Sylvansport And Zeus Electric Chassis Join Forces To Build This Exciting Electric RV

The electric vehicle is seeing almost every type of automobile get the zero-emission treatment. The most popular right now are sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, and supercars. Campers and RVs are gradually going green as well and we’re always on the lookout for what’s new. Our latest find is the adventure-ready concept from Sylvansport.

What drew us to this electric RV are the renders. The images show us a lot going on here, but the two-tone black/green colorway does grab your attention. In fact, at first glance, we were thinking this was a collaboration with gaming peripheral manufacturer Razer.

Even if it isn’t, the technical details promise an exciting experience for owners. The Sylvansport electric RV is a heavy-duty platform built for people who love to be on the road. It measures 25’ x 12.25’ x 10’ (L x W x H) which is enough to house all the creature comforts you might need.

This is not a solo venture either with Zeus Electric Chassis also on board to build this beast. This all-wheel-drive motorhome boasts military-grade axles and an independent coil spring suspension system. Liquid-cooled permanent magnet AC motors generate 290 horsepower with a whopping 3,000 lb-ft of torque.

Sylvansport also assures owners that this TV is no slouch when it comes to range. Mileage is crucial since RVs are intended to be always on the move. A full charge is enough to travel up to 400 miles before the batteries need to juice up. Perhaps, the addition of solar panels on the roof will help. A production-ready unit is slated to arrive in 2022.

The Best Watches Spotted at the US Open

Millions were glued to their televisions as Daniil Medvedev beat Novak Djokovic in an intense US Open Men’s Singles final on Sunday. In addition to all the drama, you might have noticed some interesting wrist-wear on the players as well as on those in the stands. The champ himself wore an unexpected watch for a tennis player as he held his trophy aloft, but celebrities in the crowd also presented some watch-spotting opportunities. Check out the most notable watches at the US Open Men’s Singles final below.

Daniil Medvedev didn’t wear a watch during the match, but as he received the trophy on his wrist was the kind of watch that makes you look twice. It’s from the high-end Swiss brand Bovet — Medvedev is a Bovet brand ambassador — and is probably a bit delicate for the types of shocks a professional tennis player would subject it to. (There are Richard Mille watches for that.) The OttantaSei is like a sporty version of Bovet’s Virtuoso collection, and it features a highly skeletonized movement, a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock and a 44mm case made of titanium with a blue finish.

It was a tough loss for Novak Djokovic. The Serbian player was a longtime ambassador for Seiko but recently made the switch to Hublot — the model he wore for the tournament was the Big Bang Mecha 10 Ceramic Blue. With a 45mm ceramic case with a blue finish, it almost seems coordinated with Medvedev’s choice, but is somewhat sportier. It also features an in-house skeletonized movement with chronograph function. (Also like Medvedev’s Bovet, it features a 10-day power reserve.)

In the stands, you couldn’t help but notice (and neither could the cameramen) that Brad Pitt and Bradley Cooper attended the match together. Cooper didn’t wear a watch, but Pitt as a brand ambassador in Breitling’s “Cinema Squad” (movie star ambassadors) wore a Chronomat B01. That bracelet is unmistakeable, and it looks like the 42mm version (rather than 44mm) since it wears so slim. It was tough to make out the color, but it’s a fantastic chronograph watch with an in-house automatic movement — like everything else, Brad Pitt made it look even better.

Lexus Could Be About to Deliver a Major Upgrade to the Other Land Cruiser

For many years, Toyota sold the Land Cruiser in the United States — at least, until 2021, when Toyota axed the venerable, slow-selling model from our lineup. The Lexus LX — a rebodied version of the Land Crusher — seems all but sure to still be sold in America going forward, luckily. But the best-selling Land Cruiser variant in the U.S. isn’t the LX; it’s the Lexus GX, which is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. It’s smaller, substantially cheaper — and typically outsells the aforementioned Land Cruisers four times over in America.

Still, the second-generation GX has grown dated; it entered production in 2009. And trademark filings for “GX550” uncovered in America by CarBuzz and in Costa Rica by Motor Trend suggest the current GX 460 could be set for a major upgrade.

Lexus model nomenclature has changed: the GX 460 stems from an earlier era where the three-digit number neatly tracked engine displacement. The GX 460 uses a 4.6-liter V8 engine. Lexus now uses the three-digit number to reflect relative output; 550 is higher than 450, which is higher than 350. So, the GX550 should be more powerful than the 301-hp GX 460, which has about as much grunt as a four-cylinder Ford Bronco.

We would bet that the GX550 will be a new third-generation model, not a revised version of the existing SUV. Rumors point to the new Land Cruiser Prado arriving sometime within the next two years, and Toyota has a new TNGA-F body-on-frame truck platform that will underpin the new Tundra pickup. It would be weird if Lexus were not giving the strong-selling GX a complete overhaul for a new era.

The question is which engine GX550 will refer to. We suspect Lexus would launch with a gas engine, perhaps the 400-plus horsepower twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 that’s going in the new Land Cruiser. That said Toyota has said all models will have a hybrid option by 2025, including the GX. (Toyota’s YouTube channel also recently dropped a still-mysterious explainer for diesel engines, leaving us wondering if an oil-burner is in the cards.)

Remember, Toyota told off-road enthusiasts to hang tight when it announced it was eliminating the Land Cruiser for 2022. Lexus has a new three-row crossover coming to carry the water for families. One could see the new GX leaning even harder into off-roading capability — and becoming the smaller, cheaper Land Cruiser option many in America has long wanted.

OnePlus Ups Its True Wireless Earbuds Game With The Sleek Buds Pro

After being hailed as the best bang for your buck manufacturer for its “flagship killer” smartphones since it debuted in 2014, OnePlus seems to have lost its identity over the years. These days, Xiaomi sub-brands Redmi and Poco appear to have taken the lead. Not about to throw in the towel, the company releases the Buds Pro.

With most modern handsets shipping without the 3.5 mm headphone port, Bluetooth is becoming the technology of choice. Apple’s push for wireless audio seems to have taken hold. This is evident as its rivals scramble to market their own true-wireless earbuds. The Buds Pro is OnePlus’ range-topping answer to the AirPods Pro.

