Developed and perfected over the last 8 years, the Thodio .50 Cal Ammo Can Boombox is a wireless speaker built into an original 50’s design .50 CAL ammo can. Also known as the A-BOX, the portable unit can handle serious abuse while offering an impressively loud and clear sound.
Fully handmade in Amsterdam, the compact speaker measures 11.8 x 6.1 x 7.7 inches and weighs between 12.9-14.3 pounds, depending on the battery you choose. The ammo can is reinforced and insulated to make it sound as great as a wooden rig, while a 200-watt RMS audiophile amplifier driving custom filtered, Kevlar-coned coaxial speakers with soft-dome tweeters, is capable of processing High-Res audio.
Available with different lithium-ion battery packs (26 to 78-hours per charge), the A-BOX comes standard with a 3.5mm auxiliary jack but can be fitted with additional options including Bluetooth, WiFi, a USB jack for charging your devices, and even an electric guitar input so you can rock out like a military man.
