I’m constantly sifting through the best and most exciting new releases from every brand from Timex to Rolex — including Seiko, Omega, Patek and everyone in between — and grouping together the most noteworthy watches right here. And that includes all of the hottest, craziest watches released at LVMH Watch Week, Watches and Wonders and Geneva Watch Week.

Bulova Racer Chronograph – 98B427

Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Black No-Date

This new Seamaster features a black no-date dial paired with a black aluminum bezel. The dial is also in aluminum and features laser-engraved waves in a finer pattern that resembles the original “Bond” Seamaster watches of the 1990s. All markings on the hands and bezel, as well as all dial text, are in white, giving the watch a classic monochrome look. In other words, it’s exactly what fans have been asking Omega to make for ages.

Serica Parade

Dress watches largely tend to follow the same basic formula. Smallish round or rectangular case, simple dial, leather strap, probably shiny. French microbrand Serica flips the script with the Parade, which boasts a never-before-seen shape — essentially an ellipse with straight sides. The case also features a stepped design with varying brushed and polished finishes, leading to a dramatic, tall, vertically brushed bezel with mirror-polished sides.

Girard-Perregaux Casquette 2.0 Titanium and Gold

It’s not often that a quartz watch sends enthusiasts into a frenzy, but then again, not many quartz watches can hold a candle to the Girard-Perregaux Casquette. The sci-fi-inspired original from 1976 was one of the world’s first digital watches, and its retro-futuristic design still looked just as radical and exciting when GP revived the watch as the Casquette 2.0 in black ceramic and titanium two years ago. Now, the Casquette 2.0 is back once again, this time in bare titanium with its applied logo and pushers in solid 18K yellow gold. The watch’s Cal. GP03980 quartz movement boasts numerous functions, including a chronograph, date and second time zone, and the watch’s titanium bracelet features a comfortable rubber lining and a micro-adjustable clasp. Production is limited to just 820 watches, but the SRP is a highly reasonable $4,960, making this the only watch in Girard-Perregaux’s current catalog under $5,000.

Bremont Supermarine Full Ceramic

The Supermarine Full Ceramic marks the first time Bremont has created a watch with a ceramic case. The lightweight material is renowned for its extreme hardness and near invulnerability to scratching, so its use here, at least in some respects, makes this new diver the toughest Bremont has ever made. Complementing the nearly unscratchable case are more hard-wearing and lightweight components. The crown, engraved screw-down caseback and knurled bezel are made of PVD-treated titanium, and the bezel also boasts a ceramic insert to match the case with its markings in relief.

Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto Classic

Christopher Ward’s new take on its most impressive watch is called the C1 Bel Canto Classic, as it takes a more classic approach to design than the futuristic original. The most prominent changes occur on the dial, where a sunburst platine has been replaced by a traditional guilloché pattern. But there’s nothing traditional about how the guilloché was created. Rather than being engraved by hand using a rose engine, the engravings are done with a state-of-the-art Femto laser in a process that takes about two hours per dial.

Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT “Zulu Time”

Finally, Tudor launched the exact watch that fans have been pleading for: a GMT version of the brand’s top-line Pelagos dive watch. On paper, it may be best GMT watch Tudor has ever made, thanks to its titanium build, ceramic bezel, thinness and Master Chronometer movement.

Breguet Type XX Rose Gold

This luxurious take on one of the most iconic military watches ever swaps out a stainless steel case for one made of solid rose gold. It also uses a glossy ceramic insert for the bezel, marking not only the first time Breguet has used the material in a Type XX watch but also the first time the brand has used ceramic in any of its watches.

Norqain Independence Skeleton Chrono Titanium

Norqain’s greatest claim to fame is the Wild One Skeleton, a watch that went viral earlier this year after actor Mark Wahlberg began wearing it on TV and on social media. Now Norqain has a brand-new chronograph in the Independence line that not only is threatening to take the Wild One’s position as the brand’s flagship watch, but also might just be the coolest chronograph on the market today.

Omega Speedmaster First Omega in Space

Back in 2012, Omega released a new Speedmaster variation dubbed the “First Omega in Space.” Often referred to as the “FOiS” by enthusiasts, this Speedy was based on the ref. CK2998 version of the iconic chronograph that astronaut Wally Schirra wore to space during the Mercury program’s Sigma 7 mission in 1962. Omega discontinued the original FOiS reissue back in 2021 but finally brought the style back with an entirely new version inspired by Schirra’s historic model. It features some major improvements over its predecessor, including a top-of-the-line Calibre 3861, METAS certification and a CVD-coated blue-gray color inspired by some ref. CK2998 watches the brand produced in the 1960s.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time Titanium

Longines updated its already great Spirit Zulu Time 39 with a version made of Grade 5 titanium, making the watch lighter and more premium-feeling than ever. The new GMT also marks the debut of a bi-color ceramic bezel insert for the Zulu Time, adding another luxurious touch. With these upgrades, Longines’ latest travel watch feels destined to duke it out with Tudor’s Black Bay Fifty-Eight GMT for the title of Best GMT of the Year.

Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Forged Carbon

Tissot crafted the most high-end version of its PRX Powermatic 80 yet, swapping out the stainless steel case for one made from rugged and lightweight forged carbon. The futuristic material is also used for the dial, while the movement gets an upgrade with the addition of a silicon balance spring.

H. Moser & Cie. x Studio Underd0g Project Passion

The year’s most talked-about watch collab is this unexpected team-up between H. Moser & Cie. and Studio Underd0g. On the surface, the brands couldn’t be more different. The former is a Swiss haute horological force with two centuries of history and an average SRP of $37,000, the latter a British upstart formed during the Covid-19 pandemic that’s best-known for selling $600 watches with Chinese movements.But what the two brands share is an eye for design, a cheeky sense of humor and an intense passion for watchmaking. It’s this shared passion that led to the Project Passion collab: Two watches with passion fruit-inspired colorways, one from each brand. Moser contributes an Endeavour Perpetual Calendar gussied up in the purple and gold like Lebron James, while Studio Underd0g debuts its 03Series chronograph with a Swiss-made movement for the first time. The only downside? They’re only available as a pair for $65K.

Nivada Grenchen Chronosport

Nivada is at it again with the vintage reissues, this time recreating an exceedingly rare 1970s chronograph with a unique two register layout and a highly sought-after “Paul Newman” dial. But this is no Rolex homage. Nivada used “exotic” dials produced by Singer back in the mid-century, just as Rolex did, meaning the original Chronosport was a contemporary of the Rolex Daytona rather than a copy.

M.A.D.Editions M.A.D.1S

Following the recent news that Chanel had acquired a 25-percent stake in his luxury watch brand MB&F, acclaimed independent watchmaker Max Büsser has announced the latest and greatest M.A.D.1 watch from his more affordable M.A.D.Editions brand. Initially launched in 2022, the original M.A.D.1 brought Büsser’s avant-garde horological designs, which typically sell for six figures under the MB&F label, to everyday enthusiasts for just 3,000 CHF thanks in part to its affordable Japanese Miyota movement. The new version, the M.A.D.1S, is a complete revamp. Featuring an ice-blue dial, the watch is the first M.A.D.1 to house a Swiss-made movement, the La Joux-Perret G101. The new watch is also 3mm slimmer than before thanks to the new movement and a redesigned time display, and a bit pricier at 3,135 CHF (~$3,715).

Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic

JLC added its Geographic complication — one of the best dual-time systems in the luxury watch game — to its Polaris dive watch. With the killer travel feature, 100m of water resistance, sporty looks and a 70-hour power reserve, this might just be the perfect vacation watch.

Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Sport Chronograph

Just in time for summer, Parmigiani has launched its sportiest watch ever. The Tonda PF Sport Chronograph gets a fresh coat of paint with three fun new panda-style colorways in stainless steel — Milano Blue, Arctic Grey and London Grey — with each mounted on a matching stitched rubber strap.

Audemars Piguet [RE]MASTER02

Modern-day AP is sometimes criticized for just being the “Royal Oak” company, but unexpected releases like this show why the brand is one of Swiss watchmaking’s “Holy Trinity.” The [RE]MASTER02 is a modern reimagining of one of the rarest AP references ever from the 1960s, the ref. 5159BA, and its asymmetrical case design and multi-part dial are just as wild today as they were 60 years ago.

Panerai Submersible Elux LAB-ID

A breakthrough innovation in the world of mechanical watches, Panerai’s 500m-capable dive watch in the brand’s new Ti-Ceramitech material (a fusion of titanium and ceramic) features a tiny generator inside its movement that transforms stored mechanical energy into electrical light, giving you lasting ultra-bright illumination at the press of a button without the use of a battery or traditional electronics.

Longines Conquest Automatic 38

Longines’ reconfigured Conquest might just be the best everyday watch you can buy for around $2,000. With its new 38mm case size, the robust sports watch now sits in a sweet spot size-wise, meaning it can bring its perfect blend of sporty and dressy looks to even more wrists.

Ressence Type 5 L

Ressence made its unusual and highly visible dive watch even more visible underwater, creating perhaps the most legible diver ever. The Type 5 already boasted an oil-filled dial that made it readable from any angle, but the Type 5 L adds a fully-luminous display for clear legibility even in total darkness.

H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition

For its second official watch as the timekeeping partner of the BWT Alpine F1 team, Moser did something wild and colorful. In other words, the watch is completely on brand. It’s a Streamliner powered by a skeletonized cylindrical tourbillon movement featuring a domed dial crafted from transparent pink synthetic spinel and mounted on a hot pink natural rubber strap.

Christopher Ward C60 Trident Lumière

Christopher Ward has come up with an unexpected version of its flagship Trident dive watch that’s unlike anything we’ve seen from the brand before … or any brand, really. The new diver is CW’s lightest and thinnest yet, with a Grade 2 titanium case and bracelet. The 41mm case measures just 10.85mm thin, while the new bracelet boasts a 6.5mm taper and an improved push-button micro-adjust clasp. Under the hood is a COSC-certified Sellita SW300 automatic movement, while the case gets a new helium escape valve and a fully-lumed ceramic bezel. But the real star of the show is the dial. All of the indices, the logo, and most of the handset are made from Globolight; solid blocks of ceramic lume usually seen on higher-end watch brands like Moser. CW says the lume glows twice as brightly as any other Trident, and since the standard Trident 300 was already one of the brightest divers around, that’s saying something.

