TRX Sale
Save $95: When arranged thoughtfully and outfitted appropriately, a home gym can be an entirely capable alternative to a pricey gym membership. It doesn’t have to call for heavy and bulky (not to mention expensive) equipment, either. TRX’s original suspension trainer was created with this type of functional minimalism in mind — it was invented by a Navy SEAL squadron commander named Randy Hetrick who was searching for a way to stay fit during deployment.

Like an as-seen-on-TV contraption, it can be adapted to various workouts and targeted exercises. Unlike that hulking machine, it can be bought in fewer than 12 installments, especially now that it’s $95 off. — Tanner Bowden

Blackyak Modicana Jacket
Save $114: When we first saw Blackyak’s Modicana jacket, we were impressed. The coat is part of the South Korea-based apparel brand’s Midshell collection, which combines properties from mid-layers with those of outer layers to produce versatile pieces that can be worn as either. Blackyak exhibits this idea in the Modicana with a soft, stretchy shell that’s also waterproof yet impressively breathable. The interior is lined with merino wool for warmth and wicking; the cuffs, hem and hood include a form-fitting sticky elastic that promotes movement.

All of these details — it’s clear just by looking at it how much the designers thought about its construction — make the Modicana the type of jacket that can be worn as functionally with other pieces as it can go it alone. Right now, as part of Backcountry’s winter clearance sale, it’s 30 percent off, which amounts to a savings of over $100. The great thing is that while the Modicana is an excellent jacket for winter, it isn’t strictly a winter jacket. — Tanner Bowden

Saxx Gym Shorts Sale

Target Threshold Percale Sheets
Save Up to 25% When you think of buying cheap, you think of tradeoffs — what am I willing to put up with in the name of saving some cash? Target’s Threshold-branded percale sheets are very cheap and make you forget tradeoffs altogether.

Marked down up to 25 percent, these sets don’t show the obvious tells of other cheap sheets — poor stitching, chemical smells, lack of crispness and so on. They’re airy and crisp out of the box. They also don’t flub thread count numbers like many other options in this category, a problem that’s stemmed from the belief that larger thread count numbers equal more comfort. “The [thread count] numbers are often lies to begin with. A higher thread count doesn’t equate to better quality. Stay within the 200- to 300-range and you’ll be good,” co-founder of Authenticity 50, Jimmy McDonald said.

At a solid 300 thread count, they’re also easily the best cheap sheets we’ve ever tested. Search your mattress size and pick from a variety of colors and patterns — they’re all on sale. —Will Price

Seiko 5 Sports SRPB1X Automatic Watch
Save $170: The Seiko 5 Sports SRPB1X Automatic is particularly awesome because at first glance, one couldn’t be blamed for mistaking it for an original reference from the 1970s. With its cushion case, day-date complication (in both English and Spanish) 1/6th second track and wide, polished steel indices, the SRPB1X is brimming with funky ’70s vibes in all the right ways. It’s only the display case back that shows off the automatic Seiko 4R36 movement, a mineral crystal and the oversized 45mm case that give away this watch as belonging to the modern era. — Oren Hartov

Japanese Jackets
Save up to 50%:Founded in 2006, denim-retailer Self Edge is revered by style aficionados. But, for those looking to save a few bucks, Self Edge’s Warehouse Sale currently has a range of detail-oriented Japanese jackets for up to 50 percent off. Pick from brands like Strike Gold, Stevenson Overall Co., Iron Heart and more, but don’t wait — stock is limited. — John Zientek

Foehn Brise Pants
Save 15%: We have a lot of nice things to say about Foehn. Whether it be their Brise pant or their down jacket we reviewed as a part of our best down jackets of 2019 rundown, our writers have been impressed with Foehn’s ability to balance style and functionality. So, naturally, when we saw that our favorite climbing pants were marked down 15% we got a little excited.

Here is the thing with these pants, while they were originally designed for scrambling up rocks, you don’t have to be a dirtbag climber to enjoy the Brise Pant. The four-way stretch pants have articulated knees, a soft interior, a tough water repellent exterior and a tapered leg that ends at an elasticated ankle cuff. So yeah, you can take them to the rock climbing gym or out to go camping, but they look good enough to wear around for the rest of the day. And at 15% off, what’s not to like about that? — J.D. DiGiovanni

Dyson V7 & V8 Vacuums
Save Up To $150: Today at Amazon, you can find two great Dyson vacuums for some of the lowest prices we’ve seen — and they’re not refurbished, they’re brand-spanking-new.

