Seiko’s Little-Known Sub-Brand Just Launched One of the Year’s Most Stunning Watches

Birds of a Feather

Credor’s new watch is the Goldfeather Tourbillon, a veritable work of art that combines an in-house tourbillon with an astounding level of handcrafted art from various Japanese disciplines on both the dial and movement.

The dial is coated in inky black urushi lacquer, which has been used in Japan for thousands of years — including on some Seiko Presage watches — but that’s just the start of the artistry. A lone urushi artisan named Isshu Tamura constructs the dial using three additional classic Japanese crafts: raden, kirikane and maki-e.

a credor watch
Credor’s newest watch is one of the most impressive pieces from any brand this year.
Credor

Raden involves placing differently colored pieces of mother-of-pearl into the lacquer, while kirikane is a similar process but with fine lines of gold plate instead of mother-of-pearl.

Tamura used both processes to create a multicolored flock of birds flying from the exposed tourbillon at 9:00 — which itself resembles a flying bird — to the Credor logo at 12:00. Maki-e, the process of sprinkling gold dust into the lacquer, can be seen surrounding the tourbillon for an ethereal effect.

As striking as the dial is, the caseback may be even more impressive. A sapphire caseback reveals the new Credor Cal. 6850, a manual-wind tourbillon movement with 60 hours of power that is hand-assembled by master watchmaker Katsuo Saito. Mechanical mastery aside, the movement features some impressive and unique decoration.

Filson Just Leveled Up a Handful of Its Most Iconic Garments, Proving Workwear Never Dies

Few runway garments make it to market, and no preview of the actual retail collection is available yet, so we don’t know which pieces will be available for purchase or what any of the items will cost.

What I can say for sure is that availability will be limited and prices will be high. The capsule collection will only be sold at Filson’s New York and Los Angeles flagship stores, Dover Street Market, the Filson Milan flagship and select global retailers. At least initially, it will only be available online on Filson’s European market website.

Hopefully, the real impact of the Junya Watanabe x Filson Fall/Winter 2025 capsule collection will be a reinvigoration of the genre, because we’re all better off in Tin Cloth and boiled wool than spandex and Lyocell.

You can see the whole Junya Watanabe Man Fall/Winter 2025 show on Comme des Garçons’ YouTube channel.

This Innovative New Multi-Tool Does One Key Thing Better than Any Other

As EDC enthusiasts well know, what multi-tools gain in versatility, they often sacrifice in individual implement efficacy.

Still, you can’t beat the consolidation of so much functionality in a small space, and the best of them get pretty damn close to approximating the performance of solitary full-size tools.

pixot x multi-tool in hand
Measuring four inches and weighing 3.7 ounces, the Pivot X offers a lot of functionality in a pretty compact package.
Pivot X

One area where nearly all multi-tools fall quite short, however, is with the pry function.

Finally addressing that issue in a clever and compelling way? A new Kickstarter project called the Pixot X Wrench (or Pivot X for short).

The prying game

Often just a wedge extending straight out of one end or the other, ideally with a notch for nail-pulling, the typical multi-tool’s pry function is so ubiquitous, it can make us forget what a real pry bar looks like.

The big difference with an actual dedicated pry bar is that the end is angled as much as 90 degrees — and even more so in the case of an honest-to-goodness crow bar.

The Lego Game Boy Is Real, Damn Cool and Surprisingly Affordable

The original Game Boy is, without a doubt, one of the most iconic gaming consoles of all time. And now, over three decades after its initial released, the 1989 classic handheld is getting immortalized in Lego brick form.

Nostalgia gamers and Lego enthusiasts, rejoice!

True icon, brick form

The Lego Game Boy looks unbelievably accurate to the 1989-released classic. It’s at a near 1:1 scale and thus promises to feel quite similar in your hand, too.

The build set is made of 421 pieces and comes with memorable features such as the iconic D-pad, large circular A and B buttons, thin buttons for “Select” and “Start, as well as the contrast adjustment and volume dial.

A Venerated Tech Brand Makes an Under-the-Radar Foray into Minimalist EDC Bags

They also all feature thick, organic cotton straps. Not only is that another point in the sustainability column, but it’s also durable while still being comfortable (especially against bare skin).

Of course, they also all look outstanding, even up close — the stitching’s craftsmanship is especially pleasing. But that should come as no surprise; Native Union has a long history of crafting beautiful products.

