One material that’s gained popularity in the watch industry over the last number of years is ceramic, with the material frequently being used to craft bezels, cases and occasionally bracelets.
The main draw for ceramic is its high scratch resistance and strong resistance to fading and corrosion. Because of these properties, a ceramic watch will show wear less than nearly any other material, meaning your ceramic watch will still look brand-new — unfaded and scratch-free — basically forever.
But ceramic, like other materials, isn’t perfect. Its biggest drawback is that it’s brittle. It won’t scratch, but it can crack or shatter, making it more susceptible to breakage than metal materials when dropped.
If someone could craft a form of ceramic that wouldn’t shatter, it just might be the perfect watchmaking material. And that’s exactly what avant-garde Swiss luxury brand Urwerk has created for its new UR-230 Polaris watch.
This isn’t your average ceramic watch.Urwerk
Ceramic, but better
To craft its proprietary new material, Urwerk encased sheets of woven ceramic interwined with layers of fiberglass in a polymer base, with the fiberglass providing the ceramic with the necessary shatter resistance without interrupting the other properties that make ceramic so great.
“The usual ceramics are hard, but it’s also what makes them a liability,” says Urwerk cofounder Felix Baumgartner said in a press release. “So we decided to develop a ceramic, by and for ourselves. Thanks to the glass fibers it contains, it doesn’t break.”

Regarding ultra-compact EDC, no knife hits like WESN’s aptly named Microblade. Not only is this incredibly small flipper blade built exceptionally — more like a full-sized knife than a novelty — but its design makes it much more useful than many other knives in its class.
In an exciting development, WESN has just given us yet another reason to love the Microblade. The brand has released a new, premium, limited edition called the WESN Ridgeback Microblade.
This version of the Microblade retains its signature size and silhouette, but the new hammered titanium handle helps it stand alone.WESN
Still tiny, even more mighty
Thankfully, the Ridgeback Microblade retains the same silhouette and size specs as its less-premium counterparts. For reference, it has a 1.5-inch blade and 2.25-inch handle, which combine for a total length of 3.75 inches and a weight of only one ounce.
However, it does have some significant material and style swaps. For instance, the D2 blade steel is replaced by much higher-grade Böhler M390 steel, renowned for its wear resistance.
The most obvious change is the handle. This one still has a smooth titanium scale on the frame lock side, but the presentation side is now made from hammered titanium instead of smooth titanium or G10.

California has some of the strictest knife laws in the country. Many styles of EDC knives, including OTFs (short for out-the-front), are banned outright.
Some brands, however, have found legal loopholes, skirting the regulations through clever design to produce completely California-legal knives. The Terrain 365 x Prometheus Design Werx CAS OTF is one such knife, and it is exceptional from tip to tail.
The CAS OTF has one of its class’s cleanest, most minimal designs.Terrain 365
Legalize it
As mentioned, California Penal Code 21510 makes most OTF knives illegal. Possessing, carrying, or selling them can result in up to $1,000 in fines and six months in jail.
So, how did PDW and Terrain 365 make the CAS OTF legal to sell, own, and carry? They kept its size below the legal limits.
Short for California Special Out the Front, the CAS OTF’s rustproof Terravantium blade measures up at just 1.925 inches, less than a tenth of an inch smaller than California’s 2.0-inch limit.

While they don’t come cheap, these material choices ensure The Catch will serve its owner faithfully and fastidiously for decades.
The cross-hatched handle pattern harkens to the fishing nets common among coastal communities.Quiet Carry
Inspired by the sea
While this knife’s name might have you thinking it’s too good to be true, it’s more straightforward than you might think. The Catch draws inspiration from the coast.
That means its moniker isn’t a reference to a hidden downside but to the concept of fishing. Looking closely, you’ll see that inspiration extending to the design.
The titanium handle scales, for instance, have a precision-machined cross-hatched grip pattern that resembles fishing nets. Furthermore, its gently curving silhouette harkens to the ebbs and flows of the ocean’s surface.
This subtlety exemplifies Quiet Carry’s exceptional, understated design language and overall production prowess.

French microbrand Baltic consistently shows up in rankings of the best affordable watch brands on the market, and after recently checking out the brand’s handiwork in the metal for the first time at Windup New York, I see what all the fuss is about.
The brand’s styles are drop-dead gorgeous and its finishing and execution both feel elevated for the price point. After playing it safe with its early vintage-inspired pieces like now-iconic Aquascaphe and Bicompax, lately the brand has flexed its creative muscles with weirder releases like the difficult-to-categorize Prismic and micro-rotor-powered MR.
But perhaps Baltic’s most unique watch — and one of its best — is the Hermétique Tourer. Ostensibly a field watch, it looks like no other watch in its category with its bold floating markers made of solid lume, its integrated crown, and the polished steel “blades” encircling its multi-layered dial. First released in stainless steel last year, the Hermétique quickly stood out in a sea of same-same field watches.
Now, a year later, Baltic has introduced a new model to the Hermétique line that makes the quirky field watch feel even more original.
It turns out bronze is a perfect match for the Hermétique’s quirky style.Baltic
Bronze Age
The Hermétique has officially entered its Bronze Age.
Baltic has rolled out three new versions of the contemporary field watch in blue, green and brown, each with a 37mm case made of bronze CuAl8 (a copper-aluminum alloy).

Compared to the robust, sports-watch-oriented movements produced by Rolex and Omega, the calibres that power Glashütte Original watches are a different animal. They’re not necessarily better or worse, just different.
They’re more traditional, more beautiful, and more associated with haute horology dress watches than divers. The SeaQ’s Cal. 36-13 movement is a jaw-dropper with its Glashütte three-quarter plate decorated with stripes, its snailed gears, its blued screws and the 21-carat gold logo on its skeletonized rotor.
When you look at this movement — which is a real treat that’s further amplified by the use of the most domed sapphire caseback I’ve ever seen — you’d never guess it was in a 300m-capable dive watch. But make no mistake, this movement is plenty suited for its task with an amagmentic silicon balance spring and a power reserve of 100 hours.
Yes, you can get this obscenely elegant movement in your rugged dive watch.Photo by Johnny Brayson for Gear Patrol
My One Complaint
My loaner was on a textile strap, which was … fine. It’s a little rough and not really worth discussing in detail, and without having seen the available bracelet, I can’t really judge that aspect of the watch.
My one big complaint about the SeaQ, though, is its size. At 43.2mm in diameter and 15.65mm thick, it’s simply too big. The thickness is pretty manageable, as a lot of that comes from the massively domed sapphire crystals on the front and back of the watch — both of which I enjoyed immensely for the visual interest they provide — but the case diameter is a problem.

