Today in Gear: An Excellent Collection of Insulated Jackets, a Porsche Collaboration with Boeing & More

Today in Gear is our daily roundup of all the latest product announcements, drops and deals. Comments or concerns? We’d love to hear from you at tig@gearpatrol.com.

There’s no question that summer is a great time for climbing, hiking and other outdoor activities. However, we would argue that you can do all those things just as well in cooler temperatures, with the added benefit of wearing a technically-advanced jacket and avoiding the crowds. To keep you warm and dry through the changing seasons, Backcountry has assembled a collection of insulated jackets like the Patagonia Stretch Nano Storm, The North Face Jester, Filson Ultralight and more. Or if you need something lighter, the collection also features jackets like the Arc’teryx Proton, ideal for warmer climates. Plus, you can take 20% off your first purchase with the code GEARPATROL20 — so snag one and keep the adventures going through the cold.

Bonavita Coffee Maker
Save $88: Despite its name, the Connoisseur isn’t snooty. It features the same Gold Cup brewing standards as Bonavita’s older brewers — a one-button off-on interface and a flat bottom filter basket. Its most notable change is the basket-to-carafe connection. Instead of the basket resting atop the carafe during brewing (meaning you need to put the used grounds and filter basket on the counter or in the sink to pour coffee), it fits into a slot hanging over the pot. It’s a small change, and one we noted as one of the few issues with its predecessor. Today on Drop, the Connoisseur is marked down $88 — good for the lowest price we’ve seen. — Will Price Save 40% On This Exquisite Porsche 356 Speedster Model
Save 40%: Purists love the Porsche 356 Speedster, the stunning precursor to the iconic 911. But buying a genuine article can get ridiculously expensive; even dubiously pedigreed rare 356s can fetch seven-figure prices at auctions. So can we interest you in an exquisite 356 model instead? Right now, Drop is having a warehouse sale on Porsche diecast models made by Autoart. The 356 Speedster is 1/18th scale with steerable wheels, rubber tires and a unique rear-mounted engine. It’s available for just $91.50, which is 40 percent off the normal price. Given the prices at the official Porsche shop, buying anything Porsche-related beyond a coffee mug at a reasonable cost can be considered an absolute steal. — Tyler Duffy

Adidas Ultraboost 19 Shoes
Save $54: The popular Adidas Ultraboost normally goes for $180 but thanks to a limited sale, you can spend just $126 on a brand-new pair. These best-selling sneakers are responsive, soft and fast, great for running but also for wearing at the gym. We generally steer clear of sales where the sizing is limited, but that is not the case here —more than a dozen sizes are available at the sale price. You just can’t be too picky about color; the sale only applies to 10 of the 26 colorways. Click around for the deals and you are sure to find something you love.— Meg Lappe

Breedlove Pursuit Exotic Concert CE Acoustic Guitar
Save 20%:Now at Guitar Center, you can pick up a Breedlove Pursuit Exotic Concert CE acoustic guitar for 20 percent off. That’s savings of $150. Designed for players, this guitar includes top-tier L.R. Baggs EAS electronics and a pinless bridge for easy string changes. And, the hand-rubbed, semi-gloss neck has a slim profile that is appropriate for many hand sizes. To top it off, the guitar features subtle neck inlays, a simple rosette and a tasteful binding. — John Zientek

Terrex Agravic
Save $40:If you’re looking to pick up some limited-edition trail runners on sale, head over to Need Supply Co. today. Currently, the Terrex Agravic sneakers are $40 and cost just $160. The styles are made in collaboration with Japanese brand White Mountaineering and feature low-profile uppers and treaded outsoles. The Speed + model has a mesh upper, sock-like collar, lace-up front and contrast details. If you prefer no laces, pick up the BOA version, which also includes a ripstop upper, Boost midsole and synthetic overlays. Both styles are available in sizes 8 to 12 — limit one pair per customer. — John Zientek

Military-Grade M-65 Jackets
Save almost 60%:Firmly seated within the canon of outerwear classics, the M-65 jacket was built for the toughest terrain. Whether your personal terrain is an urban jungle or an actual jungle, the M-65 can take on either. Rothco has been a top supplier of goods to the military since 1953 and you can have their military spec masterpiece for a steal. Available in a variety of colors and patterns, outfitted with water-repellent fabric, four snap patch pockets, a concealable hood and a removable liner, you can have two of these iconic pieces of outerwear for less than price of one over at Drop. An M-65 for nearly 60 percent off? Sign me up. — Gerald Ortiz

Filson Duffle Bag
Save 46%:You can’t go wrong with an American-made Filson bag. They have time-tested designs that are made to be used and abused. There’s nothing fancy about them, but that’s just the point. They feature rugged twill, bridle leather, brass hardware — a simple combination of materials that will stand up to years of service. Over at Nordstrom Rack, you can save $160 on its Small Duffle Bag. Sure, it’s still an investment. But it’s an investment that’s worth it. — John Zientek

