With the likes of BMW and Triumph flashing snazzy scramblers and roadsters and Indian coming in hot with fully loaded big-displacement rides, it has been a real high-octane smorgasbord lately.

2026 BMW R 12 G/S
Inspired by the brand’s first-ever Dakar-winning motorcycle from the early 1980s, the 2026 BMW R 12 G/S is a long-awaited reimagining sure to have fans chomping at the bit to hop aboard. While its retro styling looks magnificent on the road, this is a fully capable modern off-roader. Highlights include a one-piece tubular spaceframe with a bolted-on rear frame, fully-adjustable telescoping front forks and rear shocks and a swath of modern features that make it easier and more enjoyable to ride. It’s also the first BMW off-road motorcycle with an 18-inch rear wheel option.

A modern classic itching to tackle challenging off-road surfaces, the Scrambler 1200 XE Icon Edition in Sapphire Black and Aluminum Silver just happens to look stunning as well. That’s thanks in part to its hand-painted gold lining and the vintage gold 1907 Triumph script logo. The high-torque 1200cc Bonneville twin cylinder engine boasts a Scrambler-specific tune while Marzocchi suspension components, Brembo brakes and Metzeler dual-purpose tubeless tires ensure you keep the shiny side up. Note: Though the bike itself is not brand-new, a unique edition with a Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride pannier is only available to this year’s top fundraiser.

Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini
The third collaboration between Ducati and Lamborghini goes far beyond a branding exercise to become perhaps the highest-performing Panigale yet. Inspired by the Lamborghini Revuelto, this limited-edition bike boasts not only a corresponding paint scheme but also a number of carbon-fiber components that lighten its weight by more than four pounds versus a traditional Panigale V4 S. Meanwhile, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust pipe with carbon end caps and a dedicated calibration of the celebrated 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine boost the total horsepower to 218.5, edging past the standard version by 2.5 ponies.

Peugeot-owned Dab Motors has unveiled a scrambler-ified version of its flagship bike at Milan Design Week 2025. While the bike retains much of the original’s styling and capabilities — like 150km of range per charge, 395 NM of torque and a 125kg weight — it also gets some noteworthy upgrades that make it much more trail-capable. The biggest swap is the tires, which are now beefy Pirelli knobby tires. The bike also gets a raised carbon fiber front fender and fork protectors.

The R 1300 R packs a positively staggering array of features into a sub-$17,000 roadster. The GS-derived 1300cc boxer engine makes 145 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque, enabling this 527-pound beast to go 0-60 mph in just 3.25 seconds. Supporting that adrenalized acceleration are sport tires on 17-inch aluminum cast wheels, a new upside-down telescopic fork and new EVO Paralever II rear suspension. The bike also boasts a bevy of high-tech electronics including a 6.5-inch full-color TFT screen, BMW Motorrad Fully Integral ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Frontal Collision Warning (FCW) and five ride modes — Rain, Eco, Road, Dynamic and Dynamic Pro.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Touring Kit
The Super Meteor’s 648cc parallel-twin engine places it squarely in the middleweight cruiser division, but the bike punches well above that class thanks to nimble handling, easy acceleration and tip-to-tail good looks. Outfitting it for the long haul won’t break the bank, either. This package — including a deluxe touring seat and footpegs, large windscreen, passenger backrest and hard panniers — adds less than $1,300 to the quite reasonable $6,999 base price.

This beastly bagger’s striking aesthetic is inspired by Gene “Alabama Flash” Walker, who set a land-speed record in 1920 on his Indian PowerPlus, staking his claim to being the “fastest man alive.” Beyond the tri-tone paint job and other unique touches, this bike is loaded with premium components, including an adjustable windshield, Powerband Audio system and five different Rider Assist features. Oh, and there’s plenty of get-up-and-go, courtesy of the PowerPlus 112 engine, which delivers 126 horsepower and 133 ft-lbs of torque.