The Cupertino-based tech group’s influence is clear as the Buds Pro sports stems. Some of us are not big fans of this design since it looks like regular earphones with the wires cut off. Nonetheless, these are considerably shorter than others out there.

Smart Adaptive Noise Cancellation technology makes your tunes even more immersive. It actively blocks out unwanted sound up to 40 dB, Furthermore, it automatically adjusts according to the ambient audio around you. Calls remain crystal clear thanks to the microphones calibrated to filter out wind and more.

The OnePlus Buds Pro features 11-mm dynamic drivers for outstanding acoustics. IP55 ingress protection, make it suitable for indoor and outdoor workouts. Warp Charge technology and wireless charging give you versatility and 38 hours of battery life with the charging case.

Tech industry pundits agree that OnePlus’ popularity has waned over the years. Moreover, the introduction of its Nord catalog confused a lot of longtime users. Anyway, even though Oppo now controls most of its operations, the badge might stick around for a while. The Buds Pro tells us it’s not over yet.

Men’s Hairstyle Trends: 100+ Haircuts for Modern Men

If you are looking to make a big change in your look, the best way to do it is by changing your hairstyle. A new haircut can give you a completely new look and transform your personality.

Good and bad hair trends come and go and it is up to you which ones you want to follow. Short hairstyles look great on everyone. And if you opt for a medium length haircut, make sure that the top is styled in a quiff. This is an incredibly popular and stylish hairstyle that we expect to see everywhere in 2021 and many years to follow.

The most important thing is to choose the haircut that fits your personal style and face shape. To make sure that you are choosing the best men’s haircuts for 2021, check out our gallery below which consists of 1000’s of images of different styles!

What are the best men’s hairstyles? It can be hard to find one that suits you, but luckily here at Men’s Gear we have some of the latest styles. Whether you’re looking for a modern look or something more traditional, there’s something for everyone. And if you need help styling your hair then check out our tutorials section where we show how to get these looks step by step!

Once you find the right haircut for you, remember that you need to maintain the shape with a blow dryer and by applying good hair wax or any other hair product. The shape is going to last longer if you apply a matte finish hair spray in the end.

Caesar Haircut

If you are looking for a trendy haircut that isn’t too short and won’t make your head look smaller, you should try the Caesar haircut. This style is similar to a buzz cut, but it has longer hair on top. It looks great with both thick and thin hair and it will give you a classic look that will suit a casual or formal outfit.

Crew Cut Haircut

One of the best haircuts for men who want to have short hair is a crew cut. It has been popular since the 1960s and it would be a shame if it didn’t come back in 2021! You can keep your sideburns a bit longer or you can even shave them off completely. Thanks to the extremely short length, people will be able to see your skin, meaning you will need to visit your local barbers more often.

Man Bun Hairstyle

You can opt for a high or low bun, depending on how neat you want the finished look to be. If you have thick hair, this is a hairstyle that can add some volume to your mane.

The most important thing with the man bun is that it looks good when combined with a beard. If you do not have a beard, go for short stubble instead.

It goes without saying that if you are growing out your beard, you should keep the man bun for now.

Asian Man Bun Hairstyle

Asian men can be very creative with their hairstyles and one of the most popular cut is medium length undercut with a long top. The bun is such a universal way to style medium hair and it goes well for casual or formal looks.

The Receding Hairline Haircut

A receding hairline simply means that there is a large gap between your eyebrows and the front edge of your hairline.

To make this hairstyle work for you, remember to use products designed to add volume on top of your head. The best men’s haircuts for receding hairlines are haircuts that allow you to style your hair upwards.

Fade Haircut Style

If you are looking for something more elegant, one of the best haircuts in 2021 is a classic taper fade. It has been incredibly popular which means that it will probably remain stylish for many years to come. If your hair is naturally curly or wavy, you can try a low skin fade haircut with volume on top.

If you are looking for some inspiration before your next trip to the barber, the hairstyle ideas above will surely come in handy. The combination of different hair lengths is always stylish and works well with most hair types.

This is a very simple haircut and most barbers will be able to recreate it with ease. This style is best suited for men who want to go for a short cut or those who have thin hair.

To get this look, you need to grow your hair out on the top and shave the sides and back of your head. This way you will create a contrast between the longer hair on top and the shorter hair around your ears.

Fade Haircut with Beard

A fade haircut looks great with a beard but you will need to keep both your beard and hair in style making your job harder.

The fade haircut has been popular for some years now and we don’t see any sign of it being replaced anytime soon. If you have straight hair, opt for a classic version. For curly-haired guys, the top can be styled into a nice pompadour or quiff.

Faux Hawk Haircut

A faux hawk is a cross between the classic mohawk and a mullet. You leave the sides long but shave off all of the hair on top of your head. This haircut looks amazing with thick hair, so you should have no trouble recreating this look at home.

The faux hawk is inspired by the mohawk hairstyle which was popularized during the punk movement. It has become one of the most popular haircuts for men of all ages, especially among young people.

If you are looking for an edgy look, there is no better style than a fade haircut with shaved lines. This is a very sharp cut that is quite popular among fashionable young people.

If you want to make a statement, why not try one of our many pixie haircuts. These short haircuts are very unique and they look great on all face shapes.

And if you haven’t found inspiration for your next haircut, carry on checking out more cool hairstyles down the list!

The Buzz Cut Hairstyle

The buzz haircut is a haircut that requires professional help. The barber shaves the sides and back of your head leaving the top part to be styled in any way you want.

The buzz haircut is trendy and stylish. It will make your hair look thicker and give you that perfect look for the new era.

The short length on the sides and partially shaved top makes this style an easy choice for any man who wants to look clean and well-groomed.

French Crop Haircut

The French crop is a variation of the buzz cut, but it includes rounded corners. It gives you some extra length on top, which you are going to love. Many people prefer the French crop haircut because it is incredibly easy to style.

But what you need to know about this popular men’s haircut is that your hair needs to be thick enough for the shape to fully develop.

As for the maintenance, you need to shave your head at least once a week and apply a matte finish gel.

