Yeti’s Newest Product Is Cheap, Versatile and Long Overdue

Yeti has never been a culinary company, strictly speaking. Then again, its bulletproof coolers can do more much more than keep a case of beer cold.

Pitmasters the world over use them as resting chambers for smoked meat, while fisherman depend on them to safely transport fish from sea to land.

More recently, the brand has doubled down on its culinary chops, releasing its own cast-iron-cookware collection and even insulated bowls for hosting and entertaining.

A new lineup of leakproof food jars expands upon this premise even further. And, according to Hannah Mara, the head of food and drink at the brand, its been a long time coming.

“Our fans have been asking for an insulated, fully leakproof food storage solution they could take on the go for years,” Mara says.

To date, Yeti Nation has had to rely on the brand’s extensive lineup of Rambler bottles and cups, such as the 10-ounce Lowball that has become a popular alternative to a traditional food jar.

When Japan Gets Its Hands on One of Hip Hop’s Most Iconic Sneakers, Magic Happens

Originally released as a basketball shoe in 1969, the Adidas Superstar would eventually transcend its sporting roots and become a staple of the style industry. This can be credited to its culture shift, helped largely by the hip-hop crowd (especially Run-D.M.C., rap icons who made the sneaker an integral part of their style).

Over the decades, the shoe has remained integral to the streetwear trend, even seeing a chunkier, more cushioned follow-up in the ’90s (which has since supplanted the original). While its popularity has ebbed and flowed, this legendary sneaker is on the rise again.

As proof positive, take a gander at the upcoming Adidas Originals x Beams Superstar II. This fresh take uses subtle style changes to give the iconic sneaker even more allure.

A fitting legacy

As the sneaker’s name suggests, this isn’t a special edition of the original Superstar; it’s a take on the ’90s follow-up. Overall, it’s a chunkier shoe, which fits with the emerging trends of now (a return to the ’90s and early 2000s).

For the most part, the original silhouette remains intact, as do many of the iconic details, like the rubber “shelltoe” toe cap and the trio of side stripes with their pinked edges.

Nike is famous for its record-setting road-running shoes and dozens of street-savvy icons. But the brand probably deserves a bit more respect on dirt.

American distance runner Caleb Olson recently won America’s most prestigious trail race in a pair of unreleased super shoes (not to mention one attention-grabbing running top).

In fact, Nike’s ACG catalog is littered with trail-ready footwear and apparel. That said, no SKU deserves the descriptor more than the ACG Zoom Gaiadome.

First released in 2022, the heavy-duty hiking boot has remained for well over a year.

Availability and pricing

Last seen in a Vintage Green colorway, the ACG Zoom Gaiadome will soon resurface in an earthy orange called “Cinnamon/Mars Stone.”

The variant is already available in Hong Kong, where it costs HK$1,799 — roughly $230.

An Iconic Brand Raised the ‘Surfer’ Watch to a Whole New Level, and It Is Gorgeous

OK, if we’re being sincere here, no serious surfer would paddle out in this watch, except maybe Time & Tide Founder and CEO Andrew McUthen. A $100 G-Shock would be far more appropriate, because a watch of this caliber is massive overkill.

That said, it is one of the most beautiful summer watches I’ve ever come across. Even as someone who doesn’t care for skeletonized dials, I have to admit the application of color and texture to this one is a work of art.

The white ceramic glows in the sunlight, and a combination of brushed and polished surfaces emphasizes the dodecagonal bezel and angular case. It begs to be worn on a beach or while lounging by a pool.

Which may be true, but last time I checked, you can’t copyright “holes.” 

And heck, a bit of research reveals that a bevy of (sometimes rather decorative) women’s fitness garments with various forms of laser-cut ventilation, some of which may date back more than a decade.

A hole new approach

Which brings me to Goldwin’s new trail running-inspired capsule, which emerged from a team-up of TechLab, the brand’s research facility, and Nur Abbas, creative director of Goldwin 0, a special branch developing products that are equally pretty and practical.  

Aiming for breathability and safety, the five items — a long-sleeve T-shirt, a half-sleeve T-shirt, shorts, half tights and a trail pack starting at a hefty $160 — are united by strategically placed ventilated and reflective panels.

This Genius Accessory Changed How I Car Camp Forever

After several weekend camping trips with multiple families, all with young kids in tow, it was obvious my camp kitchen setup was missing a key ingredient: an efficient, mess-free way to handle water.

Cooking for multiple families meant water was constantly in demand—whether for rinsing a coffee mug or scrubbing a cast iron pan—and our old solution (a basic water cube with a gravity-fed spigot) just wasn’t cutting it.

It took up a lot of table space, and manually twisting the spigot on and off when my hands were covered with soapy grey water, or trying to hold a pot for filling was grating on me.

Though it’s not cheap and has a few quirks, the system still works well overall, which is why I no longer want to car camp without it.

