This Small German Brand Makes the Best Beanies

heimat

Famous for its engineering, Germany exports excellent automobiles and industrial equipment. But what about beanies? Bet you didn’t know some of the best are made there, too. Say hello to Heimat, a brand founded in 2016 by ex-Ralph Lauren (specifically RRL) Merchandising Director, Christian Hofmann. His label boasts a suite of Naval-inspired headwear and knits, and a tagline that reinforces the country’s reputation for fine manufacturing: “Qualitätsprodukte,” which translates plainly to “quality products.”

“Our clothes are universal but we are proud of the German heritage and craftmanship. Germany is known for high-level engineering and great quality all over the world and that’s what Heimat products are about,” Hofmann told Les Indispensables in 2020. “I love things that are simple and made for a purpose and are stripped of any unnecessary design features. Hence why a lot of inspirations come from traditional workwear or military garments.”

Honestly, it’s where a lot of menswear items derive from: T-shirts, field jackets and bomber jackets to name a few. But Heimat proves even beanies can be attributed to the armed forces. With the Mechanics Bobble, Heimat tells the story of the famous fluff. The bobble first helped soldiers identify their units and then protected deck hand’s heads from low, load-bearing beams.

As you can tell, the Deck Hat is the same… minus the bobble. Both are cut from virgin wool, because Hofmann says the material “pays back in the quality of our products. You can wear our sweaters or hats for years and the wool will not pill or rip, which is an advantage against other traditionally used materials.” The beanies are also super stylish by today’s standards, with their fisherman-like size (meaning they sit folded, above the ears). Despite the memes designed to mock those that wear tiny beanies, this is a certainly an instance of fashion coming full circle.

These Brands Are Changing the Way We Treat (and Talk About) Acne

beauty products treating acne

Gear Patrol

Contrary to popular belief, acne isn’t your skin’s death sentence. Everyone’s faced a hard-to-hide pimple or set of stubborn blackheads before. But few brands act like it. They make acne seem like the end of the world — a condition that kills your confidence, keeps you from seeing friends or dates and damages your skin forever. Traditional brands use messaging that implies your breakout should be a breaking point, where you should panic and your skin should purge. But I’m here to clear the air: Nuclear acne treatments that sear the skin’s surface into submission are no longer the sole way forward.

There’s a new cohort of companies changing not only the way you treat acne, but the way you talk about it, too. Soft Services, Starface, Peace Out, Bevel and SolaWave obviously see acne as a problem but not one you should stress out about — that’ll only exacerbate the issue. This new class of acne treatment brands makes manageable overnight patches that are as playful as they are potent; gentle pore-clearing sheets; high-tech red and blue light wands; creams that cover up while they clear; and serums that repair skin damaged by pimples prior.

Soft Services

Founded in 2019 by beauty experts Annie Kreighbaum and Rebecca Zhou, Soft Services is a “targeted” body care company designed to treat a suite of common skin issues: dry skin, keratosis pilaris, irritation, ingrown hairs, discoloration, body acne and beyond. The combination of potent ingredients and custom formulas form create a strong collection of effective products perfect for tough and sensitive skin alike.

Clearing Clay

Soft Services

Soft Services’ Clearing Clay is potent but safe for everyday use — or as a spot treatment or a mask. Simply put, it’s versatile. Using sulfur as its main active ingredient (10-percent of it), the clay comes with antifungal, antibacterial and skin-softening capabilities, which means it works for oil absorption and exfoliation.

Clearing Mist

Soft Services

Three ingredients — salicylic acid, zinc PCA and niacinamide — join forces to tackle acne, discoloration and irritation caused by sweat or tight clothing. (Typically, the two come in tandem.) Simply spray it on the impacted area and let it dry. Do not rub it in.

Buffing Bar

Soft Services

If you’ve noticed that some areas on your body are rougher than others, because of in-grown hairs, dry skin or acne, use Soft Services’ Buffing Bar, a micro-exfoliant packaged like a bar soap.

Starface

Starface shot onto the scene with its star-shaped, acne-treating stickers. Wearers could slap one on when a pimple appears, sleep with it on and remove it the next morning. Many started wearing them out, too, with an air unashamed confidence. It kickstarted a kind of acne nonchalance that’s carried into brands established after them.

