A Reputable Heritage Brand Becomes an Unexpected New EDC Bag Contender

Reigning Champ, founded in Vancouver, Canada, first hit the scene back in 2007. It quickly established a loyal fan base through its blend of a minimalist aesthetic and premium quality.

While the brand has sold EDC bags on its site before, including those made by legendary Japanese brand Porter, Reigning Champ had never offered its own take on the category … until now.

For the first time, the brand has taken this logical next step and launched its own Reigning Champ Road Program EDC bags.

The initial release includes three staple EDC bags.
Reigning Champ

EDC heavyweights

The initial launch includes a trio of classic EDC bags. While they feature differing layouts, sizes, and capacities, they share a few commonalities that help tie them together.

First and foremost: styling. As is typical with Reigning Champ gear, these bags boast a highly minimalist aesthetic. Both their interiors and exteriors are pretty stylistically barebones and stripped down. The only branding is found on a single square logo patch on their lower right corners.

Blue aluminum can of Dale's American IPA beer with gold and white text and a gold top.Oskar Blues

Oskar Blues Dale’s American IPA

There are more IPAs on the beer market than you can shake a stick at. Yet, it remains among the most popular styles available. Oskar Blues might be a little late to the party, but there’s reason to be excited. Like the brand’s fan-favorite Dale’s Pale Ale, the Dale’s American IPA takes a no-nonsense, straightforward approach, opting for the classic citrusy, herbal, and fresh pine notes that made the style so popular in the first place. Perhaps the brand said it best: “Like a black t-shirt, it’s always in style.”

Silver electric vehicle skateboard chassis with visible battery pack and orange high-voltage cables on a black platform.Ferrari

Ferrari Elettrica

Today, Ferrari just unveiled the core structure and electric drive propulsion system for its first-ever dedicated all-electric vehicle. Called the Elettrica, it will be the first EV of its kind from Italy’s Prancing Horse and utilizes motorsports-derived battery technology. With four electric motors driving each wheel, a 880-volt battery pack, the Elettrica will boast more than 986 horsepower, a 0-60 mph time in around 2.3 seconds, up to 329 miles of driving range, and a top speed of more than 192 mph.

Anker Soundcore Nebula P1

The Nebula P1 is a small, budget-friendly alternative to the $5,000 Nebula X1 Pro announced at IFA, weighing just 5.3 pounds (down from a whopping 72). It only has a resolution of 1080P and brightness of 650 ANSI lumens. However, it boasts a pair of built-in Bluetooth speakers that detach for optimal sound in a backyard setting.

Round gold Louis Vuitton watch with white dial, black numerals, red and blue markings, and black leather strap.Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton Monterey

Louis Vuitton has revived its first-ever watch with the reissue of the Monterey. As a tribute to the 1988 LV I and LV II designs penned by Italian architect Gae Aulenti, it stays faithful to its namesakes with touches like a pebble-shaped case, a signature 12 o’clock crown and a vintage-inspired enamel dial. However, in place of the original’s quartz movement, LV has instead opted for an in-house LFTMA01.02 automatic that boasts a 45-hour power reserve. It’s limited to just 188 pieces worldwide.

Blue and black jacket with a vertical zippered back pocket holding cans, featuring colorful embroidered letters down the back.686

686 x PBR Insulated Cooler Jacket

Introduced in 2017, 686’s Cooler Jacket quickly became a cult favorite thanks to its built-in six-pack cooler and bottle opener, which earned it the nickname “The Sixer.” Headlining a new nine-piece collaboration with PBR, the innovative garment has returned boasting a number of technical upgrades that improve its everyday utility (even when you’re not doing party laps) plus fun internal and external imagery by whimsical French artist Lucas Beaufort. The brand’s infiDRY 10K waterproof fabric, PFAS-free DWR and infiLOFT insulation keep you cozy while pit zips help you dump heat and generous pocketing enable you to tote up 12 cold ones, which, in the best interest of all involved, should be widely shared.

Black and brown athletic sneaker with white logo and unique sole design on a concrete ledge against blue sky.On

On x Loewe Cloudsolo

The brand new, limited-edition Cloudsolo is the first-ever shoe co-designed between Loewe and On, and brings together key details from both brands. The most notable visual departure from tradition is the single CloudTec Cloud element in the heel. Internally, the midsole utilizes On’s proprietary Helion superfoam and its Speedboard plate, while the upper combines semi-translucent technical mesh with Loewe’s branded pebble toggle. Adjustable speed laces and Loewe x On branding round out the visual and technical features of the shoe. The Cloudsolo is available in three eye-grabbing color ways: “Turquoise,” “Orange” and “Lime Green”, along with a few neutral tones. The new Loewe × On collaboration launches online with pre-registration on October 15, and from October 16 will be available in stores and online.

