Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is a success in the US

Usually, Europe is the most important market for Bugatti, but for the first time in history, during the first six months of 2021, the leading region has been taken over by the United States of America, with an immense interest in the impressive Bugatti Chiron, and more specifically the very special Pur Sport, a model that focusses on agility and acceleration instead of all-out top speed, Cedric Davy, COO of Bugatti of the Americas confirms that 70% of order for the Pur Sport are first time Bugatti customers.

Bugatti is well on its way to a record-setting 2021, aside from the many orders for the Chiron Pur Sport, the newly introduced Chiron Super Sport has been generating a lot of interest from US buyers too, and it’s clear to see why the amazing Chiron Super Sport comes with a highly modified body, with a ‘longtail’ design to offer the best possible stability at speeds over 400 km/h, this fourth iteration of the Bugatti Super Sport moniker has been created specifically for top speed while still being luxurious and comfortable, the Pur Sport counterpart was created for cornering and lateral agility.

If you remember the Bugatti EB110 Super Sport, you might remember the round holes behind the side windows … as an homage to that design element, this new Chiron Super Sport comes with nine air vents on top of the front fenders to release air pressure from the front wheel wells, as this also increases downforce on the front axle, this styling detail is also functional, the new Chiron Super Sport is an uncompromising reincarnation of the Bugatti design mantra, ‘form follows performance’.

But back to the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport,  there will be only 60 units built for the entire world, the Chiron Pur Sport didn’t fail to impress some of the most important automotive publications in the United States during test drives, subsequently, sales have risen considerably, Bugatti mentions a 700% increase compared to the first six months of 2020, and with events starting to be held throughout the world, Bugatti intends to invite more clients to their VIP area to have them get a taste of what a Bugatti Chiron is all about.

Even 24 Hour of Le Mans class winner and longtime Bugatti test driver Butch Leitzinger was impressed with the Chiron Pur Sport during extended testing in Southern California, he stated: “The seamless marriage of agility and brute force give the Pur Sport abilities that are unmatched, not only by any other car, but also by any other Bugatti.”, so despite the pricetag in the $4,000,000 region, there are more customers than ever willing to park the Chiron in their garage.

The Ford Bronco’s Impact on America Can’t Be Overstated

ford bronco badge 2021

On the evening of June 17, 1994, a white Ford Bronco became the world’s most famous SUV. A gun-toting O.J. Simpson had slipped into the back of friend Al Cowling’s 1993 Bronco, and the former football great — charged in the murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman four nights earlier— led Los Angeles police on an extensively televised two-hour chase before surrendering at his Brentwood manion. “The Juice” and the Bronco were forever linked. But only the Bronco got put away for 25 years.

Ford cancelled the two-door Bronco in 1996, replacing it with the enormous Expedition. Now, in 2021, the Bronco is returning, rehabilitated for modern tastes and (fingers crossed) post-pandemic adventure — and its arrival has become a watershed moment in automotive culture. Sometimes during the Bronco’s oft-delayed rebirth, it seemed as though an audience even larger than the 90 million who watched O.J.’s attempted end-run around justice on live television were following every nail-biting moment.

Ford

But why, exactly? Take a trip down any street, from Brentwood to Boston, to spot the first clue: a sea of Toyota RAV4s and Honda CR-Vs, Subaru Foresters and Ford Escapes. In pricier nabes, you’ll lose count of the Audi Q5s, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Classes and BMW X3s. There’s nothing wrong with these SUVs, and a lot right, as the RAV4’s roughly 400,000 annual sales attest. (Set aside pickup trucks, including Ford’s dominating F-Series, and the RAV4 is America’s best-selling automotive model of any type). But the SUV has morphed, in stages, from adventurous outlier — including the heart-meltingly-cool Bronco Roadster of 1966, sold with no roof or doors in standard guise — to bloated environmental and safety scourge; to today’s symbol of tranquilized suburban conformity. In 2021, a minivan is a more provocative driveway statement than a crossover. Americans never like to see themselves as conformists, even if the New Balance shoe fits — so some of them, desperate for an image upgrade and a car with a pulse, will do just about anything to avoid re-upping a $269-a-month lease on a CR-V.