The smaller of the pair, the V7, boasts a max suction power of 100 air watts (Dyson claims it’s the strongest of any handheld vacs) and can run for up to 30 minutes on a single charge. The V7 also comes with a special motorized head attachment for pet hair and loose debris, and the suction hose attachment will help you reach narrow spaces.

As for the larger vacuum, the V8 Absolute Cordless, you’re getting a more powerful (115 air watts) and longer-running (40 minutes) cordless machine. This model was made to deep-clean carpets and with the included motorized cleaning head, you get eight straight minutes of serious carpet-cleaning action. Yes, there are plenty of great corded vacuums out there, and yes, many of them cost less than the V8. But Dyson has a hardcore following, and this machine is part of the reason why. — Andy Frakes

Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket
Save 30%: Since it came out in the fall of 2017, Patagonia’s Micro Puff Jacket has been our choice for the best synthetic insulated jacket. Simply put, it strikes the perfect balance of warmth and weight (it’s the lightest insulated jacket that Patagonia has made to date). The secret to its innovation is a new type of insulation called PlumaFill that’s made up of down-mimicking polyester fibers that are secured together in one continuous, fluffy line, which zig-zags around beneath its ripstop nylon shell.

That Patagonia has released new variations of the Micro Puff by no means makes the jacket obsolete. If anything, it’s further verification that it, and it’s fluffy filling, work pretty damn well. Right now the Micro Puff is 30 percent off at Backcountry — a savings of $75. — Tanner Bowden

They also created a chukka and boot, based on the original model, to compliment the low-profile oxford.

Now at Nordstrom Rack, you can save 50 percent on a pair of ridiculously sharp Postman Boots. The American-made style features a 6” black leather upper from the S.B. Rain Jackets Sale
Save up to 50%The rainy season isn’t upon us just yet, but it’s coming. Now is the time to think about your rain jacket, not after all the snowflakes transform into globs of H2O. Beats Powerbeats3 Wireless
Save $110

Last year, we stacked the Powerbeats3 against eleven other pairs of wireless and true wireless sport headphones from brands like Jabra, Sony and Bose, and the Beats held out. The list of pros includes a super-comfortable fit, fast and seamless Bluetooth pairing, a 12-hour battery life and bass-pumping sound. Vitamix Explorian Blender (Refurbished)
Save $140 Vitamix is to blending what Dyson is to vacuuming — the ultimate home upgrade that can be hard to pull the “buy now” trigger on. Vitamix’s E310 model, or Explorian, was built to combat that. Bought new, it’s $100 cheaper than Vitamix’s classic 5200 blenders. Today, this refurbished model is $300 cheaper.

From a performance perspective, the Explorian blender goes toe-to-toe with the 5200 — same ultra-sharp aluminum blades, same simple control panel, same power output. It sheds cost (and weight) by using plastic for the body instead of the 5200’s sturdier metal casing (plus, its blend container is slightly shorter). If you’re unsure why the hell anyone would want or need a blender this nice, Vitamix keeps a stockpile of recipes that are meant for performance blenders to guide you (don’t sleep on the nut butters).

If you’re not interested in manufacturer refurbs or you’d rather go straight to the top, the 5200 is also severely discounted — down from $450 to $300. —Will Price

Huckberry Knives Sale
Save up to 30%I still remember when my dad gave me my first pocket knife. More specifically, I remember when he gave my brother his first pocket knife, an event that made me realize I wanted one too and kicked off months of advocating that I was old enough and responsible enough to wield a blade. (For the record, my brother shortened his finger by a quarter-inch with his knife; I remained injury free.) Even though both of our first knives were cheap and basic, I’ve kept mine over the years and consider it as an object that carries high personal value. That’s one of the great things about pocket knives — even the cheap ones can become valuable.

Right now Huckberry is selling a variety of blades for as much as 30-percent off. Some are high-end, while others are more simple. — Tanner Bowden

Kershaw Chive Pocket Knife
Save 33%: Tiny pocket knives have proven over and again that in everyday scenarios, size doesn’t count for everything. Kershaw’s Chive demonstrates the point perfectly. The Chive is the smallest in a line of veggie-themed blades designed by renowned knifemaker Ken Onion; the biggest of the group is the Leek with a three-inch blade, and then there’s the middle child Scallion at 2.4 inches. Kershaw knocks another half inch off to bring the Chive’s blade down to 1.9 inches.