Master & Dynamic MW07 Wireless Earbuds
Save $120: Right now, you can get a pretty awesome deal on some of the prettiest wireless earbuds. That’s because eBay is selling Master & Dynamic’s MW07, the company’s first true wireless earphones, for $179 – that’s $120 off. The MW07 are obviously expensive compared to most other true wireless earbuds, but that’s because, one, they sound better, and two, they’re made of really premium materials: stainless steel and acetate. Make no mistake, these are nice earbuds. The catch with this eBay deal is that Master & Dynamic sells its MW07 earbuds in a number of different colored acetates, but eBay’s discount only applies to the white marble acetate models. — Tucker Bowe |

LG C8 65-Inch OLED TV (2018)
DEAL: LG’s 2018 C8 series of 4K OLED TVs are expensive. When they were released in spring 2018, a 65-inch model was going for $3,500. Over a year later, however, that price has dropped to around $2,597 — that’s over $1,000 off. But today Drop is running a deal on a brand-new C8 for $1,875 – that’s nearly half off. Yes, it’s still expensive, but it’s not that bad considering that we’re talking about LG’s top-of-the-line 4K OLED TV. And LG makes the best 4K OLED TVs. As far as breaking down the television itself — well, it’s fantastic. It boasts phenomenal picture quality and delivers perfect black levels. The design of the TV is beautiful. It supports both Dolby Vision and HDR 10. And it handles motion very well, too, making it ideal for watching sports or action movies. Basically, everything you’d want in a 4K TV, the LG C8 has it. — Tucker Bowe |

Right now, however, is the time to upgrade your head protection if there ever was one. Right now over at Revzilla, there’s an insane sale on top-of-the-line motorcycle helmets. Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer Down Jacket
Save $145: We’ve often said that the best time to score amazing cold-weather apparel deals is when it’s warm out. However, once in a while, an amazing sale surfaces even as the temps are dropping. The Ghost Whisperer is a top-of-the-line item, an ultralight option that’s perfect for climbing, hiking, backpacking and other outdoor adventures. This jacket features easy-packing 800-fill down, ripstop fabric and a hydrophobic treatment to keep you warm and dry should the skies open up. Giro Aether MIPS Helmet
Save $45: For those in the know in the helmet world, MIPS is a pretty big deal. Short for “multi-directional impact protection system,” the label applies to helmets featuring a plastic liner that acts as a slip plane to redistribute the sort of rolling impacts that characterize many bike accidents. The next evolution is MIPS Spherical, where two layers of foam on the outside of the helmet mimic the sliding effect without the sacrifices in fit and ventilation that traditional MIPS brings.
All of which is to say, MIPS Spherical is pretty cutting-edge protective stuff, usually only available at a premium, such as the $370 cost of a Giro Aether MIPS Helmet. The favorite of a number of Tour de France riders, the helmet also boasts a laser-cut shell seamlessly fused to the EPS foam, Roc Loc 5 Plus easy adjustability and 11 deep vents for optimal ventilation. Right now it’s on sale for $325 (in the low-key coolest Olive/Citron colorway) at Competitive Cyclist. Talk about a safe bet.

Today in Gear: An Eye-Catching Geometric Down Jacket, a New OS for Your Mac & More

Today in Gear is our daily roundup of all the latest product announcements, drops and deals. Comments or concerns? We’d love to hear from you at tig@gearpatrol.com.

When it’s time to upgrade your winter jacket, don’t get stuck with the same old down squares. The Structure Jacket from Aether breaks up the 800-fill-power goose down in arresting geometric shapes that you won’t find on any other outerwear. The Structure is designed to perfection with custom bonded baffling and an outer shell that’s sewn from Schoeller 2-layer four-way-stretch twill. Treated with DWR, the insulated jacket is also water and wind-resistant. You can also zip the Structure jacket all the way up to your chin, a welcome feature as the inside of the collar is lined with brushed cotton flannel to keep you cozy. Even with its sleek design, there is still plenty of storage with its zippered chest and handwarmer pockets. Don’t blend in with the mass of dull down jackets this winter — you can stand out and keep warm with the Structure Jacket from Aether.

At Just $399, This Iconic Motorcycle Jacket Is an Absolute Steal
Save 43%: Belstaff has been producing legendary motorsport apparel for nearly 100 years. Born from motorcyclists’ universal need for sturdy all-weather gear, Belstaff made a name for itself with its waxed-cotton-and-leather equipment. Developed for racers and adventurers, these jackets largely lived on the fringes until they were carried into the mainstream on the back of actor/racer/badass Steve McQueen. And if, like McQueen, you have your eye on a Belstaff, now is the time to pick one up at RevZilla.

The Belstaff Brooklands Jacket is an eight-ounce waxed cotton classic buzzing and ready for two-wheeled adventure. The Brooklands is made with removable armor in the shoulders and elbows, as well as a sleeve in the back to insert further protection. The Brooklands jacket was made with its namesake race track in mind, with an added padded layer for extra safety.