Genuine, truck-based SUVs that the industry spent decades running away from are back in a big way.

As a result, we’ve reached an inflection point, suffused with full-circle irony: the genuine, truck-based SUVs that the industry spent decades running away from are back in a big way, and just in time for a post-Covid where hiking, camping and other close-to-home adventures seem more enticing than an all-inclusive Caribbean getaway. The more authentic their image and backstory, the better. The Jeep Wrangler, the descendant of the military Jeep that started it all — sorry, Ford, Land Rover, Toyota et. al. — has never been more popular, its sales nearly tripled from 2005. The Land Rover Defender, the ultimate forbidden fruit of American 4×4 fans, is doing its own British Invasion and selling like mad. General Motors is rushing its GMC Hummer to market in electric form, simultaneously milking the Hummer’s bad-boy Terminator image and recasting it as an eco-warrior. Even mainstream models, from the latest RAV4 to the award-winning Kia Telluride, are ditching soapbox crossover shapes for the boxier lines and burlier attitudes of old-school SUVs.

But the Hummer’s inaugural First Edition will start from $106,000, putting it out-of-reach for most mainstream buyers. A decently equipped Defender shoots past $60,000, and above $100,000 in upcoming supercharged V-8 form. A 2021 Bronco, meanwhile — with its killer design that plays up the elemental charm of the pint-sized original with none of its farm-implement compromises — starts just below $30,000. No wonder people are going crazy for it.

Ford

For all the rose-colored nostalgia (and soaring prices for vintage models), the truth is that the Bronco wasn’t especially popular in its time — and not at all path-breaking. In its best sales year of 1974, the first-gen Bronco sold from 1966 to 1977 found 25,824 buyers, compared with about 43,000 sales for the better-equipped Jeep CJ. The Bronco didn’t even offer a radio or air conditioning until 1978. Yet a Bronco legend began taking dusty shape in the deserts of North America in those early years, with Parnelli Jones and Bill Stroppe winning the Baja 1000 in 1971 and 1972 in a modified Bronco race truck.

Ford fared best in sales with the “Big Bronco,” an upsized SUV based on the F-Series pickup that proved a stalwart through four generations between 1978 and 1996. The Big Broncos, including ruggedly handsome two-door models, were serious SUVs, a favorite of workin’ men, off-road enthusiasts and customizers of varying skills. These Broncos delivered a few cultural highlights, including serving as open-air Popemobile for John Paul’s American tour in 1979. The Bronco became a serviceable TV and movie chariot, often for lawmen or outlaws, from CHiPs and Lost to Terminator 2 and No Country for Old Men. But even those Broncos’ sales were consistently dwarfed by the Chevrolet Blazer’s, and the fuel-thirsty Ford grew increasingly out-of-step with the times.

“We need the new Bronco the way a moose needs a hat rack,” Car and Driver opined — in 1980, no less. “The new wave of small, efficient four-by-fours makes this better 4WD idea for the Eighties look like something exhumed from the La Brea tar pits.”

2021 ford bronco
“The 2021 Ford Bronco takes it’s rugged off-road design cues from the first-generation Bronco, the iconic 4×4 that inspired generations of fans.”

Ford

Let’s be real: all the yabber about the Bronco’s “iconic” status is more marketing fluff than reality; at the very least, it centers solely on the first-gen model and our increasingly romanticized vision of its primitive-SUV era. Take it from someone who grew up in Jeep CJs and Wagoneers, International Harvester Scouts and TravelAlls and a camp mate’s first-gen Bronco: yes, there was and is something cool about the early SUVs, with their rudimentary beauty, mechanical purity and lack of pretense. But most people today — even people who like 4x4s — wouldn’t want to spend an hour in these often-unreliable, fitfully heated, metal-lined tanks.

