Vans Introduces The Outdoor-Ready UltraRange EXO Hi GORE-TEX MTE-2

Folks who love to skateboard are familiar with Vans for its rugged footwear and apparel designed for their choice of recreation. The activity is now considered a sport and even debuted as an event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. After years of supplying products for skaters, the brand is now catering to thrill-seekers of another kind with the UltraRange EXO Hi GORE-TEX MTE-2.

The name is certainly a mouthful, but it’s probably a gimmick to promote what could be its new lineup. Vans did not specifically call it one, this might be their first-ever outdoor-ready shoes to hit the market. As the manufacturer points out, “The UltraRange EXO Hi GORE-TEX MTE-2 is the continuation of this purpose-built, adventure-based mindset.”

There you have it. they’re hinting that you can do more than just skateboard in any weather with these rugged boots on. Nonetheless, we can’t help but wonder regarding their choice of materials for its construction. Everybody knows that suede does not play well with moisture, but there’s an abundance of it on the upper.

You have it on the vamp, eyestays, and overlays, which won’t last long under constant exposure to the elements. On the other hand, Vans claims the suede, textiles, and synthetics of the UltraRange EXO Hi GORE-TEX MTE-2 are water repellent. Only time will tell if they are indeed. Breathable GORE-TEX membranes ensure everything inside is dry and ventilated.

Aside from breathability, additional comfort comes from the zonal Primaloft insulation. You’ll find it on the toe, tongue, and collar to keep your feet warm. Next are the EVA foam sockliner and UltraCrush EVA midsole. Finally, the UltraRange EXO Hi GORE-TEX MTE-2 touts remarkable traction and grip from the All-Trac rubber compound of its outsole.

No Two Dials Of The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Gold Crystal Will Ever Be Alike

How bespoke can watchmakers go? This is the question that plagues our affluent friends ask before they shop for their next wrist candy. When the price is not an issue, even the world’s leading brands will gladly build one according to your exact specifications. Hublot answers the call for one-of-a-kind luxury with the Spirit of Big Bang Gold Crystal.

There are practically endless ways to craft something unique. However, Hublot loves to push the boundaries when it comes to premium craftsmanship. Instead of just taking the easy way out and making a one-off model, they’re settling for cutting-edge methods in metallurgy. Yes, there is scientific wizardry at work here.

You might have already spotted it from the start given the murdered-out profile of the Big Bang Gold Crystal. Giving contrast to the almost all-black theme, are intricate yellow crystalline patterns set on the black backdrop of its dial. It is devoid of any markings save for the Hublot branding and “Swiss Made” text at 6 o’clock.

As the product page explains, to achieve this effect, Hublot dabbles in what many consider alchemy. In a way, it might seem like it, but the process involves 24-carat gold and extreme heat – 1947.52 degrees Fahrenheit to be exact. The precious metal’s vapors eventually merge as the temperature drops to create bespoke structures.

Only the perfect samples make it through a thorough selection, which is only 20% of each batch. Hublot presents the Big Bang Gold Crystal in a 42-mm black ceramic tonneau case. It boasts a combination of polished, satin, and matte finishes. Regulating its timekeeping is the HUB1710 self-winding caliber with a 50-hour power reserve. The timepiece is then paired to a black rubber/alligator leather strap with a deployant buckle clasp closure.

The Best Cheap Whiskey You Can Buy in 2021

Even when your whiskey budget is tight, the liquor store shelf beckons like a boozy vending machine. Whiskey, despite going off like a bomb this past decade, remains an affordable man’s game. But it’s also tough. If you have, say, a twenty and a fiver in your pocket, you are spoiled for choice. And while there are no right or wrong picks on the path to loving whiskey, some decisions might be wiser than others. Here are some of the best whiskeys to reach for, all affordable and well worth the price.

Maker’s Mark Bourbon Whisky

drizly.com

Distillery: Maker’s Mark
Proof: 90
Price: $20-$30
King of the Affordable Wheaters: The red wax seal; the Scottish spelling of “whisky.” It’s easy to love Maker’s and its quirks. Particularly easy, since it’s an affordable wheated bourbon. It’s got a big name, which sometimes pushes its price up — but in California, I find mine for $20 at Trader Joe’s. That’s hard to beat.

Wild Turkey 101

drizly.com

Distillery: Wild Turkey
Proof: 101
Price: $20-$25
Bang for Your Buck: Wild Turkey bourbon has been around for a long time, since the 1940s; its master distiller, Jimmy Russell, has too (his son Eddie Russell is a master distiller now too). Wild Turkey also makes an 80-proof bourbon, but the 101 is its true flagship. It has a mash bill that’s “high rye” (75 percent corn, 13 percent rye, 12 percent malted barley) and is aged in barrels with a deep char, then bottled at near barrel-proof. The result is a flavor bomb.