December 6, 2024 / Comments Off on “Know Your Stuff” Episode 5: The Rise of Super Shoes
In menswear, accessories are traditionally seen as the final pieces that elevate an outfit from good to great. Clothes provide the base for style, but strategically chosen accessories infuse character and zest for life. Whether your outfit is for casual, business, or a formal occasion, the right accessories will take it to the next level and send a powerful message. In this guide, we will look at seven accessories men must wear to look elegant and sophisticated.
The Classic Watch
According to fashionistas at Cosmopolitan magazine, a classic watch isn’t merely a timepiece; it is a dignified heritage(timepiece). The right watch can go with everything from a formal look to a casual outfit. Search for one that suits your style, be it an elegant minimalist timepiece, a sporty chronograph, or even a traditional leather strap watch. A good watch helps to elevate your image and acts as an icebreaker— a sign of good taste and attention to detail.
Leather Belt
A leather belt is one of those essentials that can complete your fit. Apart from functionality, it is equally important for fashion purposes too. Wear a belt that is coordinated with the tone of your shoes. Most outfits match nicely with a classic black or brown leather belt, while a textured or patterned belt can add an element of interest. Also, be aware of the buckle style. A simple, slick buckle works great for formal events, while a more decorative design can be an excellent pick for casual events. A stylish belt fits well and improves your overall shape, too.
Stylish Sunglasses
Not only are sunglasses a practical piece of equipment, but they are also a way to make any outfit pop! The right sunglasses can complement your features and outfit in a significant way. Apart from style, check out a good-quality lens. With glare reduction and UV protection, polarized lenses are a practical option for bright sunny days. Whether you are at the beach, on a drive, or heading to an outdoor event, a good pair of stylish sunglasses makes a great statement, making you look collected and never out of style.
Pocket Square
It may seem small, but the pocket square is an accessory that has a lot of impact. A classic addition to your suit jacket or blazer, it adds a touch of color and texture, turning your outfit up a notch in one simple move. They are also available in different styles of fabrics, prints, and colors allowing you to showcase your personality and take your outfit game to the next level.
When it comes to styling a pocket square, that depends a lot on the occasion and your entire look. A classic white linen pocket square is timeless and elegant, but a more colorful, bold patterned pocket square can add interest to a casual or fashion-forward look.
Quality Footwear
Many of us would agree that shoes are an essential part of any man’s attire. Nothing completes a great outfit like a well-chosen pair of shoes and the opposite is true as well. Whatever your taste be it loafers, brogues, or modern-day sleek sneakers, good shoes should exhibit the aspects of comfort and style. In that regard, search for designer footwear that has been crafted from the best materials, because such shoes will be more durable and even smart-looking.
Practicality stands out when selecting footwear as well. For instance, a well-tailored pair of brown leather shoes can be paired with both suits and smart-casual wear. On the other hand, clean and fashionable pairs of white sneakers would suffice for most casual wear. Whatever your option may be, make sure that your shoes are well-kept – a clean and polished pair of shoes leaves a very good impression.
Functional Messenger Bag
An elegant messenger bag is more than just a necessary item; it is also a fashionable accessory. There is always a perfect bag designed for your personal use, work, or weekend escapade that will make you look good and still offer adequate storage. Leather and other tough canvas materials are good if you want to look smart.
When one opts for messenger bags one should look into: size and organization. First of all, look for a room providing any pockets or compartments inside, which are most important for keeping a laptop or documents or personal items in order.
Statement Jewelry
Statement jewelry is something that allows men to showcase their personality and style. These items do not blend into the attire, like the typical additional objects they are worn, instead; they include magnificent rings, sculptural bracelets, and extravagant necklaces. They make a statement; that’s why they are called that. Each of them can be a very personal form of art, depending on how one wears it. An uncommon item will make all the difference in a plain-looking ensemble, as it will transform the most boring of attires into a spectacular one.
Statement accessories, such as sleek cufflinks or bold watches serve a similar purpose for men as Moissanite rings do for women. These pieces also serve as icebreakers – for many, it is an excuse or rather an opportunity to interact with other people. There is a reason why people go for bold declarations when it comes to accessories: such accessories tend to elicit lots of questions and compliments, creating a vacuum that the wearer will feel inclined to fill. It helps you not only to establish your physical presence in social events but also acts as a booster of your spirit as you will be able to make everyone hear your voice without any restrictions. Because it involves departing from the norms of dressing, statement jewelry also encourages one to take advantage of their eccentricities in the fashion world.
Final Words
Stylish accessories have always been effective in augmenting personal style. The seven accessories properly discussed here include classic watches, leather belts, beautiful shades, pocket squares, good shoes, office messenger bags, and fashion jewelry. These all help to achieve a polished look. So this holiday. upgrade your wardrobe in style!

After the Speedmaster Moonwatch, Omega’s most recognizable model — by far — is the Seamaster Diver 300M. First launched in 1993, the watch rocketed to fame on the wrist of Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond in the 1995 film Goldeneye, and it’s been associated with the character ever since.
The current generation of the watch debuted in 2018, introducing a bolder new aesthetic with a polished ceramic bezel with more symmetrical markings, a larger 42mm case size, a display caseback, a Master Chronometer movement, and a polished ceramic dial with laser-engraved waves. This ultramodern version has become a beloved icon itself and has consistently ranked among the best — if not the best — luxury dive watches on the market since its debut.
But it’s looking more and more like we’ve seen the last of this beloved generation of the Seamaster, as Omega keeps releasing new divers that leave the ceramic wave dial in the past.
Omega’s newest Seamaster Diver continues to follow the recent 007-inspired trend.Omega
It’s James Bond’s Fault
Omega launched another new Seamaster Diver 300M today, this time with a two-tone case made of titanium and the brand’s proprietary Bronze Gold alloy. The dial is colored green and made of sandblasted aluminum with no waves, while the bezel insert is also green aluminum. The dial has no date, the bracelet is titanium mesh and the crystal is a bulbous domed sapphire.
It’s largely the same design language we saw on the two new Seamaster Divers the brand released earlier this month, one of which featured a brushed steel dial and steel relief bezel while the other was in stainless steel with a black aluminum bezel and dial featuring smaller, ’90s-style waves. Both of those watches have no-date dials, mesh bracelets and domed crystals.

In fact, the thumb stud (which is actually removable, should you want to delete it entirely) actually serves as a wave opener — similar to the Emerson Wave — allowing you to deploy and open the knife in a single, fluid motion.
The removable thumb stud doubles as a wave opener, making deploying the Hel Karambit lightning-quick.Böker
More than meets the eye
Penned by Italian knifemaker Alessandra De Santis of Hydra Design, Böker’s Hel sports plenty of traditional karambit features that are sure to instill confidence in the knife. However, it’s the differences that really help elevate and refine it.
The blade, for instance, has the signature Hawkbill curve to it, but not so much that it becomes unusable for daily tasks. In fact, the blade’s gentle belly arc is ideal for things like opening packages and cutting loose strings from apparel.
Furthermore, the handle’s G10 material has a textured finish to it, almost like a canvas Micarta, that gives the Hel a much more modern, urbane appearance, unlike its more aggressive, tactical siblings.
The Hel even comes with a removable wire pocket clip, which can be attached to either side for ambidextrous carry (the flipper and thumb stud also work ambidextrously).

Many a product (and brand) has been torn limb from limb in the comments of Reddit threads, often for good reasons. But there are also pockets of positivity for products that truly stand out.
The Slow N’ Sear insert from SnS Grills is one of the most widely praised products I’ve ever encountered on Reddit across authoritative threads, including r/smoking and r/grilling.
It’s a simple accessory designed to work with most charcoal kettle grills of various sizes. They also make variants for kamado-style grills like the iconic Big Green Egg.
Every version is essentially a semicircle-shaped stainless steel charcoal basket. More advanced versions also include a reservoir for holding water.
Grilling Enthusiasts Praise the Slow N’ Sear Basket
We’ve rarely seen a product that’s so universally praised on Reddit, especially among grilling experts. SnS Grills
Here’s just a smattering of comments you’ll find about the Slow N’ Sear insert, all from different users, posted on a single thread in r/Smoking alone from just 5 months ago, which I’ve lightly edited in some cases for clarity.
“I love it. Really, really love it.” “Worth every penny. Love mine.” “Mine never leaves my kettle” “I use it all the time” “100% the best upgrade ever for a Weber Kettle.” “I have it my 22 and love it.” “Basically the only time I don’t use it is if I’m making a ton of hot dogs” “It’s the best upgrade for the Weber Kettle.” “Mine doesn’t leave the kettle. Invaluable” “Worth the money. Use mine for everything except wings.” “I use it for nearly every cook I do. Love it” “Best purchase I made when it came to smoking on the 22” “Love it, game changer. It caused me to love my Weber kettle more than my Traeger”

Available for pre-order now, amp promises a more intelligent way to strength train in clean, simple form factor.
amp
Published December 5, 2024
Welcome to Talking Points, a series that looks at what makes certain products worth talking about, brought to you by Gear Patrol Studios.
On the whole, home workout equipment has looked like, well, workout equipment since it first made the leap from gyms to our living rooms. Which is to say it doesn’t exactly fit in with that Herman Miller chair.
Add to that the fact that most machines are essentially “dumb,” and you start to see why the folks at amp saw a ripe opportunity to disrupt the category.
The brand’s inaugural product is a smart strength device promising an elegant user experience in a clean, simple form factor designed to compliment your home’s vibe, not detract from it. Here’s what you need to know about this compelling new device.
amp
The Backstory
The team at amp, which is made up of tech and fitness-industry veterans from brands including Apple, Nike and more, felt strongly that the home workout space was overdue for a shake-up. So, in 2021, they launched amp to reimagine the strength routine with a product defined as much by its considered, elegant design as the transformative, AI-powered fitness experience it could deliver.
The Gist
Functionally, amp says the device’s algorithms continually monitor and adjust workouts based on the user’s progress and build science-backed, gamified workout programs to power their progress. The device will feature smart modes to deliver variable resistance automatically and utilize live capture to track your reps so you can focus on your form instead of keeping count in your head.
The sleek, aluminum device was meticulously designed to both withstand the rigors of use while seamlessly integrating into the user’s environment. One design element we love? The lack of an integrated display. In conjunction with the amp app, the device instead leverages the screen you already have — your smartphone.
Our POV
When you consider everything this device offers, it’s easy to see why the team at amp is so bullish about it being the antidote to the underwhelming home fitness equipment currently on the market.
With so much tech packed into such a streamlined, modern-looking device, we think amp may have created the perfect all-in-one home strength system for those with an uncompromising approach to their fitness and home decor.
amp will retail for $1,795 and can be reserved today with a $99 deposit. Shipping begins in early 2025.