If you have an oval face shape, you might want to try out this hairstyle, because it will make your look more masculine. If you have a receding hairline, this is the perfect haircut for you. Additionally, if your hair is straight and thin, you should also try it!

Ivy League Haircut

For a classic and elegant look, you can’t go wrong with the Ivy League haircut. This is a favorite haircut for businessmen who want to make a great first impression. There aren’t going to be any frills here, but the short back and sides are perfect if you don’t want your hairstyle to be too eye-catching.

If you have a square face, you should consider getting the Ivy League haircut with a low fade on the sides and back. This will accentuate your facial features without being too overwhelming.

Short Top Skin Fade Haircut

This haircut is a great option if you want to look good but don’t have too much time for styling your hair in the morning. The fade haircut involves tapering the sides and keeping them short.

This hairstyle looks great even on formal occasions when paired with a suit. And it doesn’t require too much styling which makes it a favorite among busy men.

Super clean and fresh, this look is going to make you stand out from the crowd! The clean has been popular for quite some time now and there is a reason for that. All the models and celebrities love this haircut because it looks clean and neat all day long.

The Male Pixie Cut Hairstyle

For men who are looking for a new haircut, the male pixie cut might be the perfect style. It’s short on the sides and back with long hair on top to create an extra touch of masculinity.

This is a great option if you want to try something different but don’t want to go too extreme with your look. The male pixie haircut will make you feel like a million bucks!

The male pixie haircut is a short, layered haircut that has been popular for females for years. It’s now becoming increasingly popular with males as well. This style is trendy and easy to maintain.

Military Haircut Style

The military haircut style is a short haircut that you see on many soldiers. It’s a squared-off look with the sides and back buzzed to about 1/4″ long, while the top is left slightly longer so it can be parted or brushed down in front.

This style has been around for decades because of its practicality–it’s easy to keep neat and takes up less time getting ready each morning than other styles like the brush-back or pompadour. It also makes it easier for men (and women!) who serve our country to get their hair cut without worrying about finding someone who knows how to do an updated version of this old school, classic hairstyle.

A military haircut is a cut that is traditionally short, but not too extreme. It was popularized in the early 20th century by Army barbers who needed something that would be easy to maintain on men with short hair. The style has since gone through many changes and variations, but the basic principles are still used today. Here’s an overview of what it means when someone asks for a military haircut!

Curly Haircut Style

Curly hair is considered to be the most difficult type of hair for men to manage. It requires a lot of maintenance when it comes to grooming, which can seem like an annoying task.

There are many different styles of curly haircuts for men, but it is important to understand that not all curly hair is the same. Therefore, you should know what type of curls you have before getting a haircut.

If your natural curl pattern is tight and wavy, then you may want to go with short hairstyles like the Pompadour or Caesar cut. On the other hand if your natural curl pattern has loose waves or loose curls, then longer hairstyles will work better for you.

When picking out a style make sure to find one that suits your face shape as well as personality traits such as profession and age group so stay tuned for more tips on how to choose what kind of haircut best suits you!

Disconnected Undercut Haircut

A disconnected undercut haircut is a popular hairstyle for men that features the hair on one side of the head cut short, while the other side remains long. This style can be worn as either a low maintenance or high-level styling option and is perfect for those who want to look good without spending too much time doing so.

Men are always looking for the latest hair trends. Disconnected undercut haircuts popped up in the past few years and became very popular with men who want to look clean-cut, but still have a modern hairstyle.

This haircut is done by cutting short layers around your head so it stays mostly flat. The disconnected undercuts also give you some height at the crown of your head which adds volume to your mane. You can’t go wrong with this type of haircut because it looks good on any guy!

Pompadour Haircut Style

The Pompadour Haircut is a type of haircut that was popular in the 1950s and 1960s. It has made a comeback recently because it is now seen as fashionable, stylish, and hipster-cool. The style requires an undercut on the sides to create volume at the top.

This haircut can be styled with hair wax or pomade for texture. There are several variations of the pompadour cut which include slicked back, messy updo, combed up etc. This article will help you understand more about this fashionable haircut style that can be sported both casually as well as formally!

Slick Back Pompadour Haircut

You have been asking yourself, what is a Slicked Back Pompadour Haircut? Well, the answer to that question is above. It’s an updated version of the classic Pompadour haircut with slicked-back hair on top and short sides. This look has been made popular by celebrities such as David Beckham or Jake Gyllenhaal.

Slick Back Pompadour Haircut which consists of combing hair with some type of styling product (such as gel) into an exaggerated side part with volume towards the front or top/crown area then slicking it

Semi-long and Slicked Back Haircut

Many men believe that they are unable to grow their hair past a certain length because of the way it looks on them. This is not always true, but in some cases, it can be true.

The key thing to remember when deciding if this hairstyle will work for you is your personality type and how much time you want to spend styling your hair each day. A semi-long slicked back haircut would look best with thick coarse hair that naturally has waves or curls in it.

It also requires more effort on the part of the wearer than other haircuts because it takes at least 10 minutes brushing out before using any product, then 15 minutes more while applying the product and combing through again until everything comes together right!

Quiff Haircut Style

Do you often find yourself looking in the mirror and wishing you had a little more hair? Well, there is a perfect haircut style for men with thinning hair. It’s called quiff. Quiffs are styles that work well on both short and long hairstyles. A quiff is a type of pompadour where instead of combing back the front area of your hair, it is slicked up and over to one side so it covers part of your forehead or temple area.

The best thing about this cut is that it can be done on any length as long as your stylist has enough hair to work with! If you’re ready for an easy way to cover up those pesky bald spots then consider this haircut style from now on!

If you are looking for a new haircut, why not try the quiff hairstyle? The classic Quiff hairstyle is typically worn by men with short hair or shaved sides. It can be styled into an all-over voluminous style, or left to stand up in front.

The quiff has been popularized by many celebrities including David Beckham and Zayn Malik. It’s also known as the Pompadour in some parts of Europe.

Shorter Quiff Haircut

The modern shorter quiff hairstyle is a sleek, sophisticated look that will work well for men with thinning hair. It’s perfect for those who want to give their hair a fresh new style without making it too short or dramatic.

