Nest’s top-of-the-line smart thermostat, the Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Generation), is on sale right now for $199. That’s $50 cheaper than what it normally goes for. It’s a great and elegant way to help make your home more energy-efficient. Plus, it’s compatible with all major smart home ecosystems, including Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit, so it’s an excellent option for most people.

Also, Nest just sweetened the pot for everybody who owns (or wants to own) one of its smart thermostats by making one its best features free. It’s called “Seasonal Savings” and it was previously only available to utility customers that were Nest energy partners — but now it’s available to everybody.

Seasonal Savings allows the smart thermostat to automatically tweak temperature settings based on the time of day, the actual outside temperature and if anybody is actually home, with the end goal of making your home more energy-efficient and thus lowering your energy bill.

Seasonal Savings is expected to roll out to all Nest smart thermostats in the US and Canada later this summer. A notification will appear on your smart thermostat when the update is available.
