2020 brings us a new Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch

A while back we had the opportunity to feature one of the most luxurious smartwatches to ever grace our pages. It was the Connected Full Diamond Modular which was coated with precious gemstones on almost every surface. While it was admittedly a little overboard, the fact that it exists is astounding. Now Tag Heuer is back once more to present its third-generation wearable. The 2020 Connected flaunts a more back-to-basics approach and the results are nothing short of remarkable.

These days, it’s actually rare to see new smartwatches that run on Google’s Wear OS. While the successor to Android Wear does carry some improvements to battery life, it cannot match the competition that runs on proprietary software. Nevertheless, what buyers can look forward to is the outstanding craftsmanship that goes into each unit.

Each 2020 Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch features a 45 mm case. This comes in a fine-brushed/polished finish for added elegance. Meanwhile, the non-rotary bezel is made of ceramic, which adds to its premium construction. The 1.39-inch 454 x 454-pixel  OLED display sits under sapphire glass. Users can choose between touch controls or use the push buttons and crown to navigate the menu.

Tag Heuer uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 chipset with Wear OS for superior performance and flexibility. Powering the 2020 Connected smartwatch is a 430 mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery good for at least 20 hours. Buyers can choose from four variants, but we personally love the all-black version that uses grade-2 titanium for the case. Overall, those who love the Carrera lineup will feel right at home with these wearables.

Ugg Scuff Slippers

Shearling slippies would make anyone feel at home. And if any brand knows how to do it right, it’s Ugg.

Polo Ralph Lauren Myles Suede Loafers

Ralph’s take on the house slipper looks like it can go off-roading. I’m gonna stay inside and keep it parked.

Quoddy Fireside Leather-Trimmed Shearling-Lined Suede Slippers

This is what I think of when I think of house slippers. But, unlike the cheaply made fare of my youth, Quoddy’s got all the bells and whistles like full-grain leather, velvety soft suede, real shearling lining and Vibram soles.

AE McAteer All Leather Slippers

From the ground up, these leather slippers are made in New York by just one craftsperson named Andrew McAteer. Vegetable-tanned top-grain leather is paired with a comfy wool-felt lining for a slipper that’s premium in fit and finish. Plus, these come with their very own custom-fitted leather case for your home away from home.

The 6 Best Beard Trimmers You Can Buy in 2020

An electric beard trimmer is a necessity for maintaining facial hair. The best ones are intuitive and offer a range of settings for general hair trimming and precision touch-ups.

In recent years, advances in rechargeable batteries have allowed for cordless trimmers to run up to an hour or more. Many beard trimmers on the market also utilize blades that require very little upkeep — as a general rule: look for self-sharpening steel blades that don’t require oil before each use.

You’ll also want to consider how, and where, you’ll be using it. Have you maintained the same beard for years and just need a one-trick pony? Do you alternate between short and long styles and need a trimmer that offers a lot of variety? Will you take your trimmer on business trips or are you leaving it in a bathroom cabinet? Finally, what’s your budget?

No matter how you answered any of these questions, our picks have you covered.

Wahl Model 9864

The Model 9864 comes with four attachments and 12 T-Blade guide combs to achieve different length trims.

The self-sharpening blades stay sharp over years of use and the warranty is one of the longest you’ll find in the world of beard trimmers. The best feature, though? A one-minute charge will give you three minutes of trimming time — perfect for procrastinators everywhere.

Choose from 20 length settings ranging from .5mm to 10mm (in .5mm increments) and use four different attachments to get your ideal trim. It utilizes self-sharpening steel blades that are removable and washable. A lithium-ion battery delivers 80 minutes of runtime on a one-hour charge. 12 Spring Jackets for 12 Different Guys

For every guy, there’s a style. For every style, there’s a jacket. As we shake off the snow and emerge from hibernation, the new season calls for proper outerwear, whether your vibe leans prep, workwear, streetwear or somewhere in-between. For that, we’ve put together this list of spring-ready jackets, each of which are classics in their own right and in their own respective style camps.

Baracuta G9

A favorite of the Ivy set, PGA golfers and Steve McQueen, Baracuta’s G9 is a lightweight option that’s ready for a surprise rain even if you’re not. Also known as the Harrington Jacket, you can’t fail with this and a pair of well-fitting blue jeans.

