The BRABUS 800 Black & Gold Edition

There was a time when the Mercedes G-Wagon was built as a spartan utility vehicle, mainly used by fire departments and the military in Europe, it became an off-road vehicle for farmers too when it was built as a two-door model, and a longer, five-door model, but more recently the massive, angular styled Mercedes G-Wagon become somewhat of a status symbol among the rich and famous, and while the current model still boasts amazing off-road capabilities, not too many see muddy fields these days anymore, especially not the top of the line G63 AMG model, which comes with an MSRP of nearly $160,000 before adding options.

And while many would be over the moon being able to own a factory original Mercedes G63 AMG, that just won’t do for some of the wealthy customers that get in touch with German-based BRABUS, to get more power from this massive SUV, and make it look stand out from the factory original model even further … and that is exactly what the customer can expect from this new BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD Edition.

As you would expect, this limited edition of the BRABUS 800 will be finished in black paint with several gold-painted details, and from the name, you also should gather we’re talking about 800 hp (588 kW) from the 4.0-Liter supercharged V8 engine, a monumental 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque can propel this off-roader to 100 km/h from standing still in only 4.1 seconds … right up to an electronically limited top speed of 240 km/h (150 mph).

The looks of the G63 AMG base are enhanced by the famous BRABUS WIDESTAR body kit, which effectively widens the factory car by a full 10 cm (4 inches) with massive fender flares, but also comes with new front and rear bumpers to further distinguish the BRABUS from the standard Mercedes version, on this BLACK & GOLD edition we even find air vents behind the front wheels, and if you look closely at the front grille, you’ll notice two of the vertical bars get a touch of gold paint. An even more aggressive-looking engine cover completes the looks of this BRABUS 800.

Such an impressive aerodynamic modification also requires a matching set of wheels and these gold-painted 23-inch BRABUS Monoblock Y “Platinum Edition” hi-tech forged wheels with Yokohama tires are just what this car needs to make a statement as if the actively controlled exhaust flaps inside the BRABUS stainless sport exhaust system wouldn’t be enough to draw attention with their two black chromed side pipes on each side, offering a choice between a discreet “Coming Home” mode or a markedly sporty V8 sound.

And the fun continues on the inside, being a BRABUS limited edition model, I don’t think they’ve left anything on the interior of the base Mercedes G63 AMG untouched to create this BLACK & GOLD edition, everywhere you look, you’ll notice the best fine-grain leather available, naturally in black, but with touches of gold paint everywhere on the dashboard, doors, central console, and even the steering wheel.

While we all know stitching patterns and quilted seats, BRABUS goes beyond that with their shell-shaped quilting on the seat surfaces and on parts of the door panels. In addition, all these leather-trimmed areas are perforated with pinpoint precision and additionally fascinate with the golden fabric that shimmers through the perforations and thereby brings the BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION motto to life.

But what really sets the new BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION apart from the more ‘normal’ BRABUS 800 G-models can be found in the rear … no more bench seat like in the base G63 AMG, instead a pair of bucket seats take its place, complete with a central console in between them housing the 4.3-inch BRABUS Touch Control Panel which in ‘standby mode’ shows a clock with BRABUS 800 illustration while ‘in use’ you can control various seat functions in the rear, or move the front passenger seat to get more legroom. This panel also provides access to the standard COMAND system of the G-Class. For example, it allows turning the sound system up or down or even muting it from the rear in addition to controlling the reading lights and the starry sky in the headliner can also be controlled with it.

Just in case you might be wondering, the BRABUS 800 BLACK & GOLD EDITION starts at 380,672 euros MSRP (export price excluding VAT in Germany!).

Mansory Ferrari F8 Tributo

After MANSORY presented the open-top “MANSORY Stallone GTS (MY21)” a few weeks ago, a Spider for the highest demands of open-top driving, the presentation of another super sports car from the Italian noble brand from Maranello follows within a truly short time – the completely new “MANSORY F8XX” based on the Ferrari F8 Tributo.

While the “MANSORY Stallone GTS (MY21)” is primarily designed for MANSORY customers, for whom driving with an open-top is a priority, the “MANSORY F8XX” is clearly and unmistakably aimed in the direction of high performance and uncompromising lightweight construction, in order to do justice to the MANSORY clientele who expect and desire precisely these characteristics from their vehicle.

But as always, a complete vehicle conversion from MANSORY not only impresses with its high technical demands for increased performance but also with its visual appeal, which clearly underlines the technical demands visually.

While the special “Catania Green” paintwork may attract the viewer’s attention at first glance, the countless details of the “MANSORY F8XX”, lovingly and hand-crafted made to the highest standard, succeed in captivating the viewer almost simultaneously, so that the F8XX is able to present itself to the viewer as a harmonious overall work of art.

To achieve this, only the finest ingredients of automotive refinement are used in this complete conversion: lightweight body components made of forged carbon, striking forged and gold-colored sports rims, and various interior modifications made of the finest leather.

Following a tradition of more than 30 years, the luxury manufacturer MANSORY produces its Ferrari aerodynamic components unchanged and exclusively from the ultra-light material carbon. In the case of the “MANSORY F8XX” in the particularly attractive version called “Forged Carbon”.

In addition to the front apron, the side skirts, and the rear apron, one component of the body conversion deserves special attention: the rear wing of the “MANSORY F8XX”, which is divided into two L-shaped angles. A rarely perfect example of how extravagant looks and high technical standards can be combined in harmony.

In addition to the appearance of the “MANSORY F8XX”, the technology of the F8 Tributo has also been extensively revised and refined in detail. While the mid-engined V8 produces an impressive 720 hp and 770 Nm on the crankshaft from its 3.9-liter displacement as standard, the engineers in MANSORY’s in-house engine department were able to increase these figures to an impressive 880 hp and 960 Nm thanks to extensive modifications to the engine management and exhaust system. And this without changing the driveability and excellent response of the standard engine. The corresponding figures for driving performance increase to 354 km/h and the sprint from zero to 100 km/h is reduced to 2.6s.

The high engine power is transferred into maximum performance in combination with adapted suspension components and the “YT.5” rims used for the first time on the “MANSORY F8XX”. These one-piece, ultra-light forged rims in the dimensions 9.5 x 21 and 12 x 22 are used as a wheel-tire combination with high-performance tires in the sizes 255/30 ZR21 (VA) and 335/25 ZR22 (HA).

But the interior is not left untouched either, and so the interior specialists at MANSORY create a sporty atmosphere that once again perfectly combines high functionality, comfort, and design. The passenger compartment of the “MANSORY F8XX” is completely lined in beige leather with white applications and continues the luxury standard that applies to all MANSORY complete conversions at the highest level in the interior. But not only almost all components of the interior are upholstered in leather, but they are also accentuated with carbon in certain areas. A MANSORY sports steering wheel in leather, MANSORY floor mats, and several precisely embroidered MANSORY logos elegantly round off the all-encompassing refinement in the interior.

The new BRABUS 500

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class isn’t a bad looking four-door luxury sedan, especially when you opt for the S500 model that comes with a 435 hp engine, but that doesn’t keep world-renowned BRABUS from tinkering with it to get more power and add some aerodynamic parts to this flagship model from Germany, keeping in mind BRABUS was actually voted the best and most popular tuning brand by the readers of Germany’s leading motorsport magazine: Auto Motor und Sport … for the 15th time in a row!