The jacket is not only made for a tightly-tucked cafe racer, it’s such a stylish design, it can be worn right off the track and straight to dinner. (There’s also a leather version, though it costs a fair amount more, especially with this sale in effect.) Buy this piece of gear as beautiful as it is rugged while the getting’s good. And the getting’s real good. — Peter Corn

Kershaw Shuffle II Folding Knife
Save $28: We all know the feeling: you need to cut something, so you reach for your favorite EDC knife… only to realize it’s in your other bag. Or it’s in your car. Or it’s at the office. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s frustrating problem with an easy solution: two favorite knives. And right now The Drop is making that solution even easier by offering up a two-pack of the popular Kershaw Shuffle II for $28 off.
The second iteration of this unassuming 3-ounce knife has much to offer, inclined a 2.5-inch blade with a piercing tanto profile, a bottle opener and a flathead screwdriver. It’s also available in three colors (black, olive and tan) and you can get any color combo you desire. Stash one Shuffle II on your nightstand and one in another go-to spot (bag, car, office or elsewhere), and no matter where you find yourself, your favorite EDC knife will always be within easy reach. — Steve Mazzucchi

Arc’teryx Alpha SV Jacket
Save $224: The best ski deals tend to surface at the end of the season, as retailers look to move out the current inventory to make room for next year’s crop. But every once in a while, a sweet deal surfaces on the eve of a new season, a golden opportunity for those with the alacrity to pounce. Such is the case with Arc’teryx’s top-of-the-line Alpha SV jacket, which Backcountry is currently moving at a 30 percent discount.
Weighing in at just over a pound, this jacket is the choice of many a powder hound, mountain guide and expert alpinist for several reasons. First of all, it boasts the unmatched waterproofing and breathability of a Gore-Tex Pro 3-layer membrane, ideal for off-piste adventures. The Alpha SV also features tough N100p-X face fabric, WaterTight pit zips, an adjustable storm hood and an array of pockets to ensure your touring gear is always within easy reach.

The only catch? The huge discount only applies to the Zevan colorway, a pretty sharp-looking dark green with fluorescent yellow accents that’s available in small, medium and large. But if that causes you a moment’s pause, just think how many après-ski beers you can buy with that extra $224. — Steve Mazzucchi

Bose SoundTouch 300 Soundbar
Save $250: The Bose SoundTouch 300 is an excellent soundbar that will work well with any of the latest 4K TVs. It supports Alexa as well. When it was released in 2017, Bose was selling the SoundTouch 300 for $699 — but being two-years-old, Amazon has dropped its price to $449, which is the cheapest it has ever been. It’s a pretty solid deal, especially considering the soundbar is very similar in price, size and capabilities to the Sonos Playbar ($699); actually, according to CNET‘s Ty Pendlebury, the SoundTouch 300 has the Playbar beat “in terms of both sound stage and ‘you are there’ detail.” If you love Bose speakers and are looking for a home theater upgrade, this is a solid soundbar to consider. — Tucker Bowe grey_placeholder

Wirecutter writes the electric sharpener “brings the metal of the blade to an infinitesimally fine point rather than to the relatively coarse edge that [the manual version] produces.” At $98, it’s cheaper than it’s ever been. — Will Price

Moccamaster Coffee Maker
Save $90: Of its many features, two stand out: a copper heating element and the ability to disassemble. Given the material’s natural heat conductivity, copper coils heat water more quickly than machines using steel or other methods (the only machine we’ve tested that brews faster is Breville’s Precision Brewer). The ability to take the whole thing apart is also unique, and it allows for troubleshooting and fixing at home rather than losing your source of coffee to the mail for a few weeks (it’s also great for cleaning the machine).

Today, Moccamaster’s CDGT model is $90 off on Drop. It’s the 10-cup model that uses a stainless steel carafe. This is as affordable as Moccamasters get. — Will Price

Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket
Save $60: Regular GP readers are well aware of how much we love Patagonia’s Nano Puff line. Constructed using the most thermally efficient synthetic insulation out there — 55 percent recycled 60g PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco — Nano Puffs are simultaneously ultralight, travel-friendly and warm. Take along on any plane trip and you have both a comfy pillow and an extra layer any time temps drop.

As unseasonably warm as those temps have been lately, a drop is most certainly coming, making now the perfect time to stock up on this essential garment. And if you’re not too picky about color (that’s the catch), you can score one for 30 percent off at REI right now. Just click over to the good-looking color shown above (“Big Sur Blue”) to score the discount in size S through XXL while supplies last. — Steve Mazzucchi

New Balance 900V4 Sneakers
Save 40%: As the weather in North America transitions into full-fledged fall, consider investing in a new pair of sneakers. If you’re looking for a domestic option that won’t break the bank, head over to Zappos. today. The retailer is currently offering 20 percent off the American-made New Balance 990v4.