Light gray pullover hoodie with front kangaroo pocket and small rectangular logo patch.Huckberry

Randy’s Garments Heavyweight Cross-Neck Hoodie

Although the brand has only been around since 2019, Randy’s Garments is known for producing classic American workwear of the highest quality. But the most useful item in its catalog is the Heavyweight Cross-Neck Hoodie. It is produced in New York City’s garment district, right in the heart of Manhattan, from 100% cotton 14-ounce fleece. Drawstrings are ditched in favor of a cross-neck design that keeps the hood secure when it’s up without anything dangling while you’re working. It is available in heather gray, navy blue, hunter green and chocolate brown.

The Next Innovation in Running Isn’t a Shoe. It’s Inside One.

Woman with braided hair sitting on white bleachers holding a lime green Superfeet insole.Superfeet

Superfeet’s newest insole with carbon-fiber propulsion and next-level cushioning is disrupting the footwear industry by turning your everyday trainers into performance-grade gear.

Runners are always searching for an edge — something that makes each stride feel lighter, faster and more efficient. Shoes have long been the focus of that quest, but Superfeet’s newest release proves that game-changing performance can come from something as simple as an insole. Superfeet’s all-new Run Pacer Elite insole can unlock 39% more responsiveness, which can transform your favorite shoe into a powerhouse.

Here’s what makes it different.

A Plate That Adapts

Instead of locking runners into a rigid ride, Run Pacer Elite’s Carbitex® carbon-fiber plate flexes and responds to changes in pace. That means you get a smooth, natural feel during easy miles and a noticeable burst of forward drive when you pick up the speed — a rare balance that supports both daily training and harder efforts.

Foam with Staying Power

Underfoot, a newly engineered SuperRev™ foam — made by infusing advanced foams with high-pressure CO2 and nitrogen — adds the bounce and resilience typically reserved for high-end racing shoes. The foam is lightweight, springy and built to hold up over long distances, so the lively feel doesn’t disappear after a few runs. Third-party lab testing by Heeluxe and the Human Performance Lab at the University of Calgary has confirmed its ability to deliver consistent support and rebound even after heavy mileage.

Fast, and for Everyone

Most performance tech is marketed toward elites — this isn’t. Run Pacer Elite was designed to fit inside anyone’s everyday trainers, giving recreational and competitive runners alike a taste of supercharged speed without needing a whole new pair of shoes. It’s an accessible way to feel more efficient and more powerful, mile after mile.

For runners who want to squeeze more performance out of the shoes they already own, Run Pacer Elite is proof that sometimes a big upgrade comes in a slim package.

Uniqlo Does a Solid Barbour Impression for a Third of the Price

Hitting your marks

Visually speaking, Uniqlo and JW Anderson hit pretty close to the mark here. The Pufftech Utility Jacket has most of the details that make Barbour’s jackets immediately recognizable, without overstepping any legal boundaries.

Tan jacket with brown corduroy collar and large front pockets laid flat on a white background.
The Pufftech Utility Jacket has key details like vented hand pockets, flap bellows pockets, a corduroy-lined collar and a snap storm flap.
Uniqlo

There’s a corduroy-lined collar, which is brown on the khaki model and matches the body of the jacket on the navy and olive green models. The cuffs are corduroy-lined as well, but unlike most Barbour jackets, they are vented with snaps.

The pockets are very close, with two vented hand pockets that are vertical instead of tilted, and two bellows pockets with snap flaps. The big difference is that the flaps have a single concealed snap instead of two exposed snaps.

Tesla Model Y Standard

Tesla has expanded its Model Y (and Model 3) lineup to include a new entry-level ‘Standard’ variation. As a more affordable alternative to the current Premium and Performance trims, it features a simplified interior, a few stylistic tweaks and some minor performance concessions (output is down to 300 horsepower, 0-60 times are a touch slower and range comes in about 10 percent less). However, in doing so, the EV manages to shave $5,000 off the price of its ‘Premium’ level stablemate.