And while they build stunning, high-power supercars like their BRABUS ROCKET 900, not every owner is interested in the fastest, harshest riding Mercedes possible, some just want to add a touch of personality to their factory-fresh car, and that is exactly what BRABUS now offers for the S500 with their plug-and-play BRABUS B50 – 500 PowerXtra module, just integrate it into the factory electronics and you’ll get an additional 65 hp and 70 Nm of torque, the result is a total power output of 500hp.

The BRABUS B50 – 500 PowerXtra module makes the large Mercedes S500 reach 100 km/h from standstill in only 4.7 seconds, the top speed is however still limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), and there is even an option for the diesel-powered S400d, aptly called the BRABUS PowerXtra D40 performance kit, bringing the power output for this six-cylinder compression-ignition engine to a healthy 365 hp with 750 Nm of torque at as low as 2,500 rpm … this diesel takes only 5.2 seconds to reach 100 km/h.

And this is just the beginning, I’m sure BRABUS is already working on 750, 800, or even 900 hp versions for the new Mercedes S-Class range, but power and speed are really nice, but BRABUS is also known for their amazingly well designed aerodynamic add-on parts and elegantly designed custom wheels, and part of those are already available as you read this.

A newly designed BRABUS front spoiler not only looks good, but it also reduces front-axle lift while the surrounds on the side air intakes make this car look even more aggressive, add the LED side markers and we’ve got a winner, while we haven’t even discussed the new rear bumper inset yet, complete with absolutely stunning looking, black chromed tailpipes in that typical BRABUS design. A carbon-fiber rear wing is under development at the moment but will be available soon.

Forged BRABUS “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels have been custom made for the new Mercedes S-Class, these monoblock wheels are available in either 19, 20, or massive 21-inch version, the car on these photos comes with the BRABUS Monoblock M “PLATINUM EDITION” wheels, 9×21 on the front axle and size 10.5J21 at the rear with 265/35 ZR 21 and 305/30 ZR 21 tires respectively, sourced from either Continental, Pirelli, or YOKOHAMA. To get the stance just right on this large S-Class, the BRABUS Airmatic Sport Unit will lower the factory car by 25mm (1 inch) to offer both a sportier look and even more agile handling without compromising the outstanding ride comfort we all come to love from the big Mercedes model.

And the fun continues on the inside, while the factory does an amazing job on the interior of these S-Class, BRABUS lifts it to another level altogether, like a two-tone BRABUS fine leather interior created from soft and breathable leather in the contrasting colors porcelain and black. The leather treatment continues onto the dashboard and the center console. Attention to detail is shown on the pinpoint precision perforated seats and showing a stitching pattern to mimic the cube design of the center sections on the door panels. They even go as far as offering a BRABUS Signature Carbon, which was developed exclusively for the new S-Class.

A Bronco 6×6 anyone?

Maxlider Brothers Customs, from Bloomington, IL, have made a name in the restoration game for the classic Ford Bronco from the Sixties, a highly sought-after off-roader these days, these cars are over 50 years old now, and many of them will require some serious restoration as they were rather prone to rust.

The Maxlider Brothers Customs will not only bring that classic Ford Bronco into the 21st century, but for the more discerning customer, they offer something rather impressive, a 4-door, stretched tub that seats 6 people, but retains the classic, Sixties look … for the 2019 SEMA show they built a Roush supercharged Coyote 5.0L 4-door early Bronco with a modern 6-speed transmission and tons of custom features.

The response was so overwhelming, Maxlider decided to add this 4-door option to their custom build lineup so customers can order this practical, classic-looking Ford Bronco, and while the SEMA show car came with the impressive Coyote engine and suicide doors, the customer version has traditionally hinged rear doors and a choice of engine options.

But with the new Ford Bronco becoming available, Maxlider Brothers Customs wants to take the 2021 model to the next level, you can already order either a two-door or a four-door version straight from Ford, but if you want to take your brand new Ford Bronco really over the top, and have about $399,000 to spend, you can get a 6×6 conversion done.

In the Ford Bronco option list from the factory, you’ll find an almost unlimited number of possibilities, but a third axle isn’t one of them, Maxlider will give you this option starting in 2022, but at the moment all we have to go on are renders by @innov8designlab that show a Ford Bronco with a longer rear section to accommodate the added wheels at the rear.

The render still shows a large spare wheel on the rear hatch, and a closed rear bed, the Maxlider Bronco 6×6 isn’t a pickup style conversion like for instance, the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6, which comes in at $349,000, a full $50,000 less than the Bronco 6×6, but the latter will be able to seat people in the back I guess, or it just might be more luggage space, that remains to be seen once we get to inspect a real one.

For now, there isn’t a single Bronco 6×6 built at Maxlider, and there isn’t any information on power upgrades for the engine either, but it unlikely there won’t be an increase in power to offset the additional weight and drag from the extra wheels, we also wonder if the two additional wheels at the rear will be powered or not, remember some 6-wheel conversions are actually a 6×4 technically, but as Maxlider calls this the Bronco 6×6 it would be expected all 6 wheels are powered.

30 years of Hennessey

The car that started three decades of making fast cars even faster was a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4, back in 1991 John Hennessey modified his own car to compete in the Pike’s Peak Hill Climb and Nevada Open Road Challenge races, he would later set a class record at the Bonneville Salt Flats and win the Unlimited Class at the Silver State Classic open road race in Nevada that same year.

He also founded Hennessey Performance together with his wife Hope in 1991, with a single principle in mind, too much horsepower is never enough, from building cars for international rock stars and world-famous athletes to claiming countless speed records, including the “World’s Fastest Car” title, the business ethos has always been to seek out the next challenge.

Shortly after founding the company, John Hennessey turned his attention to boosting the performance of the now-iconic Dodge Viper. By 1997 he achieved an important accolade with his 650hp Hennessey Viper Venom GTS being the first to break 200mph. Since 2006, the company’s recently extended 51,000 sq-ft HQ has been next to its own test track enabling the acceleration of its R&D, engineering, and tuning business with cars like the 234mph, twin-turbo 1000hp Ford GT, and 200mph HPE 600 Corvette C7 produced by the experienced team of Hennessey engineers.

By 2010, the business had built its own hypercar, the Hennessey Venom GT. Based on the chassis of a Lotus Exige, the 1244hp monster weighed just 2743lb and was powered by a turbocharged Hennessey V8 that enabled 0-200mph in just 14.51 seconds. The Venom GT set a production car Guinness World Record for the fastest 0-300kph time (13.63 seconds) in 2013, then followed that in 2014 with another world record, becoming the fastest production car in the world with a 270.49mph top speed.

Truck tuning emerged as a new customer-led trend in 2012 with the 600hp Hennessey Velociraptor beginning a generation of ‘hypertrucks’ from 1000hp supercar slayers to 6×6 conversions. Alongside these monsters of the road, the Hennessey team continued its muscle car work with models like its 1000hp ZL1 Camaro – named The Exorcist – raising the profile of the business further still.

Today, alongside producing upwards of 500 customer cars a year, the Hennessey team is focused on the all-new 100% bespoke Hennessey Venom F5 hypercar. This ‘decathlete of hypercars’ boasts 1817hp from its Hennessey-built 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and targets a top speed exceeding 311mph (500kph).

In its 30th year, Hennessey sees the launch of the F5 as a rebirth for the brand and the beginning of an exciting new future. Looking ahead, Hennessey plans a series of exciting models, built on the same 100% bespoke basis as the F5

M340i xDrive DCL dAHLer competition line

The BMW M340i comes from the factory as a ‘Mild Hybrid’, this means there is a starter-generator and a battery added to reduce fuel consumption and increase overall power output, the 48-volt adds up to 11 hp (8 kW) to the normal combustion engine to get you off the line quicker during acceleration, in this model the engine is the B58 unit with 374 hp (275 kW) and 500 Nm of torque.