Hydro-Stars

Starface’s Hydro-Star stickers come in a little yellow case reminiscent of the ones Apple puts its AirPods in — except there’s a mirror in there and 32 of the tiny stars. Each one is a condensed hydrocolloid spot treatment designed to absorb and shrink pimples overnight. They also seal the area from other bacterias, accelerating the healing process.

Hydro-Star + Salicylic Acid

These are the same as the aforementioned Hydro-Stars except for added Salicylic Acid, a beta hydroxy acid capable of clearing bigger and bolder pimples.

Lift Off Pore Strips

You’ve probably seen a Bioré strip before — the ones you see on pimple TikToks (or YouTube videos). They’re sticky on one side and soft on the other and you apply them to a place with plenty of clogged pores — usually your nose. Starface’s are the same except they’re much gentler.

SolaWave

SolaWave and its flagship product, the SolaWave Wand, strive to treat a multitude of skin issues (including acne) with red light, blue light, facial massages, microcurrents and heat. It might sound like heresay, but there’s real science behind it all. With a sleek, modern design and even more modern functionalities, the wand can drastically reduce fine lines and wrinkles, pimples, dark spots and dull spots alike.

SolaWave Red Light Wand

Like lightsabers in Star Wars, there are red and blue ones. (Sorry, no green or purple here.) The Red Light Wand — with warmth, microcurrents and facial massaging — works to undo skin damage that comes with age (or negligence): wrinkles, dryness, fine lines or dullness. To use it you move it around like you’re shaving, with the head in the “I” or “T” position. (See: “I” here and “T” below.) Just make sure your face is clean and dry before using.

SolaWave Blue Light Wand

Although we usually consider blue light to be harmful, The Blue Light Wand is actually quite good for your skin. There are no microcurrents with this model, but its light — this time blue — kills one of the bacterias that causes breakouts, drastically reducing the likelihood you’ll have them while helping with several other issues.

FRONTMAN

FRONTMAN wants you to put your best face forward — even when you have acne. Their sole product offering thus far, the FRONTMAN Fade, is a two-in-one formula that diminishes the appearance of acne while covering it in a skin-colored cream. The Fade is available in four shades and should only be worn during the day — and you can; It’s completely invisible, even if you’re not great at applying makeup.

FRONTMAN Fade

Peace Out

As the name implies, Peace Out is a skincare brand dedicated to eradicating the skin of its most common ailments: acne, dark spots, inflammation, wrinkles and the ilk. In fact, you shop the brand’s offering that way, by picking your issue and finding products that strive to solve it. Under acne the brand boasts a bunch of solutions: stickers for overnight use, creams for clearing breakouts and balms for reducing the visibility of stubborn blemishes.

Acne Dots – 6 Dots

This Hydrocolloid polymer technology with active Salicylic Acid acts an overnight treatment. Apply it tightly, sleep with it on and see your pimple reduce in size and redness, while healing deep down beyond where you can see. There are only six in this set — perfect for someone wanting to test-run something like this (or someone who rarely suffers from acne).

Peace Out Acne Dots Jumbo

The Jumbo Acne Dots prove big enough to cover a patch of pimples. Have a few blackheads where your mask rubbed? Apply one. A few whiteheads where your glasses sit? Stick one on. The same instructions apply here, by the way: stick it on a clean face, sleep with it and remove the next morning.

Acne Treatment Serum

Sick and tired of all these stickers? Here, try a traditional treatment serum from Peace Out. You can use this formula daily without fear of damaging your skin, because it’s made from 2-percent Salicylic Acid and a combination of key ingredients like zinc, vitamin C, triluronic acid and centella asiatica extract.

Bevel

Bevel makes products specifically for Black skin, which they’ve proved is both sensitive and in need of specialized products. Big beauty brands don’t take minority users into account when formulating new products, meaning many could damage skin or could simply not work. Bevel’s been mindful of them from the start, formulating a collection of hair, skin, body and shave products that are as sensitive as they are potent — and particularly for Black people.

2-in-1 Spot Fader

The Spot Fader works on ingrown hairs, razor bumps and dark spots from acne. Its formulated, with its signature combination of Vitamin C and 9-percent Lactic Acid, to combat issues unique to Black skin. Testers told the brand they felt smoother within a week of using it for the first time.

