This Stunning, Small, Minimalist EDC Knife Is Not One to Overlook

While the Lookout measures 6.2 inches long (pretty compact for a fixed blade), the Outlook is just a hair longer at 6.25 inches long. That means their blade lengths are similarly comparative, with the former measuring 2.2 inches and the latter clocking in at 2.62.

Most wonderfully, the Outlook retains its fixed-blade sibling’s blade steel: Böhler M390. That’s a major boon for fans of the original and anyone who understands the overall value and performance of this super steel.

Neat, discreet, can’t be beat

Of course, there have to be numerous differences between this knife and its inspiration. Otherwise, it wouldn’t actually be new, nor would it be a folder.

The handle is titanium — another shared element between this knife and the Ti Lookout (the original was also offered with Ultem, wood and G10 scales). However, it now has an integrated frame lock to keep it safe and secure when deployed.

This Iconic Chronograph Is a Vintage Watch Collector’s Dream Come True

A starry watch

A unique design that Nivada Grenchen created specifically to house this special movement adds an extra layer of intrigue to this already highly covetable limited edition watch.

a blue Nivada Grenchen watch
The speckled dial texture and world time bezel are both new to the Chronomaster Broad Arrow.
Nivada Grenchen

It has a navy blue dial splattered with white specks, as if a paintbrush were flicked at a wall, creating the look of an unobscured starry night sky. The same texture covers a world time bezel, another novel addition to this iconic chronograph.

The Holy Grail for all watch collectors, aside from some patina enthusiasts, is an untouched vintage reference that has sat in storage for decades. The Chronomaster Broad Arrow Valjoux 23 is the next best thing, offering a body and engine straight from 1963, but in brand-new condition.

Availability and pricing

The Nivada Grenchen Chromomaster Broad Arrow Valjoux 23 is available now from Nivada Grenchen for $5,000, but supplies are going fast.

The watches are shipping out in two waves, with the first 13 of each reference going out in July, and the remaining 12 in September.

This Is the EDC Knife Samurai Might Carry if They Had Access to Modern Craftsmanship

Even traditional samurai swords wouldn’t outperform these blade steels — such is the benefit of modern engineering.

Depending on your chosen configuration, the blade is made from either ZDP-189 or Böhler M390, exceptional super steels that perform magnificently. Even traditional samurai swords wouldn’t outperform these blade steels — such is the benefit of modern engineering.

Regardless of which you choose, the blades are mated to titanium handle scales — again, far more durable and rugged than traditional options. However, two have frame locks, while the third has a liner lock.

Depending on your chosen version, these Chops come with a frame or liner lock, but they all have titanium scales.

A sharp trio

These EDC knives are special beyond their connection to Japanese samurai weaponry. They also boast some stylistic uniqueness courtesy of Tyler Anderson (@shiny_edc), the artist who worked on them.

All three versions come with unique Cerakote coatings. Two (in green and blue) get distressed paint jobs, like they’ve been worn out. Another two have a spare ombré-like fade.

This Underrated Diver Chronograph Is Now One of the Best Affordable Daily Watches

The sub-dial at ten o’clock is a 30-minute counter, and the sub-dial at two o’clock is a 12-hour counter. Running seconds are displayed at six o’clock and there is a date window at four o’clock.

The hour hand, minute hand and applied hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova.

Tissot emphasized variety with the color selections for the six-piece collection launch.

The all white color comes with a silicone strap.
Tissot

With a silicone strap, there is an all white dial and bezel, a gilded case with turquoise bezel and radial dial, and an all black dial, bezel and case.

There is also a three-link steel bracelet that comes in the same all-black design, as well as a black bezel and sunburst gray dial and a two-tone version with a black dial and sunburst gray dial.

All six colors, especially the black and steel option, make excellent daily watches or vacation beaters that offer all the water resistance you will ever need for under $600.

Unimatic x Massena LAB UT4-SPT ‘NASA Artemis II’

Unimatic and Massena LAB have reunited for a second watch inspired by the NASA Artemis II mission to the moon, scheduled for April 2026. This time, it is an updated version of Unimatic’s U1-SP NASA watch from 2019 with the same Cerakote case and matching orange nylon strap from the first Artemis watch. It runs on a Seiko-made quartz movement, boasts 300m water resistance and comes with a matching orange NASA-themed pouch.

Lego Nike Dunk setLego

Nike Dunk x Lego Set

After announcing a multi-year partnership in August of 2024, Lego and Nike finally reveal the first fruits of their highly anticipated collab. The first drop includes a cobranded Nike Air Max Dn, colored in yellow to match Lego’s classic minifigures, as well as a buildable 1,180-piece Nike Dunk set. The latter is available for preorder with shipping starting in July.