Old Overholt Rye Whiskey

totalwine.com

$17.99

Distillery: Jim Beam Distillery
Proof: 80
Price: $18
Cheap Rye, Big Flavor: A quintessential cocktail whiskey. Thanks to its low price and consistent, balanced flavor, Old Overholt has been a go-to choice by bartenders for decades now.

Old Forester Signature 100 Proof

Distillery: Old Forester Distilling Company
Proof: 100
Price: $25-$30
Classic Flavor Profile: Old Forester is indeed an old brand — at 150 years and going, it’s the longest-running bourbon brand. It’s so old that its big innovation was being sold only in sealed glass bottles. In the past few years the brand has gained some lost ground back in prestige, and the 100 proof is part of that. It’s a rich, flavorful bourbon with a mash bill that’s 70 percent corn, 18 percent rye, and 10 percent malted barley. In his 2019 Bible, Jim Murray called the Old Forester 86 “criminally under-rated,” and the same thing can be said for the 100-proof.

Early Times Bottled-in-Bond

drizly.com

Distillery: Brown-Forman / Sazerac
Proof: 100
Price: $25 (1L bottle)
Party Bourbon: Early Times, recently acquired from Brown-Forman by Sazerac, is one of the best kept secrets on the bottom shelf. Firstly, it comes in a one-liter bottles that are perfect for keeping as your home bar’s well bourbon or, even better, a bourbon to pull out when a crowd comes over. It’s also a really balanced bourbon that weds price, proof, age and flavor profile nicely.

Old Pulteney 12 Years

reservebar.com

$52.00

Distillery: Brown-Forman / Sazerac
Proof: 80
Price: $50
Budget Sipping Scotch: “Budget” is best considered in relative terms in the scotch world. No, $50 is not cheap whiskey, but it is cheap and good scotch. Old Pulteney’s 12-year has been a favorite of value-minded scotch drinkers for years, and you can still enjoy it for a good price today.

Larceny Small Batch

drizly.com

Distillery: Heaven Hill
Proof: 92
Price: $25-$30
The Alternative Wheater: Heaven Hill’s budget wheated bourbon took over for its Old Fitzgerald line of whiskies around 2012 (Old Fitz is available now in limited runs at high prices). Heaven Hill’s mash features 20 percent wheat, which is a slightly higher percentage than Maker’s. It’s an excellently balanced wheater, with notes of baking spices and lemon peel; the bottle I bought in place of my $20 Maker’s Mark has been emptied quickly.

Courtesy

Suntory Toki

mashandgrape.com

$40.00

Distillery: Suntory (multiple throughout Japan)
Proof: 86
Price: $40
Japanese Whisky on the Cheap: In all likelihood, if Toki were made in the U.S. it would be cheaper. But it’s not, so… it’s not. Toki is Suntory’s mass-produced highball whisky. It’s made up of a number of spirits created across the company’s Japanese distillery collection, and it is as clean and crisp a whisky as you’ll taste.

Buffalo Trace

drizly.com

Distillery: Buffalo Trace
Proof: 90
Price: $30
The Benchmark: Buffalo Trace’s flagship bottle is an industry standard — so much so that it often feels less exciting than its affordable competitors. But there’s much to be said for plain old quality. The juice in the buffalo bottle is aged at least eight years, according to BT, and it’s a younger version of some of the stuff that finds its way into some of bourbon’s most sought-after bottles. Its flavor isn’t as unique or punchy as some other bottles on this list, but it’s a great benchmark for simple, delicious “bourbony” flavors.

Old Grand-Dad 114

drizly.com

Distillery: Jim Beam
Proof: 114
Price: $25
Big Fat Bourbon: A quote from my editor, unedited: “OGD114 is the fullest, meatiest, fattiest cheap bourbon you can buy.” Don’t just take it from him: the stuff has a cult following. As it should. It’s cheap, it’s got huge flavors, and, if you sip it neat, it’ll get you drunk. With a mash bill of 63% corn, 23% rye, and 10% malted barley, it’s a study in the power of secondary grains.

Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage

drizly.com

Distillery: Heaven Hill
Proof: 87
Price: $25-$30
Single Barrel Beauty: Single barrel whiskey is fun. You’re not drinking the blender’s best shot at bourbon — you’re sampling the boozy fruit of a single tree, which tends to have distinct flavor characteristics. But then, that depends on the barrel you get, doesn’t it? The problem: that sort of delicacy costs you more money. Evan Williams must have a brilliant barrel program, because it does a solid job with this affordable version, with barrels that are usually between seven and eight years old. You can give it a taste and decide for yourself if you like what Evan Williams does with their whiskey.

Four Roses Yellow Label

drizly.com

Distillery: Four Roses
Proof: 80
Price: $20-$25
The Solid Blend: Bourbon dudes clamber for the small batch and single barrel versions from Four Roses. But this baseline bottle is made combining barrels from two high-rye mash bills, making it a balanced sipper or an excellent base for a cocktail.