Available in two tonal colorways, the style features a pigskin nubuck upper, an Encap midsole and a rubber outsole. Either is a solid option for any casual wardrobe, so if you’ve been prepping for fall, don’t sleep on these. — John Zientek

Frye Zip Boots
Save 56%: Since its inception in 1863, Frye has made a name for itself with a diverse range of quality leather footwear. While the brand now offers many more styles than it did a century ago, it hasn’t strayed from its dedication to using top-tier construction and high-grade leathers. If you’re in the market for a new pair of boots, Nordstrom Rack is currently offering up to 56 percent off a pair of hard-wearing zip boots from Frye. If you see something you like, don’t wait long — sizes will go fast with prices like these. — John Zientek

Adidas Ultraboost Shoes
Save $54: It’s sometimes tough to tell if a sneaker innovation has hit the mark. But when a brand expands its use from, say, running sneakers to hiking shoes — the way Adidas has by incorporating a Boost foam midsole into its Terrex Free Hiker — you know it’s got legs, so to speak. We’re big believers in Boost, especially in its original incarnation as a running shoe ingredient. The super-responsive cushioning platform delivers a bouncy energy return with every stride, providing a significant mental lift to go along with the physical one.

Given that benefit, it’s no surprise the Adidas Ultraboost is one of the brand’s most popular running sneakers — and one that’s especially worthy of consideration when it’s on sale. Right now, six different colorways, in a respectable range of sizes, are 30 percent off at adidas.com. Grab a pair today and you’ll be bouncing through the streets with a smile on your face all fall. — Steve Mazzucchi

Todd Snyder x Timex Blackjack Watch
Save 50%: Todd Snyder’s access to the Timex archives has resulted in all sorts of cool collaborations over the past few years, but the updated versions of the once-obscure “Sprite” models from the 1970s have proven so be some of our favorites. We were enthusiastic about the “Blackjack” watch when it first debuted, but in case you need a refresher, this is a sleek, automotive-inspired timepiece with cool “roulette wheel” dial done up in black and white, a black-finished case, 50m of water resistance, a quartz movement and a black Nato strap. The watch generally retails for only $138, but right now, you can nab it for just $69, a 50 percent savings. — Oren Hartov grey_placeholder

Nest Protect (2-Pack)
Save $48: The Nest Protect is the company’s new-and-improved smart smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and it’s been named the “best smart smoke detector” by numerous tech publications, including Wirecutter, Tom’s Guide and Lifewire. The Google Store sells the Nest Protect for $119 a pop, which is fairly expensive, but if you’re willing to buy a two-pack (which is perfect for larger homes), Home Depot is running a pretty good deal: buy two Nest Protects for $190, which is almost $50 off.

Today in Gear: Reviving a Classic Oris Diver, The James Brand’s New Knife & More

Today in Gear is our daily roundup of all the latest product announcements, drops and deals. Comments or concerns? We’d love to hear from you at tig@gearpatrol.com.

Oris made its first diver in 1965 — now it is ready for a revival and ready for the watch aficionado in your life this holiday season. Diving into its design vault, Oris has come up with the Diver Sixty-Five, a fresh spin on the watch that started it all. The new Oris Sixty-Five has many of the details that can be found on the original, but it has been brought up to date with 21st-century watchmaking techniques such as an anti-corrosive stainless steel case. The vintage-inspired bubble-curved glass face is also made from scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass and comes with anti-reflective coating to help you see the dial underwater. The bronze and steel bi-color is a new addition as well, giving the Sixty-Five a distinct look, while still being faithful to the rugged and industrial history. This history steeped timepiece, with its unique coloring, makes the perfect standout gift.

AGV Corsa R Balda Helmet sale deal

The Motorcycle Helmet Your Brain Deserves Is $400 Off
Save 44%: Anyone who rides a motorcycle (or even knows someone who does) ought to know the value of a good helmet at this point. Leather and armor may work fine for those extremities and core, but your head — location to no fewer than four of your five senses, the foundation of that pretty mug of yours, and of course, home to that rather important chunk of gray between your ears — deserves a sturdier shield. And you’d be hard-pressed to find one better than the helmets whipped up by AGV.

That said, the part of your brain concerned with expenditures might normally be put off by AGV’s prices, and rightfully so; the Italian brand’s lids can run well into four-digit prices. Luckily, there are bargains to be had if you don’t mind being a step or two behind the current fashion trends. The AGV Corsa R Baldy seen here may have a 2016 design, but it still offers world-class protection and a design perfect for both track riding and sporty street corner carving.