Dab Motors 1 Alpha Akira Electric MotorcycleDab Motors

Dab Motors 1α ‘Akira’ Electric Motorcycle

There have been a lot of Akira-inspired concept bikes over the years, but this might be the first one you could actually own and ride. Created in collaboration with Vita Veloce Team, this is actually a 3D-printed, hand-built project that was completed in just three weeks. While info is scarce, it appears to be an upgrade kit for Dab’s flagship 1α bike, which means it’s all-electric and potentially boasts 31 horsepower, 395 NM of torque and almost 100 miles of range per charge. While we can’t reasonably recommend you try it, that should be more than enough to pull off the iconic Akira slide. Per the brand, pre-orders are coming soon.

Soundcore P41i wireless earbudsAnker

Anker Soundcore P41i

The Soundcore P41i are wireless earbuds with active noise-cancellation. The earbuds are stem-shaped and thus promise to fit similarly to Apple’s AirPods 4. However, the most notable feature of these earbuds is their charging case. It doubles as a 3,000mAh portable power bank for your smartphone. It comes with an integrated USB-C cable (featuring a Lightning adapter nestled within its lid) and the case features a built-in display that displays battery and charging information. It’s available in the UK for £90. US pricing and availability have yet to be announced.

Satechi FindAll CollectionSatechi

Satechi FindAll Collection

Satechi has added four products to its FindAll collection — all of which are integrated with Apple’s Find My technology and thus work similarly to an AirTag. The new additions consist of a keychain, luggage tag, card (shaped like a credit card), and an eyeglass case. All products can be recharged wirelessly using a Qi, Qi2 or MagSafe charging. And all come in three finishes: black, white or desert rose.

Deuter

Deuter Speed Lite Pro 30

This fast and light hiking pack is somehow both streamlined and feature loaded. The seemingly unfussy exterior sneakily integrates ice axe/trekking pole loops, a separate quick-release pole attachment, soft flask and water bottle slots, a generous lid compartment, a shoulder strap pocket and hip pockets. (A handy mesh helmet holder can be purchased separately for $20.) The pack also offers perforated shoulder straps, a sternum strap and Deuter’s LiteAir back system for a comfortable, breathable carry (and there’s even a 28L version with a women’s specific fit). No wonder it won an ISPO award.

Asics May Have Just Dropped the Best Affordable Hiking Sandal of the Summer

Gorpcore is dead. Long live dadcore! Okay, maybe that’s a bit of an overreach. It might be more accurate to say that the two trends have finally fully collided in Asics’ new Gel-Filimy hiking sandal.

Whether you love or loathe its rather … distinguished looks, the fact remains that this might be the best affordable outdoor footwear of the summer.

Asics Gel-Filimy Hiking Sandals profile
The Gel-Filimy’s chunky, grippy outsole and breathable mesh upper are perfect for warm-weather adventures.
Asics

Gellin’ like Magellan

First and foremost, the Gel-Filimy is an adventure shoe, despite some outlets trying to sell it as a fashion item. Need proof? Just look at how it’s built.

The outsole is unmistakably hiking-friendly, equipped with deep, grippy treads ideal for all-terrain trekking. Even the styling on the sides, which is made to look topographical, screams, “Wear these at the campsite!”

That extends to the closure system. Instead of going with classic laces, these feature an adjustable “belt-like” system made for security, durability and adjustability.

Adidas Just Elevated Its Iconic Sandal to Prodigious Heights

Adidas dropped the original Adilette slide back in 1972. The minimalist slip-on sandal, defined by its molded “bandage” EVA upper, was originally developed as a shower shoe to help prevent the spread of athletes foot.

It was soft, cushy, and easy to slip on and off hands-free. It was also waterproof, quick-drying, and very cheap for Adidas footwear.

As such, it’s no surprise that the Adilette was an immediate hit for Adidas and was soon embraced far outside the locker room by athletes who appreciated the sandal’s comfort and relaxed fit.

Today, Adidas makes countless iterations of the Adilette tuned for everything from hanging by the pool and, yes, still showering,

However, a new collaborative iteration of the slide, made in partnership with the menswear brand Wales Bonner, finally brings a level of luxury to the sandal design that at least some subsets of the fashion world have wanted for years.

A True Gucci Rival

A pair of Wales Bonner Adidas Adilette slides sandals in brown shown from above. Adidas

Gucci famously ripped off the Adilette over a decade ago and transformed it into a luxury staple by hand-making it in Italy and charging a small fortune.

