Tekto Gear makes a wide array of commendable knives. Its automatic blades are some of the sturdiest and best-looking around. One of the newest additions to its automatic category is the Torp. It has a 3.4-inch chrome steel blade that pairs with a splendid forest green aviation-grade aluminum handle for a prominent look. The Torp also features a tungsten glass breaker for added utility. The distinct Torp is certainly a welcome addition to the Tekto Gear offering.

Use the discount code GP20 for 20-percent off.

Note: Owning and carrying an automatic knife isn’t legal in every state due to the Federal Switchblade Act. You can check how the law works in your state here.

Nelson Rigg CL-1060-BP Commuter Sport Backpack
Save 50%: Very few backpacks can say they “have it all” when it comes to space, utility and durability.

Equipped with a 16-liter capacity, integrated helmet holder, hydration pack compartment, separate camera pouch, a tablet and laptop sleeve, dedicated media player or smartphone pocket and lockable zippers. Almost everything you need for your commute and the day ahead has a space in the Nelson Rigg Commuter Sport. — Bryan Campbell

Revolutionary New Gear for Winter Is on Sale Right Now
Save 20%: Moosejaw is offering 20 percent off some of the best new winter products that just became available only weeks ago, from Salomon’s new ski binding to Patagonia’s lightest synthetic insulation jacket. — Tanner Bowden

LG 4K OLED TV
Save $1,097: Whether you’re interested in an OLED TV or you just want a good and affordable TV – this checks both those boxes. B&H is offering a 55-inch C8PUA for just $1,400 when you enter the code LGDAY at checkout. The 55-inch C8PUA was originally going for $2,497, but the price was dropped to $1,697 in the last month or so. However, now that you can get another ~$300 off at B&H with that code, this OLED is almost the same price as LG’s still-really-nice LCD TVs. And that’s pretty ridiculous.

Note: LG notoriously makes the best OLED TVs and the C8PUA is one of its best – both CNET and Rtings.com gave it glowing reviews.

Casio AE1200WH World-Multifunction
Save 40%: I was on the hunt for an affordable watch I could beat the shit out of, still depend on it to tell me the time and not get heartbroken if it bit the dust. In my search, I came across the Casio AE1200WH World Multifunction. It’s above and beyond what I was looking for, but it’s exactly what I need. And for $15, how do you turn it down? — Bryan Campbell

Bonobos Is Giving Us a Little Extra
Save an additional 30% on final sale items If you’re still shopping for fall essentials, don’t miss Bonobos’ current sale. The menswear retailer is currently offering 30 percent off some of its most desirable sale pieces, like warm flannel shirts, cotton-cashmere quarter zips, jeans and leather accessories. All you have to do to take advantage of the sale is enter the code SUPERSALE when you check out.— Justin Fenner

ThermoWorks ChefAlarm
Save 20% The ChefAlarm has an extra-long cable (47 inches), a 6-inch probe and does not have the typical weak points we’ve seen in other probe thermometers. Its got magnets on the back to stay put on your oven door, adjustable volume settings (because it was designed for professional kitchen use, it gets very loud), screen brightness dampers and is the only probe thermometer we’ve tested that can be calibrated. More importantly, it’s also the most consistently accurate temperature reader we’ve tried.

Using it is pretty simple: input a desired internal temperature, insert the probe deep into the turkey breast or thigh and close oven on the cable with ChefAlarm’s body on the countertop. When the bird is nearing your desired temperature, it’ll alert you, and alert you again once it’s reached peak doneness. Probe thermometers (ones that you leave in the meat during cooking) are essential for cooking larger meats, as ovens can drop 50 to 75 degrees with a single opening of the oven door.

The ThermoWorks ChefAlarm is a modest $13 off today, and if ordered today should arrive by Turkey Day.

Champion Reverse Weave Classic Hoodie
Save 30%:Since the early 1900s, New York athletic brand Champion has been making some of the best basics on the market. But like many great 20th century brands, it began producing cheaper versions of its iconic sweats overseas in the last decades of the century. Instead of discarding its rich heritage, Champion revived its signature reverse weave fabric for a range of well-made hoodies. The design features a loopback interior, a drawstring hood and a front kangaroo pocket — just the essentials. So if you’re willing to spend a bit more for a better hoodie, head over to End today. This classic style is now 30 percent off and costs just under $70. — John Zientek

The Everlasting Rose from Rosephoria
A fresh bouquet of flowers is a thing of beauty. But it can also be extremely wasteful, considering fresh roses last a week (if you’re lucky). A preserved or everlasting rose is an eco-friendly alternative that can bring much more than just a week of happiness.

The Everlasting Rose from Rosephoria is that smart option that cuts down on waste. It lasts up to a year, and it is also a cost-effective alternative to constant bouquets of flowers: a 9-inch stem costs $150, while the 11-inch costs $190. It doesn’t hurt that they look rather enchanting under a crystal glass dome, which comes with every order.