Exfoliating Toner

This is another two-in-one concept from the company. Each wipe exfoliates while it tones, clearing pores and dead skin while it smooths and rejuvenates the new skin. Plus, the mix of lavender and green tea will leave you feeling refreshed.

Porsche Has 3 Awesome High-Performance 911s Coming Soon, Report Claims

The Porsche 911 Sport Classic should pack Turbo S power and a stick

Per Motor Trend, this 911 will be a throwback to the Sport Classic, a limited-run 997 generation trim. It will offer something significant you can’t get in the current lineup: the 911 Turbo S engine with rear-wheel drive and a manual transmission.

The Porsche 911 ST should be a gnarlier, wider GT3

The report says this model will be a nod to the racing-oriented 911 ST from the 1970s. It will get the naturally-aspirated GT3 engine with more power. It will deliver the purist, stripped-down feel of the 911 R from 2016. And it should reference the original 911 ST visually with wider fender flares.

The Porsche 911 RS 50th Anniversary should be a lightweight retro looker

Motor Trend also says Porsche will launch a 50th-anniversary edition of the 911 RS for 2023. This 911 will get the 473 hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six from the Carrera GTS, a weight reduction package and, of course, the iconic duckbill spoiler.

Were you unaware? Sorry to burst your bubble. Whatever you do, don’t go looking at resale sites then. The sneakers that make it there are big ticket items: They sell for anywhere between $200 and $20,000 dollars.

But not these. These are super nice sneakers available for a fraction of their original price — but only until Black Friday and Cyber Monday end. So, stay tuned. We’ll be updating this post from now through the holidays.

With the pandemic, you may want to think twice about heading to the movie theaters to keep you entertained during the weekends. Moreover, with the cold months upon us, it is far better to spend the day in the warm comforts of our home, all bundled in a cozy blanket and prepped for a marathon on every new TV show and movie coming in November 2021 that your eyes tire out you can barely keep them open.

But with the exciting new titles coming to Netflix in November 2021, we bet you the pizza and beer are going to end up as mere table attractions. The streaming giant has a lot to offer for the next 30 days to keep you up all day and all night. Forget hitting the mall in the cold when you can easily spend quality time with friends and family dissecting crime scenes, mulling over-complicated storylines, comforting each other amid hours-long of drama and tear-jerking moments, and pacifying angry outbursts from revolting scenes.

Suffice to say, Netflix can bring about all sorts of emotions with its host of shows, movies, documentaries, and more. November welcomes the return of Tiger King for one and Idris Elba fans out there rejoice! His recent film The Harder They Fall is available to stream on TV just days after its release on Oct. 22.

Of course, there are also original Netflix series and movies and new seasons of fan-favorite shows from animation, fiction, to reality TV including the fifth season of Big Mouth, new episodes of reality TV Selling Sunsets, new thrilling episodes for crime drama Narcos, and more. Nov. 19 alone has plenty of new movies and shows including the heavily anticipated live-action adaptation of the classic Japanese anime Cowboy Bebop and a promising new South Korean series that dabbles on the supernatural (can rival Squid Game?) called Hellbound. Titles aside, we have also provided a brief story overview of the popular series coming to the streaming giant in this spooky month, so read on below so you can start bookmarking your favorites. So, without further ado, let’s get the list rolling so you can mark your calendar for every new TV show and movie coming to Netflix in November 2021.

Below are nine of the anticipated shows coming to Netflix in November 2021. We’re going to start off with Season 2 of Tiger King, because why not? It swept American media amid the pandemic because of its central character: Joe Exotic. So read on below for more details.

Joe Exotic will be missed in this second installment of the docuseries. Understandably so since he is serving a 22-year-long prison sentence for a murder-for-hire plot on his rival, Big Cat Rescue’s Carole Baskin. But he will have a cameo (in a sense) as his phone call interviews from prison will be sprinkled throughout the eight-episode series. His husband Dillon Passage hinted that Season 2 is going to be interesting because it will share a bit of Joe’s arrest and events that happened afterward.

Meanwhile, Baskins is unlikely to return after she called it “absolutely ridiculous” to have to clean the air on TV after Exotic obviously betrayed her. But the season will follow the outcome of her mission to take ownership of G.W. Zoo.