But Dahler Competition Line AG from Bern, Switzerland, takes this mild hybrid to another level after their overhaul, which is available in two levels, the Power Boost level 1 brings power output to an impressive 435 hp (320 kW) and torque up to 610 Nm (450 ft-lb), and as this tuning is WLTP-E6d tested and approved for sale in the EU and Switzerland, you even keep the factory warranty on your brand new BMW M340i.

Going for the Power Boos level 2 ‘powered by dAHLer’ option will get you to 455 hp (334 kW) and 640 Nm (472 ft-lb) and will in the near future come with an increased setting for the top speed limiter, but you’ll could run into some issues with the factory warranty from BMW themselves, so that’s a risk you might need to take in this case.

To make sure the looks of the BMW M340i dAHLer fit the sound from the exhaust, you might want to get their stainless steel exhaust system, specially tuned to the series GPF. It comes with quad ceramic-coated 90mm tailpipes, a top-quality ceramic coating is not only highly practical,  with outstanding features such as hardness and resistance to wear, electrical insulation, low thermal conductivity, and a consistently reproducible surface structure, it also has a highly refined look.

Dahler Competition Line AG is also preparing an Eventuri intake system and they offer an additional, CAN bus-controlled exhaust valve controller so you can have a more subtle sound when you drive in the city, but unleash the sporty, signature dAHLer sound on the highway.

If your BMW M340i comes with the EDC Electronic Damping System from the factory, you can install an upcoming Competition coilover suspension “Built by dAHLer” with DDC plug and play, but for now, they already offer a Competition coilover suspension that can be manually adjustable in height and hardness, however, if you’re only going for looks, a set of sport springs is also a possibility.

But you will have to get a set of ultra-light 20-inch “dAHLer CDC1 FORGED” wheels, 9×20 inches at the front with 235/35ZR20 tires and 10×20 inches at the rear with 275/30ZR20 tires (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S) to finish of the mild aero tuning from dAHLer in the form of a front splitter, a rear spoiler, special M Style mirror caps, a carbon-fiber roof antenna cover, and a front grille design in three different looks.

BRABUS 92R

If you really want to make a statement, this new, limited edition, BRABUS 92R might just be the right car to add to your collection, they claim it is the new Urban Supercar anyway, also known as The electrically powered “pocket rocket!”.

The BRABUS 92R is an exclusive edition of only 50 units of a convertible city sports car, 92 hp and 180 Nm of torque while being fully electric, with a top speed of 130 km/h and a range of up to 125 kilometers (78 miles), depending on the driving style, while an almost silent acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 10.9 seconds in “Sport +” mode, but I guess that will considerably limit the range you’ll be able to reach on a single charge, but that is not what this Urban Supercar is intended for.

There is a “driving fun switch” for the driver to select one of four modes. The production level from the base vehicle, the Smart EQ ForTwo Cabrio is the Basic level 1, when switching to “Eco’ you get more energy recovery when braking, ‘Sport’ is the third mode, with improved accelerator pedal response, and reduced energy recovery rate to the production level, the fourth mode is ‘Sport+”.

We wouldn’t be talking about a real BRABUS if this little 92R didn’t come with bespoke aero parts, like the new front bumper with large air intakes, a red detail is added to the center front, and to the side sills, while an athletic-looking rear diffuser sets the BRABUS 92R apart from the Smart she’s based on, carbon fiber design door mirror covers add the final touch.

Naturally, this BRABUS 92R comes with bespoke Monoblock wheels, in this case, the IX alloys showing eight double spokes mounted in  6Jx16 at the front with size 185/50 R 16, and 7Jx17 rims at the rear with size 205/40 R Yokohama tires, a one-inch lowering suspension is also fitted.

On the inside, the finest red BRABUS leather is used in a stunning ‘Ultimate Ellipse’ design quilted stitching pattern, black topstitching is used while the BRABUS logos in both backrests are an amazing touch,  to complete the custom look of the BRABUS 92R, the convertible’s electric soft-top comes in a similar bright red.

The BRABUS 92R starts at €46,284, being a fully electric vehicle you might want to check your local subsidy plan, usually, you can get part of your investment back from the government when you register an electric car … in a world full of Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, and Rolls Royce, this little ‘pocket rocket’ might draw more attention for being so … different.

Dähler BMW X5 M50i

The BMW X5 is a large SUV in European standards, it might not be considered large in the United States market, but you have to admit the M50i version that comes with a 4.4-Liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 530hp and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque isn’t underpowered, but there is also an X5 M available with even more power … 600hp and a 0 to 60mph time of only 3.8 seconds, for a large SUV that weighs 5,425 lbs, that’s a train coming down the street at that speed.

But what if you want something a little different than a factory original X5 M, and preferably with more power? In comes Dähler Competition Line AG, located in Switzerland, they offer a ‘Power boost level 1’ option for the cheaper X50i model (MSRP $82,800  against $105,100 for the X5 M) that boosts the power from 530hp to 630hp and adds 90Nm on top too, 840Nm in total now, which betters the X5 M from BMW.

And the best part is that, even with the increased, limited top speed of 270 km/h, the X5 M50i DCL Dähler Competition Line has been WLTP-E6d-temp tested and approved for sale in the EU and Switzerland, with a corresponding supplementary warranty in addition to factory warranty … but wait, there is more … Dähler is already working on a ‘Power boost level 2’ package that promises even more power … 700hp here we come.

The X5 M50i “babbles” and “blubbers” with the unmistakable, unadulterated V8 sound that so many fans love, and Dähler created a 4-pipe stainless steel exhaust system for their car, with four ceramic-coated tailpipes that show some impressive size … 101mm in diameter, not only does it look amazing, it also works in perfect harmony with the factory-installed gasoline particulate filters (GPF).

Unfortunately, the CAN bus-controlled valves in the exhaust, allowing the driver to control the sound level at any rpm or speed, isn’t EU/CH approved, so you can’t use it on the open road … but it will wake up the neighbors if you start your Dähler BMW X50i in the morning with the valves open.

The BMW X5 M50i comes with an EDC electronic damping system, so the lowering springs from Dähler had to be custom made for this car, they not only lower the car to the tarmac, but they also increase driving stability, decrease rolling movements … and they just make the car look better, at the moment Dähler is even working on a complete coilover suspension that will come with adjustable height and hardness.

Standard fitment on the BMW X5 M50i are 20-inch wheels, the X5 M comes with 21-inch from the factory … naturally, Dähler had to top those, so they came up with massive 23-inch forged wheels, called CDC1 FORGED these 11-inch wide wheels receive massive 305/30 R23 tires, and they are still up to 35% lighter than conventional light-alloy wheels.

MANHART MH3 and MH4 600

The new BMW M3 (G80) and M4 (G82) are only now available for customers around the world, but MANHART Performance already presents their vision on how these high-performance M-cars will look in their traditional black and gold finish, and they will also come with more power compared to a factory standard M3 or M4.

If you start with the regular BMW M3/M4 that comes with 480 hp from the factory, MANHART will install their MHTronik Powerbox to raise power output to 590 hp, but MANHART really wants you to bring in your M Competition version of these cars, base power is already a healthy 510 hp (610 Nm), but the Powerbox ups this to an impressive 620 hp and 750 Nm of torque.