December 5, 2024 / Comments Off on This AI-Powered Home Gym Looks (and Works) Unlike Any Other
The movement measures just 3.7mm thick thanks to its tungsten micro-rotor — a feature normally reserved for far more expensive watches. It also beats at 4 Hz yet maintains an impressive power reserve of 70 hours, all the while maintaining a stated near-COSC accuracy -3/+7 seconds per day. This is all very impressive stuff for an in-house movement at this price.
Yema’s in-house micro-rotor movement was always impressive, but now it has the premium looks to match its performance.Yema
Yema has used this movement in several watches before, including in limited-edition Wristmasters, but the movements used were frankly pretty ugly with undecorated PVD-coated bridges. Here, the bridges have been decorated with Côtes de Genève in a sunray pattern that’s reminiscent of Omega’s “Geneva waves in arabesque” treatment. It’s gorgeous and looks quite luxurious, and is a far better fit for the micro-rotor.
Luxury for Less
In addition to the movement, the new Wristmaster has another trick up its sleeve — yet another feature borrowed from high-end watches. The butterfly clasp hides a micro-adjustment system that allows 1.5mm to 3mm of extra room in the bracelet.
It’s a feature first seen on the $20,000+ Vacheron Constantin Overseas but adapted earlier this year by Christopher Ward, a Yema competitor, for its own integrated sports watch, the Twelve. All three systems function very similarly: You simply pull and push the clasp to adjust it.

