As for the new generation of supercars, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante and Porsche 911 GT2 RS are near the pinnacle, even eclipsing their bigger brothers like the 918 and Aventador. Sport Auto got both of these all-wheel-drive monsters at a shortened layout of the Hockenheimring in Germany.

The Performante rolls with the tried-and-true 5.2-liter V10 making 640 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. The all-wheel driver weighs in at 3,500 pounds or so for a weight-to-power ratio of 5.46 pounds per horse. The GT2 RS, on the other hand, houses a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six making 700 hp and 553 lb-ft. With a curb weight of 3,241 pounds, its ratio sits at 4.63 pounds per horse. It should be faster, but is it? In the hands of a tame racing driver Christian Gebhardt? Watch to find out.
