Dangerous (re)curves
The chief difference between this Karambit and others, including other folders, is the blade shape. Kubey has simply flipped it, but that change makes all the difference.
While other karambits have a hawkbill blade, which is like a hook, this one has a recurve blade — essentially the “flipped” version of a hawkbill. This gives it a longer, wider cutting belly that’s much more practical in EDC settings.
However, the handle’s styling, including the finger ring on the tail, is still very much in line with traditional karambits. This makes it grippy, ergonomic, secure, and still flippable.

The Chronomaster Sport 160th Anniversary Edition may be the most beautiful watch ever to house the esteemed movement. The dial, coated in a blue lacquer that matches the ceramic case, contains the three tonal overlapping subdials indicative of the Chronometer.

Off the handle
To grasp what makes this knife special, you must first understand what an integral knife is. Luckily, the concept is pretty straightforward, even if the name is a little obtuse.
An integral knife has a handle made of a single piece of material instead of multiple pieces sandwiched together with hardware. In the case of the original 702, that material was titanium.
The new 702xi models also use titanium, but some noteworthy differences exist. For starters, the titanium integral handle also gets fat carbon fiber inlays, which helps refine the design.

Buck Customizable 55 Knife
The smaller sibling to Buck’s legendary 110 Folding Hunter, the 55 is a relatively unsung small EDC knife. However, that could be about to change, as the brand has just launched a huge amount of custom options for this tiny titan. Along with offering blade swaps — including options for S35VN or MagnaCut steel — the knife also sees several handle and bolster options, and can even be custom-engraved.
Cold Steel’s Demko-designed AD-10 has been a staple of the tactical and EDC communities for ages, but this limited edition version is perhaps the stealthiest and most minimalist it has ever been. Limited to just 1,000 examples, it gets a blacked-out colorway to go along with its 3V steel and titanium handle upgrades. Of course, it still has the legendary Tri-Ad lock that helped solidify this knife as a knifemaking icon.

It might seem like a joke — especially as it launched on April Fool’s Day — but this WESN knife bundle is very real. This bundle includes four blacked-out D2 steel and titanium Microblades, each emblazoned with a different iconic meme on the handle scales. While the designs are clearly cheeky — as is the pricing — the knives are legit and high-quality, crafted in the brand’s Detroit facility. They’re only available as a set for one day, so get ’em while you can.

If it only had front flipper and thumb stud deployments, a complex-ground M390 complex blade and a titanium handle with carbon fiber inlays, Remette’s RT-Meteor would still be a pretty spectacular knife from tip to tail. However, it also has a pretty interesting novelty: a button-actuated frame lock (meaning it can be operated like a traditional frame lock but also has a button release). That helps set this gorgeous knife apart even further and makes it one of the most unique releases of the year.

Designed by Vulpex Knives, Bestech’s VK-Kuze is a thoroughly modern, minimalist pocket knife that sneakily draws inspiration from traditional Japanese design. For instance, the MagnaCut blade might look like a straight back or drop point, but it’s actually an extremely subtle tanto shape. Equipped with both a front flipper and single-sided thumb stud deployment, that blade is mated to a titanium handle with an integrated frame lock. The gorgeous VK-Kuze is yet another example of Vulpex’s exceptional design prowess.

Kizer has transformed its original crossbar knife, the Drop Bear, into an equally sleek and robust utility knife. However, the brand didn’t simply swap the EDC blade for a replaceable razor — it crafted a tool-free mechanism that makes swapping blades a cinch while keeping them secure in use. While this utility folder still features the brand’s reliable, ambidextrous crossbar lock and reversible pocket clip, it also has a couple of other hidden bonuses: a pair of tweezers and a toothpick hidden in the handle.

This robust tactical folder was penned by Bob Terzuola, master designer and former knifemaker at the CIA. At over nine inches in length, it’s a hefty knife backed up by its hard-working construction. That includes a Nitro-V blade with a black stonewash finish and a complex grind — which makes it as adept at piercing as it is at carving. The flipper blade collapses inside a Micarta handle, offering great stability and durability, and is secured by a reliable liner lock. As is often the case with Terzuola’s designs, this knife doesn’t play around.

