A legacy in high-performance racing
Of course, the most magnificent piece of this restomod puzzle is hidden away in the rear compartment: its engine. Based on the Type 964’s original powerplant, this Carrera gets a state-of-the-art, 420HP, naturally-aspirated flat six.
Developed by Singer with Cosworth engineering, it boasts a 4.0L capacity, four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, water-cooled cylinder heads and air-cooled cylinders. In short, this beast purrs like a Maine Coon and roars like a lion.

To match all that power and performance, Bosch helped develop its ABS, traction control and electronic stability control, along with selectable drive modes, a manual six-speed gear box and RWD. And for the min-maxers out there, it even boasts four-way, remotely adjustable dampers with electronic damping control.
Pricing and availability
Here’s the big catch: only 100 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer restomods will be built, and you have to supply your own Type 964 to take advantage of the program.
Furthermore, pricing varies from restoration to restoration, so you’ll have to contact the brand to find out how much it might cost you. Still, if you’re lucky enough to own a 964 already and have made it this far without batting an eye, something tells me you won’t balk at the price.