Use discount code Gear10 for 10 percent off the Rosephoria Everlasting Rose.

Barbour Quilted Jacket
Save 33 Percent Their quality, construction and highly considered details make Barbour products great value at full price, so when they go on sale it’s worth getting excited about. Right now, Nordstrom is offering 33 percent off Barbour’s Bowden quilted jacket, which is cut from a microfiber tech jacket that can move with you — and help you stay warm in some of late fall’s worst inclement weather.— Justin Fenner

Arai Quantum-X Box Helmet
Save 40%: The ‘X’ range of helmets by Arai is one of the brand’s most versatile line. If you’re on the market for an everyday helmet, there’s a good chance the Quantum-X fits the bill. On a regular day, you can expect the Arai Quantum-X Box Helmet to go for over $800, but today it’s on sale at 40 percent off at $500. — Bryan Campbell

Asics GT 2000 6 Sale
Save $40+ Asics is known for its stability prowess. The shoes got me through my first half marathon and half IRONMAN thanks to the support and durability each pair provided. With stability comes some heft, which is why the GT-2000 6 is exciting. The 10.5 ounces is half an ounce than its predecessor, thanks to a loss of some upper fabric and the plastic heel counter. Another bold change in the GT-2000 is the FlightFoam midsole, Asics’ proprietary foam that provides a firm push off which can be helpful on your daily runs. Since the GT 2000 7 arrived earlier this month, version six is now $47 off. Snag a pair today and give your winter runs an added kick. — Meg Lappe

Dyson A10 Humidifier
Save 30% or $150: It’s getting to the time of year where we’re inside most of the time, with the heat piping, and you basically need a humidifier or risk drying out. Enter the Dyson AM10 Humidifier ($499 $350). It pulls double duty as both a humidifier and fan, comes in three color options, and looks as futuristic as Dyson’s much-lauded heating and cooling systems. If we’re being honest, however, as cool as this Dyson humidifier is – it’s also overkill. Dyson overengineered the crap out of this thing, designing it to work ultrasonically, meaning its fan is powerful enough to blow out mist through its oval design without you even noticing. The A10 also cleans the air using Dyson’s Ultraviolet Cleanse technology; the company claims it kills 99.9-percent of bacteria before the hydrated air is blown into the room.

Red Wing Shoes and Boots
Save 63%:It’s a rare occurrence when you can find discounted footwear from Red Wing Heritage. But every so often, Nordstrom Rack offers a range of shoes and boots from the brand at highly-reduced prices. Often, the styles are European or Japanese market styles or factory seconds, and the savings are usually at least half off. Currently, you can save up to 63 percent on shoes and boots from Red Wing Heritage. For the widest range of sizes, check out the derby shoes and engineer boots — they’re all less than $200. — John Zientek

Converse sneakers are classics for a reason: they go with just about anything and anyone can pull them off. That also makes them ripe for adding your own style to them, which you can do through Converse’s customization site.

From the classic Chuck Taylor All Star High to the One Star, you can make just about any Converse sneaker your own. You can start with canvas, leather or suede and the options are aplenty from there. Or you can start with an inspiration from other Converse sneakers and add your own touch. The best part? From Nov. 12-15 ALL custom Converse sneakers are 25 percent off when you use the code CUSTOMCON at checkout.

Lodge Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Dutch Ovens
Save Up to $40: Beyond a chef’s knife, and maybe your trusty cast-iron skillet, a Dutch oven is the most important (read: versatile) tool in the kitchen. It’s great for soups, stews or even frying up some chicken wings. And a good one will last a lifetime if properly cared for. Any chef worth their salt will recommend one of two French brands — Staub or Le Creuset — but examples from either come with the same caveat: they cost hundreds of dollars.

Lodge, on the other hand, offers a couple of budget-friendly alternatives that, today, start at just $19; the 2-, 5- and 7-quart variants are all discounted on Amazon. They may not look as pretty on your stovetop. But they’ll cook chili just fine.

Rev’It Pilot Jacket
Save 36%: It’s no coincidence bomber jackets look just as good today as they did in the ’40s. Whether it’s snug in a P-51 Mustang Cockpit at 400mph or cruising down the open road at 40mph, the jacket’s timeless style knows no bounds. Finding a bomber jacket at a good price can be a bit tricky though — Style, quality and durability don’t come cheap. Luckily, Rev’It’s Pilot Jacket is on sale, today at 36 percent off.

Abrasion-resistant waxed buffalo leather, a detachable thermal liner, fleece collar and Knox Lite CE protection at shoulders and elbows translates to a motorcycle jacket that gives you high-fashion paired genuine protection. If you do find yourself on the open road, the fleece collar can be flipped up and locked too, because when you don’t have the benefit of a glass canopy and a metal fuselage, every bit of protection from the wind helps.
— Bryan Campbell

Miir 64oz Insulated Beer Growler
Save 50%: For beer aficionados, craft breweries are pilgrimage-worthy destinations. Not only can you see how the liquid is made (and potentially enjoy a pour with the head brewer), but it’s often the only place that you can find limited batches of recipes that never get distributed to bars or bottle shops. These beers are sold in one-off can runs or, more commonly, straight from the tap and served in a growler.