The thundering soundtrack comes through custom-made cat-back and OPF-back exhaust systems, with twin carbon tailpipes, as an option you can get middle silencer replacement pipes for your MH3/MH4, while MANHART is working on special aero parts for these new M-cars from BMW, these will include a new engine cover, front splitter, side sills and naturally an aggressive rear diffuser.

MANHART will install H&R springs to lower their MH3/MH4 600 to allow those beautiful Concave One forged wheels to come out even better, 9×21 inch at the front and 10.5×21 inch at the rear, shod with 265/30R21 and 305/25R21 tires respectively, available in several finishes, but gold and black do look really nice on these cars.

Phase 1 of the tuning program already includes a wide variety of parts and options, which will allow clients to upgrade their beloved new car, but MANHART Performance will go a step further with a Phase 2 version, taking both the M3 and M4 to the next level.

Taycan by TECHART

If a factory standard Porsche Taycan with options just isn’t special or impressive enough for you as a customer, fear not, get in touch with TECHART and you will end up with a completely bespoke, one-of-a-kind bespoke TECHART Taycan, and I have to admit … she looks great, both on the outside and on the inside.

To create the new aerodynamic kit for the Porsche Taycan, TECHART combined the old with the new, the styling package was designed in virtual reality, but they still made an artisan clay model, finalizing details in state-of-the-art 3D modeling before taking the design into the wind tunnel and real-life track proving ground.

TECHART calls it their ‘Premium Individualization’ program, and while they offer their new front bumper, side sills, and rear diffuser, which alter the styling of this all-electric Porsche only mildly, their press release states the customer can specify bespoke options for the new TECHART Formula VI forged aluminum wheels.

The TECHART Formula VI wheels come in 10.0 x 22-inch (front) and 11.5 x 22-inch (rear) and boast slender spokes with low weight, they are available in a two-tone grey with polished spokes, black with polished spokes, but also any custom color the customer specifies, and in case you are wondering, there is also a TECHART Formula VI Race version … with a central locking system, but that’s not available for the Porsche Taycan.

While the aero package from TECHART has a very subtle look on the Porsche Taycan, their interior modifications lift this car into a totally different segment, the factory standard cockpit looks beautiful as is, but a TECHART interior takes it into a class of its own with special leather and Alcantara, custom stitching, special piping, and the most impressive embroidery and embossing seen on a Taycan.

This truly is a Tailor-made interior, TECHART manufactory and saddlery offers the owners of the all-electric sportscar a wide-ranging and handcrafted individualization program, with high-grade leather interior or a combination of sporty Alcantara and leather, the demo car they created comes with a stunning combination of perforated leather and Alcantara combined with contrasting piping.

But there is a fascinating ‘shimmer’ effect visible on these seats, TECHART will fit a contrast color underneath the perforated honeycomb pattern that will show through in a very impressive manner, the iconic TECHART logotype is not only embroidered on the seats in matching colors but even more impressively it’s also embossed on the door trim, in the headrest, and on the floor mats … which looks magnificent.

This demo car comes with a honeycomb perforation on an all-black upholstery, but TECHART offers an endless variety of customized perforation structures of the leather which can be specified in a plethora of different colors too, while the signature feature for the TECHART interior in the Porsche Taycan is a bespoke steering wheel.

The TECHART sports steering wheel comes with a top-center ring, the driving mode switch at the lower-right, and the fitting screws in a contrasting color, and you can still custom order any combination of painted spokes, leather on the rim combined with Alcantara. But again the option of carbon fiber is also possible, as is matching pipings and stitching on the steering wheel. To make it really stand out you can even get the perforation pattern from the seats applied to the steering wheel too, all while retaining the factory standard features such as multifunction, paddle shifts, and steering wheel heating.

A Very Cool Restomod: 1972 Datsun 240Z With A Surprise Under The Hood

Let’s face facts: If you can successfully pull off a restomod, it automatically becomes a cool car. If the car was already popular as a tunable or moddable car, and you turn that up to 11, it becomes even cooler.

Restomod 1972 Datsun 240Z

With that in mind, we found a supremely cool car on BringATrailer’s “Just Sold!” list, a 1972 Datsun 240Z that has been prepped up as a lightweight street brawler. Oh, and a Nissan Skyline GT-R32 RB26DETT 2.6 liter inline-six twin-turbo engine under the hood with the R32’s 5-speed transmission coming with it.

Restomod 1972 Datsun 240Z

We don’t really know how big the shoehorn was that they used to get both the engine and transmission in, but it must have been massive. The engine barely fits with the twin turbos hanging down the sides and the piping for the intake and to the intercooler.

Restomod 1972 Datsun 240Z

The body was sanded down and finished in two-tone Toyota Quicksand and Semi-Matte Black, with black painted fender flares added. Those flares cover 15″ x 9″ Rota RKR wheels with 235/50 Toyo R888R road-legal semi-slicks. Those wheels are sprung by Techno Toy Tuning coil overs and backed by aftermarket sway bars.

Restomod 1972 Datsun 240Z

In the rear, an ATL fuel cell has replaced the OEM gas tank in case the car is taken to any racing events. A custom rear strut brace has also been added to improve cornering.

Restomod 1972 Datsun 240Z

The RB26DETT has been tuned and modified as well, with a McKinney Motorsports exhaust header that feeds down into a ceramic-coated titanium cat-back exhaust. Excess pressure escapes through an HKS blow-off valve. The fuel delivery and motor mounts are a combination of HKS, McKinney Motorsports, and Aeromotive.

Restomod 1972 Datsun 240Z

An R200 limited-slip differential from OS Giken takes the power from the tuned engine and delivers it to the rear wheels through a McKinney Motorsports reinforced driveshaft. An OS Giken twin-plate clutch makes sure there is no power wasted, while a lightened OS Giken flywheel reduces rotational resistance, letting the engine rev higher.

Restomod 1972 Datsun 240Z

This is reflected in the stripped-out interior, which has had a roll cage, fixed Recaro seats, and an 11k tachometer installed. Sabelt four-point harnesses grace both the driver and passenger seat, and a readily accessible fusebox just ahead of the Nismo shift lever makes sure you can switch out anything that blows without having to dig deep into the engine bay.

Restomod 1972 Datsun 240Z

While it may seem like an old 1972 car with a little modding on the outside, this little Datsun could probably blow the doors off of anything less than a Lamborghini Aventador. And for that, it deserves respect for both the money and elbow grease that has brought this firebreather to life. SWAE McLaren 720S

If you’ve never heard of SWAE, don’t feel too bad, they are a new company located in the Rocky Mountains not far from Glacier National Park that just released images of their first tuning package, and it’s for the McLaren 720S, which isn’t too bad straight from the factory, but SWAE takes it to the next level, both in looks and in performance.

First, you notice there is something different about this SWAE McLaren 720, and it’s a widebody kit you are admiring, with a new front lip and intakes on the front fenders, the rear fenders are widened too, and a massive rear wing is added too. While most parts seem to be made from carbon fiber, SWAE took the 3D printing route for the struts on the rear wing, made from titanium.

Bespoke, 10-spoke SWAE wheels complete the look of this $500,000 McLaren 720S, and the best is yet to come … engine tuning that delivers over 900 hp to the rear wheels from the twin-turbocharged 4-Liter V8, keep in mind this could mean the SWAE tuned V8 comes with over 1,000 hp at the crank.