Alex Mill Garment-Dyed Work Jacket

Alex Mill’s work jacket takes clear cues from classic French chore coats and whether you fancy yourself a workwear enthusiast or just a fan of timeless design, this will get you through spring and beyond.

Everlane Bomber Jacket

For a cleaner aesthetic, Everlane’s slick Bomber Jacket pairs well with slim chinos, a solid button-up shirt and minimalist sneakers.

Barbour Ashby Wax Jacket

In the waxed jacket game, Barbour is likely the first name to come up. Its hunting-style Ashby jacket is an undeniable classic that pairs well with beat-up jeans and Blundstones and looks just as well full-English with derbies and trousers.

Dickies Unlined Eisenhower Jacket

Since 1922 Dickies has been outfitting tough goods for hard labor and its Eisenhower Jacket remains a perennial mainstay of the workwear brand. The unlined version is a solid pick for the warmer months, whether it’s on the job site with a hard hat or on a skateboard with baggy pants.

Levi’s Trucker Jacket

No list on classic jackets is complete without the Levi’s Trucker Jacket. No closet is truly complete without it either. The trucker transcends style and fits easily over a hoodie, under a top coat or straight up, with a plain white tee.

orSlow 50s Denim Jacket

That said, if your flavor of denim jacket leans more workwear/denimhead, Japanese repro brand orSlow’s take on the Type II denim jacket should be on your radar. With exacting period-correct details in a Japanese 13.5-ounce selvedge denim, it would go well with a pair of wide-fitting jeans and engineer boots.

L.L.Bean Allagash Fleece Overshirt

Or, maybe your spring jacket looks more like a shirt. L.L.Bean’s overshirt is a fleecy take on outerwear that’s a perfect layering piece to go with a henley, khakis and sneakers.

Patagonia Lightweight All-Wear Hemp Coaches Jacket

Patagonia’s lightweight coach’s jacket feels just at home on the beach with a pair of baggies as it does on a jaunt through the trails with some Salomon hiking shoes on feet.

Visvim Iris Liner

Cult Japanese brand Visvim’s over-the-top take on Americana has drawn legions of fans and its Iris liner is just one of the brand’s mainstays. For the streetwear-head, it’s a must-have.

J.Crew Field Mechanic Jacket

Based on classic military jackets, J.Crew’s Field Mechanic Jacket is well-suited for the guy who doesn’t mind dressing down his suit.

Blue Blue Japan Blue Toriashi Pattern Kimono Cardigan

Blue Blue Japan’s mastery of indigo is evident. It’s in the name twice after all. For the guy who’s indigo-obsessed and a self-professed Japanophile, this cardigan will pass as spring outerwear, especially since he’ll want to show it off.

13 Umbrellas That Look Great, Rain or Shine

There is a particular disappointment that accompanies a bad umbrella. You were prepared. You bought it months before the rainy season. You left it by the door as a reminder to snatch it on your way out. But, a single bent spoke on its maiden voyage has you wrestling with the wind while the umbrella splays into an inverted mess of broken ribs and busted joints. Either you commit yourself to improvised umbrella surgery, or you steal a visitor umbrella from the Ritz. The third option, of course, is to buy an umbrella that works.

The acceptance that a good umbrella costs more than $10 opens a world of choice for the outdoorsman, the practical urbanite and the disciple of high fashion alike. Our list is a grip of options for all of the above. The primary goal is to stay dry — but it doesn’t hurt to look good in the process.

Uniqlo Compact Umbrella

Simple, effective and easy on the wallet, Uniqlo’s compact umbrella fits into any bag and any wardrobe. This one rotates freely to help combat gusts of wind and the added clip holds on to the slipcover so you won’t lose it.

Repel Windproof Double Vented Travel Umbrella

Repel’s umbrella is a classic design with a few tricks up its sleeve like a double-vented canopy, Teflon-coated fabric and automatic open/close mechanism. It’s also the number one rated umbrella on Amazon.

Balios Prestige Travel Umbrella

For something a bit more refined at the same price, Balios offers much of the same functionality as Repel’s popular umbrella in a classier aesthetic.

HAY Mono Umbrella

Danish design brand HAY is known for bringing elevated simplicity into the home with a sophisticated line of furniture and homeware. This monochromatic pastel toes the line between utilitarian and aesthetic sculpture.