Bulova
Partner Product
Bulova Racer Chronograph – 98B427
With a unique design evoking the aerodynamic curves of the world’s fastest automobiles, the Racer Chronograph features a contoured stainless steel case with a two-tone orange and black tachymeter ring that adds functionality and pronounced pushers that enhance its automotive aesthetic. The five-hand chronograph dial includes a date display at 6 o’clock and subdials for minutes and 24-hour time, and a bold orange seconds hand and super-luminous hands and markers ensure readability in any light, no matter the speed. The Racer Chronograph is also available with a black leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet.
Omega
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Black No-Date
This new Seamaster features a black no-date dial paired with a black aluminum bezel. The dial is also in aluminum and features laser-engraved waves in a finer pattern that resembles the original “Bond” Seamaster watches of the 1990s. All markings on the hands and bezel, as well as all dial text, are in white, giving the watch a classic monochrome look. In other words, it’s exactly what fans have been asking Omega to make for ages.
Serica
Serica Parade
Dress watches largely tend to follow the same basic formula. Smallish round or rectangular case, simple dial, leather strap, probably shiny. French microbrand Serica flips the script with the Parade, which boasts a never-before-seen shape — essentially an ellipse with straight sides. The case also features a stepped design with varying brushed and polished finishes, leading to a dramatic, tall, vertically brushed bezel with mirror-polished sides.
Girard-Perregaux
Girard-Perregaux Casquette 2.0 Titanium and Gold
It’s not often that a quartz watch sends enthusiasts into a frenzy, but then again, not many quartz watches can hold a candle to the Girard-Perregaux Casquette. The sci-fi-inspired original from 1976 was one of the world’s first digital watches, and its retro-futuristic design still looked just as radical and exciting when GP revived the watch as the Casquette 2.0 in black ceramic and titanium two years ago. Now, the Casquette 2.0 is back once again, this time in bare titanium with its applied logo and pushers in solid 18K yellow gold. The watch’s Cal. GP03980 quartz movement boasts numerous functions, including a chronograph, date and second time zone, and the watch’s titanium bracelet features a comfortable rubber lining and a micro-adjustable clasp. Production is limited to just 820 watches, but the SRP is a highly reasonable $4,960, making this the only watch in Girard-Perregaux’s current catalog under $5,000.
Bremont
Bremont Supermarine Full Ceramic
The Supermarine Full Ceramic marks the first time Bremont has created a watch with a ceramic case. The lightweight material is renowned for its extreme hardness and near invulnerability to scratching, so its use here, at least in some respects, makes this new diver the toughest Bremont has ever made. Complementing the nearly unscratchable case are more hard-wearing and lightweight components. The crown, engraved screw-down caseback and knurled bezel are made of PVD-treated titanium, and the bezel also boasts a ceramic insert to match the case with its markings in relief.
Christopher Ward
Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto Classic
Christopher Ward’s new take on its most impressive watch is called the C1 Bel Canto Classic, as it takes a more classic approach to design than the futuristic original. The most prominent changes occur on the dial, where a sunburst platine has been replaced by a traditional guilloché pattern. But there’s nothing traditional about how the guilloché was created. Rather than being engraved by hand using a rose engine, the engravings are done with a state-of-the-art Femto laser in a process that takes about two hours per dial.
Tudor
Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT “Zulu Time”
Finally, Tudor launched the exact watch that fans have been pleading for: a GMT version of the brand’s top-line Pelagos dive watch. On paper, it may be best GMT watch Tudor has ever made, thanks to its titanium build, ceramic bezel, thinness and Master Chronometer movement.
Breguet
Breguet Type XX Rose Gold
This luxurious take on one of the most iconic military watches ever swaps out a stainless steel case for one made of solid rose gold. It also uses a glossy ceramic insert for the bezel, marking not only the first time Breguet has used the material in a Type XX watch but also the first time the brand has used ceramic in any of its watches.
Norqain
Norqain Independence Skeleton Chrono Titanium
Norqain’s greatest claim to fame is the Wild One Skeleton, a watch that went viral earlier this year after actor Mark Wahlberg began wearing it on TV and on social media. Now Norqain has a brand-new chronograph in the Independence line that not only is threatening to take the Wild One’s position as the brand’s flagship watch, but also might just be the coolest chronograph on the market today.
Omega
Omega Speedmaster First Omega in Space
Back in 2012, Omega released a new Speedmaster variation dubbed the “First Omega in Space.” Often referred to as the “FOiS” by enthusiasts, this Speedy was based on the ref. CK2998 version of the iconic chronograph that astronaut Wally Schirra wore to space during the Mercury program’s Sigma 7 mission in 1962. Omega discontinued the original FOiS reissue back in 2021 but finally brought the style back with an entirely new version inspired by Schirra’s historic model. It features some major improvements over its predecessor, including a top-of-the-line Calibre 3861, METAS certification and a CVD-coated blue-gray color inspired by some ref. CK2998 watches the brand produced in the 1960s.
Longines
Longines Spirit Zulu Time Titanium
Longines updated its already great Spirit Zulu Time 39 with a version made of Grade 5 titanium, making the watch lighter and more premium-feeling than ever. The new GMT also marks the debut of a bi-color ceramic bezel insert for the Zulu Time, adding another luxurious touch. With these upgrades, Longines’ latest travel watch feels destined to duke it out with Tudor’s Black Bay Fifty-Eight GMT for the title of Best GMT of the Year.
Tissot
Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Forged Carbon
Tissot crafted the most high-end version of its PRX Powermatic 80 yet, swapping out the stainless steel case for one made from rugged and lightweight forged carbon. The futuristic material is also used for the dial, while the movement gets an upgrade with the addition of a silicon balance spring.
H. Moser & Cie. x Studio Underd0g
H. Moser & Cie. x Studio Underd0g Project Passion
The year’s most talked-about watch collab is this unexpected team-up between H. Moser & Cie. and Studio Underd0g. On the surface, the brands couldn’t be more different. The former is a Swiss haute horological force with two centuries of history and an average SRP of $37,000, the latter a British upstart formed during the Covid-19 pandemic that’s best-known for selling $600 watches with Chinese movements. But what the two brands share is an eye for design, a cheeky sense of humor and an intense passion for watchmaking. It’s this shared passion that led to the Project Passion collab: Two watches with passion fruit-inspired colorways, one from each brand. Moser contributes an Endeavour Perpetual Calendar gussied up in the purple and gold like Lebron James, while Studio Underd0g debuts its 03Series chronograph with a Swiss-made movement for the first time. The only downside? They’re only available as a pair for $65K.
Nivada Grenchen
Nivada Grenchen Chronosport
Nivada is at it again with the vintage reissues, this time recreating an exceedingly rare 1970s chronograph with a unique two register layout and a highly sought-after “Paul Newman” dial. But this is no Rolex homage. Nivada used “exotic” dials produced by Singer back in the mid-century, just as Rolex did, meaning the original Chronosport was a contemporary of the Rolex Daytona rather than a copy.
M.A.D.Editions
NEW RELEASE
M.A.D.Editions M.A.D.1S
Following the recent news that Chanel had acquired a 25-percent stake in his luxury watch brand MB&F, acclaimed independent watchmaker Max Büsser has announced the latest and greatest M.A.D.1 watch from his more affordable M.A.D.Editions brand. Initially launched in 2022, the original M.A.D.1 brought Büsser’s avant-garde horological designs, which typically sell for six figures under the MB&F label, to everyday enthusiasts for just 3,000 CHF thanks in part to its affordable Japanese Miyota movement. The new version, the M.A.D.1S, is a complete revamp. Featuring an ice-blue dial, the watch is the first M.A.D.1 to house a Swiss-made movement, the La Joux-Perret G101. The new watch is also 3mm slimmer than before thanks to the new movement and a redesigned time display, and a bit pricier at 3,135 CHF (~$3,715).
Jaeger-LeCoultre
Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic
JLC added its Geographic complication — one of the best dual-time systems in the luxury watch game — to its Polaris dive watch. With the killer travel feature, 100m of water resistance, sporty looks and a 70-hour power reserve, this might just be the perfect vacation watch.
Parmigiani
New Release
Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Sport Chronograph
Just in time for summer, Parmigiani has launched its sportiest watch ever. The Tonda PF Sport Chronograph gets a fresh coat of paint with three fun new panda-style colorways in stainless steel — Milano Blue, Arctic Grey and London Grey — with each mounted on a matching stitched rubber strap.
Audemars Piguet
Audemars Piguet [RE]MASTER02
Modern-day AP is sometimes criticized for just being the “Royal Oak” company, but unexpected releases like this show why the brand is one of Swiss watchmaking’s “Holy Trinity.” The [RE]MASTER02 is a modern reimagining of one of the rarest AP references ever from the 1960s, the ref. 5159BA, and its asymmetrical case design and multi-part dial are just as wild today as they were 60 years ago.
Panerai
Panerai Submersible Elux LAB-ID
A breakthrough innovation in the world of mechanical watches, Panerai’s 500m-capable dive watch in the brand’s new Ti-Ceramitech material (a fusion of titanium and ceramic) features a tiny generator inside its movement that transforms stored mechanical energy into electrical light, giving you lasting ultra-bright illumination at the press of a button without the use of a battery or traditional electronics.
Longines
Longines Conquest Automatic 38
Longines’ reconfigured Conquest might just be the best everyday watch you can buy for around $2,000. With its new 38mm case size, the robust sports watch now sits in a sweet spot size-wise, meaning it can bring its perfect blend of sporty and dressy looks to even more wrists.
Ressence
Ressence Type 5 L
Ressence made its unusual and highly visible dive watch even more visible underwater, creating perhaps the most legible diver ever. The Type 5 already boasted an oil-filled dial that made it readable from any angle, but the Type 5 L adds a fully-luminous display for clear legibility even in total darkness.
For its second official watch as the timekeeping partner of the BWT Alpine F1 team, Moser did something wild and colorful. In other words, the watch is completely on brand. It’s a Streamliner powered by a skeletonized cylindrical tourbillon movement featuring a domed dial crafted from transparent pink synthetic spinel and mounted on a hot pink natural rubber strap.
Christopher Ward
Christopher Ward C60 Trident Lumière
Christopher Ward has come up with an unexpected version of its flagship Trident dive watch that’s unlike anything we’ve seen from the brand before … or any brand, really. The new diver is CW’s lightest and thinnest yet, with a Grade 2 titanium case and bracelet. The 41mm case measures just 10.85mm thin, while the new bracelet boasts a 6.5mm taper and an improved push-button micro-adjust clasp. Under the hood is a COSC-certified Sellita SW300 automatic movement, while the case gets a new helium escape valve and a fully-lumed ceramic bezel. But the real star of the show is the dial. All of the indices, the logo, and most of the handset are made from Globolight; solid blocks of ceramic lume usually seen on higher-end watch brands like Moser. CW says the lume glows twice as brightly as any other Trident, and since the standard Trident 300 was already one of the brightest divers around, that’s saying something.
Breitling
Breitling Perpetual Calendar Chronographs
To celebrate 140 years in business, Breitling has released what may be its most complicated watches ever. For the first time in its near-century-and-a-half as a watchmaker, the brand has produced an in-house perpetual chronograph calendar movement for the first time ever. To mark this momentous occasion, the brand has simultaneously launched three new watches powered by the groundbreaking movement — one from each of its main chronograph lines: the Navitimer, Chronomat and Premier. All three perpetual calendar chronos are housed in an 18K red gold case and are limited to 140 pieces each.
Piaget
NEW RELEASE
Piaget Polo Skeleton Ceramic
After leaning into the heritage of the line by reissuing the original Polo from 1979 earlier this year, Piaget is now taking its flagship watch collection in an entirely different direction with the debut of the Polo Skeleton Ceramic. The first-ever ceramic watch from the 150-year-old brand, the Polo Skeleton Ceramic is likely the most contemporary watch we’ve ever seen from Piaget. Its 42mm black ceramic case has a titanium and sapphire caseback and houses a fully-in-house skeletonized automatic movement with a black finish and blue-hued micro-rotor. Heightening the modern vibes are the two quick-change integrated rubber straps that come with the watch, one black and one blue, that allow you to easily change the look of the piece without tools.
Hamilton
Hamilton Khaki Field Quartz
Hamilton vastly improved the most affordable version of its iconic field watch while also somehow making it cheaper. Available in two smaller sizes — crowd-pleasing 38mm or historically accurate 33mm — the new Khaki Field Quartz also gets a cleaned-up dial with a slight retro vibe thanks to the ’80s-inspired “Khaki” logo at 6 o’clock.
TAG Heuer
TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Date
TAG Heuer has spent the past few generations adding more refinements to its flagship diver, and this year it may have finally perfected it. The latest and greatest Aquaracer is now fully competitive against its luxury dive watch brethren thanks to an engraved wave dial, a smaller case, better finishing throughout and a new COSC-certified manufacture movement with an 80-hour power reserve.
Christopher Ward
Christopher Ward The Twelve X
One of the most ambitious watches ever launched by Christopher Ward, the Twelve X is crafted from a mix of Grade 2 and Grade 5 titanium and is powered by a skeletonized version of the brand’s in-house Calibre SH21 5-day automatic movement.
The James Brand x Timex
Timex x The James Brand x Titanium GMT
In a seriously impressive collab that basically no one saw coming, Timex and The James Brand teamed up to bring us one of the best affordable GMTs on the market. With a titanium case and bracelet, sapphire sandwich construction, 200m water resistance, Super-LumiNova lume and a “true” GMT automatic movement, this sharp-looking watch fills out a spec sheet like nothing else in its price bracket.
Zodiac
Zodiac Super Sea Wolf GMT Pink
An improved version of Zodiac’s dual-time diver, this GMT is fitted on the brand’s fan-favorite Jubilee-style bracelet and is powered by the STP7-20 manufacture movement. Best of all is the hot pink, white and black colorway inspired by the Caribbean.
Christopher Ward
Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Elite
Four years after becoming the first brand to produce a true Super Compressor dive watch case in 50 years, Christopher Ward has launched a new Super Compressor that brings in another forgotten dive watch feature of yesteryear: a colorful decompression timer dial. The “Elite” watch also gets a new COSC-certified movement for good measure.
Seiko
Seiko Marinemaster SLA079
Following up the rebirth of the Marinemaster name as a smaller, leaner dive watch last year, Seiko returns the cult classic to its roots by bringing us a bigger and badder Marinemaster in 2024. This year’s version clocks in at 42.6mm across and once again boasts a 300-meter depth rating.
Luminox
Luminox Pacific Diver Automatic
The first automatic version in Luminox’s Pacific Diver series is a legitimate entry-level luxury contender thanks to a ceramic bezel insert, a Sellita movement, 200m of water resistance and tritium-powered Luminox Light Technology. It has to be considered one of the most competitive entries in the sub-$1,500 dive watch market.
Bell & Ross
Bell & Ross BR 03 Diver
Bell & Ross’s revamped square-cased dive watch gets a ceramic insert, a more legible dial, a more streamlined rubber strap and an improved automatic movement to become a seriously compelling option for anyone looking for an unorthodox diver.
Ulysse Nardin
Ulysse Nardin Diver Net OPS
One of the most extreme military-style divers around, Ulysse Nardin’s rugged Diver Net OPS also happens to be the “most sustainable sports watch with a manufacture movement on the market” thanks to a case made from a mix of 95-percent recycled steel, upcycled fishing nets and Carbonium, UN’s proprietary carbon fiber composite made from airplane manufacturing scraps. That’s right, this dive watch contains airplane parts.
MING
MING 37.09 Bluefin
MING has never made a typical watch, so it makes sense that the Malaysian brand’s take on a dive watch would be just as out there as the rest of its lineup. Instead of featuring a traditional dive bezel, the 37.09 Bluefin has its timing scale printed on the dial itself, while the indices remain stationary as a Hyceram luminous ring on the underside of the sapphire crystal. Turn the crown at 4 o’clock and the entire dial rotates, giving you a unique (and very cool) way to track your dive.
Fortis
Fortis Novonaut AMADEE-24
Fortis has a decades-long history as a space-faring watch brand (its Cosmonaut Chronograph was the Omega Speedmaster equivalent for Russia’s NASA counterpart, Roscosmos), so it makes perfect sense the company would release a watch destined for Mars. This tough chrono features a unique communications delay bezel for timing those long transmissions to and from the red planet, and its in-house automatic movement has literally been tested in space to ensure it’s up to the task of interplanetary travel.
Tudor
Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight GMT
The Black Bay 58 GMT is compact and thin, loaded with features like the quick-adjust T-fit clasp on both the bracelet and rubber strap options, and boasts METAS certification as a Master Chronometer.
Patek Philippe
Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph 5980/60G
A hype watch if there ever were one, this watch marks the first time the Nautilus Flyback Chronograph has been crafted in white gold. Toss in an opaline blue-gray dial and a denin-effect leather strap that looks like it was cut from a pair of blue jeans and you’ve got a recipe for a watch that’s impossible to purchase at retail.
Rolex
Rolex Deepsea Yellow Gold
Rolex kicked off the debut of the Deepsea as its own standalone line with this beast of watch. It features a bracelet and case made from 18-karat gold, with the caseback and helium escape valve in titanium to withstand the pressures associated with its 3,900m depth rating.
Zenith
Zenith Defy Extreme Diver
Zenith’s first dive watch in 20 years is thoroughly modern and highly impressive. The watch features a quick-release bracelet system (it comes with a bracelet and two straps), a snappy bezel is crafted entirely from ceramic — no insert here — and it’s one of the only dive watches powered by a high-beat automatic movement.
Bulgari
Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC
Absurdly thin at just 1.7mm “thick,” this watch retook the crown from Richard Mille as the world’s thinnest watch in 2024. But that’s not it’s only world record, as it’s also the world’s thinnest COSC-certified chronometer.
Vacheron Constantin
Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time Pink Gold
The standout offering from Vacheron’s first green-dial Overseas combines its subtle yet striking shade with luxurious pink gold and its intuitive and pleasingly asymmetrical dual-time function.
Ulysse Nardin
Ulysse Nardin Freak S Nomad
Powered by the wild UN-251 movement with its starship-like carousel front and center, the Freak S Nomad ups the wow factor even more thanks to the striking diamond guilloché pattern on its metallic non-dial.
TAG Heuer
TAG Heuer Monaco Rattrapante
A highly limited reimagining of the iconic chronograph, this ultra high-end version of the Steve McQueen favorite features a split-second chronograph, a Grade 5 titanium case and an openwork movement.
Parmigiani Fleurier
Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Petite Seconde Rose Gold
Parmigiani’s reborn Toric collection is classiness personified, with soft lines, careful detailing and a sueded leather strap. It’s also bursting with precious metal: the case, dial, hands, indices, crown, buckle and even the movement are all crafted from gold.
Panerai
Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa Ti-Ceramitech
This diver is the first watch to feature Panerai’s Ti-Ceramitech material, a combination of titanium and ceramic that achieves its blue color from a Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation process that also makes it ten times more resistant to fracturing than ceramic.
Oris
Oris Aquis Date Calibre 400
Oris’s latest version of it flagship dive watch features a thinner case, a color-matched date wheel and the in-house Calibre 400 movement with its 5-day power reserve and 10-year warranty.
Montblanc
Montblanc Iced Sea 0 Oxygen Deep 4810
The first dive watch imbued with Montblanc’s 0 Oxygen technology, this Iced Sea has had all oxygen from within the watch to improve performance in extreme environments. That’s a good thing, since it’s water resistant to 4,810m — the inverted height of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps.
IWC
IWC Portugieser Eternal Calendar
If a standard perpetual calendar’s 400 years of accuracy aren’t enough for you, how about this? IWC’s Eternal Calendar accounts for the Gregorian calendar’s skipping of the leap year every 400 years, and the brand claims it to have a moonphase accuracy of 45 million years.