Other things to watch out for in Tiger King: Season 2 include Exotic’s former partner, Jeff Lowe, as he takes over his zoo after his arrest. Then there are the supporters campaigning for his pardon from former U.S. President Donald Trump and the investigation into the disappearance of Baskin’s ex-husband Don Lewis.

A look at the working-class family life in the 1970s that follows the Murphy family as they go through challenges, both mentally and physically. This series is filled with coarse humor as it tells the growth of every character.

You have a father working tirelessly for his family in a job he hates and a mother trying to live up to society’s expectations of what a wife and a parent is supposed to be. Then there are the four kids, each going through their own problems growing up.

This is basically a show about family dynamics and riddled with expletives, and themes on sex and drugs. It’s an underrated show that deserved its final outing with Season 5.

The BAX Moto MK3 Concept Proves Shane Baxley’s Works Deserve More Recognition

In our never-ending pursuit of the coolest stuff, we regularly check for new concepts from prominent designers. Our efforts pay off once again as we are treated to another futuristic two-wheeler from Shane Baxley. Dubbed the BAX Moto MK3, this mean machine has textbook sci-fi written all over it. We really need to see digital works like it become reality.

So far, established motorcycle marques prefer blueprints made in-house. Perhaps they can borrow bits here and there from Baxley’s stunning lineup of electric motorcycles. To be specific, we hope they can build a superbike that pays tribute to the menacing profile of the BAX Moto MK3.

The blend of curves with sharp edges give the BAX Moto MK3 a sporty outline. Its tubular frame and body panels protect the battery along with the electric motor. A quick peek just behind the upside-down forks show cooling fins for superior heat dissipation. Also, its turn signals are mounted on winglets for each side.

Then there are the clip-on handlebars with bar-end rear-view mirrors and a triple-headlight array at the front. A single round digital instrument unit keeps tabs on everything going on. Meanwhile, the fairings of the BAX Moto MK3 that flank this section makes it look even more intimidating. Judging by the bobber style seat, expect an aggressive riding position on this bad boy.

We can likewise make out sections with the graphics that read “LIGHTWORKER” on the electric superbike. We’re guessing it might be an alias for the BAX Moto MK3. To provide reliable stopping power, Brembo disc brakes adorn the front wheel. Finally, the rear wheel is mounted to a mono-shock swingarm. Too bad we can only guess how badass this would be in reality.

Tesla Cybertruck Owners Need To Grab The FORM Camper For Its Matching Aesthetics

Automotive industry insiders have been speculating about the Cybertruck’s release for some time now. It looks like Tesla might ship the single-motor trim a little earlier than anticipated. Meanwhile, the dual-motor version should follow soon thereafter. As such, soon-to-be-owners of the electric pickup truck who want to shop for overlanding gear should check out the FORM camper.

Although its sleek and sharp outline would pair perfectly with the angular Tesla Cybertruck, it works with others as well. FORM states the camper is compatible with the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and more. Bed sizes ranging from 5.8 feet to 8 feet should be enough to hold the structure.

Dry weight is pegged at 1,000 lbs and it also produces very minimal drag thanks to its aerodynamic exterior. The manufacturer points out that the structure is built out of an aluminum honeycomb panel sandwiched between a carbon fiber shell.

Even the aesthetics look cool courtesy of the distinct weave pattern of the surfaces. After reaching your destination, deploying the FORM camper is straightforward. Once the support struts come down, owners can even detach their pickup trucks if they need to travel elsewhere to haul other cargo.

Inside, you can find a full-size bed atop the elevated area. The ground-level section is versatile and can function as a living space, bathroom, and indoor kitchen. Moreover, the intuitive slide-out system allows you to prepare meals and cook outdoors instead.

No worries about the weather as two fold-out awnings are available on each side. The solar array on the pop-up roof provides 400 watts of off-grid power. The FORM camper stores 50 gallons of water, but the reverse osmosis filtration system effectively turns that into 100 gallons.

The Rise of the Small Pickup Truck

A version of this story first appeared in Gear Patrol Magazine. Subscribe today

The term “small truck” used to be an oxymoron. If you walked into a Ford or Chevy dealership circa 2013 asking for one, a salesperson would have pointed you to a single-cab F-150 or Silverado. Even those few midsize trucks still on sale were much bigger than their predecessors; the Toyota Tacoma of the early 2010s, for example, was two whole feet longer than the model on sale in the 1990s.