Jim Beam Single Barrel

drizly.com

$35.00

Distillery: Jim Beam
Proof: 95
Price: $25-$30
The Beam Upgrade: It’s pulled from a single barrel of Jim Beam’s bourbon, which means you never know quite what you’re going to get. Overall though, it’s known as a steady-on whiskey, and a fun alternative version of your normal old black label Jim.

These New Specialized E-Bikes May Turn You Into a Believer

Are you an e-bike skeptic? As a long-time urban rider who is all in on the joy of human-powered pedals, I feel ya. But for more than a decade now, Specialized has been innovating in the electric space, building its own increasingly streamlined platforms from the ground up, dramatically rethinking road, gravel and mountain bikes to make them more accessible than ever.

And the brand’s latest news might be the widest-ranging yet: three active e-bikes — an overhauled Turbo Vado and Turbo Como plus the new Turbo Tero — that are smarter, quieter and more powerful than ever before.

I got a chance to test-ride the cruiser-like Como in Brooklyn last month, and while its step-through frame is not my go-to style, I came away hella impressed. It’s easy to mount (ideal for beginning riders), the controls are quite intuitive, and when you feel the need for speed, Class 3 pedal assistance kicks in seamlessly — seriously, Specialized has mastered electric power delivery — making any rider feel like a super-fast superhero.

The commuter-friendly Vado, meanwhile, has been a staple of Specialized’s e-bike offerings for at least four years; the latest generation boasts redesigned geometry for a quick, comfortable ride.

And the Tero might be the most versatile and intriguing of the bunch — a mountain bike-like beast that can easily go off-road or serve as an aggro urban bike with no fear of potholes.

Specialized Turbo Tero

Specialized

While each bike has its own personality, the line boasts a number of unifying upgrades that elevate it above the rash of e-bikes launched in the past few years. Here’s what stands out.

These New E-Bikes Deliver Smooth Power

Each bike boasts Specialized’s own 2.2 motor and MasterMind Turbo Control Display, enabling you to toggle between three speed modes — plus a walk-assist mode — topping out at 20 mph for the Tero and 28 mph for the Vado and Como. There are three versions of each bike — 3.0 to 5.0, priced from $3,250 to $5,500 — with derailleur drivetrains on lower-end options and maintenance-free belt drives paired with internal gear hubs at the higher levels. A little pedal-assist comes in handy when you are zipping around town, especially with up to 60 pounds of cargo on the integrated rear rack.

The New Specialized Bikes Offer Theft Protection

An all-new Turbo System Lock lets riders disable the bike’s motor and activate a motion sensor alarm through Specialized’s Mission Control app. No one can revive the motor except you, crushing crooks’ dreams and increasing peace of mind.

These E-Bikes Pack High-Tech Safety Features

All the bikes have integrated lighting, while higher-end models boast a truly next-level feature. Thanks to a rear-facing Garmin Radar sensor, you can receive visual, audible and haptic alerts of relative distance and speed when cars are coming behind you. That might be a bit much for seasoned riders, but having the equivalent of eyes in the back of your head is a potential boon for less-experienced riders navigating often-chaotic urban traffic.

Speaking of safety, Specialized is also launching a new low-pro Mode helmet (complete with adjustable fit, discreet ventilation and MIPS) plus an aerodynamic new pannier called Tailwind. Just a couple extra carrots in the brand’s quest to get more and more people riding — electrically or otherwise.

The Vado and Tero are available today, while the Como is up for pre-order and will be available later this fall.

How To Tell If A Girl Likes You: 23 Telltale Signs To Look Out For

“She likes me, she likes me not.” Chant these words a thousand times, but it won’t give you the exact answer. Besides, you just can’t rely on second-guessing whether the girl you like is into you or otherwise.

Interestingly, you don’t need to enroll in a course in women’s psychology either to tell that she likes you, too. You’d be surprised that generally, women are not as complex to read after all.

Here, we pick 23 sure-fire and telltale signs a girl likes you back. This comprehensive guide will help you find a match quicker. On the flip side, it will save you from the sting of being rejected or friendzoned just because you missed the obvious.

These signs are intentional and at times, subconscious ones. Women may either project signs through their body language or their behavior toward you around friends or in public. In whatever ways, the point being is you’d catch and read these clues right. Then, perhaps take things to the next level from there.

So, let’s start discussing the clear signs you need to look out for to know she is interested in you. Also, read some important caveats to remember at the end.

1Girl putting her lipstick on

She does the “catwalk” posture

Any girl who likes you wants to project her best self each time she’s near you. Subconsciously, she tries to improve her posture knowing you’re looking at her.

She licks her lips and accentuates her hips as models do on the catwalk as she walks past you, or what’s called the “catwalk posture.”