But, if you are one of the determined who had to drive hours to find that Holy Grail, glass isn’t the best way to get it back home. There are a variety of insulated versions of the big bottle available from brands that are best known for making thermoses and water bottles. Miir is included in that lot — it makes its growler with double-wall vacuum insulation and medical-grade stainless steel to keep beverages cold for more than 24 hours. With a vessel that steadfast you could, hypothetically, transport your favorite beer around the world. Right now, it’s on sale at Amazon for 50 percent off. — Tanner Bowden

Patagonia Micro Puff Sale
Save 20% Last year we awarded the Patagonia Micro Puff jacket our editor’s choice award for best synthetic down jacket. We were impressed by the weight, water-repellent nylon and use of a unique baffling construction that prevents insulation from bunching. The PlumaFill insulation ensures warmth during some of the coldest days. Right now, you can pick up this jacket and save over $50. Get 20 percent off one item at Backcountry when you enter code TAKE20NOVEMBER. If the micro puff isn’t for you, there are a plethora of other apparel items you can test out and use the code to save.— Meg Lappe

Fellow Stagg EKG Coffee Kettles
Save 15% Originally only available in all-black, the kettles were designed with pour-over coffee brewing in mind. Hyper-accurate water temperature control, fast heating, a built-in timer (pivotal to those serious about their pour-over recipes) and a gooseneck spout that keeps water flow slow and consistent.

The only real problem with the Stagg EKG and the EKG+ (the latter can be controlled via a handy Bluetooth app) is the price — the former retailing at $149, the latter at $199.

Today on Huckberry, that’s less of a problem, as both kettles (along with the rest of Fellow’s products on the site) are on sale for 15 percent off and up.

Woolrich John Rich and Bros. Parkas
Save 20%:In the last week, many parts of the northern United States got a first dusting of snow. Though it may have melted relatively quickly, it’s a heads-up for what’s coming. Take it as a notice to make sure your winter wardrobe is ready to go. And if you find yourself in need of a solid coat for winter’s worst, head over to East Dane today. A couple parkas from Woolrich John Rich and Bros. are currently 20 percent off. The understated design features a mid-length silhouette, a duck down fill and a fur-trimmed hood. Originally designed in the early ‘70s for Alaskan oil pipeline workers, this parka hasn’t changed that much in the past decades and is sure to keep you warm when the first blizzard hits. — John Zientek

Backcountry Sale
Save 20% We’re big fans of Mountain Hardwear’s insulation — the company is constantly innovating to push the limits on windproof and water-resistant down. The StretchDown Hooded jacket is one of our favorite picks from the brand. It’s filled with Q.Shield insulation, a 750-fill water-resistant down. The active fit coat stops at your hips, so there’s plenty of movement if you want to take it skiing, hiking, climbing, snowboarding or another winter activity.

LL Bean Boots
Save 25%: The Bean Boot is a classic for a reason — it prevents that wet feet feeling thanks to an impressive rubber bottom and an instantly recognizable leather upper. Over the years, not much has changed besides the variety of colored leather options (dark or light, and sometimes grey), and the interior lining of Thinsulate. Pick from a boat shoe, 6-inch, 8-inch, or something a bit more Chelsea-boot inspired. The L.L. Bean Boot world is your oyster.

Staub Ceramic 2-Piece Nested Oval Baking Set
Save $35:Since it burst onto the scene in the early 1970s, Staub has become known as one of the premier cookware manufacturers in the world, perhaps most famous for its enameled cast-iron Dutch ovens (which we reviewed here). But the French brand makes a bunch of other great cookware, too — such as these ceramic casserole dishes, which are pretty perfect for everything from mac and cheese to baked ziti. Normally retailing for $84, the Ceramic 2-Piece Nested Oval Baking Set is currently discounted to just $49 at Food52.

LL Bean Packaway down jacket
Save $85: If you haven’t committed to the Nano Puff just yet, and price is the primary factor holding you back, there’s another option: L.L.Bean’s Primaloft Packaway Jacket, which is on sale today for just $75 when you use code FALL25 at checkout from L.L. Bean’s site. I know what you’re thinking — it’s not Patagonia — and I get that. The Patagonia brand has a particular magnetism to it. But, like Patagonia, L.L.Bean is also a heritage outdoor brand that is, objectively, iconic. — Tanner Bowden

Technological innovation comes with great benefits. No surprise there. But it also has side-effects: plastic packaging, the overuse of raw materials and creation of electronic waste. Nimble wants to change that.