Patek Philippe World Time 5330G-001
The first World Time in Patek’s permanent collection to feature a date complication, the 5330G shows the date via a pointer mounted on a glass hand so as not to interrupt the symmetry of the dial. A denim-effect leather strap is the cherry on top that clues you into how unique and special this watch is.
Rolex
Rolex Sky Dweller 336935

Available in red gold or ultra-tough Grade 23 titanium, the more compact version of the iconic diver is still powered by the impressive in-house Cal. 1315 movement with its five-day power reserve.

Breitling Navitimer Automatic GMT 41
For this unique release, Breitling combined two icons of pilot’s watches, its Navitimer and the GMT complication, to create this mashup. A spin on the time-only variant of the Navitimer with the added dual-time tracking ability, the watch has a cleaner appearance than a Navitimer Chronograph but still packs plenty of functionality.

Timex
Timex Marlin Moonphase
While most watches in Timex’s 1960s-inspired Marlin line feature mechanical movements, the brand went in a different direction for the Marlin Moonphase. Here, a quartz movement powers a triple calendar and moonphase, allowing the dressy, high-end complications to be had for a bargain price.
Audemars Piguet
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openworked “Sand Gold”
The Royal Oak is not only one of the most iconic watches ever made, but it’s also a platform for endless experimentation by Audemars Piguet. In this instance, the maison crafted a brand-new 18K gold alloy dubbed Sand Gold. Timex