Serge Panchenko’s innovative Coin Claw knife has been a cult-favorite EDC oddity for years. But the fifth-generation version you see here is the first time that it’s been given an automatic deployment mechanism. The circular knife features a 1.21-inch S35VN steel hawkbill blade, a stonewashed titanium handle and a button to operate the lock and deployment. It’s also made in the USA.

Helle Fjording 50 aar – 2025 LTD
Fifty years ago, Helle introduced a unique fixed-blade knife with a blade roughly half as long as a traditional one, ideal for carving and woodworking. The Fjording walked so that the iconic Helle Nying could run, and to honor that legacy, the brand has rolled out a 50th anniversary update. The 50 aar (translation: 50 years) features the same short stubby blade and contoured handle but the blade steel has been upgraded to Helle’s thicker laminate H3LC steel and the handle is made of of curly birch, stabilized green curly birch and leather. Like most Helle offerings, this knife comes complete with a premium leather sheath.

Best Made recruited a fifth-generation Japanese knifesmith to craft its iconic folder, which boasts an Edo-period design with a flattened thumb lever deploying a reverse tanto-shaped blade. The knives are handmade in the Yasugi district with modern steel (SK5 high-carbon steel for the Mini size, Aogami No. 2 blue steel for the Mid and Max) and polished brass. The $58 Mini’s blade is 1.6 inches, the $78 Mid’s measures 2 inches and the $88 Max’s is 2.95 inches.

One of two upgraded editions of Kershaw’s popular Covalent knife, this one sees its blade swapped for S35VN steel and its handle swapped for titanium. While the knife’s material swaps help give it a robust, luxury boost, everything else that already makes it great still remains. That includes its DuraLock crossbar lock, flipper deployment, KVT ball-bearing pivot and extra-deep pocket clip.

One of two upgraded editions of Kershaw’s popular Covalent knife, this one sees its blade swapped for Böhler M390 steel and its handle swapped for carbon fiber. While the knife’s material swaps help give it a robust, luxury boost, everything else that already makes it great still remains. That includes its DuraLock crossbar lock, flipper deployment, KVT ball-bearing pivot and extra-deep pocket clip.

In 2023, Kershaw released a series of knives showcasing the brand’s DuraLock — its take on the increasingly popular crossbar lock. Among them was the Covalent, which quickly became one of the brand’s most popular drops in the DuraLock lineup.

As you might expect, not everything about these two new takes on the Covalent is different. Much of what made the original knife thankfully remains.
For instance, its physical specs haven’t changed. The knives are still 7.6 inches long with 3.2-inch drop-point blades. While the titanium version is a bit heavier at 3.8 ounces (a product of its materials), the carbon fiber one remains 2.8 ounces, just like the original.
Other returning features include the flipper deployment, KVT ball-bearing pivot, lanyard hole and deep-carry pocket clip. Furthermore, they both retain their showcase feature, the DuraLock crossbar locking mechanism.

The product world moves at a mile a minute. From an Italian moto brand’s first motocross bike to a stylish surf collaboration, these are today’s most exciting new drops from Ducati, Snow Peak and more.
Although the brand has been racing it professionally for a while, Ducati’s first-ever motocross bike, the Demo450 MX, is finally available to the general public. Its single-cylinder 449cc engine pumps out 63.5 horsepower and 39.5 lb-ft torque, making it a formidable lightweight dirt bike. Alongside its powertrain, it also has a twin-spar aluminum frame, Showa 49mm upside-down forks and monoshocks, Brembo brakes, Pirelli Scorpion MX32 Mid-Soft tires, Takasago Excel aluminum rims with Alpina spokes and so much more. It’s a bold new lane for the typically street-going Italian brand.

“Our mission? Get the surfers camping and the campers surfing.” So says A. Todd, head of design at Finisterre, about the UK-based company’s new collaboration with Japanese outdoor living brand Snow Peak. Toward that end, this collection features limited-edition Yulex wetsuits, a poncho, titanium camp utensils, waterproof Drift Buckets and a variety of multi-use apparel, including an all-black version of Finisterre’s best-selling Daybreaker Jacket ($210, above), which is equal parts warm, water repellant, lightweight and stylish.

