-behind victory, taking the lead for the first time near the end of the final lap. As a result, he stood on the podium and received his special Tudor watch, while wearing a Tudor uniform, with a giant Tudor sign behind him.

The whole spectacle was very Tudor-heavy, of course, and was a striking symbol of how heavily the luxury watch brand had infiltrated this sport. Tudor sponsors other sports, too — the Alinghi Red Bull Racing sailing team that competes at the America’s Cup, and the Racing Bulls F1 team — but cycling is the only sport where the brand is setting the pace, so to speak.
Other watch brands do have a presence in cycling, to be sure. Tissot is the official timekeeper of the Tour de France and has a line of dedicated cycling watches. Breitling and Richard Mille both sponsor UCI teams, with the former sponsoring the Q36.5 ProTeam and the latter supporting UAE Team Emirates, the top-ranked team on the UCI World Tour.

On the body, it feels more like wearing a chore coat than a traditional suit jacket because all the restrictive elements have been removed.
The pants for both the Relaxed-Fit and Crosby designs are wide and straight, offering a similar free-flowing movement to sweatpants. They also have a higher waist with a longer rise, which is considerably more comfortable than a low-waisted Ludlow cut.

That said, it is still a proper suit. Most versions have a rope shoulder that creates a respectable, squared-off silhouette, and they are all double-vented. The sleeves have a four-button, non-functional cuff.

Mido’s Chronometer 1 is one of the best values in Swiss watchmaking, as it boasts a decorated 80-hour automatic movement equipped with an amagnetic silicon balance spring for well under $2,000. Here, the watch has received an unexpected motorsports makeover with the Chronometer 1 Racer. It features a black PVD stainless steel case and the line’s signature Geneva-striped dial, but it adds loads of visual interest with four contrasting rings around the dial’s edge in black, white, light blue and orange. This striking combo is then paired with a light blue leather strap featuring a pair of orange racing stripes. While Mido doesn’t make any concrete connection, the colorway is almost certainly inspired by the iconic blue-and-orange Gulf racing livery. And for those times when you want something a touch more demure, the watch also comes with a black leather rallye strap with white stitching.

Levi’s x Barbour Type II Waxed Trucker Jacket
The Levi’s x Barbour collaboration features ten products, including five jackets, but the definitive item may be Type II Waxed Trucker Jacket because it blends the best of both brands. The body is made of Barbour’s 8-ounce olive waxed canvas, built to the blueprint of Levi’s original Type II jacket, introduced in 1953. The corduroy-lined collar and signature zipper are taken directly from English classics like the Bedale and Ashby. It is also available in a washed-out denim version with a corduroy-lined collar.

Anker’s latest foray into off-grid power, the 2,400W Solix C2000 features lightning-quick charging times (around 80 percent capacity after just 45 minutes), with expandability up to 4kWh. It weighs 41.7 pounds, making it portable enough for DIY projects and tent camping. However, the TT-30 port will make it feel right at home paired with an RV. It’s also compatible with Anker’s Solix BP2000 Expansion Battery and PS400 Solar Panel.

The North Face x Cecilie Bahnsen Sarit Verto SA Gore-Tex Boot
The second chapter of the collaborative effort between The North Face and Cecilie Bahnsen includes a reimagined the alpine boot featuring a new, romantic take on high-alititude performance. The Sarit Verto SA Gore-Tex Boot may look sweet with its embroidered floral detailing, sculptural lines and delicate craftsmanship (even the BOA dial gets the flower power treatment,) but it’s highly capable thanks to its IBQ Dyneema ultra-high tenacity ripstop upper, waterproof zipper, the PFAS-free Gore-Tex 3L waterproof membrane, PU midsole and Vibram Mont rubber outsole. Much like the rest of the FW25 collaboration collection, this boot explores the increasingly-popular intersection of fashion-inspired designs and high-performance outdoor apparel and gear.