Side Part Hairstyle

The side part hairstyle is a classic men’s haircut that was popularized in the 1920s. It has been worn by some of the most iconic men in history, including James Dean and Harry Styles. Today, it remains one of the most popular hairstyles for guys all over the world thanks to its versatility and timelessness.

Side parted hairstyles are the perfect way to get that masculine look. What’s even better is that you can experiment with different styles without feeling too risky.

This type of haircut creates a cool, casual look that is perfect for work or everyday use. The best thing about this style is the versatility it offers because it can be worn clean-cut or slicked back with a product depending on your mood and needs. You will also find plenty of tutorials online to help you get what you want from your hair!

Slicked Back Hairstyle

Men have been wearing slicked back hairstyles for at least a hundred years. In the 1920s, it was thought of like a movie star’s hairstyle and in the 50s it became associated with greasers. Slicking your hair back is also sometimes called “wet combing.” There are many advantages to this haircut, including that it can be styled using just your fingers or a comb and will stay in place all day long.

There are many different styles of hair, but one style that is always popular with men is the slicked back hairstyle. This type of hairstyle comes in a variety of ways and can be worn up or down. It also looks great on just about any hair color.

Some people may think it doesn’t look good, but there are plenty who disagree with them too!

Wavy Haircut Styles

The wavy hairstyle is a great way to get your hair off of your face while still looking masculine. It also offers you the ability to style it in many different ways, so if you are tired of wearing your hair in the same old man bun or ponytail, this might be the solution for you!

The wavy hairstyle can be a great way to show off your natural hair texture and style. The first step for this type of hairstyle is figuring out your face shape before deciding which haircut will work best for you.

360 Waves Hairstyle

360 Waves Haircut is a modern haircut that combines the strict lines of classic haircuts with the flowing, natural look of waves. It’s perfect for guys who want to keep things simple but still have some fun. This style has been growing in popularity thanks to its versatility and low maintenance levels.

Textured Top Haircut

A textured top haircut is one of the most popular haircuts for men these days. The cut starts off with a longer length on top, while gradually getting shorter towards the back and sides. It’s a versatile style that works well with any type of hair texture from thick to thinning, straight to curly, short or long.

The only downside with this type of hairstyle is that it tends to be more expensive than traditional cuts because there are more steps involved in order to achieve it.

A textured haircut is characterized by the stylist pulling out strands of hair while cutting, which creates a choppy texture. This can be achieved on wet or dry hair and provides an edgier look than some other haircuts. The cut often includes layered pieces with longer lengths in the back. It’s important to find a good stylist who knows how to work with your desired length and texture so that you get the perfect cut for you!

Classic Short Haircut

A classic haircut is a timeless hairstyle that will never go out of style. It’s a great option for men who want to maintain a professional appearance, but don’t want to be confined by the same boring haircut year after year. It is a style with no frills and little to no hair on the top of your head. If you are looking for a clean-cut look without too much fuss, this may be the perfect hairstyle for you!

Striking and Messy Hairstyle

What is a striking and messy hairstyle? It’s an edgy look that features wild, unkempt hair. This style works best for men with medium or long-length hair who want to experiment with new looks. The problem many of these guys face is how to create this hairstyle without looking like they just rolled out of bed!

Striking and messy hairstyles are the perfect way to make a statement. This is an easy style that can be done on almost any hair type, but it will stand out best if your hair is thick. If you have thin or fine hair, this would work better for people with medium-length or long locks.

Spiky Hairstyle

A spiky hairstyle is a type of haircut that creates sharp points on the hair to give it an edgy look. The spikes are often high and tight, but can also be longer and softer if desired. A short cut with short spikes will usually need a hair product to hold, while long hair will need gel or wax for hold.

It is not about length but about the texture. Hair can be cut in a line, spiky, or have spikes all over. There are many different types of spikes to choose from like Mohawk, Fauxhawk and Undercut Spike (also known as undercut). It can also be done with hair gel or wax. A good idea for men who want to try out this hairstyle is to refer to the images above to find a suitable model.

Mini Pompadour Haircut

The Mini Pompadour Haircut is a new haircut that has been trending. It’s also called the Modern Quiff or The Faux Hawk, and it is an updated version of the traditional pompadour hairstyle. This style features short hair on top with slightly longer front pieces styled to one side in a faux hawk fashion.

THE SOKUDO: Ash Thorp Envisions What A Future Tesla Motorcycle Would Look Like

The competitive EV market sees many manufacturers strive to outdo each other at every opportunity. Most never make an impact, while others have taken a slice out of Tesla’s massive share. Right now, the company has two major platforms in development – the Cybertruck and the Semi. Meanwhile, a concept called THE SOKUDO, shows us what could be in the works.

In truth, the all-electric motorcycle segment also reports a steady growth. Even some of the world’s leading brands are now considering emission-free versions of their most popular models. To date, Elon Musk has yet to share any hints of interest regarding the subject of two-wheelers.

Thus, it’s up to design groups like Ash Thorp to give us a preview of what one would look like. Taking cues from the angular outline of the Cybertruck and the Cyberquad, THE SOKUDO sports a sharp silhouette. If Tesla does eventually dabble in electric motorbikes, this might as well be the source of inspiration.

THE SOKUDO is one of many digital renders created by the San Diego-based concept artist and Carlos “colorsponge” Pecino. It is part of their M.H.C. Collection. At this point, technical specifications are unavailable, but the frame should house a high-capacity battery and a powerful electric motor.

From what we can gather from the images, the matte black polygonal fairings of THE SOKUDO could be a mix of carbon fiber and aluminum. A custom swingarm and inverted fork sit on carbon fiber wheels with massive brake discs that peek out. However, the absence of a traditional seat might make the ride a bit uncomfortable for long trips.

Fad or Forever? Distressed Jeans for Every Budget

distressed jeans

Todd Snyder

Although jeans with holes, whether earned or edited on by an AI, are a surefire way to upset those older, at least in mindset, than you, they’re a fashion statement nonetheless. But they probably weren’t that way at first. Someone slipped and fell, and their knee forced its way through the fabric. Boom, distressed denim. Realizing it wasn’t worth the trouble, neither financial nor physical, to fix or replace them, said person wore theirs, with its own newfound badge of honor, around town.