Helle Fjording 50 aar – 2025 LTD
Fifty years ago, Helle introduced a unique fixed-blade knife with a blade roughly half as long as a traditional one, ideal for carving and woodworking. The Fjording walked so that the iconic Helle Nying could run, and to honor that legacy, the brand has rolled out a 50th anniversary update. The 50 aar (translation: 50 years) features the same short stubby blade and contoured handle but the blade steel has been upgraded to Helle’s thicker laminate H3LC steel and the handle is made of of curly birch, stabilized green curly birch and leather. Like most Helle offerings, this knife comes complete with a premium leather sheath.

LG’s UltraGear GX9 series of OLED gaming monitors were announced at CES 2025 and are now available. Stone Island developed a fabric that sandwiches an aluminum foil sheet between two layers of cotton poplin. This utilizes the metal’s heat-trapping properties and creates a water-resistant layer while maintaining the look and feel of a cotton jacket.
The only visual sign of the aluminum is a slight sheen to the fabric, which Stone Island played into by adding reflective tape to the inside of the cuff and waistline.

The Marina Aluminium Tela Parka is another impressive feat from Stone Island’s research and development department. It uses a common, cheap and harmless material to replicate the performance of GORTEX and other chemical DWR treatments. Most important of all, it looks great.
Looking at Stone Island’s history, this could be the only time that this aluminum-cotton fabric is used. Hopefully, the jacket will be a success, and the textile will be developed further as a more sustainable alternative to DWR chemical treatments.

Deceptively robust
The RND Edition of the Unit Sling’s biggest strength lies in its material. That’s partially literal, as the fabric is incredibly strong, but it’s also somewhat figurative.
Four of the five configurations are crafted from a combination of Challenge Sailcloth ECOPAK EPX 200 — a type of recycled polyester used in the sails of professional, competitive sailboats — and 420D ROBIC nylon. The fifth is made from Dyneema — a UHMWPE known for being ten to fifteen times stronger than steel.
Either way, the bag is remarkably tough and resistant to abrasions, punctures, tears and so on. Yet, despite its strength, it’s also incredibly lightweight. In fact, the whole bag weighs just 14 ounces — about as much as a soda can.

The Bestech VK-Kuze is designed by Vulpex Knives, a German knife designer responsible for some of the most interesting recent EDC knife designs, especially in terms of minimalism. This design, perhaps obviously, continues that trend.
It’s pretty exceptional materially. Its 3.0-inch blade is made of MagnaCut steel, and the handle is titanium. It also has a ceramic ball-bearing pivot.
Regarding its other mechanisms, it’s equipped with a front flipper and a single-sided thumb stud for deployment alongside its sturdy integrated frame lock.

The 5 rectifies this with its new Matryx woven upper — a Kevlar-like material — and some strategically placed reinforcements.
The Matryx weave ensures a much greater degree of durability across the upper without hampering its flexibility or comfort. The reinforcement points add a little extra strength where the boot needs it most.

A tribute to Isuzu’s 1988 TFR Space Cab pickup truck, the brand’s Thailand offshoot has created what might be Isuzu’s finest restomod ever. The highly modified truck gets a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine (tuned by BRD) that churns out an impressive 220 hp and 550 Nm of torque. However, inside the Katana Matte Silver body, the interior is all modern luxury, marked by Alcantara-trimmed Recaro Premium Classic seats, a custom front console, a 10-inch AIM MXT digital display and an 11.8-inch Android infotainment screen that can display real-time performance metrics.

Peak Design Passport Wallet
Peak Design’s Passport Wallet can hold three passports, eight credit cards and 15 cash bills. It’s made of an abrasion-resistant material (TerraShell Ultra) and has a magnetic closure. It’s thin and lightweight, designed to easily slip into a back pocket or one of the brand’s travel bags. The Passport Wallet is launching as a Kickstarter add-on for early backers of the brand’s first rollable luggage, the Roller Pro, but Peak Design plans to sell the Passport Wallet individually on its site in September.
