The 288 MPH Bugatti ‘Super’ Veyron | Sx-Z

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport holds the land speed record for fastest production car with a speed of 268 mph. Other manufacturers are introducing production models that are trying to break that record, but Bugatti is on top of them. Bugatti has set out to break their own record, before anyone else can, with their new commemorative end-of-production model.

Bugatti has a planned successor to the Veyron, nicknamed the “Super Veyron”.

The Super Veyron will have a top speed of 288 mph, power to weight ratio of 2.2 lb/hp, 1,600 horsepower and 0-60 mph in a lightening fast 1.8 seconds. Bugatti engineers are outfitting the Super Veyron with a reworked quad-turbocharged 8.0 or 9.6-liter W-16 engine.

The Bugatti ‘Super’ Veyron will make an appearance at the 2013 Frankfurt AutoShow next September. Looking to buy? Expect to pay $2.5 million.