Barbour Plaid Mini Umbrella

Barbour’s distinct tartan plaid works well front and center, too, not just hidden as a jacket lining.

Sies Marjan x AMO

In collaboration with architectural firm AMO for Rem Koolhaas’s “Countryside, The Future” exhibition at The Guggenheim, designer Sies Marjan’s signature gradient brings an unmatched calm to the storm.

Blunt Metro Umbrella

This compact and collapsible umbrella is wind-tested to 55 mph and has a two-year warranty — it also comes in 12 colors, so you can stand out in a sea of black umbrellas (if that’s your goal).

Certain Standard Large Wallingford Umbrella

This large umbrella has a fiberglass and composite frame and natural cork handle, so it weighs in at just 1 pound. With a canopy diameter of 46-inches, it’ll keep you and whoever you’re walking with dry in the worst downpours.

London Undercover Maple Wood-Handle Umbrella

If Paddington Bear misplaced his raincoat, this would be his backup plan.

Davek Solo Umbrella

Form is function with Davek’s flagship umbrella. We’re inclined to agree with its approach.

Lockwood Hand-Stitched Italian Leather Super Slim Umbrella

If anyone knows rain, it’s the English. So it’s no surprise that some of the finest umbrellas come from Britain. This one features a luxe hand-stitched leather handle that will patina with age (just so long as you don’t leave it in a cab).

Fox Umbrella GT1 Gentleman Tube Umbrella

Since 1868, Fox has been handcrafting luxury umbrellas and is among the first names to be mentioned in the umbrella conversation. This one features a gorgeous wood handle with a gold-tone metal cap to bring a bit of elegance to your rainy jaunt.

Maglia Francesco Red Striped Umbrella with Ashwood Handle

The bamboo handle and ashwood shaft set Maglia Francesco’s umbrella apart from the usual metal-shafted options on the market. The striped canopy adds a rakish flare.

This Is the Exact Sweater That James Bond Wears (And Yes, You Can Buy It)

<!–You Can Now Buy James Bond’s Sweater from ‘No Time to Die’ • Gear Patrol<!– –>

No Time to Die

The James Bond films are known for slick cars, futuristic gadgets, action-packed secret agent escapades and, of course, covetable clothes. While the Bond character is a fan of tailored suits, the latest in the mega-franchise sees him sporting more casual (and equally drool-worthy) pieces.

In many major scenes in No Time to Die, Daniel Craig can be seen wearing a military-inspired sweater from London-based luxury knitwear brand N.Peal. The cashmere-centric brand, founded in 1936, collaborated with the film’s costume designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb on a design made specifically for the film and draws upon Bond’s Royal Navy background.

The dark blue sweater incorporates maritime uniform details like canvas patches at the elbows and shoulders as well as a drawstring boat neck collar. With nearly a century of skill behind it, N.Peal knits the beautiful ribbed sweater using a luxurious blend of merino wool and cashmere.

Available in sizes XXS to XXL, the sweater is now available for $465 at N.Peal. And while you may not have the same lifestyle 007, you can still take a cue from Bond’s timeless style.

The Bell & Ross BR-X1 R.S.20 is a collaboration with Renault

While most high-end watchmakers go for a more rounded case, there are some that can make other shapes work. Thankfully, Bell & Ross is one of those brands that add a signature look to their watches. Their latest offering is the BR-X1 R.S.20 and boy does it impress the moment you see the racing-inspired design. That’s right this exclusive timekeeper comes from a partnership with the Renault F1 Team. As such we love the combination of black and yellow that gives it a striking appeal from the get-go.

As with watches from the Bell & Ross catalog, you will immediately recognize the round within a square form factor. the 45 mm case is satin-polished titanium and ceramic with the addition of rubber inserts. The rocker push buttons on the right flank are highly visible courtesy of the bright yellow elements. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the skeleton dial with a bi-directional PVD bezel.

The BR-X1 R.S.20 sports a 30-minute counter sub-dial at the 9 o’clock section. Opposite sits a small seconds sub-dial, while below the two is a small date window. The numerals come with a Super-LumiNova coating as well on the hour and minute hands. the tachymeter scale on the flange is likewise a mix of black indices against a yellow ring.

