Arkonik ‘BLACK HAWK’ Land Rover Defender

Our friends at Arkonik have just unveiled what may be their most robust build to date, the ‘BLACK HAWK.’ Named after its helicopter pilot owner, this murdered-out Defender 110 comes equipped for any challenging off-road mission.

Clad from head to toe with a durable Raptor-coating, the Land Rover sports a heavy-duty Safety Devices roll cage (a first for Arkonik) and roof rack as well as a full complement of chequer plate.

The station wagon is fuelled by a 3.5L V8 engine and rolls on Mach 5 wheels with bead locks wrapped in 33″ BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires. Other details include a rear ladder, 4x 6″ Lightforce LED roof spotlights and 2x rear LED bar spotlights, A-frame nudge bar, a Warn Zeon 12-S winch and winch bumper, Fire & Ice side steps, Wideboy wheel arches, and front & rear light guards.

Entering the ‘BLACK HAWK,’ you’re graced by black leather with Alcantara fluting trim, Recaro Cross Sportster CS heated front seats, two premium high back centre row seats and two lock & fold seats in the load area, Arkon X leather steering wheel, leather door cards with alloy door furniture, premium Pioneer sound system, and a slew of other goodies.

‘ARTFUL DODGER’ Land Rover Defender

UK’s Arkonik is on a roll lately. A week ago, their noble ‘Camelot’ graced these pages and now, another outstanding fresh build takes the spotlight. Meet the ‘ARTFUL DODGER’, a shrewd and daring D110 Land Rover Defender in glorious Willow Green with Java Black accents.

The fully-restored 4 WD station wagon is powered by a 3.5L V8 gasoline engine and it rides on KAHN Defend 1948 16″ Satin Black alloys with BFGoodrich AT tires. It features front bumper DRLs, A-bar with twin Hella HID spotlights, WARN Zeon 12-S winch, Puma bonnet, KBX grille, wing-top vents & side air intake, satin black chequer plate, side steps, Raptor-coated steering & front differential guard, and off-road Terrafirma suspension with 2″ lift kit, among other high-performing bits.

The 6-seater is equipped for any demanding escapade with a rear LED work lamp, roof rack with LED spotlights, rear ladder and side mounted shovel, and axe & high-lift jack. Inside, the lucky new owners can enjoy leather trim, modular heated seats with custom embroidered headrests, Elite Loc-box (inc. 12V & USB ports) & door cards, Arkon X steering wheel, Pioneer premium sound system with camera display, Ice White LEDs, sunroof, and of course, AC.

Arkonik ‘Camelot’ Land Rover Defender

The latest gem to roll off Arkonik’s production line is a handsome off-roader fuelled by a powerful, long-lasting 200 turbodiesel engine. Based on a 1991 D110 Land Rover Defender, the ‘Camelot’ has been respectfully restored in classic Eastnor Green and Chawton White.

Ready for remote adventures, the noble station wagon features a host of extras including a Satin Black KBX grille and wing-top vents, WARN Zeon 12-S winch with bumper, Defender A-frame nudge bar with LED spotlights, Fire & Ice side steps, a Front Runner roof rack and rear ladder, NAS rear step, and steel wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich AT tires.

Inside the hand-assembled Land Rover, you’ll find Beechwood leather seating trim, Elite front row heated seats, 3x premium high back center row seats, 4x tip-up seats in the load area, suede headlining and side panels, premium leather stitched gear gaiter with alloy gearknobs, and a Pioneer sound system with Apple CarPlay.

The truck has been sold ($145,000) and shipped to its new owner in Illinois USA, but if you want something similar, the folks at England’s Arkonik will be more than happy to build one tailored to your own taste.