Others likely followed suit — especially when cooler folks were doing it. When musicians representing rock’n’roll or grunge gutted their jeans on stage or while skateboarding, the kids that looked up to them took scissors to theirs, transforming a slight tear into a complete blowout. Over time, distressing turned into a tool for designers seeking to separate their styles from others — even though rips and tears were once something jeans only inherited with actual wear.

Imitating blue collar or broken-in clothing’s been high fashion for a while now, though. It’s why Carhartt and Dickies clothes endure; it’s why vintage clothes (and especially Levi’s jeans) are so sought after. Nowadays it’s easy to find jeans that look like they’ve spent long nights in the studio or years on the legs of someone perfecting kick flips (with plenty of falls) — and at nearly every price.

But, here’s a bit of priceless advice you should heed pre-purchase: don’t overdo it on the holes; don’t buy a pair with impossible embellishments; never let more than two square inches of skin show through. Shop a few options that abide by these guidelines below.

Best Overall Distressed Jeans

Slim Fit Selvedge Jean

Todd Snyder

Todd Snyder’s distressed jeans have tiny rips and tears that look like they came from brushing up against a work bench or putting tools in your pockets over and over again. They follow our few golden rules and then some. Think of these as a head start: you get a few tears but will earn plenty more with wear.

Best Upgrade Distressed Jeans

Distressed Selvedge Denim Jeans

Well, well, well. Jeans without holes! A-ha! Japanese brand Chimala makes some of the finest denim in the world, and it happens that this pair comes with its own pre-made marks: tiny paint spots up and down the legs and a subtle repair on the right thigh.

Best Affordable Distressed Jeans

Varick Slim Straight Distressed Jean

Ralph Lauren

This is an option for those who feel you shouldn’t overpay for already-broken-in jeans. Ralph Lauren’s come with repaired tears at the knee and in the front pocket.

So High Slim Fit Jeans

Levi’s new retro-tinged So High jeans have the highest rise in their current collection. Not so much high-waisted as they hiked up, they flatter folks with short and long legs alike. And these come with a singular, realistic rip.

The Asher

Joe’s Jeans

Here’s another solid option with a trio of believable blemishes. The Asher is an otherwise ultra-durable jean from the folks at Joe’s.

Denim Pant Vintage Blue Rips

Invest in a pair of jeans that look vintage but don’t force you to inherit the habits of the previous wearer: no weird stains in the crotch or butt, cigarette burns, or oil spills. These are a fresh start with tatters to boot.

The Kane 2

John Elliott

John Elliott’s The Kane 2 might be the most exaggerated example of distressed jeans on this list. Feeling like walking around in bottoms that look plucked from the bottom of a thrift bin? Be my guest.

Distressed Knee Blue Jeans

Val Kristopher

Designer Val Kristopher treats clothing, and specifically denim like a jigsaw puzzle — but his pieces are anything but perfect. He prefers distressing and design elements that look etched together. Hence why these have a rip where they’ve already been repaired.

Chitch Jean

Ok, I know. I’ve recommend a pair of jeans that break my three golden rules. Not only are there way too many holes, but these, frankly, don’t look all that realistic. But let’s imagine they are, and you’ve earned every single one of them in some way or another. If nothing else, these make for the ideal summer jean: the breeze will blow right through them.

2003 Loose Jean

Acne Studios

And the award for fewest rips goes to…Acne Studios. At this point, one might wonder they’d add them at all? Like, why bother putting two scrapes above the thigh instead of selling them standard? Well, it isn’t always about the thing as a whole but rather the finer details.

Sculpture 03 Damaged-25 Jean

As the name implies, Visvim’s Sculpture 03 Damaged-25 Jean will run you as much as a sculpture would. Think of these Japanese jeans as art — and, well, invest in ’em.

Lean Dean

Nudie Jeans

Nudie pays careful attention to every detail on these Lean Dean jeans. They look broken-in, but not excessively so, and then repaired — and perhaps the same steps repeated over again.

Get The Most Of Your Leisure Time With The Help Of Segway’s Navimow Robot Lawnmower

Picture this. It’s the weekend and you wake up with plans to just spend the day relaxing. You have movies in mind, online games to play with friends, or maybe fire up the grill for some barbecue. Unfortunately, you suddenly remember that lawn needs to be mowed. Bummer, right? Not if you have the Navimow from Segway.

Unless, you’ve been living under a rock, the brand is no longer just dealing with two-wheel mobility solutions. Instead, we have been seeing cool creations such as go-karts, cloud-controlled kick scooters, roller skates, and side-by-sides, to name a few. Thus, the Navimow is another welcome surprise.

Robot lawnmowers are not exactly new, but most of the ones available right now have bothersome limitations. Owners normally need to dig and set up a perimeter, so the machine does not go astray. Next thing you know, it could already be on a neighbor’s lawn or on the street.

Segway, on the other hand, equips the automated tool with multiple sensors. With the Navimow app, users can outline a virtual boundary. It uses Extra Fusion Locating System to tackle sophisticated terrain layouts. Moreover, the system automatically alerts you along with its location to prevent theft.

Using advanced algorithms with the help of its cutting-edge positioning system, it determines the most efficient mowing pattern. This means the Navimow never passes the same area twice. At only 54 dBA, you can even take a nap outside while it works away. Finally, the IPX6 construction makes it easy to clean and withstand sudden showers.

Play ReBird: How Arc’teryx Aims to Save the Planet — and Your Wallet

A lot can happen in two years. Just ask Arc’teryx. In 2019, the North Vancouver-based brand entered the circular economy with its Used Gear program, enabling customers to send back gently worn apparel for store credit — and others to snag those refurbished goods at sweet prices. Famed for its performance, durability and style, Arc’teryx processed 5,000 trade-ins in the first six months, and the following year the program more than doubled in size. The signal was clear: Consumers were voting for sustainability with their dollars, and the sky was the limit.

“We saw an enormous amount of interest in used gear and alternatives to brand-new products,” says Katie Wilson, Senior Manager of Sustainability at Arc’teryx. “Two years later, demand remains super high and products sell out incredibly fast. This has created an opportunity to try other pilots, all under the umbrella of ReBird.”