Bell & Ross equips the BR-X1 R.S.20 with its automatic mechanical BR-CAL.313 movement. Flip the watch over to see case-back with a tinted sapphire window to showcase the inner workings. The perforated black rubber strap completes the sporty ensemble, while steel buckle secures it in place. Only 250 examples will be on offer.

12 Great Bucket Hats to Wear This Spring

With the best season on the horizon, it’s hard not to think of sunny days without bucket hats. Early on, however, the bucket hat was meant for more inclement weather. First seen on the heads of fishermen in the early 1900s, the bucket hat was originally embodied in woolen tweed fabrics which were naturally water-repellent. From there, the hat moved ashore as the Irish walking hat and became a staple piece of the country’s style through the mid-1900s.

Today, thanks to tropical military uniforms, bucket hats have more of a warm-weather connotation and are usually seen in a canvas or twill fabric. But like their predecessor, they still come with a wide, downward-sloping brim that spans the entire perimeter of the crown. Just as all bucket hats provide us with 360-degree coverage, we’ve rounded up a list of bucket hats from all angles. Well, twelve angles anyway, each of which you can wear this spring.

The Hat Depot 300N Bucket Hat

A completely regular, completely cotton bucket hat in a complete range of colors (30, to be exact).

Urban Outfitters Bucket Hat

The contrast stitching is so subtle, but makes all the difference. Urban Outfitter’s in-house bucket hat is sloped enough to give it a cool kid edge.

Mont-Bell Stainless Mesh Hat

Mont-Bell is very clear in its description of this metal-coated hat, “it is NOT an effective means of reducing exposure to UV radiation.” But it is effectively a very cool hat, literally and figuratively.

Patagonia Surf Brim Hat

You don’t have to know how to surf (or swim) to wear Patagonia’s wave-ready bucket. But you definitely could shred with it fully secured to your noggin.

MKI Denim Bucket Hat

We couldn’t not include a denim bucket hat in this list. Sprinkle some ’90s garnish atop your fit with this denim patchwork bucket hat.

Save Khaki Corduroy Bucket Hat

If you’re more of a corduroy stan, even through the warmer months, Save Khaki’s Corduroy Bucket Hat comes in several can’t-be-mad-at-that colors and is made right here in the States.

18east x ArkAir Bucket Hat

Teaming together for a limited run of bucket hats is New York-based brand 18east and UK garment specialists ArkAir. This one uses an indigo-dyed Arjakh print to set it apart from the rest of the pack.

Polo Ralph Lauren

Or if you’re a shameless ‘Lo Head, stay fully fitted with this Pony.

Norse Projects Gore-tex Bucket Hat

Gore-tex lined for full waterproof-ness paired with reflective accents and a removable chin strap makes Norse Projects’ some sort of utilitarian triple threat. It also looks great.

Engineered Garments Bucket Hat

Lauded New York label Engineered Garments produces its bucket hat every season in different fabrics using the same wonky, oblong shape that isn’t for the basic guy. The sculptural silhouette, cotton-nylon blend and classic check pattern make this one a perfect spring statement.

Acne Studios Brun Cotton-Canvas Bucket Hat

Acne Studios’ entry into the hat is made with a sturdy cotton canvas that gives it more structure than the average bucket. The minimalist design and subtle branding is a low-key way to top off your outfit.

Loewe Classic Bucket Hat

You can bet that this lambskin leather bucket hat won’t fly off your head, not because of the zippered brim, but because this one is $650 and you wouldn’t want to lose it.

The Best Spring Scents, New and Classic

While a quintessential spring scent will cast its radius with floral and fresh notes, others take different means to an end. (Notes of tennis balls and clay courts, anyone?) Regardless of the spicy or aromatic or floral notes they employ, all spring scents aim to capture the essence of the season. Spring yields optimism, be it from observing the expanse of the ocean, or savoring your third gin & tonic of the evening, or experiencing the fresh bloom on a volcanic Portuguese island. Or maybe just watching the shadows grow longer and more languid with each passing day, all from the comfort of your lawn chair.

Regardless, there’s something to savor and appreciate in each of those moments, and these six scents are an ode to the same sentiment. Spring is upon us, so let’s cast an optimistic radius with a fragrance that fits the mood.