Nimble focuses on minimizing environmental impact by bolstering e-waste recycling, using eco-friendly packaging and utilizing better materials in all its devices. The Wireless Pad is a prime example of this philosophy come to life. Compatible with any wireless-charging devices, the Wireless Pad can charge multiple devices at once. It’s covered in a fabric made from organic hemp and recycled plastic bottles; it’s also built with plant-based bioplastics derived from corn and sugarcane. It’s refreshing to see an innovative product that can do better for the environment, too.

Goruck Veterans Day Sale
Save $60+ The founder of Goruck spent years as a Green Beret fine-tuning precisely what he needed in his go ruck. From there the brand expanded to create military-inspired gear, apparel and footwear. The original tactical backpack GR1 started the trend, and now each bag produced by Goruck has a set purpose. The Rucker was built for the Goruck challenge (an intense race) and has Expert Ruck Plates, which won’t break, meaning your laptop is safe from practically everything. Coleman Indoor-Outdoor Air Mattress
Save 50% There are few things more satisfying than a good and timely deal. Today, on Amazon Coleman’s well-reviewed indoor-outdoor air mattress is half off on Amazon today.

The SupportRest is taller than most air mattresses, which makes it easier to get in and out of bed (and at a more familiar height in general). Smartly, the outside ring of the mattress is slightly elevated from the rest of the mattress — this makes rolling off the mattress a lesser likelihood.

This queen-sized mattress, which Coleman suggests for either indoor or outdoor use, does not come with a pump, but one can be added to your order for $17 (look right above the “Add to Cart” button). You could also use a pump you’ve got in the closet from air mattresses past, too.

Frye Lace-up Boots

BOLDR Watches
A field watch should be ready for whatever you can throw at it. And while many watches claim to be field watches, few are truly rugged enough to handle any environment. The Venture Field Watch from BOLDR with its titanium case, however, is a true adventurer’s companion.

Made out of solid aerospace-grade titanium, the slim 38mm case is incredibly strong and extremely light. Water-resistant up to 330 feet, the Venture also sports a Nato strap with a titanium keeper and buckle. And with BOLDR’s lifetime warranty, you certainly won’t have to worry about the watch should something ever happen to it. Sleek and stylish, BOLDR’s Venture Field Watch can go anywhere you want it to and will look good along the way.

Two Great Coffee Makers
Save 20% There are hundreds of drip coffee makers in the world, but only 14 have earned the Specialty Coffee Association’s stamp of approval. The Certified Home Brewer Program is the most rigorous third-party coffee maker certification there is.

Today, two coffee makers from some of coffee’s biggest names — OXO and Breville — are on sale on Amazon, and both are SCA-certified. .

The Breville Precision Brewer ($240) and the OXO Barista Brain ($160) both produce excellent cups of coffee. For the prospective buyer, the Breville machine comes with more brew options and a bit more in the way of customizing your brew, and is a good bit faster to brew (this is thanks to a unique water heating system). The OXO brewer is a bit more compact (measure the space between your counter and cabinets before purchasing either) and straightforward, though, and is likely the better choice for the person who wants the easiest route to great coffee.

Both are at or near the lowest price we’ve ever seen them on Amazon today.

All-Clad Roasting Pan
Save 50% All-Clad, widely regarded as producers of the best stainless steel cookware money can buy, make a roasting pan and rack combo that typically runs $260. Today, it’s half that. All-Clad’s roaster pack is made with the same 18/10 stainless steel as its skillets and saute pans, and therefore is safe to put on the stove to make gravy from the turkey drippings. The rack itself is coated in a non-stick material, a helpful touch intended to keep meat from latching onto the rack.

The Very Warm’s outerwear collection, in particular, is full of timeless items that subtly intertwine art. Backcountry Access Tracker 2 Avalanche Package
Save $91: Backcountry skiing has blown up in recent years, and in response, the equipment that helps skiers and snowboarders do it — from backpacks and jackets to skis and boots — has become lighter and more versatile than ever. But for anyone just beginning to explore beyond ski resort boundaries these items should be secondary purchases. There are three that you need first: a shovel, a probe and a beacon.

It isn’t the most glorious collection of items; unlike a new pair of skis, the hope is that you’ll never have to use these things. They’re safety tools designed to mitigate the risk of the backcountry’s primary danger: avalanches. To wander into avalanche terrain without them is to gamble one’s life, along with those of any other riders who might also be exploring the area. Backcountry Access is one of the most well-recognized names in avalanche safety equipment, and it offers all three tools in one convenient bundle. Right now it’s on sale for 25 percent off for a savings of $91. Pick one up, and then go sign up for an avalanche safety course. — Tanner Bowden

Flylow Mittens and Gloves
Save 20%: Maybe you’ve noticed this at ski hills: the lift operators, instructors, groomers and bartenders — in other words, the locals — can often be seen wearing tan-colored leather gloves with quilted backs. They’re called Kincos, and they cost less than $20 (compared to high-end ski gloves that can run in the hundreds). Skiers and snowboarders wear them until they’re ragged and then head to the hardware store or gas station to pick up another pair.