SWAE says this McLaren 720S is just a ‘proof-of-concept’ at the moment, showcasing what they can do when combining carbon fiber and 3D-printing technology to create a bespoke car for the discerning customer, chasing dreams at all costs.

“SWAE operates in a space beyond luxury-  enhancing each caliber of craftsmanship to create a sum greater than its parts,” said Rosie Wolkind, SWAE director of operations.

This new SWAE McLaren 720S Widebody was recently unveiled in Miami, but it isn’t clear if this specific car is for sale, or was built on commission for an existing customer, or if it’s just a demonstrator for SWAE … only time will tell.

The SPOFEC OVERDOSE

In the world of SUVs, there was a time the Range Rover Vogue or the Mercedes G-Wagon was the ultimate ‘look at me’ car, these had amazing off-road capabilities, but most of them rarely left paved roads or got a spot of mud on them, and while the G-Wagon was initially a military vehicle, the later models were high-end luxury cars that could go off-road.

In the United States of America, you had a full-size SUV like the Cadillac Escalade and the Lincoln Navigator to take these big vehicles into the luxury segment … but over the years things started to change a bit and other big names in the industry came up with their own SUV, like the Bentley Bentayga that some might not like design-wise, but it is an ultra-high-end luxury SUV with some sportiness to it, perhaps a segment lower, but also very impressive was the Porsche Cayenne and the ‘Bull in the Chinashop’ … the Lamborghini Urus.

But then came another player on the SUV scene … Rolls Royce, with their massive Cullinan, taking its place as the most exclusive factory-made, production luxury SUV, and to make it interesting for those with lots of money but still craving for a little touch of sportiness, Rolls Royce came up with their ‘Black Badge’ series. Ditching the chrome-plated Spirit of Ecstasy for a glossy black finished lady, note you could get that beautiful bonnet ornament sculpture in just about any finish, they even offered it in actual crystal with illumination for a while, but they were forced to discontinue this $4,000 option because there’s a law against illuminated hood ornaments in Europe now.

As the name suggests, a Rolls Royce Black Badge Cullinan is a breed apart from the regular Rolls Royce models, the world-famous front grill is also finished in black, as are most of the otherwise chrome trim around the windows … and no, you can actually order a Black Badge in another shade too … even white. And a Black Badge Cullinan is so ‘un-British’ it almost hurts … but it doesn’t, and I like the idea behind it, the black finish makes the car appeal to a younger crowd, and the Black Badge even comes with a harsher suspension … on a Rolls Royce mind you!

The difference between a Rolls Royce Cullinan and the Black Badge version is about $150,000, and that’s without a trip to SPOFEC in Germany to get their OVERDOSE tuning package, SPOFEC is part of the NOVITEC group by the way, just so you know you are dealing with people that have been in this business for many years.

And before we talk about the exterior of this SPOFEC OVERDOSE, let’s take a peek under that large hood. From the factory, the Rolls Royce Black Badge Cullinan comes with a 6.7-Liter twin-turbo V12 engine you hardly hear when it’s running and has a power output of 600 hp and 900 Nm of torque (the regular Cullinan has 563 hp and 850 Nm of torque for comparison). But SPOFEC offers the N-TRONIC plug-and-play auxiliary ECU, by remapping the injection and ignition and a small increase in turbo boost, the figures are now 707 hp (520 kW) and a peak torque of 1,060 Nm at 1,800 rpm.

Despite the massive size, and weight of 2.7 metric tons, the SPOFEC OVERDOSE can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 4.5 seconds, the top speed is however still restricted to 250 km/h, and while we are still talking about an SUV, the SPOFEC suspension module allows a 40 mm lower ride height for added looks and a lower center of gravity.

But SPOFEC also turns the Rolls Royce Black Badge Cullinan into a ‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ sorts of car … where the Rolls Royce is almost as silent as a whisper, with the SPOFEC exhaust, including actively controlled flaps, you can make this Rolls Royce sound like a sports car, there is nothing discreet about the SPOFEC OVERDOSE.

You can just imagine the marketing meeting at SPOFEC when they were discussing the OVERDOSE: “So discretion is out of the windows, let’s change the exterior too, and make it even wider” … they’ve added 10cm (4 inches) width to the front and 12cm (nearly 5 inches) to the rear fenders! This makes the OVERDOSE in total 212cm wide (83.46 inches), which also required a new set of side sills to connect those wide fenders with each other, and while they were at it, they replaced the entire front bumper with a new design, added a spoiler lip at the liftgate, and finished it off with a race-inspired rear diffuser. Precise-fit detachable parts create harmonious transitions from the fascia to the rear flares.

And with all this going on, you just can’t resist replacing the factory original wheels with these new SPOFEC SP2 forged wheels in 10×24 inch configuration, specially created in corporation with Vossen to handle the wider wheel arches, monstrous 295/30 R 24 high-performance tires cover these impressive wheels consisting of nine pairs of twin-spokes and with the wheel bolts disappearing behind a center cover.

The official SPOFEC press release on the OVERDOSE doesn’t list any prices for all these beautiful tuning options … but you know what they say: ‘if you have to ask’ …

The Arden Jaguar AJ23 SVR

Perhaps you haven’t heard about Arden Automobilbau GmbH before, or you might have, but it’s been a while … let me get you back up to speed, Arden Automobilbau GmbH is located in Krefeld, Germany, and they specialize in world-class tuning, premium refinement and tailored conversions for a wide range of Jaguar, Range Rover, Bentley, and Mini Cooper models, and they’ve been doing this for some time now, the company was founded in 1972 … they will be celebrating their 50th anniversary next year.

Another question, do you remember the Jaguar XJS, that stylish coupe or convertible made between 1975 and 1996, with a 21-year production span I guess you must have heard about it … did you know there was an ‘estate’ version too? Not made by Jaguar, however, but Arden did a complete conversion with their AJ3 Station Car, complete with period-correct Recaro seats upholstered in bright red leather … and they specifically didn’t call it a ‘Shooting Brake’ like some other builders.

And in case you are wondering, there is also an Arden AJ4, based on the classic Jaguar XJ naturally, these are the classic models from Jaguar, but I bring them up to get you into the ‘Arden World’ of Jaguar tuning to prepare you for their very impressive AJ23 SVR model …

Arden Automobilbau GmbH has come a long way since those classic Jaguar kits, and now they have some rather aggressive styling for the current Jaguar F-Type model, which in the Arden world is called the AJ23 SVR and it’s finished in a very intimidating black paint with many of the Arden aero parts complementing that menacing shade with clear carbon fiber.

Note that the Arden AJ23 SVR is still based on the pre-2021 edition of the Jaguar F-type, the pre-facelift model that was replaced in December 2019, and while you can order a 2021 Jaguar F-Type R right now, there isn’t a new SVR available yet as far as we know, which is why we still talk about the Arden AJ23 SVR, getting a second-hand 2019 F-Type SVR might still be a great idea, adding this Arden aero kit to it might be an even better idea.

The Jaguar F-Type SVR comes with a 5-0-Liter Supercharged V8 engine with 575 hp from the factory, add the Arden Stage 2 upgrade kit to this and you’ll end up with 630 hp and an 80 Nm increase to the torque value, consisting of a software remapping combined with a set of sport air filters and a modified supercharger pulley and pulley crank for increased boost. Remapping includes the optimization of various engine maps, an increase of boost, the adaptation of the gearbox software, and optimized power delivery throughout the entire power band, and it comes with an Arden warranty.