New Scents

Giorgio Armani Acqua di Giò Profondo

Adding a fourth dimension to Armani’s exquisite Acqua di Giò lineup, Profondo washes over the senses like the Sicilian seas—and it even summons notes of those waters to underscore this essence. (The entire Acqua di Giò assortment is built around the sensation of infinite waters.) Profondo’s intense aromatic freshness is rounded by crisp bergamot and green mandarin, calming lavender, and uplifting rosemary, then sets anchors with a musk and woody patchouli base.

Claus Porto Agua Flores

Agua Flores is the sixth addition in Claus Porto’s Água de Colónia collection, an olfactive ode to Portugal’s various regions. Agua Flores summons another corner of the country — or rather, an entire island set in the middle of the Atlantic. That’s the volcanic, verdant Azores, themselves covered in blooming flowers nearly year-round. As such, Agua Flores is a floral scent that centers on jasmine, though it’s enveloped by citrus, sandalwood, vetiver, black pepper, tonka, resin and suede. Will it maybe a stray from your fuller, woodier winter scents, this is one fresh, light way to welcome the rising sun.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gentle Fluidity (Silver)

The perfume equivalent to a top-shelf gin and tonic, the juniper-rich Silver-Edition Gentle Fluidity is both spicy and aromatic. It is part of a silver-gold tandem from the brand, wherein Gold is a more sweet counterpart to Silver’s sharpness. In this Silver blend, coriander, nutmeg and musk play supporting characters to juniper’s lead, like a craft cocktail that is somehow better than the signature drink. Gentle Fluidity hits the senses like your first sip of G&T, then settles into its groove just like your third or fourth.

Classic Scents

Imaginary Authors The Soft Lawn

Who knew that tennis balls and clay courts could be bottled into a cologne — and who knew that “tennis essence” could be one of our favorite spring scents? The Soft Lawn is for breezy, leisurely weekends, and it recalls that first break in spring, where the sun is finally out and the legs of your pants evaporate below the knees. Combined with those fresh tennis notes are earthy, woody, and floral hues; together they make The Soft Lawn the only thing that tops the smell of a freshly opened can of tennis balls.

Yves Saint Laurent L’Homme Eau de Toilette

Rare is a spicy scent so perfect for spring, but that’s the case for YSL’s timeless men’s scent. While it’s grounded by tonka bean, vetiver, and cedar, L’Homme gets its core profile from ginger and white pepper. It wears light and fresh, which helps earn those springtime stripes. (As opposed to more biting spicy fragrances that you might sport in fall and winter.) This one is a candidate for your own signature, year-round scent, too — especially if you like something universally appealing that wears subtly.

Jo Malone Amber & Lavender

Take a wild guess at the two core notes in Jo Malone’s Amber & Lavender. (We really hope you guessed amber and lavender.) Together, they create a warming and enveloping scent, thanks to the former ingredient, and also one that soothes the senses, thanks to the latter ingredient. It’s like the subtle warmth of the springtime sun, with the freshness of the season’s bloom. There’s a perennial nature in Amber & Lavender, too, not just due to the contrast between these two notes. It’s held in balance by the addition of petitgrain, patchouli, bergamot, clove and mint.

The 25 Best Fragrances for Men

By declaring these 25 ‘the best’, we’re narrowing that hunt down to a handful of universally adored fragrances. We’ve even sorted them by season, if you prefer warmer notes in winter, compared to crisp, fresh ones when the sun shines bright. Read the Story

This Australian Boot Brand Is Now Making Covetable Sneakers

Going on nine decades, R.M. Williams has built its reputation in the Outback and on horseback. The Australian boot brand outfitted stockmen and cowboys with its bush boot, a laceless style similar to the Chelsea with a one-piece leather upper and elastic gussets. The brand found much success with the silhouette, aptly named the Craftsman boot, but is now expanding its offerings to a city-focused category: sneakers.

Loyal fans might be surprised that R.M. Williams is dipping its toes into the sneaker market, but it’s actually not new territory for the brand. In the 1940s, the footwear maker produced a sneaker called the Sand Shoe hoping to reach a more casual section of the market.

“Every once in a while, classic Aussie slang comes back around — and the Sand Shoe is one such word,” explains Mathew Hayward, Chief Marketing Officer at R.M. Williams. “Coined back in the day, a Sand Shoe was, well, for wearing in the sand.”