Kinco gloves will suffice for many, but others who want more durability and more warmth without the price can look to Flylow, a company that used the cheap work glove as a platform and refined it for the mountain. Flylow uses pigskin leather baked with SnoSeal beeswax for waterproofing and a layer of synthetic insulation for additional warmth. Beyond that, its gloves and mittens remain simple, and they aren’t expensive either — right now you can get a pair for just $40. — Tanner Bowden

Dyson Multifloor 2 Vacuum
Save $150 Dyson’s upright vacuums may have gone by the wayside with this year’s release of the wireless V10, but that doesn’t mean they’re not any good. On the contrary, Dyson’s uprights are what made the brand famous in the first place, and one of the best uprights ever made — the Ball Multifloor 2 — just dropped its price significantly.

The Multifloor 2 was already one of the best value buys in Dyson’s lineup before this drop, as it’s significantly easier to maneuver than previous uprights, adjusts the suction head height to accommodate shifting surfaces, is a bit more compact than the original Multifloor and comes HEPA-certified (this is important to your health).

Frye Boots
Save 65%:You’ll get a lot of mileage out of a low-profile ankle boot. The versatile style pairs just as well with slacks and blazer as it does with ripped jeans and a hoodie. So, if you’re looking to pick up a pair that won’t break the bank, head over to Nordstrom Rack. Right now you can save 65 percent on two suede ankle boots from Frye: a Chelsea boot and a harness boot. So for less than what you’d spend on many sneakers, you can pick up a pair of sleek, versatile boots — not bad for a mid-week sale. — John Zientek

Dainese Freccia72 Leather Jacket
Save 40%: Dainese’s racing heritage stretches back decades, so when it goes looking for inspiration for styling new vintage jackets, the well is never dry. Earlier this year Dianese introduced its 72 collection as top-of-the-line vintage pulling designs from the first jackets raced in, back in the ’70s. There’s no shortage of style or protection — there’s removable soft Pro-armor in the shoulders and elbows. And now, you can get the Freccia72 Leather Jacket for nearly half off and save $240. — Bryan Campbell

Reebok CrossFit Nano 7 Sale
Save 60% If you watch the CrossFit Games (basically the Olympics of CrossFit) you’ll see a lot of Reebok Nanos. The sneaker is one of Reebok’s top performing shoes for weightlifting and WODs (workout of the day). Now on its seventh iteration, the Reebok CrossFit Nano currently features a NanoWeave mesh upper to keep feet cool and breezy, even while you’re deadlifting or sprinting across a hot track. The United States Army has a high standard for the gear it supplies to its soldiers, hence “military-grade” being commonly used to describe goods of the highest durability. While most standard-issue goods are incredible for their durability, they don’t always have the best functionality or aesthetic, which is why US Army veteran Chris Elfering created BOND Travel Gear to meet a higher level of aesthetics. “My friends and I wanted gear that was organized, functional and would last forever,” says Elfering.

BOND Travel Gear uses military-grade materials and construction to create modern day carry goods that come with a lifetime guarantee. Pieces like the Attache 13 and the Escapade Pouch are made with rugged nylon to stand up to any travel demands. And the Venture Pouch is a versatile bag that can handle just about anything. What’s more, use the code GEARPATROL at checkout for 10-percent off all items until the end of November.

JBL Everest 100 Elite
Save $170: The JBL Everest 100 Elite ($200 $30) are noise-canceling in-ear headphones that were released in 2016. JBL appears to be phasing out them in favor of the newer JBL Everest 150NC ($200), however, so you really can’t buy “brand new” Everest 100 Elite headphones anywhere. You can, although, get a pair for wicked cheap if you shop refurbished. Both eBay and JBL are selling refurbished models of the Everest 100 Elite headphones for just $30. That’s $170 off what they were going less than two years ago. (Full disclosure – I haven’t tested the Everest 100 Elite headphones, so I can’t speak to exactly how they perform. Judging by other sites, however, the Everest 100 Elite have gotten mixed reviews. Morgan Despot of Major Hi-Fi wrote highly of the JBL Everest 100 Elite: “This sounds like a JBL Everest headphone, they all have similar sonic footprints. For being an in-ear active noise-canceling headphone JBL has engineered a pretty decent piece of technology. With the market also being pretty slim in this area I wouldn’t be surprised to see this being one of the better selling models out there in time.” Also, the average review score on JBL’s product page is 3/5 stars.) |

Chef’s Choice Trizon XV Knife Sharpener
Save 62% It’s pretty much agreed upon that Chef’sChoice knife sharpeners are the best electric sharpeners you can buy for a dollar amount that isn’t physically painful. This consensus is reached from the likes of Cook’s Illustrated,
Wirecutter and a hundred other kitchen gear review sites. The most recommended option — the electric Trizon XV — is deeply discounted on Woot today.

