Aston’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DBS Superleggera Honors the Movie

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary

Aston Martin has launched a special edition of its DBS Superleggera that honors the famous James Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. It’s been 50 years since the movie came out. The car is aptly named On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DBS Superleggera. There should be no confusion. The car has numerous exterior and interior elements that are unique.

It comes in a beautiful Olive Green paint which echos the car used in the film. The model also gets diamond turned forged wheels, a carbon fiber splitter, carbon fiber aero blades, and a special blacked-out grille. The interior of the car is fitted with beautiful black leather with red contrast stitching. It also gets red accents on the dash, doors, center console, and seats. The car also gets a special Bang & Olufsen BeoSound system. The powertrain was not touched.

Aston Martin’s CCO, Marek Reichman, said the Olive Green paint helps give the DBS Superleggera a subtlety that the car doesn’t have otherwise. He also expressed his excitement at Aston putting out this car. “Creating a James Bond special edition is always an exciting challenge as we work to create a car that embodies the legend of James Bond, and the original movie car.”

Aston will build only 50 of the cars. The price for this level of luxury, performance, and cinematic tie-in will not come cheap. The company set the price at $381,556.

Aston Martin and TAG Heuer Team Up on Special Edition DBS Superleggera

Dark, Sinister, and Beautiful

When two high-end brands team up, you can bet that the results will be pretty wonderful, and that’s exactly the case with the TAG Heuer and Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. Luxury cars and luxury watches go and in hand. These two companies know this all too well.

The new DBS Superleggera TAG Heuer Edition is a special, bespoke model that will also come with a limited-edition TAG Heuer watch with its purchase. The watch will likely be a Carrera Heuer 01 Aston Martin Special Edition or a similar model. The pair up of the two companies makes perfect sense. Both are involved in F1 racing, both companies appeal to the same customer base, and both offer beautiful, yet expensive machines.

The DBS Superleggera TAG Heuer Edition is painted in stunning Monaco Black. Carbon fiber accents give the model a little extra exterior visual flair and TAG Heuer logos feature on the fenders. The interior has a similar color scheme, with black interior, red contrast stitching, and TAG Heuer logos scattered throughout.

Under the DBS Superleggera’s goodly, muscular-looking hood lurks a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V-12. It produces a strong 715 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough thrust to launch the car from a standstill to 60 mph in a spritely 3.4 seconds. Need to go super fast in your DBS Superleggera? No worries. The car’s top speed is a mighty 211 mph.

Aston and TAG Heuer only plan to make 50 examples of the beastly, luxurious machine. The price of this super-limited-edition car has not been announced. Aston and TAG Heuer also haven’t said whether or not the car will come to the U.S. Until we get more information, keep our fingers crossed and look at the photos below and the videos above.

British Brute: Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

A new supercar was released by Aston Martin that will go head-to-head against the Italians. Dubbed the ‘Superleggera’, the super light DBS Superleggera is made out of carbon fiber and aluminium.

It will have a 715 horsepower turbocharged V12 engine, that will easily eat up asphalt in both style and comfort. At over $300,000 the new Aston Martin is no slouch, and has big shoes to fill: it’s replacing the Vanquish S. It’s reported to have an eight-speed automatic transmission, a mechanical limited-slip differential, and torque vectoring. All this technology is adjustable and will give you 0-60 in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 211mph.

Aston Martin has always been known as a ‘GT’ car so it’s not a full race-spec car. It can still crush the competition, by all means. This tuned British beast will make sure you know that the ol’ chap is back in town.

We personally like that chiselled front and that backend will make you do double-takes. We can’t wait to see this on a track and rip around!