More specifically, the sports shoes had flat rubber soles and were designed for customers who wanted comfortable kicks for everyday wear and recreation. “Reginald [R.M. himself] was many things — a craftsman, a journeyman, a gold digger, an entrepreneur and a merchant,” he says. “He wanted to find the best product, materials and solutions for his consumers’ demands and lifestyles, and that’s why it was introduced back in the 1940s and why we have offered it back in the range today.”

R.M. Williams’ modernization of the Sand Shoe comes in two styles: the Surry, a classic tennis shoe with a minimalist design, and the Fitzroy, a running-inspired sneaker. Not only do the new sneakers feature fresh designs, but they also make use of the brand’s top-tier materials. Both styles utilize supple yearling leather, the same smooth, durable leather used in R.M. Williams’ Outback-ready boots.

“We are first and foremost a company that prides itself in the craftsmanship of fine leather goods as an authentic heritage brand, designing and manufacturing products for life’s adventures,” Hayward says. The Surry and Fitzroy showcase iconic leather in practical, clean and comfortable silhouettes — an embodiment of the brand’s values. “The simplicity of the design talks to our early sand shoes,” he says. “But, it’s built with purpose for today’s modern journeyman and journeywomen — the modern adventurer.”

The Tambour Curve Flying Tourbillon from Louis Vuitton exudes stylish elegance

For the fashion-conscious among you, Louis Vuitton is a label that speaks ultimate luxury when it comes to pricing and style. Over the years, the brand’s reach has made its way beyond that of suitcases, handbags, and other leather products. However, the mission stays the same – to craft some of the highest quality items for the discerning consumer. Speaking of premium caliber, here we have the Tambour Curve Flying Tourbillon. This elegant timepiece hails from the company’s own watchmaking facilities — Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.

Aside from the brand’s distinction, each Tambour Curve Flying Tourbillon is a bespoke example of its own. This is courtesy of the 46 mm case which is apparently CarboStratum. It is an unbelievably lightweight yet durable material from 100 sheets of carbon layered and compressed. This results in unique patterns which means that no two watches are the same.

Meanwhile, the base, crown, and lugs are made of titanium. It features an open-work dial in the shape of the Louis Vuitton logo. The star of the show is the flying tourbillon that is visible at the 9 o’clock area. Meanwhile, if you look down at the 6 o’clock position, a Poinçon de Genève seal is a testament of its pedigree. This assures anyone of the exceptional craftsmanship and performance it delivers.

The Louis Vuitton Tambour Curve Flying Tourbillon relies on an LV 108 manual movement with an 80-hour power reserve. For those who want an even more lavish, a more extravagant configuration is likewise available. It flaunts diamonds on the LV logo dial, base, crown, and bezels with white gold elements for good measure.

8 Hand Lotions, Creams and Salves to Save Your Dry Hands

Caring for your hands is imperative. They’re the tools we work with every day, after all. And seeing so much action can wear heavily on these precious tools.

Manual labor certainly takes its toll on our hands, leaving them dirty and calloused. But also, every time you wash your hands or take a shower, your skin is stripped of its natural oils which are essential for keeping it elastic and moist. Without them, skin can become dry and cracked. It’s essential to replenish these oils shortly after washing your hands or post-shower with a good hand moisturizer. If you’ve got sensitive skin like me, you already know that the need to keep your hands in good shape is doubly imperative.

Mrs. Meyers Hand Lotion

Mrs. Meyers has become a mainstay of household products and its line of hand lotions are a popular choice for good reason. The combination of almond oil and shea butter replenish the skin, helping it to feel soft and supple, but it’s still light enough so as to not feel greasy.

Aveeno Skin Relief Intense Moisture Hand Cream

Aveeno’s Hand Cream contains colloidal oatmeal which has several benefits. It helps provide a protective barrier between your skin and the elements, it’s effective at retaining moisture and it’s also anti-inflammatory.

Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Hand Salve

Burt’s Bees hand salve is great to have on-hand (literally) for several reasons. For one, the tin packaging makes it easy to stash in a pocket and carry with you. Another is its blend of natural herbs and oils. Olive oil is a main ingredient in the hand salve and provides a number of vitamins that are beneficial to skin health. Not to mention olive oil’s natural anti-bacterial properties which help prevent infections.