Add to that, she preens herself and puts herself together, which looks kind of hot. She runs her fingers through her hair, straightens her dress, pushes her neck out, stands tall, and pulls her stomach in.

A study by Monica M. Moore in 2010 reveals that women do preening, primping, and pouting when they’re around a man they are attracted to. They may even put a lip gloss on to look attractive. But let’s admit it. Men also often preen when they are around the girl they like.

2Open body language

She uses an open body language

Feet can give you a clue if a girl likes you. Yes, you read that right. Psychologists say how a girl moves her feet whenever you’re around is among the obvious non-verbal hint that someone likes you.

Why is it so? Because pretty often, we humans don’t mind our feet while being with one of romantic interest.

Now, if her feet tend to point toward you, read it as a good sign. If their feet point in another direction, say toward a door then don’t get your hopes up that she might be into you as well.

When she’s sitting with their feet away from her body, it means she’s relaxed around you and a telltale sign that she’s comfortable spending time with you. On the contrary, if she tends to sit with her legs tightly crossed, it means she’s uneasy or uncomfortable with you around.

Also, a woman’s body can subconsciously send clues to a man she’s attracted to, just like her feet. During a conversation with you, she draws her body closer to you and gives you her undivided presence, simply indicating that she also likes you.

If she does not move her body an inch toward yours, it’s a bad sign. You’re likely to be friendzoned.

3eye contact

She keeps longer eye contact

As per FBI behavioral analyst Jack Schafer, people look at people they like and avoid looking at people they don’t like. It makes sense, doesn’t it? A meeting of the eye pretty often means you are into each other.

So, how does it work exactly? A girl is interested in you if she keeps longer eye contact with you when you gaze at her. Once her eyes wander to your mouth, she’s clearly into you and even imagining you kissing her.

Some girls are shy types that she looks away quickly as soon as you catch her looking. If you notice her doing this, it’s best to close in on her and spark a conversation.

Another clear sign that she’s interested is when you two are out with friends, she looks at you first to see your reaction after saying something. The two of you meet eye to eye frequently. She also sees to it to sit close enough to you to have some personal space.

Now, a girl is most likely not interested when she avoids eye contact and rather looks around the room.

4breaking down touch barrier

She breaks down the “touch barrier”

This clear sign is an easy one to spot. A woman who likes you gets affectionate with you. She’s linking her arms to yours or lightly placing her hand on your legs when seated next to each other.

She’s touching your hair or she’s preening you, which means picking lint off your shirt. If she touched you more than five times particularly on the knee, shoulder, or arm, she’s breaking down the touch barrier.

Schafer emphasized that a woman may lightly touch the arm of the person they are talking to. But this light touch is not an invitation to a sexual encounter, rather it merely shows that she likes you.

To test the water if she likes you, try to lightly touch her hand. If she’s quick to pull away, she’s not comfortable with it. This could unnecessarily mean she’s not into you and she’s just nervous. She just needs time to feel comfy with you.

Note that it depends on how naturally affectionate she is as a person. You can crosscheck this sign by observing her with other people. When she’s also touchy-feely with the others, it’s not a good sign knowing she pulled away from you.

5being shy

She blushes

Blushing normally happens when a person is triggered by emotional stress associated with shyness, fear, anger, or romantic stimulation. You notice a pink tinge on a girl’s face when she blushes.

A woman would blush when she’s around you, even just by noticing her or smiling at her. Her face also turns red especially when you throw her a nice compliment on her looks. The caveat here, though, is that she doesn’t easily blush around other men, too.

6Mirroring

She mirrors your behavior

“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” This is an old saying that best explains why people mirror each other.

Simply put, we want to be like the ones we like and it’s as well true for any romantic connection. When a girl has a romantic attachment with you, she subconsciously mirrors your behavior and body language.

According to psychologists, mirroring is a huge sign that a girl you like has the same feelings for you. A girl you like shares the same level of energy you have or use the slang words you do. In this case, there’s good rapport and high attraction between the two of you.

Researcher and author Jane McGonigal of the New York Times bestseller, “Reality Is Broken,” defines mirroring as a “love detector.”

McGonigal explained that most often, we mirror the people we like with our facial expressions, body language, and even with our breathing and heart rates.

7nervous

She gets nervous

A girl is definitely into you if she gets nervous and awkward every time she’s with you. She tends to fidget while talking to you, so take notice of these subtle things. It’s either she talks less and lets you do the talking or she gets chatty with you.

You may want to take note of the seven body language clues which indicate that someone is nervous around you. It includes touching her face, blinking a lot, compressing her lips, or playing with her hair.

Also, she rubs her hands or squeezes them together, interlace her fingers, or even yawning, not because she’s bored. Yawning, according to research, helps regulate body temperature by breathing cool air into the nose and mouth.

Here’s a helpful tip: to make a girl you like to feel comfortable with you, be agreeable, and spark a warm, friendly conversation.

