The coat is part of the South Korea-based apparel brand’s Midshell collection, which combines properties from mid-layers with those of outer layers to produce versatile pieces that can be worn as either. Save Up to 25% When you think of buying cheap, you think of tradeoffs — what am I willing to put up with in the name of saving some cash? Target’s Threshold-branded percale sheets are very cheap and make you forget tradeoffs altogether.

Marked down up to 25 percent, these sets don’t show the obvious tells of other cheap sheets — poor stitching, chemical smells, lack of crispness and so on. They’re airy and crisp out of the box. They also don’t flub thread count numbers like many other options in this category, a problem that’s stemmed from the belief that larger thread count numbers equal more comfort. “The [thread count] numbers are often lies to begin with. Save 50%:In 1954, Minnesota-based Red Wing Shoes built a sturdy black oxford shoe for the Postal Service. The style No. 101 featured a smooth black upper, moldable insole and durable outsole, and was designed to stand up to daily use on mail routes. Red Wing Heritage recently revived the style, updating it with a black cushion crepe wedge sole. They also created a chukka and boot, based on the original model, to compliment the low-profile oxford.

Now at Nordstrom Rack, you can save 50 percent on a pair of ridiculously sharp Postman Boots. The American-made style features a 6” black leather upper from the S.B. Foot Tanning Company and a black wedge sole. The toe box is distinctly different than other Red Wing boots, making it a versatile option to dress up or dress down. Vitamix Explorian Blender (Refurbished)
Save $140 Vitamix is to blending what Dyson is to vacuuming — the ultimate home upgrade that can be hard to pull the “buy now” trigger on. Vitamix’s E310 model, or Explorian, was built to combat that. Bought new, it’s $100 cheaper than Vitamix’s classic 5200 blenders. Today, this refurbished model is $300 cheaper.

From a performance perspective, the Explorian blender goes toe-to-toe with the 5200 — same ultra-sharp aluminum blades, same simple control panel, same power output. It sheds cost (and weight) by using plastic for the body instead of the 5200’s sturdier metal casing (plus, its blend container is slightly shorter). If you’re unsure why the hell anyone would want or need a blender this nice, Vitamix keeps a stockpile of recipes that are meant for performance blenders to guide you (don’t sleep on the nut butters).

Save up to 30%I still remember when my dad gave me my first pocket knife. More specifically, I remember when he gave my brother his first pocket knife, an event that made me realize I wanted one too and kicked off months of advocating that I was old enough and responsible enough to wield a blade. Kershaw Chive Pocket Knife
Save 33%: Tiny pocket knives have proven over and again that in everyday scenarios, size doesn’t count for everything. Kershaw’s Chive demonstrates the point perfectly. The Chive is the smallest in a line of veggie-themed blades designed by renowned knifemaker Ken Onion; the biggest of the group is the Leek with a three-inch blade, and then there’s the middle child Scallion at 2.4 inches. Kershaw knocks another half inch off to bring the Chive’s blade down to 1.9 inches.

Save $153: While the Boluva Lunar Pilot Chronograph may not be the “Moon Watch” (that honor goes to the ever-popular hand-winding Omega Speedmaster), an earlier reference of this watch did indeed go to the moon. When Dave Scott’s NASA-issued Speedy broke during the Apollo 15 mission in 1971, his Bulova kept perfect time throughout that mission and lived on to fetch over $1.6 million at auction in 2015. The brand’s Accutron technology, memorialized in one of my favorite Mad Men product pitches of all time, was also used in the instrument panels of NASA spacecraft flown through the 1960s and 70s. Rubbermaid Brute Storage Bins
Save up to 56%: When you live in a 500-square-foot apartment, a shortage of space forces you to get creative. The problem escalates when you’re a runner/biker/hiker/backpacker/skier — kitchen cabinets are for cookware and coffee grinders, not down jackets — to the point of potentially damaging interpersonal relationships between you and those who might be sharing the space. Even when closets are in abundance, outdoor gear storage should be carefully considered; you’re going to need some bins.

Instant Pot Lux
Save $30 Of the many Instant Pot variations, the Lux is probably the least fussy. It does the Instant Pot things that folks go on and on about their Instant Pots doing — pressure cooking, rice cooking and slow cooking — but isn’t programmable and doesn’t give you a plethora of power options or customization features. It keeps the virtues of the astronaut helmet-looking kitchen appliance that took over the web intact while offering much less space to screw up dinner by adjusting one too many dials.

Save $70: Apple released the HomePod ($350 $280), its first smart speaker, a little over a year ago and since then, the HomePod stayed pretty at the same price ($350). We haven’t seen it on sale that many times. That said, a HomePod sale isn’t unheard of. Right now, for example, you can nab a HomePod — in either white or space gray — for $280 at Best Buy, which is $70 off. It’s a pretty excellent deal considering that the HomePod is, in our opinion, the best sounding smart speaker you can buy.

Adidas Ultraboost Sale
Save 30%Here at Gear Patrol, the Boost sneakers we’ve tested have been some of our favorites — including the Solarboost — one of our best new running shoes of 2019. The announcement of the Adidas Ultraboost 19 proved to be extremely exciting and pushed the original Ultraboost to go on sale quite frequently this year, and who knows how long that will last. Glerups Slippers
Save 20%: That conception you have about slippers, that they’re fluffy, indoors-only shoes; it’s wrong. Not entirely, (most slippers likely fit that description), but some examples refute it, elevating the slipper to something that’s not only cozy but practical too.

Glerups is perhaps the best example. They’re made in Denmark with a mix of merino and Gotland wool that’s felted, so it has a hardier texture that’s plush without looking like it. They’re warm too, and the family that came up with them was thoughtful enough to make a version with a rubber sole that can handle grass, dirt and snow should you want to wear them beyond the limits of the front door (my pair has become my après ski shoe of choice).