Normally $210, the Trizon XV is more than 60 percent off today — that’s cheaper than it’s ever been on Amazon.

Kershaw Leek Pocket Knife
Save 54%: Kershaw’s Leek pocket knife is unremarkable at first glance. It’s slim, with a three-inch, drop-point blade and a thumb stud for opening, like many everyday task-oriented blades. But not all knives are flash and flourish, and the unsuspecting Leek is innovative, iconic even, for the mechanism inside of it.

That small bit of machinery is called SpeedSafe, and it was developed by Ken Onion, a former US Marine and an industry-renowned knife designer who has created more than 30 patents for blade technologies. SpeedSafe was his remedy for restrictive laws against switchblades; it’s a fast and smooth mechanism that springs to life partway through the action of opening the blade (think of it as semi-automatic). If this sounds familiar, that’s because even though Onion designed the tech for Kershaw, many other companies have since adopted similar variations.

The Leek is great because it’s so simple, and if you’re in need of a solidly-reliable pocket knife for everyday use it’s a good option. Right now you can get a Leek with carbon fiber handles for 54 percent off at Massdrop. — Tanner Bowden

Rev’It Millburn Jacket
Save 42%: There are those who choose to winterize their motorcycles and store them until Spring, which is perfectly normal and fine. Then there are those of us who can’t go that long without riding, layer up and soldier through the colder months. When the latter is the case, getting the right gear is mandatory, but sacrificing style doesn’t have to be. The Rev’It Millburn Jacket is a subtle call back to military-style jackets of old and it’s also entirely ready for some of the worst winter has to throw at you.

The outer shell is a polyester and cotton twill with a Hydratex G-liner for waterproofing and a thermal liner to help keep you extra toasty. You also get decent on-road protection with Seesmart CE-level 1 armor at shoulders and elbows. It’s another stylish motorcycle from Rev’It that packs legitimate impact protection, and today it’s 42% off. — Bryan Campbell

Monoprice Strata Home
Save $27 The Strata Home doesn’t boast the absolute precision and speed-heating of Anova’s option, or the app control of the Joule, but it is more than half the cost of either right now. The Strata Home, which usually retails around $70, is $43 on Monoprice’s site — that’s $20 cheaper than it is on Amazon. Pro tip: you can use ordinary ziplock bags, you don’t actually need a vacuum sealer.

Levi’s Made and Crafted Sweatshirts
Save 30%:In early November, citizens in North America undergo a bombardment of holiday ads. The post-Halloween-pre-Black-Friday weeks are a time for brands and retailers to make forthright pitches for your hard-earned money, and while you may not want to think about the hectic aspects of the holidays quite yet, you can always prepare for the relaxed times. Now at East Dane, you can save 30 percent on the perfect sweatshirts for holiday lounging from Levi’s Made and Crafted. Available in both crew neck and hoodie and zip-up styles, they’re sure to keep you comfy this season, no matter the state of family celebrations. — John Zientek

The North Face Ventrix Jacket
Save $76: Last year, when The North Face revealed Ventrix, its first take on active insulation, we were skeptical. Active insulation, a form of synthetic insulation that’s meant to be worn during activity and is highly breathable, isn’t new — if anything, The North Face was quite late to the game. But Ventrix is different; its fluffy structure is perforated with tiny holes that close and expand as the body moves, allowing for dynamic temperature regulation.

It’s an awesome concept, but again, when we first heard about it, we weren’t sold. But then we tried Ventrix — on hikes and ski tours and just around town — and it worked. It worked really well actually, so we included it on our list of Best Synthetic Down Jackets of 2018. We continue to stand by that choice even more so now that The North Face has expanded the scope of Ventrix into a variety of jackets (and a pair of wild-looking shorts) for 2019.

It’s still the most innovative iteration of active insulation we’ve seen, and right now you can even snag the original jacket in last season’s colors for $76 off. — Tanner Bowden

Hunter Rain Boots
Save 20%:With unpredictable fall weather in the forecast, you’d be well-advised to pick up a pair of waterproof boots if you haven’t done so already. While there are many options on the market, few have the cachet of UK-based Hunter, which has been making functional rubber boots for over 150 years. Founded in 1856 as the North British Rubber Company, Hunter was the go-to for foul-weather footwear for British soldiers during the World Wars and became a civilian staple in the post-war decades. Now at East Dane, you can pick from a range of waterproof boots from the brand for 20 percent off. The styles feature gusseted welting, quick-dry lining, padded insoles and grippy outsoles. Billy Reid Bond Peacoat
Save 29%:In a scene from the 2012 Bond film Skyfall, leading man Daniel Craig stalks an assassin through a high-rise in Shanghai. In the action-packed sequence, Craig wears a dark tailored peacoat, deviating from Bond’s iconic black-tie attire. The peacoat, it turns out, was made by Alabama-based designer Billy Reid and was a personal favorite of Craig’s long before the movie was produced. “Daniel was a customer and had purchased the peacoat, a couple of years before he started filming the movie,” Reid told GQ a few years ago. “And he just loved the coat. And when they started filming, he said, ‘I want to wear this coat in the movie.’”
After Skyfall hit theaters, Billy Reid saw the style surge in popularity, and now, six years later, the wool-blend coat is still a staple of the brand’s outerwear collection. Made in Italy, the double-breasted coat features a tailored fit, horn buttons, a single vent and leather detailing under the collar. Normally $695, the Bond Peacoat is on sale now at East Dane and costs just $487. For a quality coat that’s good enough for the silver screen’s top spy, that’s quite the deal. — John Zientek