Sun Day Red Pioneer Magnolia golf shoe worn by two models on putting greenSun Day Red

Sun Day Red Pioneer Magnolia

Tiger Woods’s brand, Sun Day Red, is hitting the links once again with a golf shoe that combines old-school styling with modern engineering precision. Crafted with a full-grain leather upper — done up to look like a classic wingtip — this shoe sits on a proprietary EVA foam insole (with a 6mm drop), high-density TPU full-ground contact plate and 9-cleat configuration with removable Pulsar Soft Spikes. The shoe also comes with two sets of premium laces, two kinds of removable insoles and a blucher throat construction for added comfort and adjustability.

nemo stargaze evo-xNEMO Equipment

NEMO Stargaze EVO-X

New England Mountain Outfitters (NEMO for short) made its unique, award-winning camp chair more approachable and affordable by swapping some materials but also improved its ease of use; the body-cradling rocker now boasts a folding X-style frame that deploys in seconds. Extra cushioning at pressure points, a padded headrest and flexible back support boost comfort, while tensioned straps let you recline deeply and quite literally gaze up at the stars. The EVO-X also packs two integrated cupholders for drinks or personal essentials and a carrying case with adjustable shoulder strap. As for the material swaps? The new chair’s frame is steel rather than aluminum, which adds roughly six pounds to its heft, and the seat is full fabric rather than a more breathable fabric and mesh. But hey, it’s also $70 cheaper and perfect for outdoor outings where weight is not a big concern.

Dyson Cool CF1 bladeless fanDyson

Dyson Cool CF1

The Dyson Cool, the company’s iconic circular, bladeless tabletop fan, was released in 2008. And while the company has introduced numerous other bladeless fans over the last 16 years, it hadn’t updated the original … until now. The Dyson Cool CF1 is the new and improved version. It doesn’t mess too much with success, as it has basically the same design and power as its predecessor, but it packs several modern improvements. It features an improved digital LCD display, additional fan speeds and oscillation options, as well as a new sleep mode. It’s currently only available in the UK, but is expected to be released in the US by early 2026.

a steel watch with a green dialLeica

Leica ZM1 Urban Green

After introducing its first watches in 2022, Leica is expanding the collection with two new dial colors and strap options for its original models, the ZM1 and ZM2. Both watches now come with a sunburst green dial that fades to a black rim called Urban Green. In coordination with the new dial color, a black leather pin-buckle strap with a green lining and accent stitching is available. Additionally, two steel Milanese mesh straps are available, one in brushed steel and one in black PVD. The ZM1 and ZM2 in Urban Green are only available at Leica boutiques.

TCL party speakersTCL

TCL TP200K and TP300K Party Speakers

TCL’s TP200K and TP300K are the brand’s first entries into the party speaker category. They’re large portable Bluetooth speakers with built-in lighting and inputs for microphones and instruments. The TP200K is the smaller of the two, featuring four drivers and delivering a total power output of 220 watts. The larger TP300K has a similar driver array (albeit with larger woofers) and is capable of outputting up to 340 watts. The two speakers are roughly 31 and 35 pounds, respectively.

This Is One of the Most Refined EDC Knives Cold Steel Has Ever Made

Due to its long cutting belly, the blade is a great all-purpose cutter, especially for jobs where long, steady slices are required, like preparing food or (everyone’s favorite) opening packages. The curve of the handle also offers good ergonomics and helps prevent slips.

The Black Sable has a sturdy back lock, as is typical with Cold Steel knives.
Cold Steel

Dangerous curves ahead

Style is one thing, but making a good EDC knife takes a lot more. Thankfully, interested parties will be happy to know Cold Steel didn’t skimp on materials, either.

The Black Sable’s curved blade — technically a tanto, which is somewhat unusual — is XHP steel, which is kind of like D2 on steroids. It offers excellent hardness, wear resistance and solid edge retention. Plus, it gets a PVC coating that adds even more durability and corrosion resistance.

The handle, however, might be the most interesting part of the knife. It has a steel bolster and, below it, scales made from forged carbon fiber. This material offers excellent grip and durability while remaining lightweight, and it also adds some depth and character to the knife’s appearance.

However, they also share some functional similarities. Like traditional Higonokamis, the Cobol is a non-locking folder. However, unlike Higos, it is not a friction folder.

Instead, the Cobol utilizes a Ball Joint Non-Locking Mechanism, which is kind of like a combination of a slip joint and a friction folder, using a combination of its joint and hand pressure to ensure the blade remains securely deployed.

You can see the Ball Joint Non-Locking Mechanism in the handle above.
Spyderco

A modern marvel with samurai style

While the Cobol’s inspiration reaches back hundreds (if not thousands) of years, it is a thoroughly modern knife, materially speaking. It measures 8.25 inches overall, with a 3.63-inch blade and 4.77-inch handle.

The katana-inspired tanto blade is built from Böhler M390 steel, one of the most popular and reliable super steels on the market. While it features Spyderco’s signature Round Hole deployment, it also has a front flipper option.

This MagnaCut and Titanium Flipper EDC Knife Is Unbelievably Lightweight

Everyday carry has been and always will be a game of compromises. Users must be willing to find a balance between materials, weight, size, cost, and so on to find a loadout that works for them. This is especially true when it comes to pocket knives.

One of the toughest trade-offs is usually between lightness and toughness, with more robust and high-quality knives typically weighing more. However, the folks at Avian Knives may have done the impossible with the Avian Knives Topaza V1.

