Memorial Day Savings

There is no “best” couch. The best is up to what a person needs in any given living room. But Burrow’s well-priced, sturdy, comfortable, quick-shipping sofas are about as close to best as you can get.

Available upholstered and in leather, Burrow’s sofas ship in pieces that can be assembled or disassembled in about 15 minutes, making it the perfect renter’s sofa. The frame is birch wood, the legs are oak and there’s a nifty charging cable built into the base. While not as low as Ikea, its prices are fair (full-size couches start at $1,395). From now until May 31, those prices are even better.

The company’s July 4th sale is now live, offering sitewide discounts that scale with your order total — 10 percent off orders up to $1,799, $200 off for $1,800+ orders and all the way up to $500 off for $4,000+ orders. The sale is added to your cart with the code USA.

These Audio Technica Earbuds Are $250 Off, But There’s a Catch

<!–These Audio Technica Earbuds Are $250 Off, But There’s a Catch • Gear Patrol<!– –>

Great Sound, Cheap Price

Released in early 2018, the Audio-Technica ATH-DSR5BT are high-end wireless in-ear headphones that normally cost $400 — but right now B&H is selling them for just $150. The only catch is that they have a neckband-style design, making them more comfortable to wear (but maybe a little less portable and a lot less stylish) than traditional in-ear wireless headphones. The bottom line, these are great sounding wireless earbuds that, right now, are an incredible value.

B&H is running a number of other holiday deals on headphones by JBL, NuForce and Audio-Technica. Check them out, here.

<!–Harman Kardon’s $250 Wireless Headphones Are Just $60 • Gear Patrol<!– –>

Soho Wireless

Harman Kardon’s wireless on-ear headphones, the Soho Wireless, are on sale right now. You can buy a pair for $60, which is a fraction of their normal $250 price. The Soho Wireless is an older pair of headphones, originally released in 2015, which is probably why they’re so inexpensive right now; but if you’re looking for good-sounding wireless headphones with a striking and lightweight design, this is a great deal to jump on.

These Are Some of the Best American-Made Shoes You Can Buy. Now They’re 40% Off

Some of the best shoes made in America come from one Lewiston, Maine brand: Rancourt. The family-owned business has been crafting handsewn (literally, sewn by hand) moccasin-style shoes since 1967, building a reputation for fine footwear along the way.

Though the brand’s enjoyed decades of success, Rancourt has, like many businesses, felt the squeeze of the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the brand is fighting to withstand the current climate and keep not only its employees working, but also the rich tradition of American shoemaking alive. To do this, the Rancourt is pivoting its traditional retail model and turning to crowdfunding.

And that, it turns out, means some serious discounts for customers. Via crowdfunding, Rancourt is offering its most popular, best-selling styles at wholesale prices — which amounts to a hefty 40 percent off.

Each shoe uses top-tier full-grain leathers from the esteemed Horween Leather tannery in Chicago and is built with traditional long-lasting construction methods. You’ll find all the best styles on sale, from a pair of classic American beef roll penny loafers to moccasin-style chukkas — even luxe minimalist sneakers.

The brand will collect orders until it hits the target threshold: the number of orders it needs to produce batches of shoes and keep its shoemakers employed. Like a pre-order model of retail, the shoes won’t be available right away and will take about two to three months to ship. That may be a long time to wait for some people, but you can still order a pair of ready-made shoes for immediate satisfaction.

Classic Ranger-Moc by Rancourt $250 $150

Acadia Chukka by Rancourt $280 $175

Read Boat Shoe by Rancourt $250 $150

Court Classic 2.0 by Rancourt $280 $170

Court Classic 2.0 Mid by Rancourt $295 $175

Beefroll Penny Loafer by Rancourt $295 $185

Need a Camper Van Mattress? Some of the Best Are 25% Off

<!–Need a Camper Van Mattress? Some of the Best Are 25% Off • Gear Patrol<!– –>

4th of july sale

Life in an RV or camper van comes with all sorts of wonderful advantages, from being able to wake up in a new place every day to never having to worry about where you’re going to sleep at night. Of course, both of those — and many other appealing parts of living that #vanlife — involve having a mobile place to sleep. Yet the mattresses that come with many a camper are, well, not exactly the sort you’d find at the Ritz.

Well, if you don’t compromise on quality when it comes to your mattress at home, you shouldn’t do so in your rolling domicile, either. Brooklyn Bedding’s RV Mattress division offers up an array of cushiony places to sleep that come in a wide variety of sizes tailored specifically to fit into your camper van or recreational vehicle.

Here’s the great part: right now, as part of a 4th of July sale, everything on RV Mattress is 25 percent off when you use the code INDEPENDENCE25. The best deal of the bunch by far is the Brooklyn Wanderlust, which is marked down to a starting price of $149 with the discount, but it’s hardly the only bargain to be found; the super-popular Brooklyn Bowery Hybrid now starts at $412, while the top-of-the-line Brooklyn Aurora Hybrid starts at $749.

Flight Alarm

You don’t need to be a pilot to appreciate the cool functionality offered by watches like the Seiko SNA Flight Alarm Chronograph. Even if you’re not using the slide rule bezel to calculate stuff like ground speed and fuel consumption, it can be useful in daily civilian life as well — and so can the chronograph. Powered by a Japanese quartz movement, the SNA also features a handy alarm, and the whole thing just looks serious and badass. All those features usually will cost you $475, but right now you can get it for 55% off at just $215.