Although not quite the revival for the beloved Mazda6 sedan we were hoping for, Mazda revealed another rotary-powered four-door sports coupe concept. Called the VISION X-Coupe, it’s the automaker’s latest pitch at a rotary sports cr coupe revival. Despite having four doors, it harks back to the spirit of Mazda’s last rotary sports car, the RX-8, which also had a fastback-like body style and an unconventional four doors. This time, two rotary engines help power a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which churns out around 500 horsepower.

Technically, any analog watch can be used as a compass if you know what you’re doing.
Assuming you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, all you need to do is hold the watch parallel to the ground and point your hour hand toward the sun. South will be approximately halfway between your hour hand and the 12:00 marker. In the Southern Hemisphere, this same technique will give you the northern direction.
While not difficult to do, it’s not the most user-intuitive technique either, and accurately reading your direction using a watch dial can be tough to do. So it’s always a bonus when watches incorporate a compass bezel to make these readings easier, and Bell & Ross has gone the extra mile by making the compass feature a central attraction of its new GMT.

The new Bell & Ross BR-03 GMT Compass works a little differently than the method I described above, with the brand laying out the most accurate way to use your watch as a compass while also making it as clear to read as possible.
The 42mm stainless steel watch features a bizarre collection of hands that, at first, look pretty confusing. So I’ll quickly go over what each one does. The hour and minute hands are easiest. The hour hand is the small, white triangular hand, and the minute hand is the short white stick. Next is the seconds hand, which spans the whole length of the dial. The black half can be ignored; it’s the blue half that tracks your running seconds.

Pricing and availability
With its rose gold PVD case, hand-painted golden moonphase display and Rolex-emulating eisenkiesel dial, the Stratton is easily the most luxurious-looking Moonphase from Farer yet, and arguably the brand’s most luxe-looking watch, period.
But thankfully, it isn’t priced like it. Available on a wide variety of suede and leather straps, the Stratton can be preordered now on Farer’s website for $2,075. That makes it the second most-expensive watch in the brand’s current catalog, but it still feels underpriced to me.

The Toccata Heritage is not only powered by a hand-cranker — the Sellita-based Cal. RW4100 — but it’s fully visible behind a sapphire caseback. It even features some nice decoration, like blued screws and sunburst finishing on some of the gears. This helps keep the case of the Toccata Heritage extremely thin at just 6.95mm, though it can’t quite match the minuscule 5.9mm thickness of the Patek.

Pricing and availability
There are four versions of the new Toccata Heritage (plus five smaller, quartz-powered references that I don’t find as interesting).
If you really want to drive home the unabashed Patek vibes, then your best bet is to go with the blue version. It’s almost a dead ringer for the platinum Golden Ellipse and comes on a blue croc-stamped calf leather strap. That one, along with a gray version on gray leather, is priced at $1,675. You can also get the blue version on a five-row steel bracelet for $100 more, but I think it looks better on the strap.
My pick of the bunch, however, is the rose gold PVD version. It’s paired with a copper dial and gray leather strap and has a decidedly retro and comforting warmth to it. It’s a stunner, but it’s also the priciest of the quartet at $1,825, which, to be fair, is still a serious bargain.

Enough about the blade; there’s a whole other half of this knife that deserves attention. Interestingly, the handle has some traditional elements, but also offers what could be called a couple of modern conveniences.
The scales are made from red beech wood, which really brings home the knife’s rustic looks. Its gold-colored liners and other hardware aid that. However, it’s worth noting that this wood is heat-treated, which increases its stability and durability.
This is a lot of knife for such a low price.
As mentioned, this knife hearkens back to the heydays of slipjoints. However, it’s actually not a slipjoint; it has a bona fide liner lock. While still on the older side of the lock mechanism spectrum, it’s still more secure and safe than a simple slipjoint.
As a finishing touch, the butt of the handle has a brass-lined lanyard hole, should you choose to attach one. And you get all of this for … wait for it … under $30. Yes, really. Even considering its more basic elements, this is a lot of knife for such a low price, especially from a brand like Böker.