8Curious

She’s curious

Another telltale sign that a girl likes you is she’s pretty much curious about you. She asks you a lot of questions about yourself. That includes asking you about little things such as your favorite color, ice cream flavor, and whatnot.

She is also throwing personal questions about your life. It’s proof that she wants you to open up and let her into your depths. She’s up to keep your conversation going and interesting and develop a closer connection with you.

A woman isn’t into you if she seems not to care, there will be radio silence in between conversations. You’d notice that she’s not invested in talking with you, thus, not attracted to you.

9Speaks softer

She speaks softer

It’s an interesting fact to know that a girl alters the tone and pitch of her voice when talking to someone she’s into. Her voice gets softer and huskier. You can take it as a sign that she also likes you.

A 2014 study suggests that changes in pitch and tone are a natural act of human courtship. It further found that modulation F0 can up proception between couples during the early stages of dating.

10making plans

She makes plans with you

This social clue is dead obvious to indicate her interest in you. She won’t think twice to say yes when you invite her to eat out. If she already has other plans, she will reschedule. She’d tell you when she will be available.

A girl who likes you truly loves to spend time with you to know you better. Time just passes by and realize you have been bonding around each other for five hours.

When a special event comes up, she invites you to go with her. So, in the slightest, she is giving you a hint that she wants you to be a part of her future. This tells you from seeing a movie on weekend to attending weddings with her. If this happens, she’s totally into you.

11talking with friends

She tells her friends about you

Most, if not all women, usually tell their friends about a guy they’re interested in. It’s women’s nature to talk about a potential match with their closest friends to somehow know their opinion of you.

So, now you ask yourself how you would find out if she even told her circle of friends about you. Most often, she will unintentionally or give you a clue when she’d say things like, “My girlfriends would love to meet you!”

As she involves her friends in her state of affairs with you, it’s a clear signal that she wants more than just friendship. If she involves her friends along the way, she intends to hang around with you for a while. And see where it leads to.

12asking about dating life

She asks about your dating life

If a girl likes you, she starts to look at the chance of a romantic relationship with you. Hence, she wants to know if there’s anything that will get in the way like a girlfriend or special female friends.

Once she shows any indication that she’s jealous of other women in your life, this is a telltale sign that she has feelings for you.

13Glowing

She glows, literally

It’s a wonder what love does to a woman. She looks her best, she noticeably blooms like a flower. And Science has an explanation for this phenomenon.

When a girl feels an attraction toward the opposite sex, her body releases the love hormone known as Oxytocin which increases blood flow. An increased blood flow promotes a healthy flow of nutrients, resulting in that healthy glow.

So, when she’s into you, you make her glow. “When we like someone, our pores open, allowing more oil secretion and our skin gets shinier,” life coach and body language guru Tiffany Toombs explained.

Moreover, research from the University of Kent interestingly found that a woman’s pupils will dilate every time she looks at a man she’s attracted to. Try to check her pupils in standard light level to see if her eyes are bigger than average whenever she’s around you.

14revealing plans

She reveals her personal life

If a girl likes you, she won’t have trouble revealing her personal life to you. Even though you only went out or texted a few times, your conversation goes deeper just telling you what her favorite movies are. She shares with you her greatest fears, her dreams, and all that.

All these are too personal to share with the rest of the world. If she does, then you have a special place in her life.

On the lighter side, she lets her guard down so you see her dorky or nerdy side when you’re together. In short, she feels she can be herself around you and she trusts you, which isn’t easily earned.

15Using the we word

She uses the “we” word

When a girl starts using the “we” word, which refers to you + her, is a strong sign that would like you and her to become a “we.” She considers sharing her future with you as a couple.

It further means she thinks of the two of you as one. What’s great about this is you are no longer a stranger in her life.

So, pay attention to the “we” word. It’s a powerful signal to look out for if you want to know how interested she is as a potential mate.

16Giving undivided attention

She gives her undivided attention

When you hang out one-on-one, you can easily notice if a girl is into you. How? By giving you her undivided attention. No distractions. No checking of her social media accounts in front of you or taking or making calls. As simple as that.

She might send text in between and sneak on her Instagram (perhaps to post some of your pics together). But she’s still completely engaged with your conversation while having coffee or dinner.

You can tell she likes you that much if she puts down her phone on the table and focus on you instead.

17texting

She texts regularly

Speaking of phones, you can also tell a girl likes you by how often she texts you. If she does at least every other day, it’s a good indicator that is interested in you. She has thought of you and wants to check on you.

She does not only text you frequently, she sees to it that she quickly responds to your messages. She does not send you replies in one word with a period like “fine,” “ok,” or “hey” when you initiate texting her. Instead, she keeps the exchange of texts going.

If you do get one-word responses, it could spell an unrequited love.

18Love for cooking

She shares similar interests

Take it as a hopeful sign if the woman you like often agrees with you on many things. It means you share similar interests especially in things that matter to both of you.