Tech at the forefront

As you’d probably expect, the internals of these bags were built with technology storage in mind. Tech is, after all, a core focus of Native Union’s product catalog.

For instance, the two larger bags — the backpack and the tote — both have built-in padded laptop sleeves, so you can safely haul your folding computer wherever you go (yes, even the farmers’ market).

Hoka’s New City Shoe Is More Technical Than Most Trail Runners

Following up on last year’s Satisfy’s collab, Hoka revisits the Mafate Speed 4 Lite as street-ready answer to Salomon XT-6 hype.

You don’t become one of the biggest sportswear brands on the planet without a few tricks up your sleeve.

Sure enough, Hoka has plenty.

Since debuting the original Mafate in 2009, the brand has gone on to dominate both roads and trails with an ever-evolving catalog of shoes, boots and even recovery sandals.

Following the quiet introduction of the Mafate Speed 4 Lite to its Stealth/Tech series, it’s clear Hoka wants to solidify its position in streetwear circles, too, with the shoe emerging as an answer to the Salomon XT-6 — the granddaddy of crossover Gorpcore sneakers.

Available now, the Mafate Speed 4 Lite is the latest silhouette to join Hoka’s Stealth/Tech roaster.
Hoka

But like that shoe, the Mafate Speed 4 Lite remains a function-first design, with technical features that would run circles around many trail runners from other brands.

Trail chops, street style

The newest Mafate Speed 4 Lite follows in the footsteps of previous variants in that it’s built on the platform of Mafate Speed 4 from 2022.

That means it has an EVA-based ProFly midsole and extra-grippy Vibram Megagrip outsole.

However, the jacquard mesh upper of the original is swapped out for a translucent ripstop material carried over from the brand’s high-profile Satisfy collaboration in the second half of 2024.

With it comes Hoka’s speed-lace system — a feature the brand unceremoniously dropped from the most recent Mafate Speed 4 Lite — which goes the extra mile with reflective detailing.

Hoka introduced the Mafate Speed 4 Lite into its mainline catalog in early 2025, albeit without speed laces.

As such, it represents a viable alternative to the sold-out Satisfy collab, not to mention the Salomon XT-6 (another shoe with speed laces).

Availability and pricing

The Stealth/Tech Mafate Speed 4 Lite is available now from Hoka’s official website.

It costs $180 and comes in two simple, toned-down colorways — black and white.

The 2026 Prelude Is Getting Some of Honda’s Sportiest Hot Hatch Features

Electrified thrills

Beyond the addition of some fancy Type R parts, Honda also announced that the Prelude will be powered by the same drivetrain that’s currently found in the Civic hybrid. In practice, this means that it will incorporate a pair of electric motors in conjunction with a 2.0–liter four-cylinder engine.

In the Civic, the setup is rated for 200 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque, so the 2026 Prelude will likely make similar (if not identical) numbers. While this means it won’t be as powerful as the 315-horsepower Type R, it does put it on par with the 200-horsepower Si.

Now, unfortunately, electrification does mean that Honda won’t be giving the upcoming Prelude the option of a manual transmission. Instead, the hybrid sports car will incorporate the brand’s direct-drive eCVT setup. The good news, though, is that Honda will be introducing a new S+ Shift system as a means to give owners a sportier, more dynamic driving experience.

Honda bills the Prelude as a sporty yet comfortable GT, so the model will likely slot in somewhere between the Civic Si and the Civic Type R.

Is Apple Bringing Another Key Whoop Feature to the Apple Watch?

Over the years, Apple has developed a habit of observing what works in other smartwatches and fitness trackers, and then introducing similar features to the Apple Watch later. But, because it’s Apple, they’re able to do it in a stylish way that works much better with your iPhone and other Apple devices.

One recent example of this is sleep tracking. Because the Apple Watch doesn’t have nearly the battery life of its rivals, Apple stayed away from it. But, due to overwhelming demand, it finally conceded and introduced sleep tracking in 2020 as part of watchOS 7.

That said, the Apple Watch’s sleep tracking has lacked a fundamental feature — the ability to provide a sleep score, which is a fun and easy way to gauge how well you’ve slept.

Some of the most popular fitness trackers, including Whoop, as well as several third-party sleep tracking apps for the Apple Watch, have been able to provide wearers with a sleep score. And now it looks like a similar feature could be coming to the Sleep app on your Apple Watch for the first time.