O’Keeffe’s Working Hands Hand Cream

O’Keeffe’s Hand Cream is one of the most popular hand creams on Amazon thanks to its effectiveness and price point. It contains glycerin which is a humectant, meaning that helps not only to retain moisture but actually pull moisture to the skin since it attracts water to itself. Needless to say, it’s an attractive option for those with cracked and chapped hands.

Lovett Sundries Hand & Body Cream

Lovett Sundries’ hand cream contains several key ingredients that are life-saving for your skin, especially if you experience skin conditions such as eczema. One of those ingredients is coconut oil. In several studies, it’s been shown to help retain moisture, reduce inflammation and even accelerate healing of wounds. It also is effective at killing harmful microorganisms which can exacerbate wounds from cracked skin.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

Shea butter has a number of positive properties that make it a go-to for skincare. It’s a naturally occurring material that’s harvested from tree nuts and is highly concentrated with vitamins and fatty acids that work together to help promote cell regeneration and moisture retention while reducing inflamed skin and stopping harmful microbes and fungi from forming. It’s also the primary ingredient in L’Occitane’s hand cream.

Aesop Reverence Aromatique Hand Balm

Aesop’s line of luxury grooming and skin care products isn’t just fluffy marketing. It really works. The Reverence Aromatique Hand Balm contains a formulated blend of shea butter, coconut oil, almond oil and glycerin to help enrich the skin. It also contains potassium lactate which, like glycerin, is a humectant and has high moisture retention. And with its sophisticated balance of vetiver root, petitgrain and bergamot rind, it smells lovely.

Byredo Suede Hand Cream

Byredo’s hand cream is one of the best-smelling options we’ve come across, as is to be expected of the French label which also specializes in premium fragrances. Byredo’s Suede Hand cream perfectly orchestrates bergamot and fresh aldehydes at the top with mid-notes of lily of the valley and violet as well as base notes of crisp amber, soft musk and velvet plum. Aside from its fragrant attributes, it’s light and greaseless on the skin and also contains butylene glycol which helps the skin to feel soft.

The collection is set to release Saturday, March 7.

It’s hard not to drool whenever Japanese-based brand Nepenthes comes out with anything. Its latest editorial highlights all its lauded labels like Needles, Engineered Garments and more.

Maison Margiela Wool & Mohair Cropped Pants

There are chinos, and then there are chinos.

Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 Low

Sure, this a restock. But a classic is a classic is a classic.

Our Legacy Western Leather Mules

Not for the faint of heart, Our Legacy’s Western Leather Mules are what Swedish cowboys wear when they want to chill, we assume.

Diemme Movida Vibram Low

Italian shoe brand Diemme line of rugged hiking boots draws legions of fans and its hiking sneaker will draw even more.

Drop x Dickies Cramerton Chinos

Cramerton Mills is to khaki fabric as Cone Mills is to denim. So, when we heard that Drop was doing a run of exclusive Dickies pants using the primo fabric, we got excited.

Checkerboard Is About to Take Over Your Wardrobe. Here’s Why

Checking En Vogue

Chess grandmaster Gary Kasparov is acquainted with it. Mario Andretti has greeted it more times than most other professional race car drivers. Now, your favorite designers are using it all over their collections. Checkerboard.

It’s been seeping back into the fashion scene steadily and if you pay attention, you’ll see it basically everywhere. From sneakers to shirts, sweaters and accessories, the pattern follows in the footsteps of the recent animal-print trend. Perhaps the most well-known example is Sean Penn’s character Spicoli in the ’80s teen movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. His stoner character sported the now-iconic Vans slip-on in a checkerboard print, which trendy youth had previously been DIY-ing with permanent markers. And, this spring, it’s made a comeback.

If you found yourself well-adjusted in the herd of cheetahs and zebras, the checkerboard trend won’t be too big of a jump. For the less bold but curious, think of it as a big brother to Gingham. It’s easy to dip your toes into a pair of the Vans slip-on, the floodgates of which have been wide open since Ridgemont High. Or replace your plaids and Hawaiian shirts with a checkered variant. Splash it on a pair of shorts or go full-grunge with a mohair cardigan. Whichever way you approach it, it’ll be a checkmate.