Breitling Perpetual Calendar Chronographs

To celebrate 140 years in business, Breitling has released what may be its most complicated watches ever. For the first time in its near-century-and-a-half as a watchmaker, the brand has produced an in-house perpetual chronograph calendar movement for the first time ever. To mark this momentous occasion, the brand has simultaneously launched three new watches powered by the groundbreaking movement — one from each of its main chronograph lines: the Navitimer, Chronomat and Premier. All three perpetual calendar chronos are housed in an 18K red gold case and are limited to 140 pieces each.

Piaget Polo Skeleton Ceramic

After leaning into the heritage of the line by reissuing the original Polo from 1979 earlier this year, Piaget is now taking its flagship watch collection in an entirely different direction with the debut of the Polo Skeleton Ceramic. The first-ever ceramic watch from the 150-year-old brand, the Polo Skeleton Ceramic is likely the most contemporary watch we’ve ever seen from Piaget. Its 42mm black ceramic case has a titanium and sapphire caseback and houses a fully-in-house skeletonized automatic movement with a black finish and blue-hued micro-rotor. Heightening the modern vibes are the two quick-change integrated rubber straps that come with the watch, one black and one blue, that allow you to easily change the look of the piece without tools.

Hamilton Khaki Field Quartz

Hamilton vastly improved the most affordable version of its iconic field watch while also somehow making it cheaper. Available in two smaller sizes — crowd-pleasing 38mm or historically accurate 33mm — the new Khaki Field Quartz also gets a cleaned-up dial with a slight retro vibe thanks to the ’80s-inspired “Khaki” logo at 6 o’clock.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Date

TAG Heuer has spent the past few generations adding more refinements to its flagship diver, and this year it may have finally perfected it. The latest and greatest Aquaracer is now fully competitive against its luxury dive watch brethren thanks to an engraved wave dial, a smaller case, better finishing throughout and a new COSC-certified manufacture movement with an 80-hour power reserve.

Christopher Ward The Twelve X

One of the most ambitious watches ever launched by Christopher Ward, the Twelve X is crafted from a mix of Grade 2 and Grade 5 titanium and is powered by a skeletonized version of the brand’s in-house Calibre SH21 5-day automatic movement.

The James Brand x Timex

Timex x The James Brand x Titanium GMT

In a seriously impressive collab that basically no one saw coming, Timex and The James Brand teamed up to bring us one of the best affordable GMTs on the market. With a titanium case and bracelet, sapphire sandwich construction, 200m water resistance, Super-LumiNova lume and a “true” GMT automatic movement, this sharp-looking watch fills out a spec sheet like nothing else in its price bracket.

Zodiac Super Sea Wolf GMT Pink

An improved version of Zodiac’s dual-time diver, this GMT is fitted on the brand’s fan-favorite Jubilee-style bracelet and is powered by the STP7-20 manufacture movement. Best of all is the hot pink, white and black colorway inspired by the Caribbean.

Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Elite

Four years after becoming the first brand to produce a true Super Compressor dive watch case in 50 years, Christopher Ward has launched a new Super Compressor that brings in another forgotten dive watch feature of yesteryear: a colorful decompression timer dial. The “Elite” watch also gets a new COSC-certified movement for good measure.

Seiko Marinemaster SLA079

Following up the rebirth of the Marinemaster name as a smaller, leaner dive watch last year, Seiko returns the cult classic to its roots by bringing us a bigger and badder Marinemaster in 2024. This year’s version clocks in at 42.6mm across and once again boasts a 300-meter depth rating.

Luminox Pacific Diver Automatic

The first automatic version in Luminox’s Pacific Diver series is a legitimate entry-level luxury contender thanks to a ceramic bezel insert, a Sellita movement, 200m of water resistance and tritium-powered Luminox Light Technology. It has to be considered one of the most competitive entries in the sub-$1,500 dive watch market.

Bell & Ross BR 03 Diver

Bell & Ross’s revamped square-cased dive watch gets a ceramic insert, a more legible dial, a more streamlined rubber strap and an improved automatic movement to become a seriously compelling option for anyone looking for an unorthodox diver.

Ulysse Nardin Diver Net OPS

One of the most extreme military-style divers around, Ulysse Nardin’s rugged Diver Net OPS also happens to be the “most sustainable sports watch with a manufacture movement on the market” thanks to a case made from a mix of 95-percent recycled steel, upcycled fishing nets and Carbonium, UN’s proprietary carbon fiber composite made from airplane manufacturing scraps. That’s right, this dive watch contains airplane parts.