For a fully featured and all-metal knife, it’s remarkably lightweight.

At 7.72 inches long, this knife is right in the everyday carry sweet spot.
Avian Knives

Built to thrill

To better understand how magnificent this knife truly is, you first need to understand its construction and mechanisms.

For instance, its 3.228-inch blade is MagnaCut steel (with the option for a black finish). Unless you’re brand-spanking-new to the EDC world, you’ve probably already familiarized yourself with this material, as it’s one of the most popular super steels available.

Are Your Valuables Truly Protected in a Worst-Case Scenario?

master lock safe with door open sitting on shelf in closetMaster Lock

Torch, soak and smash the new Master Lock Premium 2-Hour Fire and Water Resistant Safe in our interactive “test booth.”

Investing in a safe generally isn’t top of mind unless there’s a catalyst: a burglary in your neighborhood, a fire in a nearby town or the acquisition of an expensive item that needs a safe home (watch collectors, we’re looking at you).

So, rather than let you wait for motivation in the form of a real-life close call, we teamed up with Master Lock to give you a digital nudge.

Step into our interactive “test booth” to see for yourself how the brand’s new line of Premium 2-Hour Fire and Water Resistant Safes stand up to multiple worst-case scenarios. Then, read on to learn more about how they’re designed to help you prepare for whatever comes your way.

Meet the Premium 2-Hour Fire and Water Resistant Safes

The most advanced line of premium safes from Master Lock to date comes with a robust feature set that will defend your valuables, no questions asked. The smallest safe has 0.81 cubic feet of storage, perfect for storing jewelry, paperwork or other small items, while the largest option contains 2 cubic feet of storage, ideal for electronics and other larger valuables.

Two midsized options, each with 1.19 cubic feet of storage, are also available: one with a dual-key combination lock and the other featuring a dual-key programmable digital code lock.

Every safe in the collection is engineered with durable, high-grade steel and high-security locking bolts engineered to withstand extreme conditions.

Setting the bar and deterring the flame

The type of safe you buy matters, so it’s important to look for a recognized certification label. The new line from Master Lock goes above and beyond for unparalleled protection: Each of the safes in this line are UL Certified, which indicates the safe’s fire resistance rating — including the duration of protection and the maximum internal temperature it can withstand during a fire. The 2-Hour Fire and Water Resistant Safes will keep your valuables protected from the flames for up to two hours, at temperatures as high as 1850° F.

Water is a key element in firefighting efforts and a major contributor to damage and loss in the event of a fire. That’s why Master Lock constructed the safes to meet ETL Verified water protection standards. This means they’ve been third-party tested by Intertek, a leading testing and certification company, to meet specific water resistance claims.

In real-world terms, the safes can can resist up to five inches of standing water for 24 hours, and larger models up to eight inches; in the event of a fire, your safe will protect your possessions during firefighting efforts.

Finally, the safes are designed to withstand falls from as high as 15 feet, and the door will remain closed even upon impact. Why does that matter for a safe, you ask? In the event of a fire, the floor system below your safe could fail, leading to a fall that could potentially damage a less-durable option.

High-end construction and design

Not all safes are created equal. A product may claim to be fireproof, but there’s a big difference between being fireproof for 10 minutes at 600° and fireproof for two hours at 1850°F.  That’s where the Master Lock Premium 2-Hour Fire and Water Resistant Safes stand out: These are built with high-grade steel to safeguard possessions over decades of service, and the included bolt-down hardware helps keep your safe exactly where you want it, further enhancing its fire and water protection. To provide even more protection, each safe in this collection is equipped with a pry-resistant hinge bar.

As a design bonus, the safes are outfitted with interior organization including features like a key rack, door tray, deep door pocket and adjustable tray (features vary by model). Finally, each safe includes a dual key system, allowing users to disable the primary lock, even if others know the combination or access code.

If you want to protect your most important possessions from the unthinkable, the new Master Lock premium safes are up to the task.

Another week down, and, per usual, a bunch of new tech and gadgets have been announced.

This past week, Marshall announced its first-ever soundbar, Fujifilm unveiled a compact digital camera designed to “mimic the experience of shooting on film,” and JBL unleashed its flagship audiophile-grade loudspeakers. But that’s just scratching the surface.

Below, we’ve rounded up all the most interesting new releases and announcements you might have missed from the past week.

Fujifilm X Half camera in handsFujifilm

Fujifilm X Half

An entirely digital camera, the Fujifilm X Half is designed to mimic the experience of shooting on film, down to its manual film advance lever. It’s a fixed-lens camera with an 8.8 x 11.3mm sensor (essentially a 3:4 crop, like shooting half a frame of 135 film) with numerous built-in film modes, an image diptych feature (meaning you can combine two images into one side-by-side image), a video mode good for up to 1080/24 footage at up to 50Mbps and more. In the words of Richard Butler, who reviewed it over at our sister site DPR Review, it’s “objectively, a profoundly silly camera” — but that might be precisely what you’re looking for.