It shows your chemistry is high for a potential love match. It also explains the very reason she likes you back.

Based on what is called the “Similarity Principle”, people like to be around others who also have the same interests, say in fitness, movies to watch, taste buds, beliefs, and so on. This way, you enjoy spending time with each other.

You can just imagine if you two have different personalities. You’d likely argue often that in such a case, you will find it difficult to develop a potential relationship into a happy-ever-after.

19Laughing

She laughs at your dad jokes

Women typically like a guy with a good sense of humor. So, when you can make her laugh at your jokes, she must be into you. Why? Because she wants to let you feel good around her and not embarrassed.

She doesn’t want to snub your efforts to make her smile and laugh. When you feel appreciated, it means you’d hang out with her again. She likes the idea of spending more time with you to get to know you better.

She still finds your dad jokes funny. She’s interested if she’s engaged in your conversation. If you see her smile and giggle while talking with you, chances are she’s hooked on you.

20Asking help

She asks help on little stuff

It’s pretty obvious that if a woman likes you, she will go out of her way to get your attention. She asks help from you on little stuff, the silly ones.

For example, she asks you to teach her how to download a podcast or a video game to her smartphone. Suddenly, she’s “too short” to reach something from a top shelf. But it’s gotta be more than just asking for help. She must be sending signals that she’s a damsel in distress that needs saving.

All this happens when you’re near her to make sure you’d be there for the “rescue.” Just keep in mind, it is a sign

21she

She coyly lets you know she’s single

A woman coyly drops this major signal to a man she likes. She’s dropping hints that she’s single if she tells you how she hasn’t found the right one yet.

Also, she talks about not wanting to go to this dinner alone and she needs someone to go with her. You’re dead clueless if you don’t realize that she’s interested in the two of you going together. Most likely, she’s just waiting for you to say you’d take her.

22Making time

She makes time for you

Time is a valuable and scarce resource we don’t simply waste on something or someone. So, when a woman makes space on her calendar for you, she surely likes you, a lot.

Author of Choose Love: A Simple Path to Healthy, Joyful Relationships Margot Schulman said a girl certainly likes you if she makes time for you.

This clear sign gets much better when she usually makes herself available to you not only in person. She also picks up your call or replies to your text amid her hectic schedule. She wouldn’t bother to do any of these if she doesn’t even like you in the first place.

23Interaction on social media

She interacts with you on social media

Once a girl starts to connect herself to you publicly on her Instagram, FB, Twitter, and other social media pages, she’s most likely interested in you. She’d likely do the following stuff to let everyone her interactions with you:

  • tags only you in her posts
  • posts pictures she took with you in it
  • reacts to your posts
  • shares things to your wall

She’s doing all these things on social media on purpose as her way of showing off the hot guy she met. Everyone on her friends’ list will know you like how much you’re into each other and you are hers.

Important Caveats to Remember

Some cues are complex and some, subtle, so see to it that you interpret these signs within the context of a particular situation.

Don’t chase a girl. It will be a waste of time and energy other than you will look desperate. They say there are many fishes in the sea. Expand social circles to meet a potential mate.

One signal indicating a girl likes you doesn’t merit unwanted advances. She’s just trying to make you do the first move like asking her out on a first date and see where it leads.

A woman who doesn’t look at you while you attempt to engage her in a pep talk is not interested. Don’t assume she’s playing hard to get. It’s as simple as she’s not into you.

But If a girl likes you, you don’t have to try so hard. It will feel effortless, simple, and natural. If the feelings are mutual, it’s meant to be. That’s how it goes.

Streetwear has gained prestige in the world of fashion, all thanks to Stussy. Californian surfer Shawn Stussy established his streetwear empire with a small line of graphic t-shirts that became a hit in the 1980s.

This OG streetwear brand all started when he scribbled his name on his handcrafted surfboards using a marker pen. More than 40 years later, this scrawl graces hoodies and tees and expanded to skate and surf apparel.

The California-born brand has become a famous signature for its innovative and stunning designs. Today, Stussy is a popular streetwear brand with a strong following for its skater style line and urban fashion pieces.

Who wouldn’t recognize this massively popular OG streetwear label donned by celebrities like Justin Bieber, Michael Jordan, and Lady Gaga? Basically, no one.

Founded by James Jebbia, Supreme saw its very first store in downtown Manhattan in 1994. Supreme swiftly made a name for itself when it built its first store in New York.

Its unique store layout is consistent with its purpose to cater products to the skating community. Thus, it features an open space to allow skaters to skate around the store while shopping.

As the business grew, the company arranged a huge, frequent collaboration with premium brands like Levi’s, Rolex, and Louis Vuitton. This strategy has cleared the path for the Supreme logo to become a status symbol itself.