MING 37.09 Bluefin

MING has never made a typical watch, so it makes sense that the Malaysian brand’s take on a dive watch would be just as out there as the rest of its lineup. Instead of featuring a traditional dive bezel, the 37.09 Bluefin has its timing scale printed on the dial itself, while the indices remain stationary as a Hyceram luminous ring on the underside of the sapphire crystal. Turn the crown at 4 o’clock and the entire dial rotates, giving you a unique (and very cool) way to track your dive.

Fortis Novonaut AMADEE-24

Fortis has a decades-long history as a space-faring watch brand (its Cosmonaut Chronograph was the Omega Speedmaster equivalent for Russia’s NASA counterpart, Roscosmos), so it makes perfect sense the company would release a watch destined for Mars. This tough chrono features a unique communications delay bezel for timing those long transmissions to and from the red planet, and its in-house automatic movement has literally been tested in space to ensure it’s up to the task of interplanetary travel.

Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight GMT

The Black Bay 58 GMT is compact and thin, loaded with features like the quick-adjust T-fit clasp on both the bracelet and rubber strap options, and boasts METAS certification as a Master Chronometer.

Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph 5980/60G

A hype watch if there ever were one, this watch marks the first time the Nautilus Flyback Chronograph has been crafted in white gold. Toss in an opaline blue-gray dial and a denin-effect leather strap that looks like it was cut from a pair of blue jeans and you’ve got a recipe for a watch that’s impossible to purchase at retail.

Rolex Deepsea Yellow Gold

Rolex kicked off the debut of the Deepsea as its own standalone line with this beast of watch. It features a bracelet and case made from 18-karat gold, with the caseback and helium escape valve in titanium to withstand the pressures associated with its 3,900m depth rating.

Zenith Defy Extreme Diver

Zenith’s first dive watch in 20 years is thoroughly modern and highly impressive. The watch features a quick-release bracelet system (it comes with a bracelet and two straps), a snappy bezel is crafted entirely from ceramic — no insert here — and it’s one of the only dive watches powered by a high-beat automatic movement.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC

Absurdly thin at just 1.7mm “thick,” this watch retook the crown from Richard Mille as the world’s thinnest watch in 2024. But that’s not it’s only world record, as it’s also the world’s thinnest COSC-certified chronometer.

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time Pink Gold

The standout offering from Vacheron’s first green-dial Overseas combines its subtle yet striking shade with luxurious pink gold and its intuitive and pleasingly asymmetrical dual-time function.

Ulysse Nardin Freak S Nomad

Powered by the wild UN-251 movement with its starship-like carousel front and center, the Freak S Nomad ups the wow factor even more thanks to the striking diamond guilloché pattern on its metallic non-dial.

TAG Heuer Monaco Rattrapante

A highly limited reimagining of the iconic chronograph, this ultra high-end version of the Steve McQueen favorite features a split-second chronograph, a Grade 5 titanium case and an openwork movement.

Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Petite Seconde Rose Gold

Parmigiani’s reborn Toric collection is classiness personified, with soft lines, careful detailing and a sueded leather strap. It’s also bursting with precious metal: the case, dial, hands, indices, crown, buckle and even the movement are all crafted from gold.

Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa Ti-Ceramitech

This diver is the first watch to feature Panerai’s Ti-Ceramitech material, a combination of titanium and ceramic that achieves its blue color from a Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation process that also makes it ten times more resistant to fracturing than ceramic.

Oris Aquis Date Calibre 400

Oris’s latest version of it flagship dive watch features a thinner case, a color-matched date wheel and the in-house Calibre 400 movement with its 5-day power reserve and 10-year warranty.

Montblanc Iced Sea 0 Oxygen Deep 4810

The first dive watch imbued with Montblanc’s 0 Oxygen technology, this Iced Sea has had all oxygen from within the watch to improve performance in extreme environments. That’s a good thing, since it’s water resistant to 4,810m — the inverted height of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps.

IWC Portugieser Eternal Calendar

If a standard perpetual calendar’s 400 years of accuracy aren’t enough for you, how about this? IWC’s Eternal Calendar accounts for the Gregorian calendar’s skipping of the leap year every 400 years, and the brand claims it to have a moonphase accuracy of 45 million years.

Hublot Big Bang Integrated Time Only 38

Hublot likes it loud, with daring designs that jump off your wrist. This compact titanium three-hander, however, makes its own kind of statement. And we’re listening.

H. Moser & Cie. Pioneer Centre Seconds Concept Citrus Green

Moser’s playful personality comes through with this eccentric take on the Pioneer Centre Seconds sports watch thanks to a dégradé juicy citrus green dial surrounded by a luminous ring.

Grand Seiko SLGW003

Powered by the first manually wound hi-beat movement from Grand Seiko in half a century, this reinterpretation of the White Birch is crafted from Brilliant Hard Titanium and boasts an 80-hour power reserve.

Zenith Defy Revival A3648

A faithful remake of one of Zenith’s very first dive watches from 1969, the Revival A3648 maintains the original’s overall design, 37mm case size and even its robust 600m water resistance, but sees some upgrades in the form of a trio of sapphire crystals and modern luxury-level finishing.

Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time 5164G

Patek followed its own playbook after discontinuing the mega-popular Aquanaut Travel Time in stainless steel by releasing this version in white gold. Sure to be a hype monster itself, the watch combines an opaline blue-gray dial with a matching blue-gray composite strap.

Rolex GMT-Master II 126710GRNR

A more demure GMT-Master II, the GRNR swaps out the bright colors of its brethren for a subdued black and gray Cerachrom bezel, while its green dial text and GMT hand recall Rolex’s original all-black ceramic GMT from two decades ago.

Chopard Alpine Eagle XL Chrono Titanium

An extra sporty iteration of Chopard’s popular sports watch, this lightweight titanium flyback chronograph is only available on a slick rubber strap and features an “Rhône Blue” panda dial with the Alpine Eagle’s trademark iris pattern.

Cartier Santos-Dumont Rewind

Cartier quite literally plays with time on this limited-edition Santos-Dumont. Not only does its dial feature the numbers displayed in reverse but its movement is also engineered to run counterclockwise.

Patek Philippe World Time 5330G-001

The first World Time in Patek’s permanent collection to feature a date complication, the 5330G shows the date via a pointer mounted on a glass hand so as not to interrupt the symmetry of the dial. A denim-effect leather strap is the cherry on top that clues you into how unique and special this watch is.

Rolex Sky Dweller 336935

With a slate dial and an Everose gold case and bracelet, this stunner marks the first time a Jubilee bracelet has been included with a precious metal Sky-Dweller. Of course, the watch retains its complex movement featuring a GMT, an annual calendar and Ring Command bezel control system.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre Heliotourbillon

JLC shows off its mechanical prowess with a pair of firsts on this stunner. One is a new type of tourbillon that rotates on three different axes for heightened precision, the other being a patented feature that displays leap years in red on the perpetual calendar.

Norqain Wild One Skeleton Coral

Norqain doubled down on its signature sports watch by releasing it in some new bright colors. The “Coral” is the standout. As always, the watch is incredibly lightweight thanks to its Norteq case; it’s also highly shock-resistant due in part to a rubber bumper system.

Bremont Terra Nova Chronograph

Bremont’s rebrand takes center stage with this chronograph featuring a ceramic compass bezel, indices cut from solid blocks of Super-LumiNova and a case made from rugged 904L stainless steel.

Seiko 5 Sports SNXS Series

A rebirth of the cult-classic budget Seiko SNXS, this modern version maintains the sleek case shape and day-date complication but amps up the sportiness with a colorful ’70s-inspired look.

Omega x Swatch Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Moonphase

A special edition MoonSwatch released to honor the second anniversary of the original, the Mission to the Moonphase is the first Swatch ever to combine a chronograph with a moonphase complication. More importantly to collectors, the watch also features the Peanuts character Snoopy, recalling the highly sought-after Omega Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” editions.

Doxa Sub 200T

A scaled-down version of the iconic Doxa Sub 300 dive watch, the Sub 200T is svelte, thin and compact, offering up Doxa’s signature unique and brash styling to a wider variety of wrists.

Girard-Perregaux Free Bridge Meteorite

One of the most modern variations of GP’s ancient Bridges platform, the Free Bridge Meteorite decorates its inverted movement “dial” with two meteorite bridges, symmetrically placed on the right and left. In between them are the mainspring barrel at 12 o’clock — with the spring facing out — and the balance wheel at six, creating a visually pleasing layout that’s also readable in the dark thanks to surprisingly good lume on the hands and indices.

Baltic Prismic

Coming somewhere between a dress watch and a sports watch is Baltic’s difficult-to-classify Prismic. But whatever type of watch it is, one thing is for certain: It’s beautiful. The Prismic comes on a fitted stainless steel mesh strap and has a five-part case made of stainless steel and Grade 5 titanium. But the star of the show is the dial, which features multiple finishing styles and geometric patterns.

For this special limited version of Sinn’s U50 dive watch, the German brand paired a black PVD Tegimented German submarine steel case with a fully-lumed dial. But since this is Sinn, the dial is more over-engineered than you think. Rather than using typical luminous paint, the lume was forged into a ceramic disc which was then fused onto the metal base dial, resulting in bonkers luminosity.

Unimatic Modello Cinque

After first releasing a version of the Modello Cinque as a limited edition collab with Massena Lab, Unimatic released the 36mm dive-capable field watch on its own in two colorways. But, in typical Unimatic fashion, both are still limited editions.

Tissot PR516 Mechanical

A modern reissue of a Tissot chronograph from 1970, the PR516 is a rare, Swiss-made, hand-wound chronograph for under $2,000. It combines retro styling with impressive water resistance, a dual-function (and dual-color) tachymeter/pulsometer bezel and pleasantly restrained dimensions of 41mm across and 13.7mm thick.

Bremont Bamford Aurora

Bamford and Bremont joined forces for this striking GMT based on the latter’s Supermarine GMT. Inspired by the Northern Lights, the watch has an ethereal glow thanks to generous helpings of bright-green emitting Super-LumiNova on the hands, sandwich dial and 24-hour sapphire bezel.