Wilson has been at the helm of the Sustainability team for the past year and a half and oversaw the launch of its Science-Based Targets, emissions reductions and renewable energy goals approved by a worldwide consortium aiming to keep the global temperature increased below 2 degrees Celsius.

What’s that mean for you? Cool new initiatives under the ReBird program, like a recent one that collects end-of-roll materials and upcycles them into new products like the Stowe Windshell ReBird ($179) and Rush Jacket ReBird ($749), for starters.

The Stowe Windshell ReBird (left) and Rush Jacket ReBird (right) are both made from surplus materials.

Arc’teryx

Wilson says the targets for the ReBird program aren’t public just yet, as her team works internally to quantify the impacts of its carbon emissions. “What I can say is that the science-based targets are our most urgent priority as a team and a business,” she reveals. “Our strategy is to avoid fast fashion at all costs.”

“We knew that an end of a roll was sitting in a factory but we didn’t have enough information to make it useful for us. Collecting and streamlining the data for sourcing took more work.” —Katie Wilson, Senior Manager of Sustainability

As a whole, Arc’teryx aims to reduce 65 percent of its greenhouse emissions by 2030. Wilson says current estimates show that ReBird may account for roughly 10 percent of that reduction. The rest of the reductions will come from renewable energy investments, energy efficiency in the supply chain and sourcing lower-carbon materials.

For ReBird to hit its lofty goals, it will need to scale significantly. Wilson is the first to admit the line of products under ReBird and its platform of information on circular economy need to grow. “We know many of our customers want to buy responsibly — the Used Gear program showed us,” she explains. “Now we need to help others shift their buying behaviors, too.”

katie wilson and dominique showers
Senior Manager of Sustainability Katie Wilson (left) and VP of Recommerce Dominique Showers (right) are leading Arc’teryx’s push toward more earth-friendly practices.

Arc’teryx

The challenge isn’t just the demand side of the formula. Arc’teryx also needs to expand the supply side of ReBird. Wilson says the biggest hurdle in upcycling is tracking and managing materials, which starts with a full restructure of the system.

“We knew that an end of a roll was sitting in a factory but we didn’t have enough information to make it useful for us,” she says. “We needed to analyze and assess the quantity and colors, and what would be acceptable together. It isn’t hard from a manufacturing standpoint to make the upcycled products, but collecting and streamlining the data for sourcing took more work.”

Arc’teryx hopes to make the process more efficient and increase the volume of upcycled products soon. “We’re trying to streamline the manual aspects that inherently make it more expensive,” Wilson notes. “The program as a whole creates an opportunity for lower-price point gear, which has the potential to bring in an entirely new customer.”

“Any used garment is cheaper than new. That inherently makes it a better price/value proposition. Over half our ReBird customers are younger and new to the brand.” —Dominique Showers, VP of Recommerce

That aspect is hard to miss: Not only can programs like this one benefit the environment, but also the business — and its fans. The Used Gear program, after all, offers products at 30 percent off MSRP, if not more.

“It depends on the age, quality and length of repair, but any used garment is cheaper than new,” says Dominique Showers, VP of Recommerce at Arc’teryx. “That inherently makes it a better price/value proposition. Over half our ReBird customers are younger and new to the brand.”

But Showers emphasizes that the emergence of this new fan base isn’t merely price driven. People love the story behind the piece of gear, she says, noting that products sell much faster when they have an obvious fix that tells that story. If that seems odd to you, consider the seemingly endless popularity of distressed jeans.

“We’re continuing to learn and iterate,” adds Showers. “Small things like repair times to durability of older materials, all the way up to carbon savings.” Arc’teryx is starting to implement some of these lessons, like reducing carbon emissions through regional repair and services that are able to do the basic fixes like zippers, washing and reapplying DWR.

arc'teryx manufacturing process
Arc’teryx continues to evolve production processes to minimize impact while maximizing performance.

Arc’teryx

The ultimate goal, Showers says, is to “keep everything out of landfill, even the small off-cuts.” She concedes it’s a lofty aim, but not impossible. “In the past 6 months we’ve put pen to paper and made a path to reach it,” she says. “We need to integrate Recommerce into the Arc’teryx ecosystem to share the same customer experience. All of our business units need to work together, designing for repairability and sustainability, and then stand by the products when they are out in the world.”

Both Wilson and Showers say there is no template to follow. While the Used Gear program taught some lessons, ReBird is aiming much higher. To put it into perspective, this fall ReBird will save approximately 40,000 yards of materials from waste. That also translates to lower costs and emissions, as these products draw from existing materials instead of virgin sources.

“It’s still small,” Showers concludes. “But we’re on the right path.”

If You Love Watches, You Should Get to Know This Man

William Massena has been around the horological block. Several times, actually.

From moderating TimeZone during the early days of the internet to becoming the COO of famed auction house Antiquorum, Massena has been — and remains — on the cutting edge of the watch industry. His collection (or part of it, anyway) is now internet-famous, having been featured in an early episode of HODINKEE’s Talking Watches. But it’s his latest venture, which he dubbed Massena LAB, that has this seasoned watchaholic most excited.

Massena LAB is more than just a boutique watch brand — it’s a sort of horological think tank, a place where Massena and his partners and friends can explore the “what ifs” of industrial design, horological history, and art. From affordable collaboration watches to high-end haute horlogerie, the LAB has turned out some of the most compelling watches of the past few years.

But don’t let me talk your ear off — let’s hear from the man himself as he explains his origins, his journey through the watch industry, and his latest horological venture.

This interview has been edited for length and clarity.

      The Interview

Where were you born and where did you grow up, and where did your interest in watches come from?

I was born in the south of France and went to School in Switzerland. So I spent my summers on the French Riviera and my winters in Switzerland — not the worst places to grow up. I was very lucky. I received my first watch at 7 and I was immediately hooked. My first watch was followed by digital Seikos of the early 1980’s. I bought a Rolex with my first job and from there started my collector journey.

You were the managing director of TimeZone (a prominent online watch forum) for many years. Was this something you fell into alongside a full-time job in another industry?