Collectors and nostalgists aside, SUV fans should be thankful they live in 2021 — and for the 25-year hiatus that’s led to the sixth-gen Bronco. This new model looks beastly enough, but it’s an entirely different beast. It’s roomier, friendlier and more-approachable, suffused with modern comforts, tech and versatile on-road performance. This Bronco loves to get down and dirty, but cleans up nicely for dinner. And today’s SUV buyers wouldn’t have it any other way.

Why Is Everyone Buying Cacti?

A version of this story first appeared in Gear Patrol Magazine. Subscribe today for more stories like this one, plus receive a $15 gift card to the Gear Patrol Store.

Cacti are photogenic in the most unphotogenic way. Bending arms, misshapen pads, random bumps — these are features that solidified the cactus as a plant to be cursed at, not owned. But now cacti’s unpredictable weirdness has people embracing them with open (albeit covered) arms.

tula

Henry Phillips

“Plants are all unique and imperfect and the shapes are what makes them so wonderful,” says Christan Summers, cofounder of the Brooklyn plant store Tula. When it comes to cacti, their all-around resilience goes a long way, too.

Cacti are capable of living and growing in extreme environments and on apartment windowsills alike. What’s more, they can live to be incredibly old, and they wear their age like a badge of honor. From scars to growth patterns, a cactus’s life is reflected in its looks. There’s gratification in watching them slowly grow into the looks that are unique to their upbringing.

Summers also thinks the sheer variety of species and shapes has drawn a new wave of prospective plant parents to cacti. And with upwards of 2,000 species to choose from, there’s a cactus for everyone. “It expands far beyond the common plant or tropical-oasis vibe into a world of shapely, blooming beauties that don’t demand too much attention to thrive,” she says.

Here, see select pieces of the desert that Summers brought into a little corner in Brooklyn.

What Is a Radio-Controlled Watch?

Welcome to Watches You Should Know, a biweekly column highlighting important or little-known watches with interesting backstories and unexpected influence. This week: the Junghans Mega 1.

The “perfect” watch should be as convenient, practical and accurate as possible. This notion largely drove watchmaking innovation for centuries, but as watches have taken on a luxury role in modern life, there are now only a few companies that invest in the technology that can genuinely realize such an ideal. We’re not talking about watches that do what a smartphone or computer does, but those that use the latest technology to autonomously deliver the best possible timekeeping experience.

This is a field dominated by the big Japanese companies — Seiko, Citizen and Casio — each of which has vast resources for research, development and production. But tucked away in the Black Forest of Germany, the 160-year-old brand Junghans is quietly developing its own tech like quartz movements with radio-synching and solar charging. Not only do they continue to offer something interesting and unique today, but they pioneered the radio-controlled watch with the Junghans Mega 1 back in 1990.

junghans mega 1 wristwatch

Bukowskis

We’re looking at a wonderfully funky timepiece, an excellent specimen of the space-age design that quartz and digital watches had engendered over the preceding decades. With a digital display and asymmetric case developed with Frog Design, the Mega 1’s strap incorporated an antenna for receiving radio signals. Quartz movements used by Junghans and everyone else were already highly accurate, however, so what does this radio-synching tech actually do? Well, it makes watches even more accurate.

Once a day, a signal from a transmission station will update your watch with the exact current time. That signal is itself synched with an atomic clock, and there are six such transmission stations around the world. (For example, the atomic clock that’s the basis for standard time in the United States is in Boulder, Colorado, and will be accurate to better than one second in over 100 million years. Accurate enough for ya?)