Marshall Heston 120 soundbarMarshall

Marshall Heston 120

The Heston 120 is Marshall’s first-ever soundbar. It’s a standalone wireless 5.1.2-channel soundbar that supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive sound technologies. It packs 11 total drivers — including up-firing and side-firing drivers — each powered by its own Class D amplifier. It supports music streaming over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. And, of course, Marshall gave it its signature rock ‘n’ roll flair, as the Heston 120 features knurled metal knobs, brass accents, and a wrapped leather trim — all of which are inspired by the brand’s iconic amps.

Marantz AV 20Marantz

Marantz AV 20

The Marantz AV 20 is part of the Japanese audio maker’s new series of reference-quality home theater separates. It’s a preamplifier and processor that’s designed to work in tandem with the brand’s AMP 20 power amp. The AV 20 handles everything except the amplification, and is packed with most of the modern technologies you’d want in an elite home theater system. Together, the system is designed as a middle ground between the Marantz Cinema 30 ($4,500), the brand’s all-in-one AV receiver, and its flagship AV 10 ($7,000) and AMP 10 ($7,000).

Marantz Amp 20Marantz

Marantz AMP 20

The Marantz AMP 20 is a power amplifier that’s designed to work with the company’s AV 20, a preamplifier and processor. Together, the home theater separates can deliver a 13.4-channel surround system that’s capable of delivering 200 watts per channel (for 12 channels). The AMP 20 is essentially a slight step-down from the company’s flagship AMP 10 ($7,000).

Cabasse La Sphere Evo loudspeakersCabasse

Cabasse La Sphere Evo

Cabasse’s La Sphere Evo is a super high-end wireless active speaker system. The “Evo” is essentially a smaller and more affordable version of the French audio maker’s La Sphere, as each loudspeaker is built around its proprietary tri-coaxial (TCA) driver system. As with most modern active speaker systems, the Evo supports a wide range of wireless streaming abilities and wired connections (including HDMI eARC).

ELAC ConneX DBC61 powered speakersELAC

ELAC ConneX DBC61

The ELAC ConneX DBC61 is a powered desktop speaker system that, in a nutshell, is a bigger and better-sounding version of its popular ConneX DBC41 ($699). The system pairs one active and one passive speaker together — the active (or primary) speaker houses the amplification and wired connections for both. Like its smaller brethren, the ConneX DBC61 is highly versatile. You can use them as desktop speakers (via a USB connection), TV speakers (via HDMI ARC) or just stream audio from your smartphone (thanks to built-in Bluetooth). They also have a built-in phono preamp (switchable), allowing you to use them with a wide variety of turntables.

Onn 4K PlusWalmart

Onn 4K Plus

Walmart has begun selling the Onn 4K Plus, a Google TV streaming box designed for 4K TVs — it’s effectively designed as a replacement for your old Chromecast. Compared to the more entry-level Onn 4K model, the “Plus” model features a faster processor, support for Dolby Vision HDR, and uses USB-C as a power source (instead of micro-USB). Additionally, it comes with a voice remote. It also costs just $30, which is $10 more than the Onn 4K.

Rode NTH-50 headphonesRode

Rode NTH-50

The Rode NTH-50 is the Australian audio maker’s most affordable pair of headphones. They are on-ear, closed-back headphones with custom 40mm drivers, designed for DJs, sound engineers, and audiophiles on a budget. They cost just $99.

Miniot Wheel 3 turntableMiniot

Miniot Wheel 3

The Miniot Wheel 3 is the third-generation vertical turntable from the small Dutch company. Like its predecessors, it flips conventional turntable wisdom on its head, as the tonearm is hidden on the inside and features an optical sensor (similar to a CD player) instead of a stylus. However, Wheel 3 differs from its predecessors in that it features a slimmed-down design and upgraded all-around components.

Twelve South PowerCordTwelve South

Twelve South PowerCord

Twelve South’s PowerCord is an all-in-one charging solution for your USB-C devices. It’s a slim, braided USB-C charging cable with an integrated 30-watt power adapter that’s designed to charge your smartphone, camera, laptop, and other everyday electronics. It’s available in two lengths (4ft and 10ft) and two colors (Slate and White Dune).

JBL Summit MakaluJBL

JBL Summit Makalu

The Makalu — named after the world’s fifth-highest mountain — is the biggest and most expensive speaker in the company’s elite Summit Series. It’s a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker similar to the company’s Pumori, as it features near identical drivers, but the Makalu is a bigger and more powerful loudspeaker. It represents the pinnacle of what JBL can achieve in a loudspeaker.