In early 1995 I was a banker working for a large investment bank in Manhattan. I had a Bloomberg terminal at work and my employer got me an internet account with a 14.4kbps modem at home. The first search I did on Alta Vista was “Rolex Sea Dweller” — TimeZone.com was then a single web page on a Singaporean Rolex dealer website. I started participating in asking and answering questions among two dozen collectors — this was the prehistoric ages of watches on the internet. It was just a fun place to learn about watches for me.

      Massena LAB

At what point did you decide that perhaps watches were going to become your full-time gig? How did you come to be in the sales/auction side of the business?

After I left banking, I started a real estate company with two other partners. I was traveling extensively in the USA and Europe, and I was getting tired of it. In 2001 I decided to sell my shares to my partners and I opened a small watch store in Miami which was an authorized dealer for a few brands such as Hamilton, Bell & Ross, and Breitling. A few years later I opened a vintage store on Madison Avenue. I was still involved with Timezone, first as a moderator, then as a Director of Strategy. In 2006, I had an offer to buy the store in Miami and I closed the store in New York. TimeZone had just been purchased by Antiquorum, the watch auction house, and I became TimeZone Managing Director. A year later, Osvaldo Patrizzi, the founder of Antiquorum was ousted by its board of directors. I was asked to join the company and became the company COO and moved to Geneva while remaining at TimeZone.

Can you explain a bit about Massena Lab and how it began?

In 2015, TimeZone was celebrating its 20th anniversary and I wanted to celebrate by releasing a limited edition of 20 watches. I approached Habring, the Austrian watch company, to make a monopusher chronograph — it was a very successful edition. We followed up in 2016 with the TZ21, a deadbeat 39mm watch that was even more successful. Both watches were my idea, and I had a few more ideas — I also wanted to work with a few more people. Massena LAB was born.

      Massena LAB

Massena LAB has partnered with diverse brands at very different price points. How do you decide who you’d like to work with, and on what type of project?

Massena LAB’s philosophy is centered around the concept that we are enthusiastic about an idea we have or that has been pitched to us. I feel that my job is very similar to (that of) a movie producer: I pitch an idea of a watch (script) to a watch brand (director) — they talk to their watchmakers (actors) and we decide if everyone likes the project. Massena LAB then finances the project and makes sure that the watch (movie) is as per the idea that we had. We then do the distribution and sell the watch to collectors. You have famous producers who are also movie directors, and finally you can have a huge stable with your own directors and actors, which is a studio. I’d rather produce small indie movies than large studio blockbusters.

If there is a unifying “theme” to a Massena LAB collaboration watches — from a sub-$1K watch to something costing many thousands of dollars — what would it be?

I follow my gut based on my experience as a watch collector. I also think that I have a sense of aesthetics that people will perceive in the offerings over the years. I am a stickler for small details that most people don’t notice but that are important to me.

massena lab uni racer holiday collection
      Massena LAB Uni-Racer Holiday Collection

      Massena LAB

The Uni-Racer, your first standalone watch, is an extremely faithful recreation of a particularly rare Universal Genève that’s prohibitively expensive on the vintage market. Do you intend to pursue other such projects that rethink rare vintage references?

To keep the analogy to movies: The Uni-Racer was a remake of the famed Uni-Compax — I needed to start with that watch to see if I could handle a watch project by myself. The script was written for me and that was difficult because I could not go along and say, “Well, I cannot surmount this problem, therefore my watch will look like this.” The blue hands of the Uni-Racer are really tough to reproduce and that challenge was important for me to achieve. Will I revisit other rare vintage references? I hope so, because it is something I really enjoy and it makes me appreciate the original even more, but I will do it with the original brand involved.

You’re a noted collector and have been featured on HODINKEE’s Talking Watches, in which you showcase a wide variety of pieces, from military watches to haute horlogerie. What informs your collecting these days? Are you focused on any particular theme, or is it more about the individual watch?

My focus is on Massena LAB. I make the watches I want to put on my wrist and I am taking 250 or sometimes 200 collectors along with me on that ride.

      mbf x l’epee x massena lab t rex bronze

      Massena LAB

You’ve accumulated an enormous amount of insider industry knowledge in your career and have truly “seen it all.” What’s exciting to you in watches right now? What do you look forward to going forward after the upheaval of 2020?

COVID has flipped the script in watch collecting. The last ten years since the financial crisis, we saw the rise of vintage watches in general and vintage Rolex in particular. With COVID, we are now back into modern watches. Rolex is there again, but also the independents and modern sports watches from makers such as Audemars Piguet and Patek. If this holds for a while we may see a new generation of independent brands from younger watchmakers. This is really exciting.

Are there any new projects — whether at Massena Lab or otherwise — that are on the horizon that you’re excited about?

We are about to launch a project with watchmaker Luca Soprana — this will be an exclusive Massena LAB movement made by hand. We called this project Old School and I am very excited about it. I literally call or text him every day to get updates. I cannot wait to wrap that watch around my wrist.

Survivors of a failed climate-change experiment that wiped out most of all life forms on earth are forced to ride their lives out in a perpetually moving train called the Snowpiercer. Inside, a caste system dictates who gets to live or die.

Naturally, those who fall in the lower class are subjected to prejudice. They live in inhospitable conditions cramped up in the farthest part of the train. They struggle to live through meager food rations.

Meanwhile, the affluent continue to live like there is no suffering, sickness, and death happening farther down. They live in grandeur, unaware of the strife that surrounds them.

As with any class system, there tends to be a revolution against discrimination. This film culminates with those poor brave ones making the journey forward to revolt against their unjust treatment. They risk their lives for a taste of justice and opulence.

Snowpiercer may be set in a steampunk, dystopian future but its story is very raw and real. It tells of despair and rage and of the hopelessness that poverty can bring.

Mercedes-Benz Unveils Its Future Fleet Of All-Electric Models At IAA Mobility 2021

When Mercedes-Benz – like most leading carmakers – announced their plans for a greener future, we were eager to see what they had in development. Among the upcoming platforms that were in development, only the EQS was getting a lot of publicity. Now, we are finally getting a glimpse at its future lineup and it’s a thrilling one.