But it’s not 2013. It’s 2021, and the truck market has shifted dramatically. Full-size pickups have become aspirational vehicles, in many cases offering space, refinement and performance on par with luxury cars — and with an average purchase price hovering around $50,000, they often have price tags to match. Midsize trucks are thriving, as the overlanding and off-roading craze drives buyers to more maneuverable, more affordable pickups.

And now, two new vehicles, the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz, are poised to stretch the definition of truck even further by opening up a new — or at least long-dormant — segment: the compact pickup truck.

Granted, “compact pickup” is a bit of a misnomer. Neither the Maverick nor the Santa Cruz is compact per se; the Santa Cruz, for example, weighs in at more than 4,000 pounds fully loaded. And while both the Maverick and Santa Cruz boast a pickup bed, neither vehicle is technically a truck. The Maverick uses the same unibody car platform as the Ford Escape and Bronco Sport, while the Santa Cruz borrows heavily from the Hyundai Tucson. In other words, America’s hottest new trucks are essentially crossover SUVs.

ford maverick
With the Maverick, Ford replaced the staid sedan or sexless econobox that would usually sit at the bottom of a carmaker’s lineup with what budget buyers want: a truck.

Ford

More city-friendly than a Ranger and more country-cool than a Honda Civic, the Maverick should appeal to a wide range of buyers.

Ford

Contrary to what some might say, that’s not a bad thing. Trucks and SUVs are no longer niche rides; nowadays they’re the default vehicles most American buyers choose. These new hybrid trucks combine the best features of both into a compelling package. Previous small-truck attempts were quirky anomalies with funny names and funky features. But the Maverick and Santa Cruz feel very much of the moment.

With the Maverick, Ford replaced the staid sedan or sexless econobox that would usually sit at the bottom of a carmaker’s lineup with what budget buyers want: a truck. The Maverick looks like a little F-150, but with a starting price of just over $20,000, it retails for about half as much. It packs two compelling engine options — a 40-mpg hybrid or a potent 2.0-liter turbo four with 250 horsepower — and boasts nimble, crossover-like handling. More city-friendly than a Ranger and more country-cool than a Honda Civic, the Maverick should appeal to a wide range of buyers.

Ford

While Ford is leaning into the baby-truck angle, Hyundai’s Santa Cruz approaches buyers from the opposite direction. You won’t see Hyundai call their vehicle “a truck”; rather, the carmaker is framing it as a “segment-shattering sport adventure vehicle” — in other words, it’s a new kind of crossover. The Santa Cruz is a fun, perky vehicle for young urbanities that just so happens to have a versatile bed in back for carrying bikes or other gear. And if you have your eye on a cool new teardrop camping trailer or a Ski-Doo, well, the Santa Cruz — rated for up to 5,000 pounds — can tow it.

Hyundai

Ultimately, whether the Maverick, Santa Cruz and the like are called pickup trucks or crossovers is a matter of semantics. So long as these new segment-straddling four-door vehicles are fun, affordable and suitable for all manner of adventures, buyers seem likely to snap them up in droves.

Small Trucks, Through the Years

Carmakers have always been down to get weird with fusion trucks, but America has never been quite ready for them.

Subaru BRAT (1978-87)

subaru brat

Subaru

Subaru wanted a small truck to compete with Toyota’s pickup in America. So it released the BRAT — a 4×4 Leone wagon with a truck bed cut out of the back. Distinctive features included a T-top and alarmingly unsafe bed-mounted jump seats to avoid the U.S. Chicken Tax, which levied a 25 percent tariff on foreign pickups. Fun fact: Ronald Reagan owned one.

Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup (1979-84)

vw rabbit pickup

Volkswagen

VW sold a two-door pickup version of the Mk1 Golf in the U.S., which was later known as the Caddy when it arrived in Europe. It wasn’t quite as popular stateside as other body-style variants, like the sedan (Jetta) and the Cabriolet, and went out of production in 1984.

Dodge Rampage (1982-84)

dodge rampage

Dodge

Chrysler entered the car/truck fray with the subcompact Dodge Rampage in 1982, which was based on the Omni coupe. If you found the “Rampage” name too aggro for a pint-size coupe truck, Chrysler also badged it as the more adorable Plymouth Scamp in 1983.