JBL Summit PumoriJBL

JBL Summit Pumori

The Pumori — named after Mount Pumori, which is nicknamed “Daughter of Everest” due to its location just eight kilometres west of the world’s highest peak — is a three-way floor-standing loudspeaker in the company’s elite Summit Series. Yet, it remains slightly smaller and more affordable than the Makalu. It features a three-way design and shares the same 8-inch midrange driver, but the Makali has a slightly larger woofer (12 inches versus the Pumori’s 10 inches). Like the other loudspeakers in the series, it features JBL’s proprietary driver and crossover technologies, and is housed in a gorgeous, meticulously crafted cabinet.

JBL Summit AmaJBL

JBL Summit Ama

The Ama is the smallest loudspeaker in JBL’s Summit Series, which are the company’s most high-end loudspeakers. The Ama is a two-way stand-mounted loudspeaker that is named after Ama Dablam, a famous peak in the Himalayas. It features a nearly identical woofer and tweeter combo as in the Pumori (its larger sibling), but lacks a dedicated midrange driver. Each speaker features several of the brand’s proprietary driver and crossover technologies, is housed in a gorgeous handcrafted cabinet, and comes in two luxurious finishes: black or ebony veneer.

OWC Thunderbolt 5 DockOWC

OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dock

The OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dock is a high-end docking station designed for power users. It features 11 total ports, with the standouts including three Thunderbolt 5 ports, three USB-A ports, microSD and SD card slots, and a headphone jack. It supports 140 watts of passthrough power and, when connected to a Mac, can power two 6K external displays.

Nomad 100W Slim Power AdapterNomad

Nomad 100W Slim Power Adapter

Nomad’s 100-watt Slim Power Adapter is a more powerful version of its previous 35-watt and 65-watt options. It features GaN technology, which enables a slim adapter to deliver sufficient power to charge the latest MacBook Pros. It features dual USB-C ports that, when used together, can deliver 70- and 30-watt power, allowing you to charge two devices simultaneously. And its folding prongs make for a more travel-friendly design.

Some weeks are quite on the everyday carry front. This week has not been one of them.

Numerous bombshell releases have launched, including things like Knafs’ first-ever in-house knife, a MagnaCut version of Gerber’s best folder, a comic book-inspired WESN collab, and a gorgeous backcountry beast from New West Knifeworks.

If you missed any of these, run, don’t walk, to check them out below.

To catch up on other notable knives and multi-tools, check out our rolling roundup of the best new knives and EDC releases of 2025.

Noc Knives MT-30Knife Center

Noc Knives MT-30

A cursory glance at the specs will tell you that Noc Knives’ minimalist MT-30 is a pretty exceptional knife. It boasts Böhler M390 steel for its clip point blade and a frame lock handle with titanium scales and varying material inlays. However, its superpower lies in its customization. Those scales are magnetically attached, meaning they’ll remain secure in use (and in your pocket) but they can be swapped at a moment’s notice. This might be the most easily customized knife we’ve ever seen.

boker mek embedBöker

Böker Plus MEK

Developed in collaboration with a German hunting outfitter, the frill-free MEK is a minimalist masterpiece. However, despite its pared-down appearance, it’s still very much a fully-featured knife, boasting things like a fuller deployment, back lock, reversible pocket clip and more. Perhaps the most impressive thing about this knife, however, is its price: under $70.

Knafs Little Lulu KnifeKnafs

Knafs Little Lulu

While Knafs has already achieved cult-hit status in the EDC world, there’s still a lot of ground left to cover for the brand. For instance, in winter of 2024, the brand bought its first CNC machine after years of research and learning. The Little Lulu fixed blade is the culmination of all that hard work, and it is exceptional. This ultra-discreet knife measures only 5.2 inches but feels more robust and sturdy than some knives twice its size. It boasts a MagnaCut super steel blade, Micarta handle scales and a Kydex sheath.

the james brand barnes arctic storm embedThe James Brand

The James Brand The Barnes Arctic Storm + Stainless.

Since its launch in 2021, The Barnes has held steady as The James Brand’s flagship knife, thanks to its sterling combination of materials and construction, highlighted by a 3.5-inch Bohler M390 stainless steel blade and an integral frame lock CNC-machined from one solid billet of 6AL4V titanium. The addition of a Fatcarbon inlay only serves to make the knife even more dazzling. The Lithuanian brand’s key ingredient stands out here in a tempestuous black, grey and blue pattern that nonetheless retains TJB’s trademark class.

Cold Steel Recon 1 XLCold Steel

Cold Steel Recon 1 XL

This edition of Cold Steel’s most iconic tactical folding knife is not for the faint of heart, as it measures a whopping 12.25 inches long (with a 5.25-inch blade). A reissue from 2018, this version sports the same G10 handle scales and rock-solid Tri-Ad lock as its smaller siblings. It also gets a PVC-coated XHP blade — a hard-working, high-carbon, high-chromium, corrosion-resistant alloy.