Not happy with 630 hp? No problem at all, go for the Arden Stage 4 upgrade kit, adding 105 hp and 155 Nm, this time you’ll get a reprogrammed ECU, sport air filters, upper pulley, pulley crank, full Arden exhaust system incl. high flow catless downpipes, high-performance water-cooled intercooler, and a carbon air intake system … the result: 680 hp!

The black car pictured here rolls on the massive 21-inch Arden Sportline GT wheels, 9.5 inch wide with 255/30 R21 tires for the front, and 11 inch wide with 295/25 R21 Continental tires for the rear … listed at only €9,400 (US$ 11,300 at today’s exchange rate), Arden also offers a few other designs, and spacers for those that don’t like this multi-spoke GT-look.

Furthermore, Arden offers a set of add-on splitters for the original Jaguar SVR front bumper for a more distinctive, wider front look while still retaining the factory original parking sensors, also available in clear carbon fiber? They can be enhanced by installing the Arden side sills, complete with their optional, vertical fin ahead of the rear wheels, and to complete the look you just need to add the additional fins for the rear bumper … the rear wing you see on this car is actually factory original from Jaguar on the F-Type SVR edition.

For the interior, Arden comes up with a different steering wheel, additional carbon fiber parts to cover some of the factory original parts on the dashboard and central console, and a very nice, aluminum pedal set including a footrest to match. In case you got hold of the Jaguar F-Type SVR Convertible, Arden offers their SmartTOP module which allows you to operate the convertible top with a push of a button on the existing radio remote.

But the ultimate request can be directed to the Arden saddlery shop, they have been creating bespoke Jaguar interiors to the highest demands in precision craftsmanship, which can really turn that second-hand Jaguar F-Type SVR into your one-off ‘Leaper’, and with prices for a 2017 model around the $75,000 mark, with a 2020 model demanding a $20,000 premium, it might make sense to create a bespoke Arden AJ23 SVR version, remember in 2020 the MSRP was a massive $1236,00 for an SVR Coupe.

The BRABUS Invicto

When you are a high-net-worth individual, life is different compared to other people, you’ll probably live inside a large mansion with security guards and camera surveillance, and when you leave this compound, you’ll be driven around inside an armored vehicle, most likely even with one or more additional cars around you.

The BRABUS INVICTO LUXURY

You can opt for one of the Mercedes-Benz Guard versions, the world’s widest ex-factory range of special protection vehicles … or you can turn to Brabus for one of their Invicto models, a series made up of three different versions to cater to the customer’s wishes, discreet, rugged, or luxuries …

All three versions come with the ‘Invicto Shelter Cell’, a self-contained, self-supporting and bolted-down protective cell. In addition, there are further protective elements that are in part produced using a special 3D printing process and, of course, all-around extremely tough bulletproof glass.

Based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the Invicto can resist 7.62×39 caliber bullets, used in the AK-47 for instance, but also being hit with hand grenades, and even 12.5-kilogram PETN explosive charges, this certifies the Invicto per the VPAM BRV 2009 and VPAM ERV 2010 standards, all while remaining discreet, and nearly invisible from the outside.

The BRABUS INVICTO bulletproof glass

Sometimes this kind of car requires making a fast getaway when faced with intrusion, therefore the BRABUS Invicto comes with a special suspension and high-performance braking system to cope with the additional weight of the armoring, but the 20-inch Invicto wheels come with special run-flat tires.

Because of the required performance, BRABUS advises using either a Mercedes G500 or the G63 as a base for their €345,600 Invicto protection package, but it can be ordered with other gasoline engines from the G-Class model range.

The armor meets the VR6 Plus ERV standard, the same standard that protects many limousines of heads of state, to meet the requirements the doors and hatch are now fitted with new protective elements, all the glass is replaced with extra tough bulletproof material, which required an innovative structure for the frames to be developed by BRABUS.

The BRABUS INVICTO Shelter Cell

The Invicto Shelter Cell is unlike other vehicles where the armor is retrofitted, this BRABUS system is a self-contained, self-supporting, and bolted-down unit. This design makes it possible to put it into the body shell of the G-Class part by part and then assemble and fasten it. To this end, the company manufactures precise-fit, hot-rolled steel armor plates and additional protective elements made from materials such as carefully selected fabric and fiber structures as well as from ceramic and metal composite materials.

Among the many special constructive features of the “INVICTO Shelter Cell” is the fact that there is no narrowing of the door openings whatsoever. Getting in and out of the vehicle comfortably is crucial for many owners of a G-Class. In addition, the protective cell has a zero-gap design. This means that the individual components of the armor are installed without any gaps between them, which is of elementary importance for providing maximum security under small arms fire or an explosive attack. This is achieved by means of material overlaps and the so-called labyrinths.

The BRABUS INVICTO PURE

Surprisingly enough, the entire BRABUS Invicto protective armor only adds about 1,000 kg on top of the base Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, but it still required both the front and rear suspension to be completely modified by the BRABUS engineers, even the frame of the G-Wagon needed to be reinforced at key points to support the additional weight, but still be agile enough for maximum security and durability.

A high-performance braking system with vented 402-millimeter discs and six-piston brake calipers at the front as well as 380-millimeter rotors and four-piston brake calipers on the rear axle is another major factor in the outstanding active safety of the INVICTO.

BRABUS fits Invicto 9.5×20 inch wheels specifically developed for the higher wheel load rating, large 275/50 R 20 W113 high load rating tires are fitted, BRABUS even developed a new run-flat system for their Invicto, even with completely destroyed tires, this car can continue for another 50km at a speed of 50 km/h.

The BRABUS INVICTO PURE

The BRABUS INVICTO PURE

This model has been created by BRABUS for those customers that need protection, but don’t want to stand out in traffic, the Invicto Pure looks exactly like a factory original Mercedes-Benz G-class … this is protection in her purest form, both the exterior and the interior of the Invicto Pure are visually unchanged.

The BRABUS INVICTO PURE

The only visible changes are the new Invicto wheels in 20-inch, required to fit the BRABUS run-flat system, but other than that, this version is “undercover” as much as possible.

The BRABUS INVICTO MISSION

The BRABUS INVICTO MISSION

The Invicto Mission edition is not intended to have the high-net-worth individual in the rear seats, this version is made for the security guard companies that accompany that person, possibly even armed forces, or police and emergency services. Based on the Mercedes G500 or G63, the Invicto Mission includes not only the 20-inch off-road tires with the run-flat capability and a winch at the front this edition also comes with a powerful LED headlamp assembly at the front of the roof rack, flashing beacons behind the windshield, remote-controlled rotating searchlights at the rear, and even an armored escape hatch on the roof.

The BRABUS INVICTO MISSION

The original seats have been replaced by four custom bucket seats, designed in such a manner they allow the security detachment to wear protective vests inside the vehicle, five-point seatbelts keep them in place, even during high-speed, spirited driving.

The BRABUS INVICTO MISSION

But the Invicto Mission doesn’t stop there, it comes complete with a fresh air system with NBC filter for the interior, or how about an infrared package complete with night-vision together with an elaborate monitoring and navigation system, even the doors and backrests are fitted with the MOLLE system (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) to secure equipment.

The BRABUS INVICTO MISSION fresh air system

The BRABUS INVICTO LUXURY

The BRABUS INVICTO LUXURY

This is the most exclusive version in the Invicto series, based on either Mercedes G 500 or the Mercedes-AMG G 63 with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine and 430kW / 585hp, this model offers 850 Nm of torque to offer impressive active safety, the 20-inch run-flat tires do require a limitation of the top speed to 210 Km/h.