Laco Pilot’s Watches
Save $41: The flieger (or pilot’s watch) of WWII origins is a classic horological design, and it remains popular today. Laco, established in 1925, was one of the original manufacturers selected by the German government to produce flieger watches for pilots during the War, and they’re still producing the classic design today, designing and assembling them in Pforzeim, Germany.

Huckberry currently carries three models of Laco flieger watch, two of which, the Augsburg 42 and the Aachen 42, are currently on sale for $369, a $41 savings off the list price of $410. Both feature 42mm matte-finished stainless steel cases with 50m of water resistance, 20mm lug widths, Miyota 821 A automatic movements, scratch and impact-resistant sapphire crystals, transparent case backs, oversized knurled crowns, riveted calf leather straps and lume-filled dials and sword hands.

The differences between the two models is largely in the dials: the Augsburg 42 is an “A-type” dial, which includes a lumed minute track with larger hash marks at the hours, plus Arabic numerals and a triangle with two dots at the 12 o’clock position. The Aachen features a “B-type” dial, which has a minute track with larger hash marks at the hours, but rather than Arabic numerals corresponding to each hour, instead has numerals ascending in 5-minute intervals, plus an inner 12-hour track. — Oren Hartov

Faherty Button-up Shirts
Save 49%:When Mike Faherty started his namesake clothing brand a little over five years ago, his focus was on fabric. After spending nearly seven years at Ralph Lauren, Faherty was well-versed in both the process of making great garments and the importance of telling a story through materials. His own brand — cofounded with his brother — was rooted in the East Coast beach lifestyle, so the fabrics he designed for shirts reflected that. They had a great worn-in handfeel and a sun-kissed color. “When you saw our stuff, it was always going to have that little patina on it, whatever the fabrication may be,” Faherty told us in 2017.

The brand’s shirts are deceptively simple. On the rack, they look like basic plaid button-ups, but once you put them on, they immediately reveal the thought and effort behind the fabric. They’re substantial but soft, like a favorite shirt you’ve worn and washed for years.

If you’re in the market for a new button-up shirt, head over to Nordstorm Rack now. You can currently save 49 percent on button-up shirts from Faherty. Featuring a range of custom-developed fabrics and timeless designs, they’re well worth the price. — John Zientek

Save $100 Today, the matte black color of the best mixer money can buy is $100 off at Sierra Trading Post, a deal usually reserved for marketing holidays and other such things.

Eddie Bauer BC EverTherm Down Jacket
Save $249: Last year, Eddie Bauer released Thindown, an innovative down insulation that arranges feathers in fabric-like sheets rather than loose clusters. Thindown, which debuted in the EverTherm jacket, eliminates the need for down jackets to use baffles and in turn, disposes of stitching and the cold spots it creates. Long story short, the new fluff helped Eddie Bauer make a down jacket that was lighter and warmer.

This year, Eddie Bauer continued the development of Thindown with a new down jacket called the BC EverTherm. The jacket’s evolution goes back further than Thindown though; years ago, Seth Waterfall, a member of Eddie Bauer’s First Ascent athlete development team, approached the group with the idea to make a waterproof, down-filled hardshell jacket and was met with eye rolls. It would be too heavy, and down clusters are useless once they get damp.

Thindown allows the BC EverTherm to clear those hurdles; it’s lighter, and its down sheets are treated with DWR. “It’s as close as I’ve seen to the best ski shell, belay jacket, do-it-all working person’s mountain jacket,” says Waterfall, who played a crucial role in its ultimate design and tested it during climbs of Mt. Rainier and other peaks in the Cascades.

The BC EverTherm was designed with those high-alpine environments in mind, but its functions apply wherever winter weather may vary unpredictably between snow and rain (like, for instance, New York City). And even though the jacket is brand new for this fall, you can get it today for 50 percent off — that’s $250 — when you use the code SPECIAL at checkout. — Tanner Bowden

Lodge 10-Inch Cast-Iron Skillet
Save 33% Lodge’s skillets start at the very economical $15 range. Today, its classic kitchen standard 10-inch skillet is marked down to $10 on Sierra Trading Post. What’s the difference between a cheap Lodge and one of the specialty brands? Cooking-wise, not a ton — most of the boutique skillets have machined surfaces, which are generally superior when it comes to releasing food from the surface (eggs, especially), and some have quirky design features that are useful to some degree (Finex’s handles, Field’s super light weight, etc.).

