Xmera Bionic Bike

Thought initially as no more than a passing fad, the electric bike has undergone some sort of rigorous revitalization and is now seen as something cool, even necessary. Problem is they can get really expensive if you’re not looking at the right options, but the Xmera Bionic hopes the change that.

As more mainstream bike manufacturers jump aboard the electric bike hype train, it becomes harder to sift through the perfect one to suit your needs. But consider the Xmera Bionic bike as a sterling candidate. It’s nimble, has a fairly compact profile, and does all you expect an electrike bike would be capable of doing.

It looks different — in a good way. Resembling a scrambler instead of a classic pedal model, this bike is like a motorcycle with the tank missing — that’s no shade, though. The look is fitting and unique, not stunted. There’s an electric pedal onboard, plus tracking functionalities for heart rate, distance, calories burned, and more.

You even get a fitness band that sends information to the bike, which then adjusts pedal assist levels if necessary. You can pick between the two models. One’s a 750-watt beast that goes up to 120 miles on a full charge, the better but costlier option. You can even opt for a backup battery if you want to squeeze even more miles out of this bad boy.

Bird Cruiser

Electric scooter startup Bird has unveiled the two-seater Bird Cruiser minibike. As a company, Bird is no joke. The multibillion-dollar outfit helped kick-start the micro-mobility movement globally — it even regards itself a “disruptor.”

But the Bird Cruiser shows it adapting a more familiar, less innovative idea. The ride boasts padded seats, hydraulic disc brakes, and an LCD matrix display — additions meant to address the general apprehension toward purchasing electric bikes. Bird is coming out with two versions: one comes with a throttle, where you’ll place your feet on pegs to advance forward. The other is a pedal-assist variant, which works more like a traditional bike.

Essentially, the Bird Cruiser is a sophisticated mix between a bicycle and a moped. It also marks Bird’s first move outside of the kick scooter space. The ride is also part of the startup’s shared vehicles fleet. And also its Bird Platform program where it lets enterprise users run their own businesses using Bird’s vehicles.

The bike is launching this summer in select territories; Bird will distribute the peg and pedal-assist variants according to market. Both bikes boast a 52-volt battery, which is typical of e-bikes these days. It can track hills without a hiccup, just so you know.

“Bird’s introduction of shared e-scooters spurred a global phenomenon and mode shift away from cars,” said Bird founder and CEO Travis VanderZanden. “Starting this summer, people can move about their city and explore new neighborhoods together, without a car. Designed and engineered in California, Bird Cruiser is an inclusive electric-powered option that is approachable, easy-to-ride and comfortable on rough roads.”

Sarolea x Mighty Machines N60 MM.01 Electric Motorcycle

The Mighty Machines’ latest collaboration sees it get three-way hitched with Belgian bike maker Sarolea and design house Café Costume. Thus comes this movie prop-worthy electric motorbike, called N60 MM.01 officially. As a bonus, it even comes with a designer helmet, tailored suit, and a blade knife for a complete head-to-toe outfit.

The style package brings enormous flair to the cafe-style N60, which on its own is already tantalizing. It’s builts on the same platform as the Manx7 electric superbike, complete with air-cooled brushless DC motor. That’s 163 ponies, mind you. You’ll get 205 miles out of this bad boy before it needs a full swig of juice again.

The extreme styling only gets better from there. The bike also comes with a carbon fiber monocoque. Topped off, no less, with front and rear suspensions from Ohlins and a carbon fiber swingarm.

As for the suit, it’s custom-made to better complement Sarolea’s advanced engineering. It’s top-notch protection coated in modern touches. If we’re being completely honest, we won’t be surprised if this bike makes it to the fourth John Wick movie. Heck, why stop there. This whole look would probably fit in Wick’s gauzy and neon-dripped bloodsport world.

The helmet comes courtesy of Hedon Helmets, from Milan, who laced it with liberal carbon fiber trims. Studio Blade, meanwhile, threw in a handmade Damascus steel knife. Needless to say the N60 MM.01 teems with copious helpings of eyecandy. It’s practically got everything if you prefer riding in style. Check out the link below for more information.

Tempus Titan R E-Bike

Tempus is a newcomer in the electric bike field, but if it continues to make bikes as good as its Titan R model, its longevity in the business is practically guaranteed.

To distinguish itself from the e-bike manufacturer crowd, the Titan R takes styling cues from classic cafe racer motorcycles. While most e-bikes come accentuated with futuristic aesthetic, the flourish here harken back to classic, highly stylized motorcycles of several eras past.

Thee skateboard seat sells the whole vibe, too. There’s also a faux tank and knee indents, to boot. They’re super on-the-nose, let’s be fair, but also pretty cheeky in a way that you can’t help but adore the thing.

As for its powertrain, there’s a 1000-watt hub motor that comes a with pedal assist. Top speed is at 28 mph. The removable lithium-ion battery can have you hightailing for 45 miles on a single charge, also.

For the brakes, you’ll find hydraulic disc ones. That’s paired with 26 by 2.4-inch wheels, which is big enough to get over urban roadblocks and obstacles. The battery locks to the hardtail frame so you don’t have to worry about that thing when you’re not riding.

Tempus is positioning the Titan R as an e-bike for the masses, and even though that’s a pretty bold claim, we’d argue they just made that happen. It’s one of the most powerful offerings in the company’s stash, and is hitting Tempus’ catalog this year. If you fancy a robust and reliable cafe-inspired e-bike, this one’s worth looking into.