The BRABUS INVICTO LUXURY

The Invicto Luxury also stands out, this is not the model for the owner that wants to travel unseen, incognito … BRABUS fits the WIDESTAR body on this model, optionally even with clear carbon fiber components, remember the Invicto Shelter Cell sits on the inside, which gets refined with a BRABUS interior made from the finest leather and Alcantara to suit the owner’s personal color and design preferences.

If the owner wants to have some more power to get out of any dangerous spots, he or she can opt for the BRABUS 800 engine, with an output of 588 kW / 800 hp at 6,600 rpm and a peak torque of 1,000 Nm at a low 3,600 rpm.

The BRABUS INVICTO LUXURY

It is clear BRABUS isn’t focusing on their usual customer that wants to turn a standard, factory Mercedes-AMG into a high-performance supercar with their Invicto model, this car is intended to offer the best protection possible for those that require it … but still want to travel in style.

The INVICTO special protection vehicles as per VR6 Plus ERV standard are built in small-series production at the plant of BRABUS Automotive in Bottrop, and while these three versions should already cater to the most discerning customer, BRABUS is always open for individual requests, as long as it doesn’t jeopardize the initial goal: protection and driving safety.

5 Ways to Customize Your Supercar Without Tanking Your Warranty (Or Resale)

When you think of the term “custom”, many different things come to mind -it comes down to the interpretation of each supercar owner. “Customization” can mean anything from flashy decals to custom paint jobs and everything in between.

Costs associated with customizing your supercar can vary from a few bucks to upwards of $50,000. But everyone must start with a vision or at least some inspiration.

Today we cover some awesome ways you can customize your supercar or at least give you the inspiration you’re looking for to make your supercar a reflection of you. None of the customization options mentioned here will void an engine warranty, by the way – always a plus when it comes time to resell.

Totally Uncommon Question: Should You Customize a Supercar?

Well, it’s really up to you… but have you ever been to a car event and taken notice of how many stock cars are there? Of course, you have. But at the same time, some supercars should not be touched or permanently customized whatsoever.

It’s sort of an unwritten rule that you do not make customizations to rare collector cars. That being said, the Gas Monkey Garage Ferrari F40 that was painted black is an exception to the rule (and so are many other tastefully modified classic supercars).

When customizing your car there are two trains of thought: performance or aesthetics. We’re gonna cover some customizations that are affordable, get you style points, and in some cases add performance.

What Does Customizing Your Car Do to its Value?

Customizations can come at a price depending on if they are a permanent modification or something reversible. Everyone has different tastes and this is why being conscientious of what you install/remove from your car is important.

Customizations that are non-reversible can hurt the value of your supercar, but if you plan on keeping it forever, then who cares?

If you plan on making any modifications, it is always good practice to keep any stock parts that you remove from the car. This will help when it’s time to sell and the car can be put back to its stock form. Many supercar owners prefer their vehicles stock (err, “unmolested”), so being able to remove your add-ons is always a plus.

You have a ton of opportunity to take your stock supercar and turn it into something personalized to you without breaking the bank.

Five Supercar Customizations We Like

Vinyl Wrap

Vinyl wrap is one of the best and most popular options in the customization world when it comes to changing up the livery of your supercar. Vinyl can wrap can be installed professionally or DIY (but we always recommend a professional install if you are inexperienced).

In the vinyl wrapping world, the customization options are endless. Wrapping can include adding racing stripes, custom decals, color-changing wrap, or even a completely custom printed vinyl specifically for your car.

Custom Plates

Let’s face it, registration plates are a necessary part of owning a car. Some places make you run one on the rear of your car while others enforce running a license plate on the front of your vehicle. Since this is a necessary evil of owning a car why not get yourself personalized plates?

Depending on where you live, you can either request a personalized plate by application through the DMV or using a service specializing in finding the right custom plate for you, such as CarReg based out of the UK.  Prices for your own custom plate can range from a couple hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on availability.

Adding custom registration plates to your car is another easy way to add personalization. Here are examples of custom plates that match each car perfectly.

Front Lip

Adding a front lip to your car can completely change the look of your ride, making it look lower, more aggressive, and enhancing the overall appearance.

Lips come in the form of an additional add-on to your stock bumper and can be made of a variety of materials such as carbon fiber or fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP).

Front lips can also provide performance benefits as they can provide downforce to the front of your car. Like anything though, not all front lips are created equal and they vary in price depending on the brand, quality, and material used to make the lip.

You can expect to spend anywhere from $100 on a cheap universal lip on eBay or up to a few thousand dollars from a name brand like RSC.

Rear Diffuser

Much like a front lip, rear diffusers will give your “boring” supercar the aggressive look you’ve been searching for.

A rear diffuser is an aftermarket add-on that sits on the lower section of your rear bumper. It gives an added performance benefit as it provides better downforce and therefore more traction.

Rear diffusers are found on Formula 1 cars and it was designed to create lower air pressure underneath the car to improve stability and traction. The same concept applies to road cars but not all road cars come standard with this type of aero accessory.

Rear diffusers can be made from a variety of materials such as carbon fiber, plastic, and fiberglass. Again, much like front lips, the price can range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars. The quality, material type, and brand can dictate the price of this awesome upgrade.

While you may not be racing your car, the diffuser comes with the added benefit of making your supercar look even better.  Check out these cool examples below:

Carbon Fiber Accents

Have you been looking for a way to make your car stand out from the regular stock cars? Carbon fiber accents will save the day.

Carbon fiber is very strong, lightweight, and looks amazing in almost any application. You can get carbon fiber add ons for almost anything on your supercar. You can also get carbon fiber covers, which simply stick on top of whatever you want, or you can remove stock parts and replace them with carbon fiber parts altogether.

Carbon accents can consist of adding carbon fiber covers to existing parts like mirrors or interior pieces to improve the look of your car. They can also outright replace the items mentioned above by buying full carbon fiber replacement parts. Carbon fiber replacements can be anything from wheels, to full aero kits.

Adding carbon fiber replacement parts can help you save weight and can help increase performance. These can be found through an OEM dealership or an aftermarket supplier like Morph Auto Design.

Wrapping Up

Sorry, I can never resist a pun. Whether you have chosen to go with one of these options to customize your supercar or the entire list, you will completely change the look of your car and make it something that you can be proud of.

The ABT SQ7, 500hp and 7 seats

As a family man you’ll need a big car for the school run and those groceries over the weekend … a Lamborghini Urus might not fit into the budget and an Audi RSQ8 isn’t what you’re looking for … in that case another option from the Audi stable might be just what you need, the $85,000 Audi SQ7.

Considered a mid-size SUV in the United States, over in Europe this is a large car, nonetheless with 500 hp from a V8 engine, this 2.3-tonne beast still takes only 4.1 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standstill … something a base model Porsche 911 barely manages too.

But a nicely optioned factory spec Audi SQ7 might just be too easy for some customers, in that case ABT can help you out, they are still developing a custom ECU tune to pull more power from the V8 engine, but for now you can already make your Audi SQ7 look more aggressive with a stylish wide-body kit from this German tuner.

Abt is the world’s largest automotive aftermarket and performance parts specialist for Audi and VW, and they offer a new, aggressively designed front bumper add-on, wider wheel arch extensions, side sills, a rear diffuser fin and a set of massive tailpipe covers to fit over the standard ones.