Although many of its contemporaries are already regularly releasing emission-free rides, Mercedes-Benz is approaching electrification carefully. Instead of just swapping out the traditional powertrain with an electric configuration, the German luxury marque is considering the features shipping alongside their EVs.

With every other automotive manufacturer subjecting their popular models to electrification, Mercedes-Benz is apparently doing the same. After all, there’s no reason to alienate longtime clients who typically prefer something familiar. So electric conversion appears to be the only feasible solution.

We got a preview of its all-electric fleet at the 2021 IAA Mobility expo. Among the machines that were unveiled, the Concept ECG made a huge splash. It manages to capture the beloved boxy outline of the G-Class 4×4 with lots of LED lighting to denote its zero-emission stand.

If it’s a sleek SUV on your mind, the Mercedes-Benz EQB should take care of that. After debuting the EQS several months ago, its high-performance subsidiary is joining the fun for the EQS 53 4MATIC+. Moreover, for a slightly more forgiving price point, there’s the EQE350 which boasts the best range among the sustainable sedans.

Finally, Mercedes-Benz caters to its most discerning buyers who demand something truly elegant. The Concept EQS Mercedes-Maybach is pure luxury from all aspects. The designers are carefully keeping the signature look of the brand. Of course, the interior shows us just how lavish an EV can go.

Trend Watch: Differio Is Here to Level Up Your Menswear

    image

Lockdown may have put our wardrobes in a temporary funk, but with restrictions easing up and businesses reopening, we could all use a new haul of trendy men’s clothing now more than ever. As some people return to work while others continue telecommuting, it’s difficult to forecast what fashionable men’s clothing will look like in a post-pandemic world.

Whether you’re feeling totally lost or just looking for OOTD inspiration, we’ve got you covered with today’s biggest menswear trends. And if there’s anyone to watch for upcoming trends, it’s definitely Gen Z – the largest and most ethnically diverse generation in American history according to Intelligence Insider. Stereotyped as the most tech-influenced generation yet, they’re giving the green light on the most unexpected men’s streetwear styles with a digital flair like formerly tacky designer jeans for men from the Y2K era.

While some trendy menswear stores are rebranding their image to appeal to Gen Z buyers, Differio is among today’s top online men’s clothing stores that’s already benefiting from Gen Z’s “wokeness” for cultural diversity and gender inclusivity. Offering a wide selection of trendy men’s clothing online for any occasion, male shoppers rely on Differio for original statement pieces that they can’t get at traditional men’s clothing shops, like rainbow kilts and designer speedos.

Based on Google’s current U.S. search trends, more male shoppers are seeking fashionable men’s clothing online in unorthodox designs, such as male rompers, crop tops, and meggings. Popular TV shows are even portraying male leads in a fluid fashion, like David Rose’s kilt-and-pants ensembles in Schitt’s Creek. More importantly, this increasing demand for progressive trends means men’s fashion still has plenty of room beyond basic button-down shirts and khaki chino pants.

Want to get ahead of this season’s most fashionable clothing for men? Here are today’s top menswear trends getting Gen Z’s stamp of approval that you can cop at Differio.

    Y2K FASHION

Still have a pair of men’s designer jeans from 2002 buried in your closet? They might actually be the most fashionable men’s jeans you own soon. Whether you’re totally digging it or still in denial, fashionable men’s clothing from the 00s era is cycling back. Y2K fashion was all about excess, like P. Diddy’s matching tracksuits and Justin Timberlake’s denim-on-denim suit.

Today’s Y2K-inspired trends are a cool balance of retro and urban clothing for men, like oversized t-shirts, camp shirts, and chunky sneakers. Get the look at Differio by checking out their selection of fashionable men’s jeans and shirts revamped with patchwork stitching, saturated washes, and blingy embellishments.

    GOTHCORE

The gothcore trend is an edgy combination of punk alternative clothing with 90s-grunge influences. Steeped in goth-punk culture, gothcore guys are known for those signature black-on-black outfits. Although the black monochromatic look is a staple, you can still modernize any outfit by playing with contrasting colors, like layering men’s colored jeans with a black top.

Check out Differio’s gothic men’s clothing online, such as leather pants, velvet coats, latex shirts, and biker jeans. You can even score dangerously sexy clothes for men, like see-through fishnet shirts, for a goth-inspired clubbing outfit.

    MAXIMALIST MILITARY

Today’s utilitarian gear reimagines men’s trendy clothing styles with maximum edge. Military fashion is all about harnessing that big army energy with colorful prints and embroidered patches. Anything but minimalist – don’t be afraid to venture outside the conventional color palette of army fashion’s earthy tones.

To get the maximalist look at Differio, check out their trendy men’s clothing styles with pumped-up military flair, including two-tone camo jeans, utility bomber jackets, and knee-high combat boots. You can also score designer jeans for men stacked with metal hardware and rugged accents.

Afla Romeo Fan Will Love The GT Veloce Restomod From Emilia Auto

Alfa Romeo may be no longer on the same level as it was years before, but it remains a beloved marque among its fans. Those who ever owned one or still do will sing praises about its handling, performance, and design. Although the future of the brand is still in question, interested buyers should check out the GT Veloce.

This is not a new model but rather a remarkable restomod from Emilia Auto. Seeing as there are still people preferring classic silhouettes, they’re marketing a souped-up icon. The German establishment understands the appeal and thus approaches this build carefully.

Although it retains the old-school beauty, the GT Veloce tells a different story when it comes to what’s under the hood. The shop is taking out the original engine and replacing it with something more formidable. We’re certain it will meet or even exceed the expectations of discerning

For this project, they’re sourcing a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 from an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quradrifoglio. Dropping this in is thereby endowing the vehicle with about 500 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. Delivering this to all four wheels is an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

We can just imagine the surprise it brings to anyone foolish enough to look down on the compact ride. With the upgraded capability, it’s only natural for Emilia Auto to ensure everything holds up. Thus, The GT Veloce receives a new suspension system, a limited-slip differential, and Brembo brakes for good measure.

There’s also 19-inch custom wheels, vintage Recaro seats, a new steering wheel, and a sleek bodykit. The GT Veloce flaunts a sophisticated coat of crimson and Emilia Auto is only offering 22 of these magnificent machines at $470,000.