Arc’teryx Fission SV Glove

Arc’teryx’s warmest glove received some key updates for 2025, including increased dexterity and added coverage. The Fission SV is crafted to provide maximum articulation and elevated dexterity, so you can keep your gloves on and still accomplish your winter tasks. The softshell exterior features a double weave for better wind protection, water repellence and abrasion resistance, and super-warm recycled Coreloft insulation keeps Arc’teryx’s warmest technical glove toasty. New colorways round out the updates.

Peak Design Roller Pro Carry-On

First released as part of a successful Kickstarter campaign, the newly released Roller Pro Carry-On from cult camera and EDC brand Peak Design is a total rethink of the carry-on category. For example, it features a hybrid shell design, drawbridge-style access to minimize its footprint when open and actually useful pockets for essentials and laptops.

WESN

WESN x Ekster The Microblade

It’s not easy to make a knife this, well, red. But through trial and error, WESN hit upon a careful process of painting and heat treating, layer by layer, resulting in one bold, bright knife for life. Otherwise it is the same great 1-ounce Microblade: 1.5 inches of D2 steel deployed from the Grade 5 titanium handle via the rear flipper or thumb stud and held in place with a sturdy liner lock. Note: As part of the collaboration with EDC brand Ekster, this limited-edition release has a second separate $120 element: a lightweight aluminum wallet, the Card Holder Pro, that fits up to 12 cards. Oh and act fast, if past history is any indication, this stuff won’t stick around long.

Kollokium Projekt 2

Kollokium, the “project-based platform” (don’t call it a brand!) that burst onto the watch scene in 2023 with its radical pin-dialed Projekt 1, is back with its second model, predictably named Projekt 2. The new watch follows in the footsteps of its predecessor with a massive, fully exposed box sapphire crystal and die-cast steel case surrounding a unique three-dimensional dial absolutely plastered with lume. But this time, instead of the dial being composed of pins of varying heights, it’s a topographical landscape made up of 67 hand-painted and stacked dial plates. Naturally, each plate is lumed. The first round of the watch is limited to 199 pieces, priced at CHF 3,333.33 (~$4,163) and is reserved for existing Kollokium owners. A wider release will then take place in Q1 of next year and will be priced at CHF 3,666.66.

Olive green insulated ankle boots with black soles worn with rolled-up dark jeans and brown socks.Kizik

Kizik Juno 2 Low

With their medium height, high-abrasion lugged outsole, 200g thermal insulation and EVA foam insole, these puffer boots are the perfect option for cold-weather clomping. But they have a secret weapon: they’re hands-free slip-ons. That means they have no laces, and you can put them on without needing to bend down. But they’re not loose, either. The step in heel operates on the same principle as Nike’s Metcon workout shoes, meaning once you slip in, they secure around your heel for a snug fit. That makes them even more convenient and formidable.

Seiko Just Updated Its Legendary Field Watch for the First Time in Over Half a Decade

When I was first bitten by the watch bug nearly a decade ago, one of the first watches I bought to support my budding addiction was the Seiko SARB017.

Better known as the Alpinist, the green-dialed SARB017 became a fan-favorite thanks to its unique and attractive design along with specs like a sapphire crystal and 200m water resistance that, for the time, were considered rare for the price.

The SARB017 remains the most beloved version of Seiko’s long-running series of mountaineering watches, which dates back to the original Laurel Alpinist from 1959.

So the enthusiast community was understandably distraught when Seiko discontinued the SARB017 in 2018. A year later, the brand debuted the SARB017’s replacement with a new line of “Alpinist-inspired” models in its higher-end Prospex series, with the nearly identical-looking SPB121 effectively acting as the replacement for the iconic SARB017.

In the six years since, Seiko has offered up several limited-edition Alpinists, but the core line has remained the same. That is, until now, as the Japanese watchmaker has just updated the entire Alpinist line — and I think fans are going to like the changes.

Converse’s Next Vintage Chucks Are Classic Americana in All the Right Ways

Did you know that Coca-Cola, the soda brand, had a hand in shaping our modern understanding of Santa Claus? Prior to 1931, there were numerous disparate depictions of the mythical character.

However, after Coca-Cola commissioned illustrator Haddon Sundblom to paint a series of images of the character for Christmas advertisements — positioning Claus as a jolly, rosy-cheeked, happy gentleman — it set a new standard we still collectively use to this day.

So, what does Santa Claus have to do with Converse shoes, you might be wondering? More than you might think, based on the classic sneaker brand’s latest collaboration.