R.M. Williams Tonal Sydney Boot
Save 44%:In recent years, Australian bootmaker R.M. Williams has expanded its reach across the world. The brand — which was founded in Adelaide in 1932 — received substantial investment from L Capital (a private-equity fund sponsored by LVMH), along with IFM Investors and Hugh Jackman. For a brand that rose to prominence offering riding boots, leather goods and saddles for cattlemen, the significance of this can’t be overstated.
What these global investors saw in the brand was a quintessential Chelsea boot that should be available to a much wider audience. The boots are made from a single-piece leather upper, have a clean silhouette, a simple pull-on style and superior durability. Though the design hasn’t changed much over the past eight decades, the price has risen to something that leans more towards luxury than workwear.
But now for a limited time, you can save 44 percent on a pair of Tonal Sydney Boots at Need Supply. The style has a tan suede upper, a chisel toe and a leather sole. Normally $495, it’s just $278 while supplies last.

Google Home Wi-Fi Mesh System
Save $30: If there are certain areas in your home that don’t get wi-fi – we call them “dead spots” – a mesh-router system is a great and simple solution. There are a number of popular mesh-router systems out there, and they all basically do the same thing, but Google’s own system, called Google Wi-fi, is probably the best. It’s the cheapest, for starters, and it’s also the easiest to set up and monitor. All you need to do is plug one “hub” into your modem and the app walks you through the rest. For those with a small home or an apartment, one hub is probably all you need: it covers an area between 500-1500 square feet. Normally $129, it’s down to just $99 at B&H right now.

Save $50: Not only are Philips Hue the most trusted smart lights you can buy, but they also work with everything: Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. This starter kit, which consists of two lights and a Hue bridge (which is needed for them to work), normally costs $150, but you can buy it for $100 right now on Amazon.

Power Tools and Home Improvement Gear
Save Up to 40% Amazon, for all its might, has yet to conquer some markets of consumerism. In tools and home improvement gear, Home Depot and Lowe’s still reign supreme in price, reliability, customer service, availability and shipping.

Take this Milwaukee Tool workbench setup, which is $699 at Home Depot and over $1,000 on Amazon. Or this Husky tool cabinet, which is $249 at Home Depot and over $450 on Amazon. How about a Makita hammer drill driver combo kit? It’s $235 at Home Depot, $100 more on Amazon. Feel free to compare yourself, you’ll find similar patterns across the board.

You’ll notice the gap between traditional mass hardware store prices and Amazon prices widens even further the larger the product is — tool cabinets, lawnmowers and so on. Also, both offer in-store pick up for online orders, meaning you save even more cash to avoid fat shipping charges on those big-ticket items (and the potential for mailman clumsiness).

This Complicated Orient Watch Costs Less Than a Good Watch Strap

Mechanical complicated watches are cool — we’re probably all in agreement on this one. How could something that gives you a day/night indicator or all kinds of calendar information running on a bunch of gears and wheels and the motion of your wrist not be dope? The one problem is that these types of watches are generally pricey. Like, really pricey, if we’re talking about a complicated watch from a top Swiss brand.

If you’re looking for a complicated watch because you’re into the idea or the mechanics but don’t want to drop a ton of money, you could do much worse than the Orient Sun & Moon V.3 Orient is one of our favorite budget brands, and for good reason: they pack a ton of value into incredibly affordable packages that utilize in-house movements. Are you getting the type of finishing you could expect from a complicated watch from a Top 3 Swiss brand? Of course not. But for this kind of money, you’re getting a hell of a lot of watch.

The Sun & Moon V.3 is available on Amazon right now beginning at $212 for the black-dial version for Prime customers, $222 for the white-dial version, $238 for the gold-tone case version, and $279 for the blue-dial version for Prime customers. All variants include the following functions: 21-jewel automatic in-house movement with 40 hours of power-reserve, stainless steel 42.5mm case with sapphire crystal and display case back, hours/minutes/seconds hands, day and date display, AM/PM indicator in the form of a rotating disc displaying either the sun or moon, and water resistance to 50m. With four dial options available, this is a great entryway for many people into the world of complicated timepieces.

Revtown Jeans
Denim is a tried-and-true classic that hasn’t changed all that much over the years. Improvements have occurred, but most times we know what we’re getting when we put on a pair of jeans. Revtown set out to change this thinking.

A few former Under Armour execs got together with masters of craft at Italian fabric mills and denim wash houses to make jeans that balance the best parts of performance gear — comfort, durability and flexibility — with effortless style. The result is its signature Decade Denim. Made from premium Italian yarn, the denim is then infused with four-way, dynamic stretch and made with the strongest fibers in apparel design today for a pair of jeans that’s unlike any others you’ve worn before.