Subaru Baja (2003-06)

subaru baja

Subaru

Subaru revisited the BRAT idea with the Outback-based Baja in 2003, branding it as “the world’s first multiple choice vehicle.” It had a weird bed extender and a lot of plastic cladding, but at least the rear seats were inside the cabin. The Baja’s biggest flaw may simply have been that it was ahead of its time.

Pontiac G8 ST (2008)

pontiac g8 st

Pontiac

Pontiac unveiled the G8 ST at the 2008 New York Auto Show. It was going to be a two-seater sport truck based on the G8 sedan, with a 6.0-liter V8 putting out more than 300 horsepower. Then the Great Recession happened. GM canceled the yet-to-enter-production G8 ST in January 2009 … and, less than a year later, the Pontiac brand itself.

The LAVO Bike From Studio MOM Might Be The First-Ever Hydrogen E-Bike

Most of the commercially available transportation platforms are likely running on battery-electric systems. Hydrogen-electric models are still playing catch-up due to several factors such as supply and production but is growing, nonetheless. To encourage more companies to adopt this clean source of energy, Studio MOM is developing the LAVO Bike.

This cool project’s goal is to showcase the versatility and safety of hydrogen fuel cells over lithium-ion batteries. Meanwhile, electric bikes are quickly becoming the ride of choice for urban commuters, which is why the Dutch design team is coming up with a new type of zero-emission two-wheeler.

Meanwhile, LAVO will be lending its technology to power the motors and more. The company is already offering green energy storage systems that use solar panels and water to produce hydrogen. With this in place, owners can conveniently recharge spent tanks at home and swap in full ones for their next trip.

Instead of a regular e-bike, Studio MOM proposes a configuration that allows users to haul more cargo. Given that a full hydrogen tank is lighter than a standard rechargeable battery, the LAVO Bike can carry more refills. This allows owners to benefit from a longer range and never rely on the power grid.

From a configuration standpoint, the LAVO Bike uses a hub center steering setup. The frame is reinforced at the front to support heavier loads. Studio MOM notes that this modular machine will have parts that connect just like LEGO blocks. Currently, there is little information about the rest of the components, but it should be the world’s first hydrogen e-bike once it’s commercially available.

The 16 Best Sweatshirts for Men

The best sweatshirts are both comfortable and durable. It’s a balance not every brand gets right. Thankfully, there are plenty that do make a good sweatshirt — enough to make a list out of it, anyway. We’re focusing our attention on our favorite crewneck sweatshirts, ones we’ve been living in. Options you can wear with every outfit, whether it’s jeans and a t-shirt or atop suit trousers in your home office. (Kudos to you for kind of dressing up.)

Your favorite sweatshirt doesn’t have to be expensive, but it also don’t have to be cheap. Simply good, and sometimes even that can be a tall order. Trust this list, though. We’ve vetted every option for you. Here are our picks for the best crew neck sweatshirts on the market.

our pick

Sur Sweatshirt

Outerknown

Outerknown’s Sur Sweatshirt sticks out for good reason. The hemp and organic blend terry fabric make it a hefty-yet-soft option, not to mention one of the most eco-friendly on the market.

an upgrade

Interloop Crew Sweatshirt

Buck Mason

Buck Mason’s dense, midweight fleece sweatshirt eschews modern flair in favor of a more timeless look. It’s tailored, the right tone and the cotton was cut on the cross grain to prevent shrinkage. (Plus, it looks pretty damn good with the sleeves rolled up.)

an affordable alternative

Heavy Blend Crewneck Sweatshirt

You can’t go wrong with Gildan. The basics brand makes sweatshirts in several different weights — this one is dubbed the Heavy Blend — and 26 different colors.

Recycled Fleece Sweatshirt

Richer Poorer

This eco-conscious sweatshirt comes way of California clothing company Richer Poorer. Constructed from a near even mix of cotton and recycled polyester, this option prevents roughly 40 water bottles from reaching landfills. Righteousness aside, it’s a solid sweatshirt with an added incentive.

Long-Sleeve Sweatshirt

Better basics at a solid price Uniqlo’s thing. So it’s no surprise that its Long-Sleeve Sweatshirt made it to our list. It’s inspired by vintage designs and features a sturdy but soft all-cotton fabric.