That same red-and-white motif shared by the soda brand and Santa Claus can be found on the new Coca-Cola x Converse Chuck 70.

The first pair in this collection sports Coca-Cola’s iconic red and white colorway.

Grab a Coke— er, Chuck

This actually isn’t the first time Coca-Cola and Converse have teamed up. Previously, the two brands joined with Kith for a three-pronged collaboration.

That said, this latest collaboration is a whole lot more stylistically subtle — there’s no aggressive, excessive Coca-Cola branding, as on the previous sneakers. However, they are loaded with pretty excellent easter eggs.

Crocs’ Fan-Favorite Aprés Hike Camp Clogs Just Got a Subtle Military Style Upgrade

The two new pairs in the Echo Camo RO lineup take a similar approach to the two-tone options, but with one major difference. In these ones, the upper is monotone, including the lining, but the outsole has been given a four-color camouflage redux.

That camo also extends to the label on the back of the strap. Furthermore, this version comes in two versions: one with a black upper and classic multicam outsole and the other with a gray upper and gray multicam outsole.

Rear view of a black Crocs clog with green, brown, and tan camouflage accents on the heel and strap.
While the tread creeps up the upper, the only other part of the shoe that has camouflage is the back strap.
Crocs

New look, same great camp slipper

This isn’t technically the first time the Echo RO has been given a camouflage swap. There is a version with Realtree camo, but it’s inverted — the upper is camo and the outsole is solid — and more expensive (due to the collaborative nature).

However, the camo on this new version is a lot more subtle and classic, which will likely make it a more approachable option for most folks. Beyond that, they retain everything that made the original Echo RO so good.

After 50 Years, This Sports Watch Icon Achieves Its Most Perfect Form

Fifty years old!

The Laureato is fifty. Fifty years old. And while that doesn’t make it the oldest watch model on the market by any stretch, it’s still quite an achievement, and one that’s every bit befitting the very special Laureato that GP has created to mark the occasion.

The new Laureato Fifty is modeled after the very first Laureato from 1975, but it is effectively a brand-new watch, with a new bracelet, a new case and even a brand-new movement.

The Laureato Fifty takes its aesthetic inspiration from the ’75 model, mimicking that watch’s two-tone style — executed here with a combination of stainless steel and 3N yellow gold — and borrowing its signature Clous de Paris-patterned dial in sunray gray. More modern touches include a color-matched date window at 3:00 and a counterweight in the shape of GP’s double arrow logo on the 3N gold seconds hand.

Close-up of a Girard-Perregaux watch face with a textured gray dial, gold hour markers, hands, and a date window showing 28.
The new watch borrows the original Laureato’s two-tone color scheme and gray Clous de Paris dial.
Girard-Perregaux

Next we have the case, which debuts here in a new sweet-spot size: 39mm. Previously, the modern Laureato existed in 42mm, 38mm and 34mm sizes, with the latter two often (and exclusively on the 34mm variant) being bejeweled with gemstones. The new 39mm case is also thinner than the existing Laureatos at just 9.8mm tall. Despite this, the watch has boosted its water resistance by 50 percent, from 100m to 150m.

In addition to its new size, the case has also been completely reworked. Its angles are sharper, its finishing more impressive and its integration with the bracelet has been improved. Speaking of the bracelet, it may have received my favorite updates on the entire watch.

This Innovative New Knife Lock Is Poised to Be the Next Big Thing in EDC Folders

Life rarely follows a straight path. Take Nick Palizzi, for instance. He grew up in rural Michigan, graduated with honors from the University of Detroit’s School of Architecture and started his own firm by age 30.

Then, he and his soulmate, Lindsay, opened a restaurant, which led him down the path of graphic design. Later, he returned to architecture, designing and building competition pools and aquatic facilities.

Now, he’s embarked on a new path: knifemaking (and design). And boy, has he started off with a banger in the N.U.M.B. Knifeworks N1 Cornerstone, a gorgeous folder with a novel, innovative, proprietary locking mechanism.

Three folding knives with textured black handles and different blade finishes displayed on a piece of dark wood.
Groundbreaking lock aside, there’s no denying the presence and gravitas of the N1’s outstanding design.

Architectural EDC

Through N.U.M.B. (short for Nick’s Unhinged Mechanical Brain), Nick has already proven that his magnificent design prowess extends to the world of EDC knives. While the N1 may be his first production design, his aptitude is highly apparent.