Over time, Kershaw has released the Chive in various builds, but right now a version with a Damascus steel blade is on sale at Massdrop for 33 percent off. — Tanner Bowden

Paraboot’s footwear is rarely on sale, and though the discounted styles are still expensive, they are made to stand up to years of wear. So if you’re in the market for some new boots, give this heritage French brand a serious look. — John Zientek

Bulouva Lunar Chronograph
Save $153: While the Boluva Lunar Pilot Chronograph may not be the “Moon Watch” (that honor goes to the ever-popular hand-winding Omega Speedmaster), an earlier reference of this watch did indeed go to the moon. When Dave Scott’s NASA-issued Speedy broke during the Apollo 15 mission in 1971, his Bulova kept perfect time throughout that mission and lived on to fetch over $1.6 million at auction in 2015. The brand’s Accutron technology, memorialized in one of my favorite Mad Men product pitches of all time, was also used in the instrument panels of NASA spacecraft flown through the 1960s and 70s. It goes without saying that Accutron tech has earned its keep, even in a world where mechanical timekeeping gets the lion’s share of attention.

While the purists out there might balk at the Ultra High-Frequency quartz movement in place of a hand-winding or automatic variant, the presence of a battery is more than justified by the watch’s incredible accuracy. You also get cool paddle pushers, a commemorative engraved case back and a sapphire crystal, which lends some modern tech to this old-school timepiece. With 50m of water resistance and a sleek steel bracelet, this 45mm chrono is an awesome everyday tool watch, and a throwback to an era of genuine space-exploring badass-ery.

$309 is a savings of more than 45% off Bulova’s MSRP of $675. If you’d prefer the watch on a sleek black strap, it’s also available at a deep discount for $325. — Andy Frakes

Seiko SRPB3X “Baby Monster” Automatic Dive Watches

This model is dubbed the “Baby Monster” in reference to the popular cult-classic Seiko Monster dive watch, but it’s not at all meant for baby-sized wrists at a significant 44mm wide. Water-resistant to 100m, it should handle normal swimming and whatever else you can throw at it just fine. — Zen Love

Barbour x Engineered Garments Jackets
Save 35%:British outerwear brand Barbour has been making durable weather-resistant jackets since 1894 and has a reputation for quality. Recently, the brand teamed up with NYC-based label Engineered Garments to reimagine a number of classic silhouettes. The collab pieces — a bomber jacket, a cropped jacket and a smock — are made in England from Barbour’s signature 4-ounce waxed canvas and feature raglan-sleeve construction. And now at End, they’re discounted by 35 percent and are priced to sell. If you need a lightweight layer to keep you dry this spring, these styles are definitely worth a look. — John Zientek

Lululemon Metal Vent Tech Surge Short Sleeve Shirt
Save up to 44%: Everything that makes a good workout tee is present in Lululemon’s Metal Vent Tech Surge Short Sleeve, which is currently on sale for up to 44 percent off depending on color and size. The shirt gets the fine details just right: it includes barely visible mesh holes to increase breathability, it repositions seams away from potential chafing zones and its tag is easily torn off (all Lululemon tags are).

Most importantly though, the t-shirt’s fabric is neither scratchy like merino wool nor plastic-y like other synthetics. And yet, it packs the benefits of both: it wicks away moisture, it resists odor buildup (and its heathered colors don’t scream performance). I wear it primarily for running — I own three, which I kept in heavy rotation while training for a recent marathon — but I after a handful of guides who work on Mt. Rainier told me it was their favorite t-shirt for climbing I’ve begun to wear it hiking and skiing too. — Tanner Bowden

Jaybird X4 Wireless Earbuds
Save $30: Jaybird makes some of the most trusted sports headphones on the market. Case in point: the X4 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, released in August as the update to the well-received X3s. Whereas the X3s were sweat-resistant, however, the X4s are IPX7-rated, meaning they’re fully waterproof and can survive a 30-minute spell in water. According to the company’s CEO, they’re perfect for running and more intense activities, “from trail runs and mountain bike rides to summit scrambles and deep powder days.” Though they normally retail for $130, you can currently score them for $100 on Amazon — good for their lowest price ever.

