Hoka’s Bondi line has long been the brand’s crown jewel of max-cushion running shoes. Beloved by marathoners, weekend warriors, and even folks who want supreme comfort on daily walks, it’s consistently been one of the company’s most popular silhouettes.
When Hoka introduced the Bondi 9 late last year, the update cemented its reputation as its flagship plush trainer. Which is why it’s a surprise to see it already on sale in at least one fall-ready colorway.
The new “King of Cushion”
The Bondi 9 builds on the already impressive Bondi 8 with a higher stack, more responsive cushioning, and a sleeker overall design. A two-millimeter boost in midsole height gives it even more plush underfoot feel, while new super-critical EVA foam lightens the shoe without sacrificing support.
Hoka’s signature MetaRocker geometry helps smooth transitions, and a redesigned knit upper improves airflow on longer efforts. These updates make the Bondi 9 softer and more efficient, solidifying its “King of Cushion” nickname.