And right now, you can snag this AGV helmet for just $500 — a 44 percent savings over its cost when new. At that price, you’re practically stealing this race-inspired lid. — Will Sabel Courtney

Cole Haan Leather Duffel Bag
Save 74%: Now at Nordstrom Rack, you can save 74 percent on a tasteful leather duffel bag from Cole Haan. Available in brown, the bag features dual rolled-top handles, a zip closure and interior organizing pockets. It’s not overly complicated, nor should it be. The perfect size for a weekend getaway, it will hold a couple changes of clothes, toiletries and other necessities. — John Zientek grey_placeholder

Samsung Space Monitor
Save Up to $150: Samsung’s newest and most innovative desktop monitor, the Space Monitor, is on sale right now and you should really think about buying one. You can buy a 27-inch monitor, which normally costs $400, for $250 on Amazon. If you want the larger 31.5-inch model, which is normally $500, Amazon has slashed off $100 of its price, too. The neat thing with the Space Monitor is that it’s a monitor designed to save you desk space; instead of having a traditional base, it has a clamp that latches onto the side of your desk; this means the monitor actually takes up zero desk space, leaving more room for your keyboard, mouse and actual work things, and thus hopefully helping you to be more organized and more productive. The Space Monitor also has a movable arm that lets you pull the screen out and tilt it so you get the ideal viewing angle for you. |

Jabra Elite 65e headset
Save $160: The Jabra Elite 65e headset is arguably the best value proposition for anybody who wants in-ear headphones with active noise cancellation. Their nearest rival is the Bose QuietComfort 30, which costs $299, and that’s $99 more than the Jabra Elite 65e.

If you’re looking for a really sweet deal on in-ear noise-canceling headphones, you can buy a refurbished pair of Jabra Elite 65e on eBay for just $40. That’s a pretty steep discount. — Tucker Bowe

Filson Bandera Backpack
Save $75: Founded in 1897, Seattle-based Filson made a name for itself outfitting some of the hardest workers in the West. It’s bags accompanied workers to the rugged Alaskan wilderness and were proven year after year. While Filson still makes its classic designs, the brand also makes some backpacks more suited to everyday use.
The Bandera backpacks are made in the USA from hardwearing twill. The 22L bag has a large U-shaped zipper, an interior laptop pocket and a front zip pocket. Normally priced at $175, this discontinued model is now 43-percent off and costs just $100 — act fast if you want a great everyday pack. — John Zientek grey_placeholder

Breedlove State Series Concert E Guitar
Save 20%: Founded in 1990, Oregon-based Breedlove makes a range of high-end guitars designed for discerning players. The Stage Series Concert E is no exception. Made in America, it features a solid mahogany top, back and sides in Breedlove’s original body shape, and an African ebony fretboard and bridge.

Designed for players, this guitar includes top-tier L.R. Baggs EAS electronics and a pinless bridge for easy string changes. And, the hand-rubbed, semi-gloss neck has a slim profile that is appropriate for many hand sizes. To top it off, the guitar features beautiful neck inlays, a simple rosette and a tasteful binding.

Normally priced at a very fair $830, the Stage Series Concert E now costs just $668. That’s almost too good to be true, so if it strikes your fancy, act fast — savings like this won’t be around long. — John Zientek

Arc’teryx Cerium LT Hooded Down Jacket
Save $114: For months now, we’ve been stressing that the best time to score cold-weather gear, particularly awesome down jackets, is when it’s not cold out. Today serves up yet more proof, in that the legendary Arc’teryx Cerium LT Hooded Down Jacket is currently on sale for a whopping $114 off at Backcountry. I have the non-hooded version of this jacket, and it’s just about perfect for fall weather — and with proper layering, winter weather as well.

Dropping from $379 to $265 makes for quite a steal — as long as you’re not too picky. Don’t worry, the jacket is available in small through extra large. However, only one of the 10 colors is so sharply discounted: Deep Cove, which is sort of a light blue. But honestly, it’s a pretty good-looking color, and a month or so from now — if not sooner — you’ll be stoked to have it in your wardrobe.

Note: A couple other colors, Nocturne (a midnight blue) and Neptune (a sea green), are discounted to $305 in select sizes. — Steve Mazzucchi

L.L. Bean Boots
Save 20%: Heritage New England outdoor brand L.L.Bean has been in business for over 100 years. Its first-ever product? The sort-of ugly, undeniably-iconic Bean Boot. Leon Leonwood Bean (yeah, that’s what the L.L. stands for) designed them as a solution to prevent wet feet while hunting in Maine’s damp conditions.

The design of the boot hasn’t changed much since: it features a stout rubber bottom and a hardy leather upper, which makes them ideal for winter’s inclement conditions. The boots have spread beyond hunting though, and now come in different heights with various linings for different temperatures and uses.

Right now, there’s an extensive collection of Bean Boot models (as well as apparel) up for sale on L.L.Bean’s website — just use the code SPLASH20 at checkout. — John Zientek

12.9-Inch iPad Pro (2019)
Save Up to $399: Right now, Amazon is selling the latest 12.9 iPad Pro (Wi-Fi only) with 1TB of storage for $1,350 – that’s $200 less than the exact same model on Apple’s website. Of course, the 1TB of storage is probably overkill for most people; but if you’re a photographer or videographer who edits on-the-go (or basically anybody who doesn’t use iCloud for storage), this iPad Pro model makes sense. — Tucker Bowe

One of Our Favorite Motorcycle Gear Brands Is On Sale Right Now

Today in Gear: A Watch That Merges Tactical and Streetwear, the New Issue of Gear Patrol Magazine & More

Today in Gear is our daily roundup of all the latest product announcements, drops and deals. Comments or concerns? We’d love to hear from you at tig@gearpatrol.com.