It features a 3.05-inch modified Sheepsfoot blade made from beloved S90V steel. It also boasts both a large thumb hole and front flipper deployment.

Hold Up, Did Cartier Just Make a Badass Sports Watch?

The Cartier Santos has achieved a lot of “firsts” during its 121-year lifespan.

Making its debut in 1904 as the Santos Dumont, the watch was originally created for pilots, making it the consensus first pilot’s watch. And, since it’s still around today, it can also be considered the first iconic watch ever, as it predates other ancient icons that have also stood the test of time, such as the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, Rolex Datejust and the Santos’s sibling, the Cartier Tank.

In 1978, the Santos took on the more familiar form we know today when it gained an integrated steel bracelet in place of its original leather strap, transforming into a more modern sports watch.

Now, in 2025, the Santos has once again undergone a revolution in order to keep up with the times, as Cartier has launched its OG icon in full bead-blasted titanium for the first time.

Square silver Cartier wristwatch with blue hands, black Roman numerals, and metal bracelet against a cloudy sky background.
A bead-blasted, full-titanium Santos? Didn’t see that coming.
Cartier

Toughen up

It’s hard to think of a Santos de Cartier in the watch’s century-plus history that’s looked nearly as sporty as this new titanium version. In fact, I’d go so far as to call this thing badass, which is not an adjective I ever expected to use to describe a Cartier watch.

The watch uses Grade 5 Extra Low Interstitial titanium, which Cartier says is 43 percent lighter and 1.5 times stronger than steel. The anthracite-colored alloy is used for both the “Large” 39.8mm × 9.3mm case and integrated bracelet of the Santos, both of which have been given a bead-blasted finish that’s highly uncommon for Cartier, a brand known just as much for its jewelry as its watches and one that tends to favor mirror-polished finishes.

These Levi’s Fall Essentials Are Ridiculously Affordable for Prime Day

When it comes to clothing, Prime Day is conveniently timed for the beginning of the season when most guys are looking to refresh and replenish their closets.

Few brands are more reliable for stocking up on foundational pieces that can carry any wardrobe than Levi’s, and right now, Amazon is the best place to shop for the King of American Denim.

From the absolutely essential 501 Jeans to a funky Western-varsity mashup bomber jacket, the online mega retailer carries an interesting assortment of Levi’s staples and obscure finds.

There is a lot to sort through, and it’s not all great, but I pulled together some of the best deals running during this Amazon Prime Day to get your wardrobe autumn-ready.

Jeans

Levi’s 501 Jeans

It’s not the original Levi’s design, but it is by far the most influential. The designation dates back to 1890 and has gone through various iterations, but the current cut matches the overall consensus on how jeans ought to fit: a bit loose in the hip with a slight taper from the knee to the ankle. Two defining characteristics of the modern 501 are that it has to be 100% cotton and has to have a rivet fly.

Levi’s 514 Straight Stretch

The 514 is a modernized version of the 501. It has a slim-ish fit, with a slightly loose hip and a bit of a taper from the knee down. The two models even have the same leg opening width. However, the 514 has a dash of Elastane in the fabric for some stretch, a slightly lower rise (i.e., sits lower on the hip) and a zipper fly.

Specs

Fabric 99% Cotton, 1% Elastane

Levi’s 511 Slim Fit Jeans

You can think of the 511 as the “Millennial Fit,” with a snug hip that has a slight taper all the way down to a hem that rests on top of your shoes. A quick styling tip: you typically will want to go with a shorter inseam on a slim fit jean vs. a loose fit because of how the leg’s opening rests over shoes. A slim fit will bunch up more if it is the same length as a looser fit.

Jackets

Levi’s Sherpa Lined Type III Denim Jacket

This is the winterized version of the iconic Type III denim jacket. It has a polyester sherpa fleece lining, which mimics shearling wool on a sheepskin leather jacket, but for a much more affordable price.

Levi’s Cotton Canvas Depot Jacket

Levi’s take on an old-school work jacket is made with a 100-percent cotton canvas shell and has a fine-wale corduroy-lined collar. It has a single chest pocket with a snap flap and two vented hand pockets. The back panel has a slight taper, giving it a slightly slim fit.

Levi’s Faux Suede Varsity Bomber Jacket

This mash-up of a varsity bomber jacket and a Western jacket is made from 100-percent rayon faux suede with a synthetic satin lining. It has an elastic waist and cuffs, and shoulder yokes on the front and back. There are two external vent pockets and one internal chest pocket.