A refined piece from Seiko’s Presage Classic series, the SPB467 features a salmon-colored (technically araigaki), textured dial inspired by silk. This is paired with a dressy seven-link bracelet that’s somewhat akin to a Jubilee with its contrasting mix of satin-brushed and mirror-polished finishing.
Hamilton
Hamilton Ventura Edge Dune Limited Edition
One of two special-edition watches made by Hamilton in collaboration with the blockbuster sci-fi film Dune: Part Two, the Ventura Edge Dune most closely resembles the “Desert Watch” prop that Hamilton made for the film. The limited-edition digital watch boasts a case made from black PVD stainless steel and a blue light-up feature that can be activated with the push of a button.
Norqain
Norqain Adventure Sport Chrono 44 Limited Edition
This limited-edition version of Norqain’s Adventure Sport Chrono puts a colorful spin on the trademark Norqain pattern dial, coloring it a bright cerulean blue with a color-matched date wheel and adding black subdials to match the black DLC stainless steel case. The use of a Sellita-based movement in place of one of Norqain’s manufacture calibers also makes the watch more affordable than you might think.
Jack Mason
Jack Mason Ellum Manual Wind
Jack Mason’s ongoing transformation from fashion brand to enthusiast favorite continued with the release of the Ellum Manual Wind, a completely reborn dress watch model from the Texas-based brand. With an intricate woven linen dial, a nicely finished hand-wound Swiss movement and a thickness of just 9mm, the retro Ellum offers a shocking amount of style and value.
Malbon Golf
TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 45MM x Malbon Golf Edition
Wondering who buys TAG Heuer’s Connected watch? It’s golfers, which makes the brand’s collab with hot golf style brand Malbon the perfect match. In addition to the typical golf-specific goodies you get with TAG’s Connected Golf Edition watch, the Malbon version gets two custom dials, a pair of custom straps and special Malbon packaging.
Zenith
Zenith Defy Skyline Tourbillon
The Zenith Defy Skyline is one of the most compelling more affordable alternatives to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, but what if you want a less expensive version of the Royal Oak Tourbillon? Well, there’s a Defy Skyline for you, too. This version of Zenith’s sharp-angled sports watch features a tourbillon at six o’clock that whizzes around its axis at 36,000 VpH thanks to the high-frequency El Primero movement.
Tissot
Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Damian Lillard Special Edition
If there were ever an NBA player who deserved a signature watch, it’s sharpshooter Damian Lillard thanks to his patented “Dame Time” celebrations where he points to his wrist after hitting a clutch shot. This collab with the league’s official timekeeper pairs a black dial patterned with Lillard’s jersey number “0” with the gold PVD version of the 40mm PRX Powermatic 80, and also features an image of Dame mid-celebration on the caseback.
Omega
Omega Constellation Meteorite
For this sleek, futuristic upgrade to the Constellation, Omega has paired meteorite dials with one of its most storied watches. Featuring unique dials made from slices of the 4.5 billion-year-old Muonionalusta meteorite, the spaced-out Connies come in four sizes and myriad colors and materials. But our pick of the litter is the 41mm version in stainless steel that pairs its gray meteorite dial with a black ceramic bezel.
Casio
Casio Casiotron TRN-50
To celebrate its 50th year in 2024, Casio released this limited-edition, upgraded reissue of its very first watch. The reborn Casiotron features some high-end, G-Shock-esque features, including Tough Solar power, Multi-band 6 atomic timekeeping and smartphone connectivity.
Nomos Glashütte
Nomos Club Campus 38 Endless Blue
One of several bright and intriguing colors in Nomos’s entry-level Club Campus line, the Endless Blue variant matches a fetching Tiffany Blue-esque dial with lumed numeral indices outlined in lavender and a bright-orange small seconds hand.
Farer
Farer Roché II
Farer’s updated version of its best-in-class worldtimer sees a number of upgrades over its predecessor. The movement now comes from Sellita and is customized specifically for Farer, with a 50 power reserve and blue custom rotor. The hands are now more contemporary and the date window has been cleaned up. And the crazy lume? Just as crazy as ever.
H. Moser & Cie.
H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Smoked Salmon
An even more minimalist take on Moser’s already absurdly minimalist perpetual calendar, the Smoked Salmon version adorns its tasty fumé dial with just five hands for the hours, minutes, center seconds, power reserve and a tiny hand in the middle to indicate the month. A date window appears adjacent to the crown at 4:30, and that’s it — not even a logo appears anywhere on the near-naked dial.
Girard-Perregaux
Girard-Perregaux Free Bridge Meteorite
One of the most modern variations of GP’s ancient Bridges platform, the Free Bridge Meteorite decorates its inverted movement “dial” with two meteorite bridges, symmetrically placed on the right and left. In between them are the mainspring barrel at 12 o’clock — with the spring facing out — and the balance wheel at six, creating a visually pleasing layout that’s also readable in the dark thanks to surprisingly good lume on the hands and indices.
Baltic
Baltic Prismic
Coming somewhere between a dress watch and a sports watch is Baltic’s difficult-to-classify Prismic. But whatever type of watch it is, one thing is for certain: It’s beautiful. The Prismic comes on a fitted stainless steel mesh strap and has a five-part case made of stainless steel and Grade 5 titanium. But the star of the show is the dial, which features multiple finishing styles and geometric patterns.
G-Shock
G-Shock x Team Land Cruiser Toyota Auto Body Mudman GW9500TLC-1
A collab between G-Shock and Toyota Land Cruiser’s Dakar Rally team, this limited edition Mudman is as rough and ready as ever — think a mud-resistant shell and a built-in compass, altimeter/barometer and thermometer — but takes things up a notch with some stylistic references to Toyota’s off-road legend.
Sinn
Sinn U50 S L
For this special limited version of Sinn’s U50 dive watch, the German brand paired a black PVD Tegimented German submarine steel case with a fully-lumed dial. But since this is Sinn, the dial is more over-engineered than you think. Rather than using typical luminous paint, the lume was forged into a ceramic disc which was then fused onto the metal base dial, resulting in bonkers luminosity.
Unimatic
Unimatic Modello Cinque
After first releasing a version of the Modello Cinque as a limited edition collab with Massena Lab, Unimatic released the 36mm dive-capable field watch on its own in two colorways. But, in typical Unimatic fashion, both are still limited editions.
Tissot
Tissot PR516 Mechanical
A modern reissue of a Tissot chronograph from 1970, the PR516 is a rare, Swiss-made, hand-wound chronograph for under $2,000. It combines retro styling with impressive water resistance, a dual-function (and dual-color) tachymeter/pulsometer bezel and pleasantly restrained dimensions of 41mm across and 13.7mm thick.
Bremont
Bremont Bamford Aurora
Bamford and Bremont joined forces for this striking GMT based on the latter’s Supermarine GMT. Inspired by the Northern Lights, the watch has an ethereal glow thanks to generous helpings of bright-green emitting Super-LumiNova on the hands, sandwich dial and 24-hour sapphire bezel.
Sinn
Sinn 103 Classic 12 H
The previous record holder for “best-looking Sinn ever” was the 103 Classic 12, a reverse panda chrono released as a limited edition back in 2021. But a new challenger for the crown has emerged in this new rendition of the same watch, now outfitted in a ’70s-inspired brown, cream and orange colorway as part of a collab with German watch magazine Armbanduhren.
Tornek-Rayville
Tornek-Rayville Type 7B “Blakjak”
Tornek-Rayville’s reimagining of an obscure military-issue watch from the mid-’90s swaps the original’s quartz movement for an automatic, trades the tritium lume for Super-LumiNova and upgrades the mineral crystal to sapphire, but otherwise maintains its ancestor’s utilitarian design and bulletproof build.
Piaget
Piaget Polo 79
An ’80s icon reborn, the Polo 79 recreates Piaget’s most iconic watch with a cohesive design featuring a case, bracelet, dial, hands and indices all made of 18k yellow gold. Powering the svelte stunner is an ultrathin in-house automatic movement.
Grand Seiko
Grand Seiko Snowflake Quartz SBGX355
A smaller, more affordable version of Grand Seiko’s most famous watch, the Snowflake, reference SBGX355 keeps the original’s snowy textured dial, blued steel seconds hand and high-intensity case and bracelet but shrinks the size to 37mm and swaps the Spring Drive movement for a 9F high-accuracy quartz motor.
Zenith
Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Sport Titanium
Another twist on Zenith’s bestselling Chronomaster Sport platform, this version sees the sporting chronograph get a case and bracelet made from matte titanium for a low-key and lightweight style.
Panerai
Panerai Luminor Due PAM01424
For a change of pace from your average Luminor, this special version of the lightweight Due features a fetching sunburst burgundy with a gradient effect.
Yema
Yema Superman Slim CMM.20
Powered by Yema’s in-house CMM.20 micro-rotor automatic calibre, the Superman Slim is the only affordable dive watch on the market with this movement type — making it ideal for those looking to stand out from the crowd.
Urwerk
Urwerk UR-100V LightSpeed
In addition to displaying the time in unique rotating hour and minute “satellites” that rotate around the dial, this special version of Urwerk’s UR-100V features a display showing how long it takes light from the sun to reach each planet in our solar system.
Baume et Mercier
Baume et Mercier Riviera Baumatic Tideograph
Limited to 500 pieces, this unique iteration of Baume et Mercier’s popular integrated bracelet sports watch gets an uncommon complication capable of measuring high and low tides.
Grand Seiko
Grand Seiko SBGE305
A welcome addition to Grand Seiko’s lineup of Spring Drive-powered sports GMTs, the SBGE305 combines a fiery red dial with a polished black ceramic bezel.
Hodinkee
G-Shock Ref. 5600 by Ben Clymer for Hodinkee
The third in a G-Shock/Hodinkee collaboration that saw watches customized by rockers John Mayer and Ed Sheeran, this version was helmed by Hodinkee founder Ben Clymer and features shout-outs to both Hodinkee and Casio.
Breitling
Breitling Chronomat Victoria Beckham
Designed in collaboration with Victoria Beckham, this special-edition Chronomat is limited to 1,500 examples across both yellow gold and stainless steel variants; each with a spring/summer-inspired dial chosen by the Spice Girl.
TAG Heuer
TAG Heuer Carrera Dato
TAG Heuer’s back catalog is filled with quirky vintage favorites from Heuer’s mid-century heyday, and we’ve already seen the brand resurrect some recently — like the Skipper — to great acclaim through the retro-modern Glassbox platform introduced last year. Now comes the Dato, which combines a Destro date window with a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock for a unique layout. The teal dial brings it all together in gorgeous fashion.
Hublot
Hublot Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Purple Sapphire
There’s crazy, there’s Hublot crazy, and then there’s this. An openworked manufacture tourbillon movement and a case crafted from purple sapphire would be more than enough to make this watch a standout, but Hublot went the extra mile and made an entire bracelet out of purple sapphire. Granted, the brand released this exact watch in blue sapphire in 2023, but with purple watches being a hot trend at the moment, the 2024 version looks even better to my eye. Wearing the watch on the sapphire bracelet is a wild experience, it’s silky and smooth and feels like water on the wrist (in a good way). The whole package is very cohesive yet undeniably crazy.