The New Regulus SS by Nixon is ready for anything. Forged from stainless steel, this rough and tumble timepiece was designed alongside US Special Operations agents, so you know it won’t let you down no matter how hard you wear it. Water-resistant to 100 meters, 5-year battery life and shock-absorbent materials withstand any terrain and condition, all adding up to make one tough watch. But this isn’t a tactical watch by any stretch. Regulus SS blurs the lines between tactical ops and streetwear flash coming in silver, gold and black stainless steel. You can also track two tasks at once with dual timers and adjustable LED backlight to go dark. Whether you need to go off the grid or you spend all your time on the city’s grid, the Regulus SS won’t look out of place and will always have your time and your back.

There’s an Insane Sale On Top-of-the-Line Motorcycle Helmets Right Now
Save Up to 53%: Your motorcycle gear isn’t something to take for granted. What you wear when you ride can literally save your skin, so it’s worth investing a little extra money to make sure you’re protected as well as possible.
However, while the motorcycle lifestyle can have a tantalizingly low cost of entry compared to owning a car, buying the necessary protective clothing — pants, jackets, boots and especially helmets — can quickly run up a steep tab, making the cheaper, lesser options more attractive, even if they may not be quite as good.

Right now, however, is the time to upgrade your head protection if there ever was one. Right now over at Revzilla, there’s an insane sale on top-of-the-line motorcycle helmets. You can save up to $800 on select top-tier motorcycle helmets from brands like Schuberth, AGV and Bell. If you’ve always wanted the performance and protection from one of the best motorcycle helmets available today (and really, why wouldn’t you want that?), now’s your chance to save a few hundred dollars and upgrade your lid game at the same time. –Bryan Campbell

Wolverine Montague Chelsea Boots
Save 56%: A good pair of Chelsea boots gives you the best of both casual and professional footwear. For example, the Montague from Wolverine 1000 Mile features a sleek silhouette that is appropriate with both pressed slacks and beat-up jeans. The boots include Goodyear welt construction, a side zipper and a durable rubber sole. It’s relaxed comfort with a work-appropriate appearance — and now it’s 56 percent off. — John Zientek

Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2
Save $92: We are several weeks into fall now, but it still feels like summer. Which means we are looking for any excuse to get out and soak up the sun. And it’s even more of a thrill to do so with a brand-new pair of running shoes — especially when you can score them at an awesome discount. Nike’s helping make that possible with the promo code “SPRINT” which scores you 25 percent off select items through Thursday.

Use this link to see exactly which items qualify for the discount code, and you’ll see it’s especially runner-friendly, in part because a lot of these shoes are already discounted. Examples include the Epic React Flyknit 2 (up to $75 off), Air VaporMax 2019 ($76 off), and Air VaporMax Flyknit 3 (up to $76 off).

The sweetest savings, though, apply to the Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 in the steely blue colorway shown above. Combine the promo code with the existing discount and the price of this shoe drops from $180 to $88. That’s the kind of deal that’ll brighten your day no matter what the weather is looking like. — Steve Mazzucchi

Dyson Upright Vacuum
Save $330: The headline says it all. The Dyson Ball Upright vac, equipped with the cyclone suction technology you’ve no doubt heard about in TV commercials for nearly a decade, is $330 cheaper than normal. Put another way, you’re saving exactly one 5.5-quart Le Creuset by buying.

It should be noted that these Dysons are refurbs, but importantly that they are manufacturer refurbs, meaning Dyson has received them, patched them up, rigorously tested them and released them anew. — Will Price

Kershaw Knockout Damascus
Save $88: Damascus steel isn’t just for show. Knives that use it are most obviously characterized by the undulating patterns in their blades, but the involved process of making it — a century’s old method involving the layering of various types of metals — is known to create a final product that’s also incredibly strong. Utilized in a pocket knife, it makes for a tool that’s unique in both aesthetics and effectiveness (and, typically, expensive).