If you’re not into wide body kits, you can also order the ‘narrow’ version that doesn’t include the fender flares. Additional options are possible in the form of a rear wing or fender inserts in either ABS or carbon fiber.

The Audi SQ7 can already come with large 21-inch wheels from the factory, but we wouldn’t be talking about ABT if they didn’t offer bigger, 22-inch replacement units for their customer, a choice between the ABT Sport GR, the ABT HR Aero, or the impressive flow-forming ABT High PerformanceHR-F.

Additional touches of carbon fiber can be added to the interior while some illuminated ABT logo can be fitted for that ‘personal’ touch to your very own ABT SQ7 SUV, I’m sure this will make dropping of the kids at school a lot more interesting …

The POSAIDON S 63 RS 830+

For more than ten years, the downward-pointing trident has stood for unparalleled performance within the Mercedes-Benz and AMG community. This is because the specialists at POSAIDON – whose trademark is this polearm widely used in mythology – pick up where others left off a long time ago when it comes to performance enhancement.

But this raw power is rarely put on full public display by the POSAIDON engineers, who generally prefer to conceal it in a somewhat inconspicuous exterior that belies the lofty heights of performance it can actually achieve. A prime example of this is the POSAIDON S 63 RS 830+ shown here, which is based on the AMG variant of the large S-Class Coupe (C217).

POSAIDON pushed its 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine (M177DE40AL) from the factory-set 612 hp and 900 Nm to a ferocious 880 hp and 1,200 Nm. This transformation, which POSAIDON is valuing at €29,990 (US $36,322), was achieved using high performance turbochargers with ball bearings, a sport air filter, and down pipes with sport catalytic converters. Naturally, the software of the engine control unit, transmission control unit and drive train control unit (CPC) was also tweaked. So now, the two-ton POSAIDON S 63 RS 830+ goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed of this high-caliber bullet has been limited to 350 km/h to account for the tires.

But there’s more: Under the same name, POSAIDON is also offering the S 63 RS 830+ with 940 hp and 1,280 Nm, which – for the price of €52,000 (US $62,981)- goes beyond the other upgrades to include cylinder head porting, valve seat alterations and a water/methanol injection system (optionally with an individual tank). With this kind of power, it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.8 seconds, but the max speed is still capped at 350 km/h, again to account for the tires.

And that’s not the end of the story! POSAIDON has already announced that another power stage is in the M177DE40AL pipeline, which will smash the 1,000 hp sound barrier!

There is also something a little tamer for those who want it, with the added bonus of TÜV approval: The POSAIDON S 63 RS 830, which – as the name suggests – delivers 830 hp and 1,100 Nm. This version comes with upgrade turbochargers and costs €24,000 (US $29,066) incl. TÜV certificate. Its top speed is also 350 km/h, and it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in three smooth seconds.

For more price-sensitive customers, POSAIDON is also offering a purely electronic performance upgrade: A software update for the engine control unit pushes the AMG’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 to 700 hp and 950 Nm, which – paired with modifications to the transmission control unit and drive train control unit (CPC) – accelerates the S 63 4MATIC+ Coupe from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and to a top speed of 330 km/h. The price: €4,200 (US $5,087). A TÜV certificate can also be obtained with this.

By the way: All of these POSAIDON power levels are available not just for the S Class Coupe, but also all other AMG series with the M177 engine. These are the E 63 (213), GLE 63 (167), GT 63 (X290), G 63 (463), S 63 (222) and GLS 63 (X167).
POSAIDON is also offering similar upgrades for the C 63 (205) and GLC 63 (253) as well as for all AMG GTs with the M178.

The Ferrari 812 GTS tuned by NOVITEC

As is a successful tradition with Ferrari, there is also an open-top variant of the 812 series, the GTS. The twelve-cylinder front-engine sports car, equipped with a power-retractable hardtop in keeping with the times, can be customized exclusively at NOVITEC, the world’s leading refinement specialist for the powerful sports cars from Maranello.

The extensive product range includes aerodynamic-enhancement components in naked carbon, customized hi-tech forged wheels developed in cooperation with American manufacturer Vossen, a power upgrade to 618 kW / 840 hp, high-performance exhaust systems in various versions, and an interior tailored to the customer’s wishes in every detail.

The NOVITEC designers give the Spider an even sportier appearance with naked-carbon components. Of course, the development of the components did not only focus on thrilling looks: It is also based on extensive wind tunnel testing, which helped to optimize the handling stability of this sports car further.

To minimize front-axle lift, a front spoiler lip upgrades the production fascia. Its complement is a surround for the central air intake, whose two flaps extend over the side air intakes. This upgrade not only gives the 812 a more aggressive front view but also optimizes handling stability at high speeds.

A three-piece spoiler lip taking the form of a separation edge was developed as an aerodynamic counterpart at the rear, as was a strikingly contoured carbon upgrade for the bumper.

The NOVITEC rocker panels calm the airflow between the front and rear wheel arches and give the open-top sports car an even sportier look. The carbon trim for the exterior mirrors and the trim for the side air outlets behind the front wheel arches round off the modified side view. The two air outlets on the hood round off the racing looks.

The forged wheels developed specifically for the 812 models in cooperation with Vossen play of course also a crucial part in the thrilling looks of the Ferrari refined by NOVITEC. To emphasize the wedge shape of the open-top two-seater further, three tailor-made wheel/tire combinations with staggered diameters were developed for the front and rear axle. All NOVITEC forged wheels are available in a variety of colors and with three different surface finishes – standard, polished or brushed.

The Ferrari 812 GTS in the attached photos runs on NOVITEC NF 10 wheels of sizes 10Jx21 with high-performance tires of size 275/30 ZR 21 at the front and size 12.5Jx22 wheels with size 335/25 ZR 22 tires in back. The wheels with five pairs of delicate twin spokes are produced by high-end US manufacturer Vossen using state-of-the-art forging and machining technology. The NOVITEC NF 10 wheels transfer the racing legend of Ferrari to the road-going sports car with their stylized center lock.

The NOVITEC sport springs lower the ride height of the Ferrari by about 35 millimeters. The lowered center of gravity makes the handling even more agile. In order to negotiate obstacles such as speed bumpers or steep parking garage ramps on the road easily, NOVITEC offers a hydraulic height adjustment system for the front axle. At the touch of a button in the cockpit, the front end raises by about four centimeters and lowers again at another touch of the button or automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h.

Not even an open-top super sports car can ever have enough power. That is why the NOVITEC powerplant engineers are working on a performance upgrade for the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated four-valve V12 engine. With the NOVITEC High Performance exhaust system, combined with sports catalysts, output jumps to 618 kW / 840 hp at 8,750 rpm. At the same time, peak torque grows to 751 Nm at 7,300 rpm. This slings the powerful open-top sports car from zero to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. The top speed increases to 345 km/h.

Of course, the NOVITEC high-performance exhaust systems offer not only optimized performance but also a particularly thrilling exhaust note. They can be combined with tailpipes measuring 110 millimeters in diameter, which are adapted to fit the rear contours. They are available in a version made from polished stainless steel or finished with a matte black coating. The NOVITEC exhaust systems for the 812 are available with or without sound management by means of active exhaust flap control and can also be finished with 999 fine gold plating for optimized heat dissipation.

Opting for the variant made from INCONEL, which is also used for exhaust systems in Formula 1 racing, saves up to eleven kilograms of weight over the production system.

NOVITEC also offers exclusive refinement for the cockpit. The owner of the Spider can have his interior upholstered in the finest leather and Alcantara in virtually any color imaginable.
