The Fifty Fathoms Tech isn’t brand new, as it’s a version of an earlier watch from the brand. The original was the Fifty Fathoms Tech Gombessa, a wild 47mm diver with a single central lug, an integrated rubber strap, an Omega-esque helium escape valve at 10:00 and an original complication for timing dives up to three hours using a fourth hand and custom bezel.
That watch was launched in 2023 as the second in a trilogy of unique Fifty Fathoms celebrating the 70th anniversary of the model, and while not technically a limited edition, it is quite limited in production. Then, in March of this year, the brand launched the Fifty Fathoms Tech Ocean Commitment IV. It shrunk down and simplified the Tech Gombessa to create a more wearable 45mm watch with a time-and-date movement.

That watch was a limited edition, created to support the Blancpain Ocean Commitment program. Now, finally, Blancpain has created a non-limited, readily available Fifty Fathoms Tech — and it’s introducing an all-new technology to the brand.

The new Fifty Fathoms Tech shares a lot in common with the limited Tech BOC IV from earlier this year. It has the same 45mm across x 14.2mm thick round case in Grade 23 titanium with a central lug design and integrated rubber strap.
It features the same Absolute Black dial that absorbs 97 percent of light to better contrast with the solid block Super-LumiNova indices and fully lumed minute track. The same fully lumed rounded sapphire bezel insert introduced on the BOC also remains.

You don’t have to wait to get your hands on Outlier’s Freecotton fabric if you want to test it out for yourself. The brand has launched it in two shirt styles.
The first is the Outlier Boxford, a black, long-sleeved button-up. It’s a classic, relaxed cut that works great as an office-appropriate option, but it can also be worn as a more casual streetwear piece with the right accessories.
The second is a little bit more casual, if only by virtue of its short sleeves. It’s called the Outlier Freecotton Shortsleeve and, for now, it’s only available in light blue. That said, it otherwise has the same overall cut and form as the Boxford.

This innovative brain bucket from a Spanish start-up takes protection to another level with its Breathe Safe System, which Zyon says filters out air pollution. Good for one to three months of use, the helmet’s four-layered filters offer three ventilation modes (low, medium and high) to screen fine particles, dust, toxic gases and allergens. The helmet also boasts that cycling staple, MIPS (multi-directional impact protection system), an active rear light system and connectivity that monitors the state of the filters and, for better or worse, rider activity. In 2020, Rolex brought back the green-bezeled, black-dialed configuration in the form of the Submariner Date 126610LV, replacing the Hulk with what many interpreted as a return to classic form. The watch’s date mechanism is exclusive to the brand and uses a pusher at 10:00 to activate a column wheel, which triggers a center-mounted hand to point to the current date on the ceramic bezel. Another press of the pusher sends the hand back to its resting spot at 12:00, similar to a chronograph hand, meaning the watch only shows the date when you want it to. Necessary? No. Cool? You bet. Titoni’s new Baytona competitor is the Seascoper 300 Chronograph, and it seems pretty likely the brand’s designers took a peek at Tudor when penciling the watch’s lines.
Like the Black Bay Chrono, the Seascoper Chronograph features a bicompax layout with a 1/4-second minute track, a black-on-white date window replacing the index at 6:00 and the two chronograph registers that delete the indices at 3:00 and 9:00.
The indices are round and applied, with silver surrounds and white lume — just like on the Black Bay Chrono. The 12:00 index is trapezoidal instead of a Tudor triangle, offering some distinction between the brands.
You won’t find pink or Flamingo Blue, but Titoni does offer its Seascoper Chronograph with a blue or green dial in addition to black. Titoni
The stainless steel case is 42mm across, slightly bigger than the 41mm Tudor, and thicker at 15.5mm compared to Tudor’s 14.4mm thickness. But with that increased size comes an increase in water resistance, from 200 to 300m.
The screw-down pushers recall the Baytona, as does the oversized crown, which features an engraving of Titoni’s plum blossom logo. The Baytona also features a flower on its crown: the old-school Tudor rose logo.

Swiss independent brand Louis Erard has teamed up with Dubai-based jeweler Ahmed Seddiqi for this special version of the former’s La Petite Seconde dress watch that honors the latter’s 75th anniversary. The watch combines the model’s standard Art Deco design with Dubai’s more contemporary landscape to create a unique design language the brand has dubbed “Neo-Deco.” The copper dial features an attractive mix of finishes, making it quite dynamic, and the usual Arabic indices have been swapped for Hindi ones (Dubai has a large South Asian ex-pat population who speak Hindi). Typically, Crocs are made with a material the brand calls Croslite. While it’s technically proprietary, it’s a type of EVA foam — a common polymer employed frequently in contemporary footwear.
For the most part, the Echo RO Clogs are still made from this ultralight, cushy, soft material. They also retain a LiteRide cushioned footbed, ventilation holes and the signature back strap.

The movement is the same you’ll find in other no-date Seamaster Diver 300Ms.Omega
While the two base strap options look great, if I were dropping $6,500 on this beautiful watch, I would spare an additional $190 to get Omega’s black and orange nylon NATO strap.
It brings the look even closer to the Speedmaster “Ultraman,” which came on a similar strap, and creates the best-looking version of this watch, in my opinion.
Following in the wake of two precious metal-laden references with prices that topped five figures, it is nice to see a more approachable and pragmatic Seamaster Diver 300M.
Last year, my colleague Johnny Brayson correctly predicted that this NTTD-inspired direction was the future of the Seamaster Diver 300M series, and man, the future looks bright.
