Verdict: Though Tudor’s tool watches have been in the limelight for years (especially as the brand continues to build up the Black Bay lineup), its Style collection of watches have always offered a solid, well-finished dress watch at a reasonable price. While the brand isn’t updating the Style lineup this year, it is adding the 1926 collection that is very much in line with the Style lineup.

Like the Style, the 1926 is one of the few Tudor watches to opt for an ETA ébauche movement (the workhorse 2824) in place of an in-house engine, thus keeping the price low. That’s okay because the draw with the watches in the 1926 is the finishing. Most notably, the domed dial features a “waffle” pattern, a call-back to early Tudor watches and a decidedly old-school touch that feels unique in the industry. The watch can be configured with either a black, silver or opaline dial, steel or two-tone cases and bracelets and come in four different sizes: 28mm, 36mm, 29mm and 41mm.

Who It’s For: Like a lot of Baselworld pieces, this could easily serve double duty as a casual and dress watch. Given the vast amount of options Tudor is offering up in case sizes and color options, this will be a watch that will suit a lot of different men and women.