(It’s worth noting that this wouldn’t be the first time the Apple Watch got a signature Whoop feature. Just last year, with watchOS 11, Apple Watch finally gave you the ability to take days off, or “rest days,” where you could pause activity rings in case you need a day or week off.)

The Apple Watch gets a sleep score (maybe)

Apple Watch rumor sleep score
Apple introduced sleep tracking on the Apple Watch in 2020, but it has never been able to show you a sleep score, a sleep tracking feature that many other smartwatches and fitness trackers have.
Apple

As spotted by MacRumors contributor Steve Moser in the developer beta of iOS 26, located in the Health app code, there’s an unused illustration titled “Watch Focus Score” with several sleep-related icons (including “zzz,” the moon, a bed and an alarm clock) around it.

Harley-Davidson May Have Quietly Ushered in a New Era of Motorcycling

Sometimes, change happens fast and furious, impossible to miss. Other times, it slips in under your nose and only later do you realize nothing will ever be the same.

The latter scenario just might be unfolding with the latest bit of news from LiveWire, Harley-Davidson’s electric sub-brand.

livewire rider program full
Bartels’ Harley-Davidson Riding Academy is the first new rider program in the country to offer certified training on LiveWire electric motorcycles, as opposed to traditional gas-powered bikes.
LiveWire

The potentially game-changing announcement, courtesy of a simple press release? Bartels’ Harley-Davidson Riding Academy in Marina del Rey has become the first new rider program in America to offer certified training on LiveWire electric motorcycles

On the surface, that might not seem like that big of a deal, but in removing a difficult part of learning to ride from the process, they’ve dropped a huge barrier to entry, with major ramifications.

Breaking news

Before we can get to what this means, let’s break down what it is

LiveWire says that at Bartels’, you can receive expert instruction from trainers certified by both the California Motorcyclist Safety Program (CMSP) and the Harley-Davidson Riding Academy.

It Just Got a Little Easier to Buy a Used Rolex

Rolex’s Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program was in the news recently after a study revealed just how wide the price disparity can be between various Rolex CPO retailers. (For more on that, go here.)

Now, less than two weeks later, Rolex’s CPO program is making headlines again. And while the previous story was more of a mixed bag (i.e., you may have gotten fleeced depending on where you bought your used Rolex), today’s story can only be seen as good news if you’re looking to buy a certified used Rolex.

a man holds a rolex watch
If you’re in the market for a Certified Pre-Owned Rolex, your options are about to increase.
Rolex

And Then It Was Two

When Rolex launched its CPO program at the end of 2022, it was an immediate game-changer for the secondhand watch industry. Suddenly, for the first time, buyers interested in purchasing a used Rolex watch would have the option of shopping watches that were guaranteed authentic from the brand, serviced by a Rolex-certified technician and warrantied by The Crown for two years.

But there were catches, of course.

For one, buyers would have to pay a premium for the service, as Rolex Certified Pre-Owned watches understandably cost more than the same watches sold by a non-RCPO partner.

An Essential Vintage Gaming Console Rises from the Grave with a (Mostly) Faithful Revival

Long before the Sony PlayStation versus Microsoft Xbox debate existed, there was the 8-bit video game battle between Atari and Commodore.

While Nintendo eventually came along and settled it, virtually pushing both of its predecessors into obsolescence, the gaming world as we know it owes much to these forgotten relics.

Sadly, the Commodore name has spent the 30 years since its collapse largely unceremoniously — seeing its name slapped on a variety of unimpressive, oddball products (like this cheap excuse for a smartphone).

But that legacy appears poised to change with the unveiling of the Commodore 64 Ultimate, a largely faithful revival of the iconic gaming computer with some key updates and upgrades.

Commodore 64 Ultimate
Thankfully, this reissue looks nearly identical to the original model.
Commodore

A labor of 8-bit love

This Commodore 64 rebirth is primarily owed to retro video game enthusiast and YouTuber Christian “Perifractic” Simpson. He and some others from the retro games industry bought the company in a bit of a surprise bid from its former owners.

Initially, the group had merely sought a licensing deal. However, after discussing the trademark and other potential options, the whole kit and kaboodle were offered in exchange for a whopping seven figures.

This Fittingly Named Mini Multi-Tool Is a Monument to Minimalism

spinning slashpen
The SlashPen stays securely in one piece until you twist one end of the other to unsheathe the tool within.
Marlboro & Kane

So perhaps it was only a matter of time until these two products teamed up in a single implement of similar size, but doubly effective.