The hunt for a better solution led me deep into the world of portable camp faucets. Turns out, there aren’t many out there. Outside of DIY hacks involving sketchy pumps on Amazon, tubing guesswork, or specialized RV gear, the only real turn-key system was from Dometic.

Despite some sticker shock—the faucet and jug typically retail for just under $170—I took the plunge at REI.

Now, after (nearly) two summers with the system in tow, I can confidently say this: it’s one of the best camp kitchen upgrades I’ve ever made, and I never want to car camp without it.

This Simple, Stylish Japanese Field Watch Is Even More Affordable than a Timex

Uniquely, the watch eschews a more traditional crystal (like mineral) for a polycarbonate window. Again, this serves to add some durability — polycarbonate is the same material used in bulletproof glass — while also keeping the costs down.

The dial is minimalist while still being easy to read, relying on simple numerals, a minute scale and strategic lume at the hours and on the hands. Finally, the whole thing is finished off with a NATO-style nylon strap.

This Blockbuster Chronograph Quietly Nails a Divisive Design Choice

Few films in recent memory have launched with as much Hollywood horsepower as F1 The Movie. Backed by Apple Original Films with a reported budget of $250 million, the project unites blockbuster talent across the board. Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski leads the charge, with Jerry Bruckheimer producing and Brad Pitt starring—and co-producing—alongside a supporting cast that includes Javier Bardem.

But beyond the star power and cinematic spectacle, what sets this film apart is the sheer volume of brand partnerships riding shotgun. Chief among them is IWC Schaffhausen, which used the film as a launchpad for a curated lineup of racing-inspired watches tied to the fictional APXGP race team the story revolves around.

G-Shock’s Unbeatably Affordable Watch Just Became as Pristine as Possible

Despite costing under $100, G-Shock’s long-running 5600 Series is among the Casio sub-brand’s best offerings. One of its big strengths is its expansive catalog of colorway options, ranging from mild to wild (like the recent Sith-like black-and-red drop).

However, the latest version, the G-Shock DW5600WW-7, is unique in that its colorway makes it perhaps the most minimalist in the entire lineup.

What sets this particular G-Shock apart is its complete and utter lack of color. This is about as pale as any of the brand’s watches have ever been.

Over the course of the 5600 Series’ history, there have been other white versions (including this currently available one). Still, they usually have a pop of color or stylistic flourish somewhere.

By comparison, this one is almost entirely devoid of even a speck of contrast, if not for its silver pushers, buckle and gray dial lettering. Of course, it still has the watch’s signature display with its gray background and black digits, letters and icons.

Additionally, the Headphones have active noise-cancellation and transparency modes. And they promise up to 35 hours of battery with ANC turned on.

Ferrari has given its Roma GT such a comprehensive refresh that the brand has even changed the name. Now called the Amalfi, this grand tourer still has the same twin-turbo V8 engine, but now it produces 631 horsepower (up from 612), although the top speed is still the same 198 mph. It also has a much more minimalist exterior design, swapping the front grille for a sleeker air intake reminiscent of high-powered aircraft (and maybe a spaceship or two). It also gets a more purist-focused interior design, including a return to a more tactile control scheme.

Rado decorated its iconic dive watch with a subtle homage to the first sport it sponsored, tennis, back in 1985. Tennis ball-colored dots are placed at 0, 15, 30, and 40, referring to the sport’s scoring system, along with a matching point on the second hand. The otherwise monochromatic design has a gray sunburst dial and gray brushed ceramic dive bezel, and it comes on a stainless steel beads of rice bracelet, along with three nylon NATO straps in blue, green and orange. It is limited to 1,985 pieces.

One significant change from Nothing’s other smartphones is that, instead of a Glyph interface (an array of customizable light strips on its back), the Phone 3 features a small circular LED display in the top-right corner of its back, which it calls the Glyph Matrix. This can show little images or emojis to give you an idea of what kind of notification you’ve received without having to flip the phone over. Also, unlike Nothing’s most recent smartphones, the Phone 3 will actually be available for purchase in the US.

This Café Racer Is the Ideal Blend of Style and Tech, but There’s Reason to Be Suspicious

A first for Honda … or is it?

Here’s where things get really dicey. Many outlets are reporting that this is Honda’s first-ever electric motorcycle, but that’s not as clear-cut as it might seem.

For starters, Honda has released electric two-wheelers in the past, including 2018’s PCX Electric. Granted, that (and its siblings) are scooters and not true motorcycles, so technically it still could be considered factual, depending on your perspective.

The bigger issue, however, is this bike’s place of origin. Yes, the bike has a Honda badge slapped on its lower body, but it’s not exactly a Honda moto. This bike is made by Wuyang-Honda, a Chinese joint venture founded and funded by Guangzhou Motorcycle Group and Honda.