The company’s logo known as the Supreme Box is not only seen in the streets of NYC but around the globe with its multiple store outlets. Hailed as one of the world’s iconic streetwear brands of all time, Supreme became a billion-dollar brand in 2017.

Palace’s aesthetic follows the lead of sportswear behemoths, Adidas and Reebok. As a matter of fact, the company often collaborates with these two.

Not all of the world’s best brands in the streetwear fashion industry originally started as one. Take Carhatt, for example. The company has been making workwear in the US for ages since 1889. It is widely known for its high-quality overalls and clothing for manual laborers.

Carhartt, however, tapped into its potential of making other fine pieces outside its forte. It built the Carhartt WIP (which stands for Work In Progress), a name that quickly made waves in the world of streetwear.

This OG label already has available streetwear staples such as its classic work pants and Carhartt logo beanies. Its WIP brand apparently is practically designed for non-construction workers. It adds hints of skater style to its workwear to create ultra-cool streetwear designs for its work jackets or baseball caps.

This star-studded film packs adrenaline, thrill, and mystery. As its title suggests, the story centers on making the perfect escape plan. But this poses a challenge especially when it involves a maximum-security prison practically unknown to anyone and where the worst criminals are incarcerated.

The protagonist is Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone), a structural-security authority who has devoted his life to making sure prisons are inescapable. Hired to inspect a new facility, he poses as a new inmate but once he is in, he realizes that someone doesn’t want him out. He must find a way to break out and in order to do so, he needs all the help he can get. It comes in the form of the mysterious prisoner Rottmayer (Arnold Schwarzenegger).

This is an entertaining film packed with a star-studded cast. I mean, who doesn’t want to see two of Hollywood’s famous action stars appear together on one screen? Not to mention that they both still look ripped and can kick butts. The movie was well-received it even birthed a sequel, which sadly failed to impress viewers unlike the original.

Bugatti Is Working With Gillette For the Chiron Pur Sport Heated Safety Razor

Aside from building some of the most powerful high-performance vehicles, Bugatti occasionally partners with other companies for cool collaborations. In its latest run, the French luxury automaker is working with a safety razor and shaving supply provider Gillette for the Chiron Pur Sport. Contrary to what you might think, this tie-in involves a grooming tool instead of a ride.

After hearing about it, we were thinking it was a limited-edition trim of the hypercar. Perhaps with a Gillette sponsorship for motorsport. Instead, we’re getting a snazzy and sleek heated safety razor with design elements lifted from its namesake. Quality-wise it should live up to the Macaron badge.

Hey, most of you could call the Chiron Pur Sport a gaudy marketing gimmick, but a lot of automotive enthusiasts will snap these up while supplies last. We’ve been featuring some of Bugatti’s ventures with the likes of Buben & Zorweg, TIDAL, IXO, and Jacob & Co.

Aside from these high-profile projects, the recent one from GilletteLabs is certainly a big surprise. The Chiron Pur Sport is a premium safety razor that embodies the very best of both brands. The handle is even crafted out of aluminum-zinc which you can find on Bugatti’s automobiles.

Moreover, the timing of its announcement is impeccable as temperatures begin to get colder as the autumn season draws closer. Groom like a pro as Gillette invokes that wonderful feeling of a barbershop shave with each use.

The heat opens up your pores much like a hot towel does as each blade gently cuts your facial hair down as close to bare skin. The Chiron Pur Sport features Bugatti’s signature Agile Blue colorway. The bundle includes a wireless charging dock, two replacement blades, and a co-branded cleaning cloth.

Along with the new beanies, you can pick up any of the brand’s exceptional socks (from no-show to crew length) in a variety of colors and materials, including recycled cotton and performance hemp blends.

The Best Watches Spotted at the 2021 Emmys

The Emmy Awards celebrate the best TV of the year, but are themselves highly entertaining television and were particularly meaningful in 2021: People were locked down and watching streaming services more than usual over the last year, so there were even more reasons to watch and cheer for your favorite shows and actors. Another reason to tune in to the awards? To scope celebrities’ wrists for what they wore — often in the role of an official watch brand ambassador — to the live event that took place, with red carpet and all, in Los Angeles. Here are some of the best watches we spotted at the 73rd Emmys.

Winner of several Emmys himself, actor Sterling K Brown also presented the award at the 2021 ceremony while wearing an IWC Portugieser Automatic. With black dial and black crocodile strap, it’s a perfect pairing for a black-and-white tux, but allows for a bolder presence than many dress watches thanks to its 42.3mm diameter. Don’t mistake its subdial layout for that of a chronograph: at 9 o’clock is the seconds and at 3 o’clock is a power reserve indicator, all courtesy of an IWC in-house automatic movement.

No sooner had Longines recently announced Bridgerton actor Regé-Jean Page as a brand ambassador than he appeared wearing an appropriately formal watch for the black-tie event. The Longines Elegant collection features classically oriented watches with several variations of dial color and hour markers of Roman numerals or thin stick designs. The model Page showed off was the latter, on a beads-of-rice style bracelet and a blue sunburst dial for a little pop of color.