A rare beast — only 250 units will be produced — the 2025 Pursuit Elite draws its aesthetic inspiration from the 1916 production of 20,000 PowerPlus motorcycles for the U.S. Army. Along with that shimmering tri-tone paint job, the bike fittingly features the recently introduced PowerPlus 112 engine, which puts out a pulse-pounding 126 horsepower and 133 ft-lbs of torque. It also boasts luxurious seating and state-of-the-art lighting, audio and safety-boosting Rider Assist tech.

Triumph builds on the success of last year’s Trident Triple Tribute Special Edition with this racing-styled model year 2026 update, which honors ‘Slippery Sam,’ a legendary Trident that won five consecutive Isle of Man TTs in the early ’70s. It’s not just about looks, though. In addition to a 660cc engine making 80 horsepower and 47 ft-lb of torque at 6,250 rpm, this affordable roadster boasts a number of rider-focused upgrades. Highlights include a new Sport riding mode, optimized cornering ABS, traction control and Triumph Shift Assist, which enables easy-breezy clutchless gear changes.

It’s important to note that, while this change might seem worrisome to those who appreciate the durability and styling of traditional nylon, the brand has assured customers that nothing substantive has changed.

The only edge (pardon the pun) that S35VN has on MagnaCut is probably price. While the MagnaCut version of this knife is normally $310, the S35VN one is $177. That $133 price bump might be enough for some to avoid this new version.
However, if you can swing the admittedly high price, the MagnaCut version of this knife will outperform any other version. That’s especially true if you’re putting it through its paces via hard cutting tasks.

Plenty else to love
The only swap for this new version is the blade steel. Everything else that makes the Recon 1 a formidable folder remains, which is very good.
That includes its beefy, tactical-friendly size — the knife measures a whopping 9.375 inches, of which 4.0 inches are made up by the clip point blade. It also weighs 5.2 ounces, which is fairly heavy but within the realm of acceptability.

When it comes to ultra-affordable, reliable watches, virtually no brands hold a candle to Casio (Timex perhaps being the closest comparison). However, the Japanese outfit has also proven time and time again that inexpensive doesn’t necessarily mean cheap.
As if anyone needed further proof, the brand has just announced the impending launch of the Casio AQ-S820W watches. A handsome evolution of the longtime AQ series, these incredibly budget-friendly timepieces pack a ton of value.

A style all its own
The original watches in this series date back decades. However, the older models closely resembled another of Casio’s offerings: G-Shock. Models like the AQS810W-1A4V looked almost identical to those of Casio’s ultra-tough sub-brand.
These new offerings, by contrast, are much more toned-down, lacking the chunky cases of their G-Shock cousins. That bodes quite well for this series, as it allows the watches to shine independently without the obvious comparisons.
It’s important to note that, despite their stylistic differences, these are still very large watches. The cases measure a whopping 52.5 millimeters — large by anyone’s standards.

One recurring issue has popped up for folks who own the TPT Slide: The process of swapping the insert or razor blade for a new one was kind of janky. It was the one major downside in an otherwise excellent EDC offering.
Luckily, that downside has been rectified in the TPT Slide EZ Swap edition. The addition of the EZ Swap mechanism has eliminated the frustration of the original, making changing out the blade far quicker and less frustrating.

Going through changes
Let’s start with the good news: the standard version of the Dozier Folding Hunter (which has D2 steel) still exists and is available in several different colorways. This upgrade hasn’t replaced it, but it does offer a more upscale, high-performing option for those who want it.
As mentioned, the only real difference between the standard and this new version is that the steel has been swapped out for S35VN. The blade is still a drop-point shape, measuring 3.0 inches in length, and it comes with a black finish (which isn’t exclusive to this version).
It’s worth noting that this steel swap is a significant upgrade over the original. While D2 is a great all-around budget-friendly steel, S35VN outperforms it in nearly every way. It’s especially beloved for its edge retention and corrosion resistance.