Specs

Levi’s Corduroy Shirt Jacket

This fall favorite leans more toward jacket than shirt with a snap storm flap over a zipper closure. The pure cotton, fine-wale corduroy shell is soft and durable. The light tan color maximizes the versatility of the design because it complements just about everything.

Specs

Shirts

Levi’s Barstow Western Shirt

Levi’s Barstow Western Shirt is almost as iconic as its Type III Trucker Jacket, and just as versatile. It looks good on everyone and is an easy way to add some flavor to your wardrobe. There are many washes and fabrics to choose from, but dark denim is the best option because it will develop your own personal patina over time.

Specs

Fabric 100% Cotton
Light blue short-sleeve pocket t-shirt worn with light wash jeans.Levi’s

Levi’s Classic Pocket Tee

There are countless pocket tees out there, but you could do way worse than Levi’s offering. It is 100-percent cotton, has a slightly boxy fit and a non-ribbed collar. The red tab on the pocket is a nice touch for fans of the brand.

Can Ooni’s Latest Electric Oven Hold a Candle to Its Gas Siblings?

Ooni

Cook flawless pies in minutes with Ooni’s patent-pending Pizza Intelligence™ system.

A true pizza night requires more than just fresh dough and quality toppings. To do it right, you need high heat, precise cooking and consistent results — all things that most home ovens struggle to deliver.

That’s where Ooni’s Volt 2 Electric Pizza Oven comes in. Built with patent-pending Pizza Intelligence™, the Volt 2 adjusts heat in real time for speed, accuracy and consistency, putting professional-grade pizza squarely into any home chef’s repertoire. The best part? This electric-powered oven is smaller than its predecessor and made to sit right inside on the kitchen counter — no outdoor space needed.

Whether you’re after a leopard-spotted Neapolitan crust, a foldable New York-style slice or a thick, fluffy Detroit pie, the Volt 2 has built-in presets designed to make it happen at the push of a button.

Here’s why it belongs on every pizza lover’s counter.

Next-Level Precision

Ooni’s Pizza Intelligence™ system is at the heart of the Volt 2, automatically adjusting power to its heating elements using internal sensors for perfectly even heat distribution. The result? No more hot spots or undercooked centers — just flawless crusts, bubbling cheese and consistent pies every time. Choose from three built-in presets — Neapolitan, Thin & Crispy, or Pan Pizza — or save your own custom settings for your own personal pie.

Ooni

High Heat, Fast Results, All Electric

Great pizza requires great heat, and the Volt 2 delivers, safely reaching up to 850°F in just 20 minutes — the same temperature used by professional pizzerias and nearly as hot as Ooni’s gas-powered models. That means you can turn out restaurant-quality pies in just 90 seconds flat, so you can spend less time waiting and more time enjoying.

Versatile and Kitchen-Ready

Beyond pizza, the Volt 2 offers broil and conventional oven modes, expanding your weeknight cooking options. A compact footprint, extra large viewing window, heat-up indicator light and two stylish finishes — Charcoal Grey or Polar White — make it as functional as it is modern. Plus, its innovative filtration system keeps smoke and steam at bay, so your kitchen stays clean.

For anyone craving professional-quality pizza without leaving home, the Ooni Volt 2 proves you don’t need a gas or wood-fired oven or elaborate backyard setup to make pies worth sharing.

G-Shock’s Best Affordable Watch Pays Homage to Its Japanese Heritage

If you’ve been paying attention to pop culture news (or you’re an avid gamer), you might have seen that this past week marked the launch of Ghost of Yōtei, the long-awaited follow-up to Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima samurai action game.

Fun fact: the game takes place during Japan’s Edo period. That happens to be the same era from which one of the country’s most famous artists ever, Katsushika Hokusai, hails.

Interestingly, in what may or may not be coincidental timing, G-Shock has just launched a pair of Hokusai-inspired 5600 Series watches, the DW5600KHK25-1 and DW5600KHG25-1.

Two black Casio G-Shock digital watches with artistic dials, one featuring a wave design and the other a mountain scene.
The watch dials are adorned with two of Hokusai’s most famous works of art.
G-Shock

Shock wave

Hokusai’s art style of choice is called “ukiyo-e,” which roughly translates to “pictures of the floating world.” Particularly popular from the 17th to 19th centuries, they’re intricately designed woodblock prints, typically depicting landscapes (although many also included themes of kabuki and beautiful women).