As host of the awards, Cedric the Entertainer put on a proper show himself, appearing in different outfits with watches to match. Paired to a shiny, white-and-gold floral jacket, the most extravagant watch we spotted at the show was his six-figure Girard-Perregaux Laureato. Here the luxury sport watch stands out even more than usual in solid 18k pink gold with a skeletonized dial and movement with a tourbillon. He later also wore a relatively modest and dressy Girard-Perregaux 1966 Orion in steel with an aventurine dial.

You tend to see a number of Omega watches at shows such as this, and the 73rd Emmys was no exception. We spotted a couple watches from the brand’s Constellation line, despite its status as a slightly overlooked collection. The Handmaid’s Tale actor O-T Fagbenle wore a version in 18k yellow gold with a black ceramic bezel — the inlaid Roman numerals of which are produced in the brand’s proprietary Ceragold material.

The Best Used 4×4 SUVs We’d Buy for $10,000 Right Now

Go into any new car dealership and tell the salesman you have a strict budget of $10,000 and you want to buy a vehicle. He’ll smile, try to hold back a laugh if he’s polite…then he’ll point in the direction of the door.

On the other hand, in the used car realm, $10,000 — even in the current used car market — opens up an entire world of transportation options. Big, small, foreign or domestic, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to halfway decent vehicles at this price. (It’s one reason why used car shopping online can quickly cause you to spiral down an internet rabbit hole.)

Still, when it comes to finding $10K cars, few categories offer quite the wealth of options as the 4×4 market. So we pulled together a few sweet trucks and SUVs you can grab right now for four figures that are primed for tackling some trails.

Lucid Motors Shares More Details About The Luxurious Air Dream Edition EV And Its Trims

With competitors popping up left and right, we might be seeing more startups taking on Tesla. Right now, Elon Musk’s EV brand has several projects in development. Meanwhile, rival Lucid Motors is another exciting carmaker eager to grab a slice of the growing sustainable transportation market. To do so, they’ll need something incredible — the Air Dream Edition.

Consumers love to have options, which is why Lucid Motors offers two trims for this luxurious EV. That’s right, this platform is all about giving owners elegant design and a lavish interior. Before we go into that, let’s talk about what sets each variant apart – range and performance. Not to worry though, because both look equally breathtaking.

If you prefer the best mileage, the Air Dream Edition R is where it’s at. This configuration delivers 500 miles on a single charge and maxes out at 933 horsepower. On the other hand, to experience the thrill Lucid promises, the Air Edition P will blow you away. At 1,111 horsepower with a 450-mile range, this is for people who want to show off their EV.

The two share a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup which pushes it up to 168 mph. Buyers can get the Air Dream Edition in exclusive exterior colors: Infinite Black, Zenith Red, Stellar White, and Eureka Gold. Accents in bright platinum then provide a welcome contrast. Check out our carport guide to protect your new ride from the elements.

As for the interior, Lucid calls the theme Santa Monica as a tribute to the famous beach. We have Nappa full-grain leather in shades of Ceramic and Graphite Gray. Other stylish additions include Alcantara inserts, silvered Eucalyptus wood, and bright platinum metal hardware. Enjoy the view from within the Air Dream Edition via the seamless glass canopy.

Fering Technologies Is Building The Sustainable Pioneer SUV With A Whopping 3,780-Mile Range

Aside from domestic and international travel, the pandemic continues to affect supply chains across the globe. Chips shortages are affecting not only the tech industry but carmakers as well. While we’re waiting for the Cybertruck and the HUMMER EV, the competition is heating up with the likes of Fering Technologies joining the ranks of beefy all-electric platforms with the Pioneer.

First off, you should know that this SUV uses electric motors for each axle. This gives it a combined torque of 443 lb-ft. What caught us by surprise was the disappointing 50-mile range on a full charge. This puts it way below what the machines it hopes to go against with can deliver.

It turns out Fering has another sustainable system in mind to push the Pioneer mileage up to 3,780 miles. This is a bold claim considering the top range boasted by a manufacturer, so far, barely goes beyond 600 miles. What makes this possible is the 70-kW multifuel generator which operates on bio-diesel.

According to the company, this allows the Pioneer to explore even the “deserts of Africa one week and the snow drifts of the Arctic circle the next.” Other notable capabilities include fording depths of up to 4.6 feet, 1.64-foot step climb, 50-degree traverse angle, and 60% gradient climb.

A dynamic suspension system allows the SUV to adjust the ride height on the fly. Haul cargo up to 3,306 lbs which is great for various applications. It boasts an aluminum/composite spaceframe chassis with body panels crafted out of tough fabric. Finally, The Fering Pioneer can reach a top speed of 78 mph.