Sony WH1000XM3 Noise-Canceling Headphones
Save $70: The Sony WH1000XM3 are the best noise-canceling headphones you can buy. This past December we gave them a 2018 GP100 award, which we give to the 100 best products of the year. Here’s what you need to know: Sony released the WH1000XM3 this past fall and they’re better than the Sony WH1000XM2 in every way. They sound better. They’re better at noise-cancellation. They have modern perks, like USB-C charging. And they still cost $350. Again, these are the best noise-canceling headphones you can buy. Period. And now you can get them for a discount. A big discount. Both Amazon and eBay is selling refurbished models for $280. Both black and silver models are available at this discount. |

Patagonia Sale
Save 50% Just in time for President’s weekend, Patagonia is looking to clean house on a huge amount of gear. Now through February 28th, you can get 50 percent off all past season Patagonia products — the micro puff, black hole backpacks, Snap-T and more. — Meg Lappe

Evergoods Backpacks
Save 20%: Evergoods first two backpacks, the Civic Panel Loader and the Mountain Panel Loader — or CPL24 and MPL30 for short — are on sale at Huckberry for 20 percent off right now. There are two reasons why you should take note of this.

Firstly, Evergoods is the brand to watch right now when it comes to backpacks. The small company is lead by Jack Barely, one of the original co-founders of GORUCK, and Kevin Dee, a former product engineer at Patagonia. Their combined expertise produces backpacks that are truly multi-purpose; the CPL24 works as an ideal around-town pack but has features, like a hydration sleeve and ports, that make it suitable for hiking too. On the other side, the MPL30 has an integrated hipbelt and lightweight aluminum frame for supporting heavier loads on the trail but includes a sleeve that can accommodate a laptop around town.

Secondly, Evergoods is still small, and its backpacks can sell out. To find them on sale is rarer still. If you are considering one of these two bags, how you plan on using it will guide your choice. If you need a hiking bag, go with the MPL30. If it’s an everyday pack that you’re looking for the CPL24 is the one. We’ve spent a lot of time with this bag in particular, and consider it to be the best all-purpose backpack available. Period. “This bag is simple, durable and understated,” notes one of our editors. “It’s got GoRuck vibes without screaming mil-spec intensity.” Simply put, nobody else is making a backpack like this. — Tanner Bowden

That Patagonia has released variations of the Micro Puff by no means makes the jacket obsolete. If anything, it’s further verification that it, and it’s fluffy filling, work pretty damn well. Right now the Micro Puff is 30 percent off at Backcountry — a savings of $75. — Tanner Bowden

I’ve taken to keeping a stash of it in my apartment for those weeks that I forget to go grocery shopping and those nights when cooking seems overly tedious. My favorites: the black bean soup with the addition of rice and avocado and a tin of the lemon herb mussels smeared onto a crusty baguette. And a can of Long Root Ale (beer is good too).

Mountain Hardwear Outdoor Gear Sale
Save Up To 35%: Whether you’re after a full-surround mummy bag or something a little more casual for your shoulder-season camping and backpacking jaunts — or if you just want to start thinking summer now — there’s an option on Mountain Hardwear’s site that’s discounted today. — Andy Frakes

Bodum French Press
Save 33%: Of the many ways to make coffee, the French press is undeniably the simplest. Unlike brewing pour-over or in a drip machine, the process is the same across the spectrum of French presses: measure beans, grind beans, dump grounds in carafe, pour hot water over beans, push lever down, wait. Because of this, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to invest in pricier presses (unless you understand you’re paying for aesthetic and not performance).

Instead, go cheap — Bodum’s one-liter plastic French press is not a looker, but it does its job just as well as brewers two, three and four times the price. The Bodum Brazil French Press is on sale for all of $10 today on Amazon. —Will Price

Available in both 36mm and 43mm case sizes, a total of nine variants offer choices of dial color and straps or bracelets. — Zen Love

Rubbermaid Brute Storage Bins
Save up to 56%: When you live in a 500-square-foot apartment, a shortage of space forces you to get creative. The problem escalates when you’re a runner/biker/hiker/backpacker/skier — kitchen cabinets are for cookware and coffee grinders, not down jackets — to the point of potentially damaging interpersonal relationships between you and those who might be sharing the space. Even when closets are in abundance, outdoor gear storage should be carefully considered; you’re going to need some bins.

It’s hard to tell by exactly how much the bins are marked down. On some websites, they cost as much as $50, and the smaller 14-gallon version is more expensive at the moment. In any case, it’s one of the best bins available for taking your outdoor gear storage up a notch, and it costs just $23 at Amazon and $22 at Lowes. — Tanner Bowden

The Micro Puff has been such a success that Patagonia used it as the base for the Micro Puff Storm, a waterproof version of the jacket that came out in Fall 2018. Later this year Patagonia will also release the Macro Puff, a heavier and warmer puffy jacket that will use a heartier helping of PlumaFill (and will likely be in as high demand as the Micro Puff).