Back in 1977, Nivada Grenchen shook up the watch world with the release of the F77, one of the first watches to embrace the “sport-chic” trend. The elegant sports watch featured an octoganol bezel and integrated steel bracelet, and stood out for its alternating brushed and smooth surfaces, as well as its unique design.
Nivada Grenchen, in partnership with Guillaume Laidet, brought the F77 back in 2023, and after the massive success of its reissue, has now announced the F77 Mark II, which builds upon the success of the popular timepiece.
The F77 Mark II’s most prominent design update is its thinner case, which suits a variety of wrists and will appeal to collectors and enthusiasts, who have been clamoring for such an update. The F77 Mark II has been slimmed down to a thickness of 12.2mm.
Additional updates include a redesigned integrated bracelet, which features better ergonomics; the lugs have more bend now, to better fit the wrist. The updated bracelet can be swapped out for a Fabric Velcro or flat Rubber Delugs strap, for a more casual look.
Also new for this edition, the F77 Mark II is crafted with 316L steel with 18K yellow gold plating (7 microns), creating an eye-catching look. This past week, Insta360 revealed its new flagship 360-degree action camera, Nomad introduced a super cool (and rare) Apple Watch accessory, and Bowers & Wilkins announced new wireless noise-canceling headphones. But that’s just scratching the surface.

Insta360 X5
The Insta360 X5 is the company’s flagship 360-degree action camera for 2025. Compared to its predecessor, the 2024-released X4, the X5 has a similar design but features larger 1/1.28-inch sensors and promises better image quality with improved low-light performance. It also supports more shooting modes, including an InstaFrame mode that allows it to shoot regular and 360-degree videos simultaneously. The other significant upgrade is that the scratch-resistant lenses are now replaceable, so you won’t have to buy an entirely new camera should a lens get damaged.

Nomad Rocky Point Band (Icy Blue Glow)
Nomad’s popular rugged Apple Watch strap, the Rocky Point Band, is available in a limited-edition glow-in-the-dark colorway. It’s different from the brand’s other bands that harness the power of photoluminescence because it’s in an Icy glow finish, which promises to get three times as bright at night. It’s designed to fit the Ultra and Ultra 2, but Nomad says it can also fit any current or past Apple Watch in the Series or SE lines. It might be a tad bulky.

You can purchase it with a variety of accessories, too, including wireless rear-channel speakers and two wireless mics for karaoke.

Nothing’s budget-friendly brand, CMF, will officially announce its next-gen smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, on August 28th. However, ahead of that date, it’s been teasing various details about it, including the fact that it’ll have the same dual 50-megapixel camera system as the Nothing’s $379 Phone (3a) … but the Phone 2 Pro is expected to be significantly cheaper. Now the brand has revealed what the smartphone will look like, which is similar to its first smartphone, the Phone 1, but with a two-tone design.

Slate’s homepage offers an interesting interactive graphic showing how the dimensions of the truck compare to modern day trucks like the Chevy Silverado EV and Ford Maverick, as well as the 1985 Toyota SR5 Pickup.
As the graphic shows, the Slate Truck is much smaller than the Maverick, which currently stands as one of the smallest modern trucks on the market. It’s still slightly larger than the classic Toyota from the 80s.
The message from the module is clear – modern-day trucks have grown to be enormous, and there was once a time when excellent pickups were much smaller.
I couldn’t agree more with the sentiment. Bigger isn’t inherently better. But there’s also a reason why small pickups, and compact cars more generally, have steadily disappeared from the market: a lack of buyer demand.
Slate Auto
Lengthwise, at nearly 175 inches, the Slate truck is just an inch longer than the 2025 Chevy Trailblazer or 5 inches longer than the Land-Rover Defender 90, so it’s not exactly a micro-car.
Still, it’s significantly smaller than the other compact trucks on the American market. The Ford Maverick is nearly two feet longer than the Slate, while Hyundai’s odd Santa Cruise is over 20 inches longer. Both also have room for four passengers instead of the Slate’s two.