Spyderco Smock Sprint Run Raw AluminumKnife Center

Spyderco Smock Sprint Run Raw Aluminum

Based on designer Kevin Smock’s SK23, Spyderco’s Smock has proven to be one of the knife brand’s oddest and most sought-after EDC knives. Recently, a blacked-out version was launched, and it quickly sold out. Now, select retailers are set to launch the knife’s most unique edition yet, equipped with a Cru-Wear super-steel blade and raw aluminum handle, which will undoubtedly sell out even quicker. If you hope to get one, signing up for the email launch lists is highly recommended.

gerber assert magnacut embedGerber

Gerber Assert MagnaCut

Gerber’s best pocket knife is so perfectly executed, it was a veritable shoo-in for the GP100 a couple of years ago. With a weight under 2 ounces, a crazy smooth crossbar lock and a 2.98-inch S30V steel blade, the USA-made folder instantly challenged the supremacy of Benchmade’s vaunted Bugout. Now, this higher-end Assert variant boasts a blade swap to MagnaCut super steel — so prized for its blend of edge retention, corrosion resistance and toughness — meaning Gerber’s best just got even better.

WESN The Cell Shaded Collection EDC Knives closeupWESN

WESN The Cell Shaded Collection EDC Knives

In collaboration with its local friends at Way of Knife, Michigan outfit WESN has given its two signature knives — the Allman and Microblade — a comic book-inspired redesign. Available in five distinct colors, these knives boast outlines and highlights that make them look cartoony. However, they retain their exceptional construction and materials, meaning this limited-edition styling comes entirely without sacrifice. Ka-Pow!

Kershaw Bel Air Clip Point EDC KnifeKershaw

Kershaw Bel Air Clip Point

The crossbar-locking Bel-Air was already one of Kershaw’s more exciting recent knife releases. But now, it swaps its refinement for a bit more aggression with this tactical-inspired redux. Its handle is swapped for OD green Micarta — an exceptionally stable, durable material — and its Magna Cut blade gets a new, more piercing-friendly clip point shape. The blade and pocket clip also get a stonewashed finish.

lionsteel twain damascus embedLionSteel

LionSteel Twain Damascus

Maniago, Italy-based LionSteel flashed this double-integral button-lock stunner at Blade Show last summer, subsequently launching it with MagnaCut steel and a variety of handles. Now it gets an even more luxurious treatment courtesy of a 3.15-inch Chad Nichols “scrambled” Damascus blade and a carbon fiber handle. Even more impressive than the look is the precision machining involved in getting the handle to synch perfectly with the titanium frame, as both are milled from blocks of their core material.

Case Limited Edition AT Diamond Case Trapper KnifeAppalachian Trail Conservancy

Case Limited Edition A.T. Diamond Case Trapper Knife

Case has built a limited-edition commemorative version of its trapper knife in celebration of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy’s 100th anniversary. With handle scales crafted from natural bone, a pair of blades made from Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel and unique laser engraving, it’s a stunning take on an already historically significant cutting tool. However, only 250 will ever be made.

New West KnifeWorks Outfitter 2.0 MagnaCut Edition

This update to NWKW’s flagship hunting knife boasts three major improvements over its esteemed predecessor while adding only $20 to the price. The most notable is an upgrade of the blade steel from S35VN to MagnaCut, which delivers unparalleled toughness, edge retention and corrosion resistance. The handle, meanwhile, is made of alternating layers of rubber and G10 to boost grip, even when wet. Lastly, a house-made Kydex sheath offers eight different carry positions, making it easy to mount to a belt or any other convenient location.

Vosteed Corgi V 295 EDC KnifeVosteed

Vosteed Corgi V 295

Now in its third iteration, Vosteed’s Corgi continues to get better and better. This new version, the V 295, is a bigger option more in line with typical pocket knives. It also gets a beautiful machined aluminum handle and an S35VN blade, but it retains its excellent deployments and signature pivot-based Vanchor Lock. There’s also a more budget-friendly version with G10 handle scales and an N690 steel blade.

Avian Knives Topaza V1Avian Knives

Avian Knives Topaza V1

Despite having an all-titanium handle and a MagnaCut super steel blade, this remarkably frame lock flipper weighs a mind-blowing 1.6 ounces. Typically, that’s a lightness only achieved by knives with synthetic handles, like G10. However, Avian Knives has done it by skeletonizing this one’s titanium scales to the nth degree. Despite its lightness, it’s still incredibly strong and full-sized, measuring 7.72 inches with a 3.228-inch blade.

This Smashing Minimalist Turntable Borrows from Arguably the Most Iconic Guitar of All Time

As Fender’s iconic electric guitars inspired it, it makes sense that the turntable’s construction would also be similar. In fact, beneath the lacquered finish, the plinth is alder wood, the same tonally sound hardwood Fender has employed in its guitar manufacturing endeavors for decades.