Lodge Dutch Oven
Save 47% Enameled Dutch ovens are good at cooking almost anything. They retain heat like a cast-iron skillet but don’t require seasoning and aren’t bothered by highly acidic foods. They’re also big enough to work as a decent chili pot, braise short ribs or make homemade stock. This, coupled with good looks, makes for a pot that never has to leave the stove (except for cleaning).

Lodge’s 4.5-quart enameled Dutch oven isn’t the pinnacle of Dutch oven design, but it’s remarkably affordable and will do the job. It’s 47 percent off on Sierra Trading Post today, bringing its price down to $29. —Will Price

TUESDAY, February 5

Mystery Ranch Urban Assault Backpack
Save 28%: The Urban Assault pack (currently 28 percent off at Huckberry in select colorways) utilizes the same technical design features that make Mystery Ranch bags suitable for the most rigorous users but includes features that make it ideal for the urban inhabitant. It also employs a fixed-harness frame system, which allows the commuter-friendly pack to perform like a high-end expedition backpack. — Tanner Bowden

Saint Laurent Sunglasses
Save up to 58%:Dominated by the same aviator- and Wayfarer-inspired designs, the sunglasses market can seem a bit uninspired at times. If you’ve been yearning for a frame that breaks from the status quo, consider a style from Saint Laurent. The Parisian fashion house offers a range of distinct sunglasses, all crafted in Italy. From a combination acetate-metal Clubmaster style to a chunky Havana-acetate square silhouette, these well-made shades are anything but bland. And now at Nordstrom Rack, some of these sunglasses are up to 58 percent off while supplies last — that’s savings of $271. — John Zientek

Instant Pot Lux
Save $30 Of the many Instant Pot variations, the Lux is probably the least fussy. It does the Instant Pot things that folks go on and on about their Instant Pots doing — pressure cooking, rice cooking and slow cooking — but isn’t programmable and doesn’t give you a plethora of power options or customization features. It keeps the virtues of the astronaut helmet-looking kitchen appliance that took over the web intact while offering much less space to screw up dinner by adjusting one too many dials.

Today on Ebay, the 6-quart Instant Pot Lux is just $65 — nearly as cheap as we’ve ever seen it. —Will Price

Apple HomePod
Save $70: Apple released the HomePod ($350 $280), its first smart speaker, a little over a year ago and since then, the HomePod stayed pretty at the same price ($350). We haven’t seen it on sale that many times. That said, a HomePod sale isn’t unheard of. Right now, for example, you can nab a HomePod — in either white or space gray — for $280 at Best Buy, which is $70 off. It’s a pretty excellent deal considering that the HomePod is, in our opinion, the best sounding smart speaker you can buy.

Adidas Ultraboost Sale
Save 30%Here at Gear Patrol, the Boost sneakers we’ve tested have been some of our favorites — including the Solarboost — one of our best new running shoes of 2019. The announcement of the Adidas Ultraboost 19 proved to be extremely exciting and pushed the original Ultraboost to go on sale quite frequently this year, and who knows how long that will last. It’s responsive, so each footfall is soft yet fast. You can’t go wrong with a Boost purchase. — Meg Lappe

WEDNESDAY, February 6

Glerups Slippers
Save 20%: That conception you have about slippers, that they’re fluffy, indoors-only shoes; it’s wrong. Not entirely, (most slippers likely fit that description), but some examples refute it, elevating the slipper to something that’s not only cozy but practical too.

Glerups is perhaps the best example. They’re made in Denmark with a mix of merino and Gotland wool that’s felted, so it has a hardier texture that’s plush without looking like it. They’re warm too, and the family that came up with them was thoughtful enough to make a version with a rubber sole that can handle grass, dirt and snow should you want to wear them beyond the limits of the front door (my pair has become my après ski shoe of choice).

Rubber-soled Glerups slippers are currently on sale at Huckberry for 20 percent off in various colors and in shoe and ankle boot heights. — Tanner Bowden

Jabra Elite Active 65t
Save $65 (34%): Jabra’s Elite Active 65t are essentially sweatproof versions of the Jabra Elite 65t ($170) wireless earbuds.