Sinn 103 Classic 12 H

The previous record holder for “best-looking Sinn ever” was the 103 Classic 12, a reverse panda chrono released as a limited edition back in 2021. But a new challenger for the crown has emerged in this new rendition of the same watch, now outfitted in a ’70s-inspired brown, cream and orange colorway as part of a collab with German watch magazine Armbanduhren.

TAG Heuer Carrera Dato

TAG Heuer’s back catalog is filled with quirky vintage favorites from Heuer’s mid-century heyday, and we’ve already seen the brand resurrect some recently — like the Skipper — to great acclaim through the retro-modern Glassbox platform introduced last year. Now comes the Dato, which combines a Destro date window with a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock for a unique layout. The teal dial brings it all together in gorgeous fashion.

Hublot Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Purple Sapphire

There’s crazy, there’s Hublot crazy, and then there’s this. An openworked manufacture tourbillon movement and a case crafted from purple sapphire would be more than enough to make this watch a standout, but Hublot went the extra mile and made an entire bracelet out of purple sapphire. Granted, the brand released this exact watch in blue sapphire in 2023, but with purple watches being a hot trend at the moment, the 2024 version looks even better to my eye. Wearing the watch on the sapphire bracelet is a wild experience, it’s silky and smooth and feels like water on the wrist (in a good way). The whole package is very cohesive yet undeniably crazy.

Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar

The El Primero Chronomaster Triple Calendar is back after a brief hiatus, now in the Original’s 38mm case and packing the 1/10th of a second chronograph El Primero movement. In other words, the watch is more impressive and attractive than its ever been. The triple calendar and moonphase are incorporated nicely into the three-register chronograph layout (even if some will lament the 4:30 date), and the fact that Zenith packed it all into an easy-wearing, classically-sized case is very impressive (and quite welcome). It may just be the most versatile chronograph on the market thanks to its compact size and dressy-sporty vibe.

Bulgari Bulgari

Bulgari’s 1970s fashion icon is back, with its release perfectly coinciding with a renewed desire in the market for retro gold watches from the ’70s and ’80s. Available in both this yellow gold/black dial version and rose gold style with a white dial, the new stunner maintains the original’s boldly-branded bezel but sees a decidedly upgraded movement in the form of Bulgari’s own BVL 191 automatic.

Daniel Roth Tourbillon Subscription

While not as recognizable of a name as Genta, the rebirth of watchmaker Daniel Roth’s brand is also exciting for watch collectors. Need proof? Over 1,000 well-connected and wealthy prospective buyers applied to buy one of the reborn brand’s first watch, but with only 20 being made, the vast majority were turned down. The Tourbillon Subscription watch is a reimagining of the first Daniel Roth watch from the ’80s, the Tourbillon Ref. 2187/C187, which is considered the first model from independent watchmaker’s brand. It features a brand-new tourbillon caliber developed in-house at La Fabrique du Temps and a solid gold guilloché dial like the one seen on the original.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph 34

TAG Heuer’s solar-powered Aquaracer Solargraph diver has been a big hit for the brand since making its debut in 2022, and in 2024 the brand has expanded the line to be more inclusive with a 34mm version. A true unisex dive watch, the smaller size is more than a scaled-down version of the original. It has a different bezel featuring throwback rider tabs that recall some 40-year-old TAGs, along with unique dial designs like the mesmerizing textured “Polar Blue” seen here.

Hublot MP-10

Hublot knows it’s a polarizing brand — in fact, it embraces that identity. But however you feel about its designs, no one can question Hublot’s ingenuity. That’s especially true with its MP (Manufacture Piece) line, where the brand gets even more experimental than usual (which is saying something). For the MP-10, Hublot reimagined how an automatic watch creates energy and came up with a rotor-free system consisting of a pair of white gold blocks vertically mounted on posts and cushioned by tiny spring shock absorbers. As the blocks move up and down on the posts as you move your wrist, the movement is wound — as indicated by the cylindrical power reserve. The design has no dial or hands, and the time is read on rotating barrels for the hour and minutes with a 35-degree tourbillon acting as a seconds counter.

Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Sport Gem-Set

The Chronomaster Sport is flashier than ever with this gem-set version. With a case and bracelet made from solid rose gold, a meteorite dial, diamond indices and a gem-set bezel fitted with a mix of diamonds, sapphires and spinels in blue, dark gray and light gray to match the iconic El Primero chronograph registers (clever), there certainly is a lot going on here — especially for a brand that’s not really known for making fancy, gem-set watches. But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t all come together in a cohesive and seriously gorgeous package. It really shows how the Chronomaster Sport can be a platform for a variety of unique styles, and I can’t wait to see what Zenith cooks up next.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon

TAG Heuer Teal is quickly becoming a signature color for the brand, and I sure wouldn’t mind seeing it on more watches. But the most impressive application of the shade thus far has to be on the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon. Seamlessly slipping a tourbillon into the beautiful Glassbox chronograph layout (though a few mm larger than usual to accomodate the complication) and topping it all off with that alluring blue-green hue, this watch is a real head-turner.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tuscan Copper

The Octo Finissimo is Bulgari’s daring platform, where the brand expands with crazy-thin movements and interesting case materials. But sometimes, the simplest takes on the form can be the most alluring. Take for instance this stainless steel iteration with a salmon dial. On paper, it’s among the most standard offerings of the Octo, but in the metal, it’s perhaps the most striking in the entire lineup.