An excellent example of the application of Damascus steel is Kershaw’s Knockout. Kershaw conceived the EDC folder as uncompromising; it uses the company’s Sub-Frame Lock, in which a section of a handle is cut out to make room for a steel insert that bends inward when the blade is deployed to hold it in place, like a traditional frame lock. That construction allowed Kershaw to use aluminum for the rest of the handle, keeping the overall build lightweight yet sturdy. It’s a win-win that compliments the qualities of the Damascus steel blade, making for an exceptional everyday knife that, at the moment, is nearly $90 off. — Tanner Bowden

Bose QuietComfort 30
Save $160: The Bose QuietComfort 30 are the company’s wireless noise-canceling earphones. They’re a great option for anybody that wants noise-canceling in-ear headphones, but it’s worth pointing out that they’ve been around since 2016. Yes, this means that Bose is due to come out with an updated version of the QuietComfort 30 in the near future – it already announced that the Bose Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700, the company’s first true wireless earbuds with active noise-cancellation, would be released sometime in 2020 – but it also means you can find some pretty awesome deals on them if you look hard enough. Case and point, this eBay deal. You can buy a refurbished pair of QuietComfort 30 for $140, which is a great deal considering that both Bose’s website and Amazon are selling new pairs for $300. — Tucker Bowe

Today in Gear: A New Oris That Utilizes Titanium, a Vintage Land Cruiser Up for Auction & More

Today in Gear is our daily roundup of all the latest product announcements, drops and deals. Comments or concerns? We’d love to hear from you at tig@gearpatrol.com.

The Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115 is the future of Oris — but by no means devoid of its rich legacy. When concepting this new timepiece, the design team was inspired by the rich nature of the Waldenburg Valley — which has been Oris’ home since it was founded in 1904. With the acknowledgments to the roots of this fiercely independent brand, the 44mm case is made of titanium — which is an interesting story in itself. Titanium is one of nature’s most lightweight metals, yet is incredibly strong and durable. It’s high-tech and low-tech at the same time and speaks to the uninhibited future of Oris. This groundbreaking timepiece also lays bare Oris’ historic watchmaking roots with its fully skeletonized movement, which opens up the 10-day power reserve and non-linear power reserve indicator to reveal how they work. The Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115 is a major achievement, a perfect synergy of design and nature.

The North Face Griffin 65 Pack
Save $109: Ever since we got a sneak preview at Outdoor Retailer last year, we’ve been huge fans of The North Face’s Griffin 65 hiking pack. It’s our favorite among a line of four outstanding packs the brand launched in 2019 featuring DynoCarry, an easy-to-adjust load management system that makes carrying as close to a natural walking experience as possible. This pack is so well-designed and user-friendly, it claimed one of our OR Editor’s Choice Awards.

Want to grab one for yourself? You can currently save nearly 37 percent ($109) on this pack at Moosejaw. Use the promo code SOFTPRETZEL to claim the full savings, but like the headline says, there is indeed a catch. Though the Griffin 65 is available in three colors, the only shade with this level of savings is the Asphalt Grey/Tin Grey variety — which to the untrained eye looks a heckuva lot like black and white. Quantities are also quite limited, so if you want one, now’s the time to act. — Steve Mazzucchi

Lodge Cast-Iron Skillet
Save $15: Point blank: there’s not an American-made piece of cast-iron out there that is a better deal at retail price than a Lodge. The only widely-available producer of American cast-iron cookware has been cranking out all manner of cookware from the same factory in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee for more than 120 years. When treated right, their skillets can last a lifetime for what a trip to the movies costs. Lodge’s 9-inch skillet will fit a large steak just fine, is more maneuverable than its larger cousins and takes up less precious cabinet space. It also happens to be the perfect size for a dual serving of crispy, hearty breakfast hash. Just saying.
Right now, the 9-inch skillet is discounted to a whopping $9 — that’s $15 under its usual price and the most affordable we’ve ever seen it. — Will Price grey_placeholder

Fender Custom Shop Joe Bonamassa Vintage Collector Series Special Mod 1955 Relic Telecaster
Save over $1,150: The Custom Shop Joe Bonamassa Vintage Collector Series Special Mod 1955 Relic Telecaster has an ash body, 21-fret quartersawn maple neck with a ’57 soft-V profile, a vintage bridge and a single-ply parchment pickguard. The guitar has two hand-wound Tele pickups — a ’55 Tele pickup in the neck and a ’51 Nocaster pickup in the bridge — and a 3-way pickup switch. Also notable: the Tele has a heavily-worn 3-tone sunburst finish that was virtually non-existent on models from the mid-‘50s.
Limited to just 40 instruments which are exclusively carried at Guitar Center, this model is geared towards serious players or avid collectors. And while normal Custom Shop prices can be hard for some to swallow, this guitar is now 25 percent off. That means you can save $1,151 on this ridiculously nice Tele and take it home for just under $3,500. For a person obsessed with the details, this is a deal worth acting on. — John Zientek

The Perfect All-Weather Motorcycle Jacket Is $200 Off, But Act Fast
Save 35%: Good (or bad) news, everyone: Autumn is officially here. On the bad side, that means the balmy days of summer are now officially behind us until 2020, and the chill of winter lies dead ahead, like an iceberg in the path of our Titanic. On the plus side: At long last, it’s fall — the season of football, crisp air, fiery foliage, Halloween and Thanksgiving.