Zenith
Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar
The El Primero Chronomaster Triple Calendar is back after a brief hiatus, now in the Original’s 38mm case and packing the 1/10th of a second chronograph El Primero movement. In other words, the watch is more impressive and attractive than its ever been. The triple calendar and moonphase are incorporated nicely into the three-register chronograph layout (even if some will lament the 4:30 date), and the fact that Zenith packed it all into an easy-wearing, classically-sized case is very impressive (and quite welcome). It may just be the most versatile chronograph on the market thanks to its compact size and dressy-sporty vibe.
Bulgari
Bulgari Bulgari
Bulgari’s 1970s fashion icon is back, with its release perfectly coinciding with a renewed desire in the market for retro gold watches from the ’70s and ’80s. Available in both this yellow gold/black dial version and rose gold style with a white dial, the new stunner maintains the original’s boldly-branded bezel but sees a decidedly upgraded movement in the form of Bulgari’s own BVL 191 automatic.
Daniel Roth
Daniel Roth Tourbillon Subscription
While not as recognizable of a name as Genta, the rebirth of watchmaker Daniel Roth’s brand is also exciting for watch collectors. Need proof? Over 1,000 well-connected and wealthy prospective buyers applied to buy one of the reborn brand’s first watch, but with only 20 being made, the vast majority were turned down. The Tourbillon Subscription watch is a reimagining of the first Daniel Roth watch from the ’80s, the Tourbillon Ref. 2187/C187, which is considered the first model from independent watchmaker’s brand. It features a brand-new tourbillon caliber developed in-house at La Fabrique du Temps and a solid gold guilloché dial like the one seen on the original.
TAG Heuer
TAG Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph 34
TAG Heuer’s solar-powered Aquaracer Solargraph diver has been a big hit for the brand since making its debut in 2022, and in 2024 the brand has expanded the line to be more inclusive with a 34mm version. A true unisex dive watch, the smaller size is more than a scaled-down version of the original. It has a different bezel featuring throwback rider tabs that recall some 40-year-old TAGs, along with unique dial designs like the mesmerizing textured “Polar Blue” seen here.
Hublot
Hublot MP-10
Hublot knows it’s a polarizing brand — in fact, it embraces that identity. But however you feel about its designs, no one can question Hublot’s ingenuity. That’s especially true with its MP (Manufacture Piece) line, where the brand gets even more experimental than usual (which is saying something). For the MP-10, Hublot reimagined how an automatic watch creates energy and came up with a rotor-free system consisting of a pair of white gold blocks vertically mounted on posts and cushioned by tiny spring shock absorbers. As the blocks move up and down on the posts as you move your wrist, the movement is wound — as indicated by the cylindrical power reserve. The design has no dial or hands, and the time is read on rotating barrels for the hour and minutes with a 35-degree tourbillon acting as a seconds counter.
Zenith
Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Sport Gem-Set
The Chronomaster Sport is flashier than ever with this gem-set version. With a case and bracelet made from solid rose gold, a meteorite dial, diamond indices and a gem-set bezel fitted with a mix of diamonds, sapphires and spinels in blue, dark gray and light gray to match the iconic El Primero chronograph registers (clever), there certainly is a lot going on here — especially for a brand that’s not really known for making fancy, gem-set watches. But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t all come together in a cohesive and seriously gorgeous package. It really shows how the Chronomaster Sport can be a platform for a variety of unique styles, and I can’t wait to see what Zenith cooks up next.
TAG Heuer
TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon
TAG Heuer Teal is quickly becoming a signature color for the brand, and I sure wouldn’t mind seeing it on more watches. But the most impressive application of the shade thus far has to be on the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon. Seamlessly slipping a tourbillon into the beautiful Glassbox chronograph layout (though a few mm larger than usual to accomodate the complication) and topping it all off with that alluring blue-green hue, this watch is a real head-turner.
Bulgari
Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tuscan Copper
The Octo Finissimo is Bulgari’s daring platform, where the brand expands with crazy-thin movements and interesting case materials. But sometimes, the simplest takes on the form can be the most alluring. Take for instance this stainless steel iteration with a salmon dial. On paper, it’s among the most standard offerings of the Octo, but in the metal, it’s perhaps the most striking in the entire lineup.
Hublot
Hublot Big Bang Unico Green Saxem
Hublot’s Saxem material is a cousin to sapphire — it’s just as scratch-resistant and aluminum oxide-based but a bit different chemically, with rare Earth elements utilized to create brilliant colors. Each color takes around two years to develop, but green was the original and maybe still the best. Green Saxem looks especially good when used as the case for the Big Bang Unico chronograph, thanks to Hublot putting in the extra effort to perfectly match the hands and indices to the case’s dynamic color.
Longines
Longines Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve
To mark 70 years of the Conquest collection, Longines dug deep into its archives to recreate a unique piece from 1959 that displayed its power reserve via two rotating discs in the center of the dial. The elegant version recreates the unusual complication with a brand-new Longines-exclusive movement with an impressive 72 hours of power. The modern-retro design is as unique as the complication, thanks in part to the art deco “skyscraper” hands.
Omega
Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Apollo 8
The Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Apollo 8 Edition is a complete revamp of the original version that was released in 2018 for the 50th anniversary of the titular NASA mission. The 2024 iteration features a far more detailed image of the moon on both the front and back sides of the skeletonized movement, and the movement itself has been upgraded from the Calibre 1869 to the Calibre 3869. Both are manual wind chronographs, but the latter is a Co-Axial Master Chronometer, bringing the DSOTM more in line with other modern Omegas. Also, as a fun touch, the running seconds hand at 9 o’clock is now crafted from titanium in the shape of a Saturn V rocket like the one used on the Apollo missions.
Breitling
Breitling Chronomat B01 42 Super Bowl LVIII
To celebrate Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, and to pay tribute to former NFL MVP and brand ambassador Boomer Esiason, Breitling made this special edition of the Chronomat, with a portion of sales going to the Boomer Esiason Foundation. The Super Bowl’s colorful Vegas logo is emblazoned on the sapphire caseback, but otherwise, this is the same Chronomat Chronograph we know and love, with a blue anthracite dial, a textured rubber strap and a solid red gold case.
Oris
Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Father Time Limited Edition
Oris loves its baseball collabs, like its Hank Aaron edition or the ever-popular Roberto Clemente version, but for this watch, the independent Swiss brand teamed up with baseball’s cousin from across the pond for a cricket-themed version. The Father Time Limited Edition is a collab with London’s Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and is themed after the club’s Father Time weathervane, a fixture at MCC’s home at Lord’s Cricket Ground for nearly a century. The fully bronze watch features an image of the weathervane on the caseback and includes both a matching bronze bracelet and Cervo Volante leather strap.
Shinola
Shinola Ceramic Monster Automatic
Shinola continues to increasingly churn out watches that appeal not just to its core fashion-oriented customers but to watch enthusiasts as well. Take this ceramic version of the Monster Automatic, a Sellita SW200-powered dive watch featuring a steel case plated in black ceramic. It’s a similarly innovative setup to what we saw with Zodiac’s Sea Wolf Ceramic — one of our picks for the best watches of 2023 — and allows the watch to come in at a price lower than a full ceramic version would.
Huckberry
Timex x Huckberry Titanium Automatic Field Watch
A good-looking, easy-wearing field watch with a lightweight titanium case, a bulletproof automatic movement from Miyota and a dive watch-esque 200m water resistance? All for under $400? This may be the best collab Timex and Huckberry have ever come up with.
Christopher Ward
Christopher Ward The Twelve (Ti) 36
Christopher Ward’s The Twelve in titanium was already arguably the best watch in the Genta-inspired integrated bracelet sports watch style under $2,000 (or even $3,000), but some fans of the brand wanted a smaller case than the standard 40mm offering. So in typical CW fashion, the brand released this 36mm version, a unisex stunner that maintains the original’s overall design and COSC-certified movement.
H. Moser & Cie.
H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Wyoming Jade
If the usual integrated bracelet sports watches leave you feeling blasé, then Moser’s Streamliner is for you. Its snake-like bracelet and sparse dial look like nothing else, and this version — executed in full 5N red gold with a piece of Wyoming jade stone for the dial with a hole carved out for the tourbillon — is even more unique than usual.
Bulova
Bulova Lunar Pilot Meteorite
Bulova’s Lunar Pilot is based on a 1971 prototype from the brand that actually went to the moon, making it a great budget alternative to the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch from both a stylistic and historical perspective. This 43.5mm premium version includes upgrades in the form of a lightweight titanium case and a dial made from a slab of meteorite.
Citizen
Citizen Promaster Air GMT
Citizen knows it has a winner on its hands with its in-house Miyota 9075/9054 “true” GMT movements, which is why the Japanese brand keeps coming out with more and more watches using the bargain-priced premium engine. The Promaster Air GMT combines Citizen’s trademark knack for creating big, functional pilot’s watches with the 9054 (the el to create a do-it-all flyer … slide-rule bezel included.
Timex
Timex Marlin Jet Automatic
The Marlin Jet isn’t a reissue of a vintage Timex like other Marlins. Instead, it draws broad inspiration from mid-century space-age design and incorporates some interesting design quirks as a result. Most notably is the large hesalite crystal that encapsulates the entire bezel, making for a visually interesting case — especially for the price.
Longines
Longines Master Collection GMT
Seeing a Longines priced at nearly $15,000 is maybe a little shocking, but given the quality of the brand’s recent output, we all need to start getting used to the idea of Longines as a major player in the mid-level luxury market. This dress watch features a solid 18-carat yellow gold case and is powered by a Longines-exclusive “true” GMT automatic movement.
Bremont
Bremont x Argylle Jet
Inspired by and featured in the 2024 spy film Argylle, the Jet is based on Bremont’s U-2 pilot’s watch — a beast of a piece featuring the brand’s tough Trip-Tick case and dual-crown setup. This version also boasts black DLC coating and an argyle pattern on the dial to go along with the similarly-titled film.