Even though Junghan’s current quartz movements promise accuracy to within about +/- 0.02 seconds per day without radio synching, that negligible deviation can’t compete with a radio-synched watch — so long as you’re in North America, Europe or East Asia and in range of the signals. You get it: your watch stays really, really accurate.

meister mega wrist watch

Junghans

There are now also systems that use GPS satellites and the internet to keep your watches and other devices more or less synched with atomic clocks anywhere on the planet, but Junghans’ story remains compelling: In 1985, five years before the Mega 1, the brand released the “first radio-controlled, series production table clock for private use” and followed it up a year later with a solar-charging version. These features combined in the Mega Solar wristwatch in 1993 and are part of the brand’s lineup today in a modern form.

Junghans isn’t the only European brand making quartz movements — and you can even find solar-charging ones from brands such as Tissot and Cartier — but you’ll be hard pressed to find many making a real effort to offer something as unique and pragmatic as Junghans’ offerings by combining features like radio synching and solar charging: a “problem-free wristwatch” that “runs forever and is never wrong,” as the brand describes its goal. These movements are also notable because they’re developed totally in-house with notable features such as hand alignment that syncs every minute; a perpetual calendar; a seconds hand that jumps twice a second and more.

A “perfect” watch should be convenient, practical and accurate — but many would argue that its elegance is equally important. This is where Junghans particularly stands out from its Japanese competitors: Although its technology and history deserve more recognition, Junghans is primarily known for its stylish Bauhaus designs like the famous Max Bill line. And if you want that German construction and iconic look for not a lot of money, you can get it with a mechanical movement or one that’s made in-house and synched with atomic clocks.

LEGO welcomes the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor to its Technic catalog as a 1,389-piece kit

With a generous amount of imagination and a boatload of LEGO bricks, you can practically design anything under the sun. Just look at those huge display models in toy stores or those uploaded by content creators online. Meanwhile, it’s also fun to follow a detailed instruction manual to build something like this sweet. For example, this 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor set.

This new kit is marketed under the Danish toymaker’s Technic banner, which means it will be one massive undertaking. Even veteran brick builders will love the challenge it brings to the table. Out of the box, there are 1,379 pieces to work with.

Also, a preview of the finished product on the box suggest it will comprehensive replica of the pickup truck. LEGO did not only focus on the exterior aspect of the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor. Instead, the level of intricacy the Technic lineup touts extends to the interior and more.

You can build a scale model of the actual vehicle’s V6 engine complete with moving pistons. Next. All four of its wheels feature a working suspension system just like the real thing. Now you can simulate how the pickup track can effortlessly tackle even the most difficult terrain.

Other articulating parts include the hood, the four doors, and the tailgate at the rear. The LEGO Technic 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor comes in an orange paint job with black accents. Even the Raptor badging is visible as a decal just above the rear fenders. Finally, once fully assembled, it stands over 6 inches high and is about 16.5 inches long. This is a great alternative when board games just don’t cut it.

Skate over almost any surface with the Hadean Carbon 2 in 1 from Evolve Skateboards

It’s been a while seen we’ve seen emission-free urban mobility platforms other than stand-up/sit-down scooters or e-bikes. So, we felt that it’s time we introduced something else to refresh the lineup. It just so happened that we stumbled upon the Hadean series from Evolve Skateboards. To be specific, you might want to check out the Carbon 2 in 1.

Checking the available variants, they’re offering the Street and All Terrain configuration for $2,899. For $3,149, which is about $250 more, you might as well get the most out of your new electric skateboard. At least, with a little tweaking, owners can quickly switch between pavement and off-road setups.

Now, what makes the Carbon 2 in 1 a great option if you are shopping for something from the Hadean collection is its durability. The forged carbon chassis is tough enough to withstand anything you throw at it. Moreover, the material’s lightweight characteristics mean it can improve the overall performance.

The deck measures 39.3 inches long with a 38-inch axle to axle wheelbase. The package includes two wheels for all-terrain and street use respectively. Owners mount them on Evolve Super Carve trucks. Powering the dual 3,000W 6368 custom brushless motors is a 43.2V, 16AH, 691.2Wh, custom-built 12S4P configuration battery.