Hublot Big Bang Unico Green Saxem

Hublot’s Saxem material is a cousin to sapphire — it’s just as scratch-resistant and aluminum oxide-based but a bit different chemically, with rare Earth elements utilized to create brilliant colors. Each color takes around two years to develop, but green was the original and maybe still the best. Green Saxem looks especially good when used as the case for the Big Bang Unico chronograph, thanks to Hublot putting in the extra effort to perfectly match the hands and indices to the case’s dynamic color.

Longines Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve

To mark 70 years of the Conquest collection, Longines dug deep into its archives to recreate a unique piece from 1959 that displayed its power reserve via two rotating discs in the center of the dial. The elegant version recreates the unusual complication with a brand-new Longines-exclusive movement with an impressive 72 hours of power. The modern-retro design is as unique as the complication, thanks in part to the art deco “skyscraper” hands.

Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Apollo 8

The Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Apollo 8 Edition is a complete revamp of the original version that was released in 2018 for the 50th anniversary of the titular NASA mission. The 2024 iteration features a far more detailed image of the moon on both the front and back sides of the skeletonized movement, and the movement itself has been upgraded from the Calibre 1869 to the Calibre 3869. Both are manual wind chronographs, but the latter is a Co-Axial Master Chronometer, bringing the DSOTM more in line with other modern Omegas. Also, as a fun touch, the running seconds hand at 9 o’clock is now crafted from titanium in the shape of a Saturn V rocket like the one used on the Apollo missions.

Breitling Chronomat B01 42 Super Bowl LVIII

To celebrate Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, and to pay tribute to former NFL MVP and brand ambassador Boomer Esiason, Breitling made this special edition of the Chronomat, with a portion of sales going to the Boomer Esiason Foundation. The Super Bowl’s colorful Vegas logo is emblazoned on the sapphire caseback, but otherwise, this is the same Chronomat Chronograph we know and love, with a blue anthracite dial, a textured rubber strap and a solid red gold case.

Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Father Time Limited Edition

Oris loves its baseball collabs, like its Hank Aaron edition or the ever-popular Roberto Clemente version, but for this watch, the independent Swiss brand teamed up with baseball’s cousin from across the pond for a cricket-themed version. The Father Time Limited Edition is a collab with London’s Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and is themed after the club’s Father Time weathervane, a fixture at MCC’s home at Lord’s Cricket Ground for nearly a century. The fully bronze watch features an image of the weathervane on the caseback and includes both a matching bronze bracelet and Cervo Volante leather strap.

Shinola Ceramic Monster Automatic

So in typical CW fashion, the brand released this 36mm version, a unisex stunner that maintains the original’s overall design and COSC-certified movement.

H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Wyoming Jade

If the usual integrated bracelet sports watches leave you feeling blasé, then Moser’s Streamliner is for you. Its snake-like bracelet and sparse dial look like nothing else, and this version — executed in full 5N red gold with a piece of Wyoming jade stone for the dial with a hole carved out for the tourbillon — is even more unique than usual.

Bulova Lunar Pilot Meteorite

Bulova’s Lunar Pilot is based on a 1971 prototype from the brand that actually went to the moon, making it a great budget alternative to the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch from both a stylistic and historical perspective. The Promaster Air GMT combines Citizen’s trademark knack for creating big, functional pilot’s watches with the 9054 (the el to create a do-it-all flyer … slide-rule bezel included.

Timex Marlin Jet Automatic

The Marlin Jet isn’t a reissue of a vintage Timex like other Marlins. Instead, it draws broad inspiration from mid-century space-age design and incorporates some interesting design quirks as a result. Most notably is the large hesalite crystal that encapsulates the entire bezel, making for a visually interesting case — especially for the price.

Longines Master Collection GMT

Seeing a Longines priced at nearly $15,000 is maybe a little shocking, but given the quality of the brand’s recent output, we all need to start getting used to the idea of Longines as a major player in the mid-level luxury market. This dress watch features a solid 18-carat yellow gold case and is powered by a Longines-exclusive “true” GMT automatic movement.

Bremont x Argylle Jet

Inspired by and featured in the 2024 spy film Argylle, the Jet is based on Bremont’s U-2 pilot’s watch — a beast of a piece featuring the brand’s tough Trip-Tick case and dual-crown setup. This version also boasts black DLC coating and an argyle pattern on the dial to go along with the similarly-titled film.

If you’re unfamiliar with the category, materials usually separate performance dress shirts from their ordinary counterparts. They essentially replace the cotton in traditional button-down shirts with a mix of advanced synthetic fibers with roots in athletic wear. The benefits gained from this swap depend on the exact synthetics used, but typically include better stretch and movement, wrinkle resistance, sweat-wicking, and even odor-fighting.

