Lamborghini Aventador ‘Carbonado’ by Mansory

Sx-Z | Lamborghini Aventador ‘Carbonado’ by Mansory

Earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show, Swiss autotuner Mansory showed off a special Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. If that version wasn’t extravagant enough for you, it looks like they gave it another shot with this ‘Carbonado’ version – limited to a mere 6 cars. The Carbonado, whose name is derived from ”Black Diamonds” found in parts of Africa and Brazil, features lighter components made out of carbon fiber, replacing most of the Aventador’s exterior panels plus the engine compartment cover.

The body kit increases the Aventador’s width by 40 millimetres (1.57 inches) on the front axle and 50 millimetres (1.97 inches) on the rear axle. It includes numerous add on parts such as the side skirts, front and rear aprons and a rear wing, all decked out in carbon fiber of course.

Complementing the body changes are a new set of light forged rims with carbon-fiber inlays – tires sizes come in 255/30 ZR20 in front and 345/25 ZR21 in the rear.

Mansory didn’t stop there, the Aventador’s V12 engine got some special treatment through a performance package consisting of a reprogrammed ECU and special exhaust system which raises output from 691bhp (700PS) and 690Nm to 744bhp (754PS) at 8,300 rpm and 750Nm (553.1 lb-ft) at 6,000 rpm.

The Aventador will accelerate to 100km/h (62mph) in just 2.8 seconds and max out at 355km/h (221 mph).

The interior of the Carbonado package sports carbon fiber inserts and black leather upholstery with red accents.

The Lamborghini Ferruccio 50th Anniversary Concept By Mark Hostler

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost here already. Come next year, Lamborghini turns 50! In celebration, a Staffordshire University student by the name of Mark Hostler has created a 50th anniversary Lamborghini concept; the Lamborghini Ferruccio.

The Ferruccio’s steep sloping front and extra wide back end are inspired by the Countach. The rounded shapes of the front and rear wings are reminiscent of the Miura and you’ll notice current Lamborghini “stealth fighter” design in the aggressive styled air intakes and the Ferruccio’s extra sharp nose.

The Ferruccio may be a supercar, but it’s V12 engine is much smaller at a staggering 5.0 liters. It’s valves are “actuated by pneumatic solenoids controlled by a computer.”

All of this equates into classic Lambo DNA with a cleaner and more efficient engine.

Who is the Route 29 Batman?

I’m sure you were wondering the same.

Last week a black Lamborghini was pulled over by police for having no plates. The driver, it turned out, was none other than Batman. Yes, you read that right.

So who was this cape crusader, dressed as Batman, driving a Lambo around town with only a single plate with the Batman symbol on it?

The Batman told officers that his real name is Lenny B. Robinson. Since he had his real tags in the car, police let him go.

Why was this businessman from Baltimore County dressed as Batman in the first place?

This hero steps it up and I mean big time – The dark knight visits sick children in hospitals, handing out Batman paraphernalia to up-and-coming superheros who are fighting to beat cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

“I’m just doing it for the kids,” says Robinson. I’m a sucker for kids, just try to hold back a dry eye on this one.

Seriously, the world needs more Batmans!

Read the full story and follow Robinson during his day at the cancer ward at Children’s National Medical Center in Northwest Washington, where you can learn more about getting involved or donating.