It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge and is enough for up to 40.4 miles of range (street). It can even tackle a little over 35% inclines. As for the top speed, Evolve Skateboards says it can go as dast as 31 mph (street) and 26 mph (all-terrain). For additional safety, the Carbon 2 in 1 packs LED lighting to improve visibility.

Important Gear You Need for an Off-Road Camping Adventure

As the age-old maxim says, “it’s not about the destination, but rather the journey.” If that’s true, and if you’re a gearhead, there’s no more satisfying way to journey than via expedition-ready rig. And as manufacturers continue to offer up more and more off-road-ready vehicles straight from the factory, the call of the off-road trip grows louder, and adventure arrives more easily.

If you’re ready to answer the call, there are a few things you should put on your shopping list. Aside from your basic camping gear, essential survival tools and standard vehicle maintenance essentials, you’ll also want to make sure you have an array of gear that will keep you high and dry (in a good way) and your truck or SUV from getting stranded. The list quickly becomes expensive, but it’s better to invest now than be stuck later.

This basic guide to gear isn’t comprehensive, of course. Part of the fun of the hobby is the continuous refinement of one’s kit: adding new gadgets and piece of equipment; swapping out entry-level gear for items designed for more experienced users as you gain confidence; finding better, higher-quality versions of supplies than you started out with. Still, the products here and the categories below should serve as an excellent starting point, giving you a chance to dip your toe (or heck, even your whole foot) into the off-road camping pool.

Can Pajamas Help You Get a Better Night’s Sleep?

Let’s hope you’re not here out of desperation — that it’s not four AM wherever you are and this article is your last resort. If so, welcome; I’m sorry. If not, a-ha! You’re intentionally awake but face struggles falling asleep. Sure, there are sleep aids, but perhaps your insomnia isn’t that bad — maybe you’re just brushing up on ways to get a better night’s rest.

Well, you’re in the right place. The pertinent information lies just ahead. Pajamas may aid be the assistance you’ve been seeking all along, but be warned: they aren’t for everyone. (Hence why so many people sleep nude.) There are plenty of reasons why one might consider wearing a set —including warmth, comfort and routine — but routine wear leaves room for potential problems, too. Too far one way can throw off the body’s natural flow.

The human body is regulated on an ongoing basis by what’s known as our circadian rhythm, a cyclical chain of reactions to changes in light and temperature — aka our internal timekeeper. This subconscious cycle’s responses manifest as shifts in mood, body and mental state. As night nears, for example, our bodies steadily drop in temperature. Or, as the sun rises, we wake, most times hungry. Our temperatures peak in the late afternoon and reach their lowest point in the wee hours of the morning — which is, oftentimes, the reason it’s so hard to remove ourselves from the warmth of our beds.

The ideal room temperature, based on the temperature our bodies reach during rest, is between 66 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This window can vary by a few degrees based on the individual, but it’s nearly universal. Any higher and you’ll toss and turn. Any lower and you’ll feel disrupted, too. Pajamas could play a role in regulating your temperature, should you be more prone to being cold. If you run hot, avoid ’em. But it’s not that simple. We break down this tug of war in further details below.

Piglet

Pros

Pajamas can help a scattered mind establish a manageable routine.

“The sleep ritual: besides a cup of Sleepytime Tea and a good book, pajamas can totally be part of the winding down routine,” Dr. Alex Dimitriu, who specializes in sleep and psychiatry, says. “PJs can certainly serve as a reminder for upcoming bedtime, much like taking off your work clothes at the end of the work day.”

Pajamas can be a signal to shut down phones and other screens.

“Ideally screens disappear as the PJs come on,” Dr. Dimitriu adds. If you slip into your PJs at, say, 9:00 PM — wow, early, I know — you’ll probably be better about avoiding screens until you drift off, too. Read a book! Stargaze! I don’t know.

Pajamas offer comfort and a sense of calm.