Measuring just over 2.7 inches, the SlashPen boasts premium materials (your choice of brass or titanium), a knurled mid grip and double key loops for easy attachment.

Meanwhile, internal silicone sloped washers keep two of its four tools safely sheathed until a twist deploys them.

Focused function

Speaking of those tools, let’s take a quick look at them, one by one.

1. Blade

The SlashPen improves upon the Slash’s design with a 15° knife edge that still boasts the power of tungsten but significantly improves the cutting angle.

The truly tiny tungsten blade should be a tape-slicing titan.

You’re probably not chopping up a thick steak with it, but it should make short work of box tape, clothing tags, twine and the like.

Luminox’s Mil-Spec Swiss Diver Gets an Icy-Cool New Edition

Speaking of the rotating dive timer bezel, while not white, it is a lighter gray color than usual. It’s also made from super tough, lightweight Grade 2 titanium. And it’s mated to the watch’s Carbonox case — an ultra-strong, ultralight carbon fiber-based material that’s the brand’s signature.

The whole package is icy cool, helping it stand out from other watches in its class. The brand even doubled down by swapping its usual green-lumed hour markers for frosty blue ones, which is an excellent, subtle touch.

The caseback’s engraving confirms its compliance with mil-spec requirements.
Luminox

Dive, dive, dive!

Did I mention that this watch was designed and built specifically to meet mil-spec standards as outlined by the U.S. Department of Defense? Oh yeah, it is.

That means it’s obscenely tough and made to be brutalized without skipping a beat. It can also go 300 meters underwater, about 100 meters deeper than most other divers (including many two and even three times its price).

This Affordable, Seiko-Powered Tool Watch Trio Covers Every Base with Heritage-Inspired Flair

Despite being founded only a decade ago, Italian microbrand Unimatic has fast become a go-to source for rugged and affordable tool watches, thanks in part to the brand’s unique hyper-minimalist design aesthetic.

But sometimes, Unimatic’s modern sensibilities can get in the way of a watch’s practicality. After all, a dive bezel without any markings isn’t the most useful when it comes to timing events.

So if you’ve been wishing for a Unimatic watch that incorporates more of the stylish flair and practical utility of vintage tool watches while still looking like a Unimatic, then the brand’s new Diving Heritage Collection has just the watch, or rather, watches, for you.

three unimatic tool watches
Unimatic has added vintage touches to three of its core diver models.
Unimatic

Unimatic’s new collection features three different models, each filling the role of one of the “Big Three” tool watches. There’s a standard dive watch, a GMT and a chronograph.

The diver and GMT both use the brand’s standard Modello Uno case, while the chronograph uses its Modello Tre case. All cases are in brushed stainless steel and measure 40mm across and 41.5mm at the bezel, and all bezels are 120-click unidirectional with a coin edge. Each case is water-resistant to 300m with a screw-down caseback featuring the same mid-century diver-inspired insignia.

This Gorgeous New Entry-Level Motorcycle Punches Well Above Its Weight

Exciting as it is on its own, the rise of small-displacement adventure bikes is not what you’d call an independent event.

It’s actually part of a bigger trend, largely driven by overseas brands, toward more approachable and affordable motorcycles that newer riders aren’t afraid to swing a leg over.

voge rr400s black beauty
Though Voge pushes the white and red editions more in its marketing, the black RR500S looks like a beauty to me.
Voge

Latest example? A new sportbike from Voge, a moto-focused Chongqing, China-based premium sub-brand of the large industrial company Loncin.

The Voge RR500S follows in the tracks of small-engined speed machines such as Kawasaki’s Ninja ZX-4RR, CFMoto’s 500SR Voom, Kove’s 450RR and a bunch of QJMotors models.

Not unlike those bikes, it’s out to prove you don’t have to be big to be badass — with a twist.

Uncork the torque

As you most likely surmised from the nomenclature, the RR500S packs an engine in that neighborhood: a compact 475cc inline-four making 76 hp at 12,500 rpm and 35 lb.-ft. of torque at 11,000 rpm — and redlining at 14,000 rpm.

Beyond those numbers, it’s worth noting that Voge says 80 percent of said torque can be accessed from 5,000rpm upward, meaning more flex than you might guess.