The French Terry Crew

Everlane’s crewneck sweatshirt is unsurprisingly part of its Uniform collection, a range of garments requisite for your daily ‘fits. It’s made from 100-percent cotton French terry fabric and is as comfy as it is affordable.

Midweight Terry Sweatshirt

Reigning Champ

Reigning Champ’s Midweight Terry Sweatshirt is what the company was built upon. It’s made in Canada — where some of the best sweats are made — and designed with quality details like inset-raglan sleeves and flatlock stitching for seams that are flush against the skin.

Crewneck Sweatshirt

Garment dyeing gives Alex Mill’s crewneck sweatshirt a worn-in look, which makes it the perfect pair for washed jeans or faded chinos. It’s still sturdy though, considering it’s cut from 100-percent cotton.

Supima Crew Sweatshirt – Putty

Made from American-grown supima cotton, some of the softest you’ll find, Save Khaki’s putty-colored sweatshirt was garment-dyed and pre-shrunk, plus, it’s fully reversible.

French Terry Crewneck Sweatshirt

J.Crew’s super popular sweatshirt is a cut above other big brands. The cotton French tery fabric has a beautiful heathered appearance and is satisfyingly soft to the touch. The bound ribbed collar and v-insert give it that timeless vintage appeal.

Universal Works Mr. K Crew SweatSand Marl

Sweatshirts don’t have to be painfully simple. You can make them interesting with contrasting cuffs and collars, as is the case with Universal Works’ made-in-Portugal Mr. K Crew.

Midweight Pocket Sweatshirt

Todd Snyder x Champion

This one is a modern-day classic. Todd Snyder’s Pocket Sweatshirt is one of the best designs to come out of his ongoing partnership with Champion. It’s substantial, it’s super cozy and it can hold your wallet.

MWL Crewneck Sweatshirt

Madewell’s sunburnt, sort of autumnal orange sweatshirt is made from Betterterry, the brand’s proprietary cotton-poly blend. It’s soft and won’t shrink (or fade) in the wash.

The Standard Crew

Knickerbocker

These take after vintage sweatshirts of the midcentury, featuring a year-round fleece, a classic V insert and a mounted collar. They come in a handful of colors as well as with graphics.

Classic Crewneck Sweatshirt

L.L. Bean doesn’t just make Boat and Totes. But you knew that. (Right?) The brand’s classic crewneck sweatshirt isn’t anything to scoff at. It’s comfortable, 91-percent cotton, 9-percent polyester option that clocks in under $50.

Classic Fleece Crew

Australian surf lifestyle brand Rhythm makes their classic fleece crew in several colors, including what you see here (Baked Clay). Garment dyed and enzyme washed, it’s got a vintage look and worn-in feel, meaning it’ll be an instant favorite.

DJI’s Flagship Mavic 3 Takes Flight With Awesome Upgrades Perfect For Content Creation

DJI has been revving up its marketing push this final quarter with awesome new hardware. So far, we’ve covered a couple and are now ready for another. The Chinese brand and its diverse lineup of products enjoy worldwide recognition for quality and functionality. To bolster its roster of imaging tools is the Mavic 3.

These days, the use of commercial drones for aerial photography/videography is on a steady rise. DJI has managed to best its competitors by catering to various consumers based on their budget. It is now the go-to brand among professionals. The Mavic 3 showcases the very best of DJI with the tagline: “Imaging Above Everything.”

The manufacturer is granting its latest flagship a series of improvements over the outgoing version. Nonetheless, existing owners of the Mavic 2 can still hold off from its purchase if they are willing to wait for what the 2022 model might bring to the table. Still, the upgrades are certainly too enticing to overlook.

What it offers over the previous generation makes it very difficult to ignore. The Mavic 3 boasts a larger sensor – a 4/3” CMOS over the 1” CMOS of the Mavic 2. Flight time has been bumped up to 46 minutes. Meanwhile, transmission distance extends to 9.32 miles (FCC) and 7.46 miles (CE).

DJI also ensures that users get the most intuitive experience with the Mavic 3. Obstacle sensing keeps it safe from collisions, while object tracking helps keep your subject in focus. Finally, the Advanced RTH (Return to Home) feature will now plot the best flight path that conserves battery when you recall the drone.