The seasonal transitional also means that, for many of us, it’s time to change out our riding gear for something a little heavier. Then again, if you have the Dainese Corbin D-Dry motorcycle jacket, you don’t really need to. This cowhide coat is well-ventilated enough for summertime riding, thanks to large mesh panels, but a thermal liner can be popped in to add insulation for cold-weather rides. And while the leather can wick away water just fine on its own, there’s a waterproof D-Dry membrane for really rainy conditions. Mix and match the combinations as needed, and you’ve got a Dainese jacket good for spring, summer, winter and fall alike.

And for the next few days, you can snap up this riding jacket for $200 off at RevZilla as part of their weekly sale. — Will Sabel Courtney

Klipsch Powered Bookshelf Speakers
Save Up to $100: If you’re looking for a pair of great-sounding powered bookshelf speakers, both of Klipsch’s R-41PM and R-51PM are on sale right now. The two speakers share a similar design and build quality, but the main differences between the two are size and sound – and thus price. The Klipsch R-51PM are the larger of the two speakers and are capable of real “room-filling sound.” The Klipsch R-41PM powered speakers are the smaller and more affordable option. Both the Klipsch R-41PM and R-51PM are powered bookshelf speakers and come with their own built-in amplifier, meaning you won’t need to connect either pair of speakers to an external amp or receiver to play music. Additionally, the two speaker pairs have a number of different analog inputs, allowing you to can connect them to pretty much anything, whether that’s a turntable, laptop or an old CD player. They also have built-in Bluetooth, so you can stream directly to the speakers right from your smartphone. — Tucker Bowe |

Its heating system warms water as it travels to the showerhead, meaning you don’t have to wait minutes for the water to come to temperature and making it literally the fastest coffee maker you can buy. Its downsides, few that they are, are its size and price. It’s worth comparing its height to the space between your countertop and kitchen cabinets. As for price, the machine is $100 off its hefty $300 tag on Amazon right now. — Will Price

NYRR New York City Marathon Fueling Pack
Save 17%: Loads of performance products advertise that your new PR is just a dose away. Very few have the bona fide results to back it up. But we’ve confirmed that the drink Geoffrey Kamworor consumed while breaking the half-marathon world record came from Maurten, a brand we have long believed in, and it’s now a key part of an awesome New York Marathon Fueling Pack on sale for 17 percent off at The Feed.

Of course, you don’t have to be running that actual marathon to benefit from this offer. The sampler includes caffeinated Clif Bloks, Nuun Sport tablets, VitalFit recovery capsules, Amp Human Performance PR Lotion, Sur Alt Red capsules and Run Gum, plus the record-breaking stuff: 6 servings of Maurten Drink Mix and 8 servings of Maurten Gel 100. Order now and you’ll also get an expert guide explaining how to use everything in the pack, as well as two handy drink bottles.
Now, we can’t promise you’ll run a half-marathon in less an hour like Kamworor does, but you will get to experiment with and benefit from a bunch of top-notch performance aids. (Pro tip: Try this stuff out before your big race. Come race day you shouldn’t introduce anything new that could unexpectedly throw off your game.) — Steve Mazzucchi

One of the Most Iconic Motorcycle Jackets Ever Is Almost $300 Off
Save 20%: It’s not easy to earn a reputation for rugged reliability in the world of motorcycle gear, but Belstaff has been at it for nearly 100 years. Covering the backs of some of the first motorcycle racers at the famed Brooklands track, the first runnings of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy and even cloaking Che Guevara as documented in his memoir The Motorcycle Diaries, Belstaff has proven itself worthy in the roughest real-world conditions.

As it’s risen to prominence in recent years, Belstaff has entrenched itself in the luxury performance apparel space; as a result, price tags tend to be high across the brand. Today, however, the Classic Tourist Trophy Jacket — one of Belstaff’s most iconic designs — is 20% off at RevZilla, currently selling for just $1,160. –Bryan Campbell

It isn’t always easy to find a way to change up your Rolex. However, Everest Bands makes the best aftermarket watch bands you can find, all designed specifically to fit your Rolex with curved ends to remove the gap between the watch band and watch case for a perfect fit. The inspiration for Everest Band’s latest strap comes from Rolex’s long history in automobile racing — it’s been specifically designed to mimic the leather interior of a sports car. With three color combinations of perforated leather, you will be sure to find a match to yours, or to the one of your dreams. An embedded ABS plastic insert will also make sure the leather stays sharp while you use it. Once you have one of these for your Rolex, you may finally have an excuse to find a sports car to match.

And while you can buy all the best gear available and can be a seasoned expert, you still need peace of mind. Whether you are hitting the slopes, diving below the waves, or repelling down a sheer rock face, you should probably have injury insurance. This is where Spot comes in. From cycling and surfing to rock climbing and skiing, Spot delivers injury insurance policies that are great whether you have health insurance or not. The service is available in 17 states, and plans to be live in all 50 by 2020. There’s no deductible, co-pay or schedule of benefits that outlines the max amount you’d get back per injury. And best of all, you’re covered no matter where in the world your injury takes place — so get out there and explore.