As much as temperature plays a role in getting a good night’s rest, comfort proves key, too. Being positioned improperly or bothered by a body part being exposed (mmm, a snack for the monster across the room) can cause acute insomnia.

Pajamas are hygienic (as long as you wash them, too).

Our bodies release around 300,000 dead skin cells a night (30-40,000 an hour). They also produce around a quart of sweat each sleep cycle. So, if you’re nude, those are going straight into your sheets. If you’re wearing pajamas — moisture-wicking ones with solid breathability — they’ll catch at least some of both.

Pajamas are a sign of maturity — or at least a sartorial eye.

There are entire companies dedicated to the clothing you don in the dark. If you pick out a nice set, not only will they be a comfortable companion but also something you won’t be ashamed to answer the door in, if necessary. (See: a sleepy Steve McQueen in a set of paisley pajamas.)

      mastermind world pyjamas

      End Clothing

      Cons

Pajamas could increase your body temperature.

Just as forgoing pajamas may make you too cold, wearing them may make you too hot. Either end of the spectrum can disrupt sleep, which is a finicky yet necessary function of everyday life. In fact, there was an entire study done in 2019 on whether or not what we wear to bed is ruining our chance at a restful night’s sleep. “Sleep disturbance in adults with no health concerns is often linked to the thermal environment,” the study found.

Pajamas made from synthetic fabrics are not fit for sleeping in.

When purchasing pajamas, avoid synthetic fabrics like polyester, rayon or spandex. These do not breathe as well as natural textiles like wool or cotton and can cause the body to overheat, triggering insomnia. “Small, but statistically significant sleep benefits were observed for wool over cotton and polyester sleepwear for multiple sleep parameters, while neither cotton nor polyester was responsible for any statistically significant sleep benefit over the 11 sleep parameters examined,” the aforementioned 2019 study revealed.

Wearing pajamas may lower your sperm quality.

Don’t freak out yet. Just because you’ve been wearing boxers to bed doesn’t mean your swimmers are bottom shelf. However, a study published in peer-reviewed medical journal Andrologia suggests “genital heat stress” can diminish sperm quality. They’re primarily talking about extended periods of sitting — uh oh — and how it impacts sperm quality, but tight-fitting underwear are mentioned, too. If you choose to wear bottoms in bed, opt for something natural, loose and with plenty of air flow.

Pajamas are bad for your relationship.

A 2015 study found that skin-t0-skin contact between partners during sleep triggers the release of oxytocin, “a hypothalamic nonapeptide linked to increased levels of social interaction, well-being and anti-stress effects.”

These Great Pellet Grills Are on Sale for the Fourth of July

Looking for even more great savings? Head over to Today’s Best Deals page to see all our top deals from today.

Pellet grills are the move this summer, and we stand behind that fact so much that we did a podcast about them. Right now through the Fourth of July, you can get one of our favorites, Z Grills pellet grills and smokers, discounted up to 20 percent off, including some of the brand’s newest arrivals.

Part machine and part grill, a pellet grill heats up small wood pellets (as opposed to gas or charcoal) to precisely grill and smoke to perfection.

A number of the discounted grills include a free gift, ranging from a grill cover to free pellets and grilling tools. These grills don’t get marked down this much very often, so take advantage of this Fourth of July deal while you still can.

This High-Tech Upgrade Breathes New Life Into Any Mountain Bike

To say I was skeptical when Archer Components sent me its D1x Trail programmable shifter to try out is the understatement of the year — or at least the month. In truth, the small white box sat on my desk for weeks. Then coronavirus hit and when we vacated the GP office, I left that little box behind.

Around the same time, I got more and more into mountain biking — still one of the great socially distant outdoor activities. And this confluence of events finally got me to appreciate this funky little upgrade.

See, the more I hit the trails, mostly testing the excellent Canyon Neuron CF SLX 9.0 LTD, the more I realized that one of very few beefs I had with the bike was the sometimes clunky shifting. The universe seemed to be saying, hey idiot, why not open that little white box?