Why Rhone’s Commuter Shirt Stands Out

So why do we like Rhone’s shirt in particular? Our tester called out a few specific features.

Thanks to the nylon-elastane blend, he considered it the most breathable of the shirts he tested. He also appreciated that the shirt wasn’t see-through and despite feeling thin and light. A modern icon

The basic design of the shoe dates back to the 1970s, when Nike introduced the original Killshot as a court shoe for racquetball and squash players. That version had a mesh upper with suede detailing around toe box and heel.

Fast forward to 2009, the Swoosh teamed up with J.Crew to sell a leather version of the shoe called the Killshot 2.

It sold out instantly (that is, in seconds), as did all subsequent drops — available exclusively through the preppy American retailer until Nike decided it was too good not to stock itself.

Nike Killshot 2 sneakers — The Killshot became an instant hit when J.Crew started selling it in 2009.

As such, the Killshot 2 become a modern icon of the heritage menswear boom, with a lasting legacy that’s as relevant as ever.

The shoe was recently featured in the tennis film Challengers, starring Zendaya and Josh O’Connor, and the Netflix series Nobody Wants This with Adam Brody — both from 2024.

An Ultracool 1970s Driver’s Watch Is Back and Better Than Ever

Digital driver’s watches are officially back.

The tiny category was a short-lived fad of the 1970s that consisted of watches with long, sloping, automotive-inspired cases and digital displays angled so they could be easily read with your hand on the steering wheel.

Bulova was the first to revive the driver’s watch back in 2019 when it resurrected its Computron digital watch from 1976. Then came Girard-Perregaux, the biggest name in the space, which began reissuing its iconic Casquette — also from ’76 — two years ago and just launched another version this month.

Now, it’s Amida’s turn.

A 1970s Curiosity Returns

Unlike the aforementioned brands, Amida isn’t exactly a well-known brand in the watch industry. It is best known for its Digitrend watch from 1976, a mechanical digital driver’s watch that attempted to compete with the new quartz technology of the day by way of a jump hour module reflected through a prism.

Despite its innovation, the Digitrend wasn’t a success among the greater public, and Amida folded as a company before the end of the decade. But collectors have long held a soft spot for the Digitrend. Back in 2013, haute horological standout MB&F produced the HM5 as a contemporary tribute to the watch.

Instagram Is Quietly Adding a Super Helpful New Feature

No matter your smartphone, it has an app or feature that lets you share your location with friends and family (and even temporarily with strangers if you like). If you have an iPhone, it’s the Find My app. If you have a Samsung Galaxy, it’s the Samsung Find app. If you have a Pixel, it’s the Contacts app (but also just Google Maps).

The problem is that these location-sharing apps mostly rely on the other person having the same smartphone as you. So it’s iPhone to iPhone. Or Android to Android.

Of course, there are location-sharing apps that work across devices, such as Life360 or Glympse. And iPhone’s Find My and Samsung’s Samsung Find apps have workarounds that make them cross-compatible. But those can be a little complicated.

The good news is that some of most popular apps around are adopting live-location sharing. So it doesn’t really matter what kind of smartphone you have. The latest app to do this is Instagram.

Instagram Share Live Location feature — Instagram is rolling out live location sharing to “select countries” right now.

Announced this week, Instagram is adding the ability to share your live location with somebody via your direct messages (or DMs). You’ll also be able to pin a meeting location on the map.

I’ve Never Seen a Field Watch Quite Like This Before

Field watches are the modern-day descendants of the trench watches worn by soldiers during the First World War. As such, they tend to be more rudimentary and simplistic than other watch styles.

Most field watches are highly legible with relatively bland styling, a carryover from the style’s utilitarian origins. A black dial with white Arabic numeral indices is the most classic and common arrangement, with the more daring examples featuring a dark green or (gasp!) white dial.

But field watches don’t have to be boring. As long as a watch meets the criteria of being a rugged tool watch with high visibility, a sterile bezel, some water and shock resistance, and an uncluttered dial without excessive complications, people will probably call it a field watch. That still leaves room to be creative, particularly when it comes to color.

Bremont knows this, as the brand has just launched a watch that looks unlike any field watch I’ve seen before thanks to its pale pink dial.

Pink Is In

2024 has been a big year for pink watches. Back in May, I declared it the year of the pink watch on the back of releases like Tudor’s Black Bay Chrono Pink and Grand Seiko’s Pink Snowflake, and the evidence has only grown since then. Just last week, TAG Heuer unveiled a pink and black Monaco, and now Bremont comes along with its Terra Nova 38 ‘Pink.’

The new model is a limited-edition version of the Terra Nova 38 field watch introduced at Watches & Wonders earlier this year, the watch that is perhaps the most symbolic of Bremont’s new brand direction. With its exquisitely finished cushion case, oversized crown, fancy bullet bracelet and huge Arabic indices cut from solid blocks of Super-LumiNova, the Terra Nova already stood out in the crowded field of its genre.