This Affordable Audiophile Turntable Captures the Original Magic of Vinyl

The new E1.2 borrows the sub-platter, which features a glass-fibre-reinforced ABS design, from Pro-Ject’s higher-end Debut turntable range.

And Pro-Ject upgraded the cartridge on the E1.2. Instead of the Audio Technica AT 3600 L that came equipped on the E1, the E1.2 comes with Pro-Ject’s own Pick it MM E cartridge, which the brand claims “offers precise tracking, smooth tonal balance, and reduced distortion.”

As of July 2025, the Pro-Ject E1.2 turntable is available in Europe. We’re still waiting to learn about its US availability.
Pro-Ject

Price and availability

The Pro-Ject E1.2 comes in three different finishes: high-gloss black, satin white or walnut.

The turntable is available now in Europe and costs £249 or €329, which translates to approximately $335. And it is being distributed exclusively by Henley Audio, a UK-based hi-fi retailer.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar Rose Gold

Although Bulgari doesn’t currently own the title of the world’s thinnest watch, with the Konstantin Thinking stealing the crown in 2024 from the brand’s Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC, it’s still the industry leader in the niche category of ultrathin mechanical watches. The brand’s Octo Finissimo line has broken 10 world records for thinness in 11 years, and the remarkable Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar still reigns as the world’s thinnest perpetual calendar. Originally released in titanium and later in carbon and tantalum, Bulgari has now crafted the watch from solid 18k rose gold, adding some luxurious heft while maintaining the complicated watch’s impossibly thin profile of 5.8mm. It retails for €98,000 (~$115,000).

2025 Bourbon County Brand Original Stout

A new year, a new lineup of stouts from the Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Family. Only this time, the most interesting one might be the original, which moves to a new format for the first time in decades: 10-ounce four-packs that encourage side-by-side tastings with the others. Those include the Double Barrel Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond Stout and another inspired by the tasting notes of baklava. The full lineup will be available this fall.

Salomon Aero Blaze 3

Salomon is positioning this men’s and women’s running shoe as a comfortable yet responsive do-it-all daily quiver killer, but can it deliver? Points in its favor include a new optiFOAM2 midsole with 20 percent more rebound than its predecessor, updated rocker geometry for smooth heel-to-toe transitions, a breathable mesh upper and a traction-packed Road Contragrip outsole. Throw in a fairly feathery weight of just over 8.1 ounces and you’ve got a pretty strong contender here.

Twelve South PowerBugTwelve South

Twelve South PowerBug

Twelve South’s PowerBug is a portable MagSafe charger that plugs right into the wall outlet. It doesn’t take up any space on a desk or tabletop. It doesn’t require any charging cables. It’s small enough not to block the usage of any other wall outlets. And it supports StandBy mode. Additionally, it features a USB-C charging port capable of delivering up to 35 watts of power, allowing you to charge a second device. If charging two devices simultaneously, it splits the power 20 watts (USB-C) and 15 watts (wireless). It’s available in two colors: white or black.

This Iconic Japanese Sports Car Just Got a Big Tech Upgrade

acura integra front right wheel closeup
Along with a revised aero body kit, the Integra A-Spec also gains some gloss black side sills and matching 18-inch wheels.
Acura

What’s more, the Integra gains new color options in the form of Solar Silver Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl and Double Apex Blue Pearl, and cars optioned in either Double Apex Blue Pearl or Performance Red Pearl will come with a paint-matched grille as standard. If you’re a fan of the look, the feature will be available as an add-on for other colors, too, though buyers will also be able to specify a gloss-black grille for something a little subtler.

And that’s not all; as part of the overhauled interior, Acura is treating the Integra A-Spec to a new trim pattern on the dash as well as some extended ambient lighting. Complemented by some new suede inserts and stitching options, it makes for a refresh that’s subtle in execution but impactful in result.

acura integra manual transmission center console close-up
Nowadays, cars with manual transmissions are few and far between, but Acura is keeping the six-speed as an option for the 2026 Integra.
Acura

Familiar fan favorite

Under the hood, the 2026 Integra will retain the same 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder as is found in the current model. Though Acura equips a CVT automatic transmission as standard, buyers will again have the option of a six-speed manual. In practice, this means that output is a consistent 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque for the base and A-Spec models.

At this stage, Acura has yet to announce full specifications for the 2026 Integra lineup. Most notably, there’s no mention of what MSRP is set to look like, and the 320-horsepower Integra Type S is conspicuously absent from the announcement