So on one of my rare trips to the office, I threw that box in my bag and took it home. Now, as I’ve admitted before, my technical know-how is not exactly robust. But after watching Archer’s overly simple install video, followed by a longer, cheekier South African one, I had a clue what to do. A bit of blood, sweat and gears later, I had replaced the stock mechanical shifting system with this fancy, remote-controlled electrical one.

The Archer app fine-tunes your derailleur’s movement so every shift is super smooth.

And here’s where things really got interesting, because the coolest thing about Archer’s set-up is the way you program it using the Archer app. Essentially what it lets you do, once you’ve paired the app with the system, is calibrate exactly where the derailleur moves with every shift, micro-adjusting so that the chain sits perfectly on every gear.

How does that fine-tuning play out once you hit the trails? Pretty damn magically. The super-smooth and precise shifting gave me a newfound confidence in my riding, enabling me to tackle up-and-down single-track more aggressively than ever. It also made normal street cycling much more pleasant. That’s huge for me, as I normally ride 13 road miles just to get to my “local” mountain bike park.

But it’s on actual trails where the D1x really shines, living up to the title of this story. If you’re struggling to get motivated to hit them, or just feeling slightly dodgy on them, upgrading from standard shifting to this system is like adding NOS to your bike’s proverbial engine. At the tap of a couple of buttons, you can upshift and downshift, triggering a turbo boost that will get you stoked to rip around.

Archer Components

Granted, the little white box isn’t cheap. The D1x Trail with Standard Remote (the product I tested, which is currently sold out), runs $369. The D1x Trail with Micro-Adjust Remote, which lets you adjust individual gears on the fly, goes for $399 $389. But considering it really does transform your bike, it’s an upgrade worth pondering.

The only pro tip I will add from my own experience is, the night before you’re going to ride, make sure the remote and the shifter are fully charged up. Otherwise you’ll be stuck with just one gear, a decidedly less appealing sort of bike transformation.

Price: $399 $389

Maserati MC20 comes to Goodwood

We have seen the new Maserati Halo Car being driven hard during testing on the track, after that, this Italian supercar wearing the famous trident was taken into the snow for cold-weather testing, and while no customer has received their Maserati MC20 yet, the car is finally finished and will make her official UK debut at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed where none other than GT1 world champion in the MC12 and Maserati’s official test driver, Andrea Bertolini, will take a production version of the MC20 onto the iconic 1.16-mile hill climb course at Goodwood, over the four days of the Festival of Speed, visitors will be able to enjoy this new car twice a day in action on the hill climb.

The Maserati MC20 is the first model of their new era, combining performance with luxury once again, the MC20 comes with their in-house developed Nettuno V6 engine, twin turbochargers, and mid-mounted, this 630 hp beauty with Formula One sourced technology will propel this low supercar to 62 mph from a standstill in only 2.88 seconds, while a top speed of more than 202 mph is listed in the specifications, Maserati is so proud of this new V6 engine they are actually showcasing it at Goodwood next to the MC20 itself.

The 2021 edition of the Festival of Speed is a celebration of motorsport and car culture during which the Maserati MC20 will make its UK dynamic debut in the Supercar Run, the famous hill climb course, but this Italian beauty will also be shown statically on the Supercar Paddock, next to other supercars and hypercars from the competition, but I’m sure this new Maserati MC20 supercar that is produced in Modena, at the historic Viale Ciro Menotti plant, will draw attention to herself with ease.

Apple products don’t get a big discount very often, but late in the product lifecycle, we do tend to see some quality deals that are worth shopping. Right now, the Apple Watch Series 6 is coming to the end of its year as the newest model, so B&H has dropped prices on a handful by up to $100.

Just because a new one is coming, the Series 6 is no slouch. Not only does it come in a number of combinations, but they all have the ability to measure your blood’s oxygen levels and tell you your VO2 max, both of which can help not only with fitness but also detect respiratory issues.