That construction ensures that vinyl records played on this turntable will be enhanced by the wood’s natural, warm, organic foundation. Of course, there’s more to a turntable than the plinth, but MoFi Electronics has that part covered, too.

The turntable’s plinth is crafted from alder wood, a tonally sound material used by Fender for decades in its guitars.

How the tables have turned

While the alder wood plinth is an outstanding base for the turntable’s hi-fi functionality, sound mechanics and electronics are also required. Thankfully, those (and more) are all present.

That starts with a USA-developed and custom-manufactured 10-inch tonearm equipped with ball bearings for smooth action and low friction operation. On the other end of its operational spectrum, it boasts reliable, high-quality, gold-plated RCA connectors.

Norwegian boutique watchmaker Micromilsepc teamed up with graphic design artist James Thompson, aka Black Badger, to create a bold version of the Milgraph titanium GMT. The indexes and hands are applied with X1-grade Super-LumiNova lume that glows an Ultramarine color in the dark. Accompanying the watch is a horological-themed anime called The Time Wars, “where time itself is controlled by the tyrannical Chrono Syndicate, ruled by the Grand Psycho and his associate The Crown Guard.” Each watch in the limited edition 75 run comes with a serial number-matching Zirconium and SuperLuminova dogtag in white and orange.

The Silverado EV Trail Boss features a 2.0-inch lift, red tow hooks and 35-inch all-terrain tire that don’t cut into its range. The truck offers up to 478 miles on its Max battery pack (up from 410 with the Extended battery).

TCL Flip 4 Phone

The TCL Flip 4 Phone is the company’s latest minimalist phone — or “dumb” phone — that comes with some serious early 2000s nostalgia. It features a classic clamshell design and can perform most basic phone functions, including making calls, sending texts, and playing music. It supports 5G connectivity, as well as built-in Bluetooth. And while it supports a few basic Google apps, it lacks social media or mobile gaming apps.

In what could have been an extremely strange collaboration with Tyler, The Creator, Converse has released its first sneaker in the 1908 Archives series. In a word, this ’70s throwback sneaker is fantastic. After 100 Years, The World’s First GMT Watch Has Never Looked Better

Beneath the sapphire crystal window, etched into the rotor, a Mercator projection map of the Northern Hemisphere with a line marking Greenwich Mean Time is visible.

The rest of the caliber L844.4 has its standard finishing with a blend of circular and linear brushing, which is hidden beneath a standard steel case back on every other Spirit Zulu Time reference.

Its long legacy and exceptional quality make it one of the most popular brands in the watch industry — and we haven’t even gotten to its good looks, or its ability to hold its own on the wrists of adventurers, travelers and sportsmen.

In this guide, we’ve curated five of our favorite models from in Longines’ lineup; timepieces that’ll look and work great for decades, either around the house, out for drinks or on Dad’s next big trip.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time 1925Longines

Equipped with a 24-hour graduated bezel, the watch enables users to track three time zones, making it an ideal companion for modern globetrotters. The dial is optimized for visibility with Super-LumiNova®-treated hands and indexes, ensuring readability in all lighting conditions, complemented by elegant engravings and a discreet date window. When done well, I love a good tiny EDC knife. And let me tell you, the Vosteed Corgi V is one of my all-time favorites. From its cute styling to its cutting utility and, most especially, its pivot lock, it’s an outstanding knife.

That said, no knife is truly perfect; there’s always room for improvement. Vosteed appears to have taken this fact to heart, as the brand has taken this small everyday carry cutting tool back to the drawing board once again.

The Vosteed Corgi V 295 is somehow another major improvement to an ever-increasingly spectacular model series.

As you can see, the new Corgi V (left) is slightly bigger and boasts improved styling — both good things.

Same bark, bigger bite

The chief difference between this new Corgi V and the original is its size. Normally, I’d be more averse to increasing a small knife’s proportions, but I think it works with this one, and here’s why:

The original Corgi V is 5.85 inches long, with a 2.36-inch blade and a 3.49-inch handle. While I like the blade’s proportions — the drop point shape helps make its cutting edge longer — the handle is a bit stout. The best I could get is a three-finger grip.

Twisted TBug

Thanks to Twisted, the Baja Bug will ride another day. The British restomodder has reimagined the air-cooled Beetles of yesteryear as a modern all-terrain vehicle, born from Charles Fawcett’s nostalgia for Baja Bug posters from his childhood. The TBug is “meticulously constructed from the chassis up,” Twisted says, combining long-travel suspension, oversized BF Goodrich tires, a hand-finished interior and modern LED lighting and electronics.

Hublot Square Bang Tourbillon 3D Carbon

Hublot squares off its Big Bang down to the movement structure with the Square Bang Tourbillon 3D Carbon. The hand-wound movement, with a four-day power reserve and tourbillon escapement, is built on a carbon fiber lattice frame, which can be viewed from both sides of the watch. The carbon fiber case consists of two pieces secured together with six exposed titanium screws.