In the grand scheme of pocket knife designs, its easy to get caught up in the obvious details, like the blade shape, knife steel, handle materials and even locking mechanisms. But sometimes, what you might think of as minutiae can make a huge difference in your EDC blade’s functionality.
Perhaps nowhere is this more true than with Emerson’s patented, twice-trademarkedWave deployment mechanism. This relatively tiny, seemingly innocuous addition allows you to extract and open your folding knife in one fell swoop.
It also holds the crown as the fastest deployment mechanism in the world. Yes, it’s even faster than automatic knives. Best of all, it was invented by accident.
Released in 2015, the Emerson Sheepdog was the brand’s first-ever folder and the first knife to feature the Wave deployment.Emerson
Origin of the species
To find the origin of the Emerson Wave, we have to go back to the release of the brand’s first-ever flipper knife, released in 2015.
Designed in collaboration with author and Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman, the Sheepdog remains one of Emerson’s most enduring, recognized and respected offerings. The first knife ever to feature the Emerson Wave deployment employs that mechanism to this day.

If you’re unfamiliar with the category, materials usually separate performance dress shirts from their ordinary counterparts. They essentially replace the cotton in traditional button-down shirts with a mix of advanced synthetic fibers with roots in athletic wear. The benefits gained from this swap depend on the exact synthetics used, but typically include better stretch and movement, wrinkle resistance, sweat-wicking, and even odor-fighting.
Why Rhone’s Commuter Shirt Stands Out
Rhone
So why do we like Rhone’s shirt in particular? Our tester called out a few specific features.
Thanks to the nylon-elastane blend, he considered it the most breathable of the shirts he tested. He also appreciated that the shirt wasn’t see-through and despite feeling thin and light. Lastly, including two cuff button positions gives owners versatility in how they want to wear it (i.e., with or without a jacket).
Evan MalachoskyEvan MalachoskyOur tester wearing the Rhone Commuter Shirt with and without a suit jacket.
We also like that it’s available in 16 colors, in two different fits, and in two different collar styles. Our only real gripe is that we wish it were sold in specific neck sizes for a perfect fit rather than just small, medium, large, etc.

Here’s a fun bit of trivia we bet you didn’t know: in 1957, Bulova was NASCAR’s official timing partner. That was just the start of this storied brand’s involvement in motorsports which continues to this day and is embodied by its newly released Racer Chronograph.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday bring about plenty of deals, of course. But few are ever as steep as this, let alone on products as iconic as the Killshot 2.
Nike is selling the throwback silhouette at a 30 percent discount, with some colors already on sale from the base price of $90.
In practical terms, that means the sneaker starts at just $44 — more than half off for one of the Swoosh’s most iconic everyday sneakers from the last 15 years.

Nike Killshot 2
A modern icon
The basic design of the shoe dates back to the 1970s, when Nike introduced the original Killshot as a court shoe for racquetball and squash players. That version had a mesh upper with suede detailing around toe box and heel.
Like the original Killshot from the 1970s, the Killshot 2 features suede detailing.Nike
Fast forward to 2009, the Swoosh teamed up with J.Crew to sell a leather version of the shoe called the Killshot 2.
It sold out instantly (that is, in seconds), as did all subsequent drops — available exclusively through the preppy American retailer until Nike decided it was too good not to stock itself.
The Killshot became an instant hit when J.Crew started selling it in 2009.Nike
As such, the Killshot 2 become a modern icon of the heritage menswear boom, with a lasting legacy that’s as relevant as ever.
The shoe has made cameos in several shows and movies, including Challengers.Nike
Pricing and availability
The good news is that the days of fending off bots for the Killshot 2 are long behind us, and devotees (of which there are many) will be able to score a pair long after the holiday shopping frenzy passes.
But if you want the classic sneaker at half off — or pretty close to it — well, then, here is your shot.