Admittedly, the new addition’s name (CJRB Pyrite-Light J1945) doesn’t do it justice. So what’s different about this version when compared to others?
For starters, it’s a member of the Light sub-lineup, meaning it’s much lighter than its standard siblings — 2.86 ounces, in fact. This is largely due to its fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle scales.
However, that’s not the only thing this knife has going for it. The most interesting swap is probably its Wharncliffe blade material. While its siblings get the brand’s proprietary AR-RPM9 steel (similar to D2), this knife gets S90V.

Abraham-Louis Breguet was Swiss but lived in France for most of his life. In 1797, he established a clockworks company in Paris, known at first as Quai de l’Horloge, before it took on the inventor’s name in subsequent generations.
He is best known for inventing the tourbillon in 1801, but before that, he pretty much invented the modern watch industry through a series of brilliant engineering and marketing innovations.

At first, Breguet’s workshop operated in the traditional manner, taking commissions as they came. But in 1793, the French Revolution upended societal order and Breguet fled to his native Switzerland until 1795.
While back in the heartland of horological engineering, Breguet devised a method to sustain his business by creating more affordable watches and an easier way to pay for them. Clients could pay a quarter of the price upfront, giving the workshop capital to operate. Breguet called the system Souscription, which is the root for subscription in English.

Obviously, the Blackjack is a solid money clip, capable of holding a stack of bills, a bundle of credit cards, or some combination thereof. But that’s just one of its many strengths.
Hidden within its small frame is a 1.18-inch folding blade with enough edge to handle most EDC cutting tasks. Furthermore, the blade boasts a trio of perforations to reduce cutting friction, making it even more user-friendly.
But that’s just one of its several bonus features. The Blackjack also has an integrated bottle opener and flathead driver and functions as a pry bar. That’s a lot of capabilities in such a compact tool.

At launch, the Birkenstock Boston Nova is offered in Black, Pine Green and Basalt Gray, though it’s somewhat surprising that a lighter tan or Khaki option is also excluded.
Given Nova’s city-limit-pushing aspirations, it also makes sense that the brand’s more grippy “Birkengrip” EVA midsole and rubber outsole are employed on this shoe.
While the differences between the Nova and classic Boston will naturally get all the attention, it’s worth mentioning what has remained the same.
The new sandal is still made in Germany and features the classic suede footbed lining that quickly molds to your feet, though the brand’s newer “soft” footbed option doesn’t appear to be available at launch. It’s also only sold in regular/wide sizes for now, but a narrower option might be added down the road.

At 47mm, this automatic flyback Panerai diver is a beefy watch, but it needs all that space for its bevy of military-inspired features and design cues. For instance, along with its rotating dive bezel and chronograph functionality, it has a “Time to Target” countdown function. It’s also good for a whopping 500 meters of dive depth, making this a real ocean-going contender. Furthermore, purchasing the watch grants you access to a three-day experience in the Italian Navy.

Although not as alluring as the brand’s bladed tools, this Gerber keychain carabiner might actually be more useful for EDC. It boasts a handy three-chamber design — one solid ring, a second gated one, and the primary chamber — to keep your keychain gear organized and secure. It also boasts multi-tool functionality in the form of a package and bottle opener. Perhaps its most enticing feature, however, is its extremely low price.

Chobia made a splash in the cigar world back in 2023 with the release of its new Riviera collection, which was the first offering from the brand to feature a San Andrés wrapper and box-pressed format. Since then, various entries in the medium-to-full-bodied collection, made from four-leaf filler from Honduras’ and Nicaragua, have racked up awards, including Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2024. Now, the brand has added a tubo version – i.e., an individually wrapped edition sealed in a plastic tube for freshness and protection on the go.