Arguably, the most recognizable and famous of all these works is one of Hokusai’s own: The Great Wave off Kanagawa. While not quite as ubiquitous as, say, the Mona Lisa, it’s not terribly far off.

The Latest MoonSwatch May Be Its Most Outlandish Yet

While providing no functional value (much like many watch complications, if we’re being honest), the Earth phase depicts the view of our planet’s surface as seen from the Moon. It is essentially a moon phase from the reverse perspective.

Snoopy and his level-headed sidekick, Woodstock, gaze up at the novel complication while sitting on the lunar surface in space suits. This image is pulled from a 1969 comic strip in which Snoopy imagines himself beating NASA, the Russians and the cat next door to the moon.

The image features a hidden message written in lume that only appears in the dark. It is a thought bubble exclaiming, “I beat everybody,” floating in the blank space between the friends and the Earth phase window. The same message appears on the caseback underneath the battery panel.

The hidden message “I beat everybody” only appears when the lume is triggered in low light.
Swatch

Snoopy’s brag glows in the same blue lume as the Earth in the window, while the central hands and hour markers glow green.

Admittedly, the difference between each entry in the Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold series is even less significant than the Mission to Moonshine Gold references.

However, this ongoing series, with potentially nine more releases to come, is making it easier for fans to access one of Swatch’s coolest complications, which no other watchmaker has duplicated.

Citizen’s Affordable Datejust Homage Now Looks Like One of the Most Notorious Rolex Watches Ever

IFL Watches’ latest effort is the Citizen Tsuyosa 40mm Puzzle, which makes no mention of Rolex in its product description but does reference its “legendary puzzle dial,” making it obvious where the company got its inspiration.

Like two of the three Rolex Puzzle Dial references, the Citizen features a turquoise dial as the backdrop for its multicolored barrage of puzzle pieces. The hand-painted puzzle pieces are arranged differently here than on the Rolex, however.

Silver Citizen wristwatch with a colorful jigsaw puzzle pattern on the dial and a date magnifier.
The cyclops date window here will actually tell you on the date — no emojis were involved.
IFL Watches

They’re less uniform, with pieces covering the bottom half of the dial and otherwise sporadically falling across the edges of the rest of the dial like a game of Tetris run amok. IFLW stresses that because the dials are hand-painted, no two are alike.

IFLW did not go through the trouble of painting over the Tsuyosa’s date disc with emojis, so you’re getting a standard cyclops date here. What’s more, the Citizen Cal. 8210 automatic movement powering the watch has no day complication, so you’ll need to get your daily words of affirmation from somewhere else. Lastly, the watch has a smooth bezel instead of the Day-Date’s trademark fluted bezel.

Outside of the custom dial — which is clearly the main draw here — this is a standard Tsuyosa 40. It still features the popular watch’s familiar 40mm case and integrated bracelet in stainless steel, a sapphire crystal, a display caseback and 50m of water resistance.

Two Citizen watches with silver metal bands and colorful puzzle piece designs on the blue and pink dials.
In addition to the 40mm turquoise Rolex doppelgänger, IFLW has also made a 36mm version of the watch with a pink dial.

Some of Benchmade’s Best Underrated EDC Knives Get a Rare Discount

Few EDC knife brands are as hyped as Benchmade. But that’s largely because the brand’s products have consistently backed up the hype with beloved designs, high-end materials and significant innovations.

Unfortunately, that hype (and subsequent payoff) comes with a major downside: the brand’s offerings almost never go on sale. That makes this REI Benchmade sale all the more enticing.

However, if the sale itself isn’t already loosening your pockets, the fact that it includes some of the Pacific Northwest-based outfit’s most underrated and rare knives just might.

Rare knives, rarer prices

A couple of the knives at REI’s sale were released just at the beginning of this year. In fact, one of them wasn’t even initially planned for a wide release.

The first is the 565PL-2501 Mini Freek Knife. Initially, this knife was going to be a SHOT Show exclusive — meaning it wasn’t meant to be available to the general public. Thankfully, that didn’t stick.

Are we living in the golden age of motorcycles?

Old schoolers might argue that time is long past, but we are certainly at an interesting moment.

Just as super modern street fighters and electric off-roaders and even a cruiser with an electronically adjustable seat height surface, some of the best-looking retro-styled roadsters yet are popping up too.

Catch up on everything you might have missed with some of the coolest rides we’ve seen lately below.

Silver and blue Honda CB650R motorcycle with black seat, black wheels, and chrome exhaust system, shown in a side profile view.Honda

2026 Honda CB500SF

Stepping up from its predecessor on the power front, the new CB500SF boasts a 502cc inline four-cylinder engine claiming about 80 horsepower. (The CB400SF, for the record, topped out in the mid-50s.) Other notable features include a diamond-shaped steel frame, upside-down forks. and an aluminum swingarm attached to a monoshock with Honda’s tried-and-true ProLink. Classic looks notwithstanding, the CB500SF does include five ride modes and an innovation Honda has been rolling out on more and more bikes: E-Clutch.

2026 Honda CBR500R Four

Like its naked CB500SF bro, this sport bike emerges from a diamond-shaped steel frame in which the engine — an all-new 502cc four-banger making a claimed 80 horsepower — is a stressed member. Unlike the retro standard, however, the CBR500R Four’s outer shell draws upon the renowned aesthetic of the iconic CBR family. Looking to the future, it also features the second-generation of Honda’s innovative E-Clutch system, in which small electronic motors automatically control the clutch.

Ducati

2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R

Ducati’s Panigale V4 R takes track-ready performance to the street, bringing a MotoGP-derived Desmosedici Stradale engine, Ducati’s Neutral Lock system and plenty of other trick tech that’s typically reserved for only the most elite riders. From the aerodynamics to the electronics, everything about the bike has been engineered in the pursuit of maximal performance.

QJMotor

QJMotor SRT 900 SX

Befitting its moniker, The SRT 900 SX features a 904cc parallel twin-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox and making a claimed 93.8bhp at 9,000 rpm and 66.3 Ib ft of torque at 6,500 rpm. Brand-name components include Brembo brakes, Marzocchi shocks and Maxxis Adventure tires. This bike also boasts ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, cruise control and selectable ride modes, plus LED lighting, USB charging, a 1080P forward-facing dash cam and Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation via your smartphone.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650

Even with its rider-friendly specs and approachable price point, the 650 delivers a respectable level of grunt. The 649cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine makes 67 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 48.5 lb-ft of torque at 6,700 rpm, plenty of oomph for making moves in city gridlock and carving up two-lane twisties, where this bike might feel most at home. It also boasts a 4.3-inch full-color TFT display, twin LED lights, multiple ride modes and KTRC (Kawasaki TRaction Control).

2026 Suzuki GSX-S1000

This bike doesn’t just look fierce: the GSX-R1000-derived 999cc inline-four promises plenty of punch, pickup and torque-y temptation. Yet the real story here might be the unexpected rider-friendly tech, including a full-color, 5-inch TFT LCD screen, including ride-by-wire throttle, the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), three ride modes and the five-mode Advanced Traction Control System plus the brand’s Easy Start and Low RPM Assist systems. Don’t forget the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) and Bi-directional Quick Shift system, making speed changes easier than ever.

2026 Ducati Scrambler Nightshift

Ducati’s over-the-top sport bikes and world-class racing success make it easy to forget they make other kinds of equally gorgeous motorcycles. Case in point is this Emerald Green treatment of the brand’s classically styled scrambler. The color nods to 1970s motorsports, which nicely complement the café racer-style brown leather stitched seat, serpentine exhaust system, side number plates and lean front mudguard. It can rip too: the updated 803cc Desmodue engine puts out 73 ponies at 8,250 rpm and 48.1 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350

The name of this bike references the Indian state of Goa, known for its beaches and bike culture — and a moment back in the ’70s when colorful custom bobbers exploded onto the scene. Hence the throwback styling and head-turning paint scheme. Power-wise, you’re getting more of a beach cruiser than a highway hellion: the 349cc engine makes 19.9 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 19.9 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. That’s not a bad thing. Complete with a wet weight of 434 pounds and a seat height of 29.5 inches, the Goan is all about safe, approachable fun.

Benda LFC700

The first Chinese four-cylinder bike to reach production, this 676cc beast makes 85 horsepower and 44 lb.-ft. of torque, a huge rear tire — 310/35-18 — and unprecedented innovation. Where the headlight should be, you’ll find a jet engine duct-like intake that funnels air to the engine’s airbox. On the Pro edition, two lights flip up a la gullwings when turned on. Also exclusive to the pro the most legitimately useful unique feature: the rear suspension boasts a single dual-chamber air shock that can be raised or lowered more than three inches via handlebar controls — 25.6 inches at its lowest and 28.7 inches at its highest.
