Let’s start with what’s different about this one. Perhaps the most obvious bit is the blade. Instead of Böhler M390 steel, this edition boasts Damasteel DS93X.
Not only does that material combine outstanding corrosion resistance with incredible strength, but it’s also almost excessively beautiful. This version also has a mesmerizing Hakkapella pattern that almost mimics oil on the surface of water or a musical visualizer.
The blade is still 3.5 inches long with a drop-point shape and a long, curved cutting belly and a sharp piercing point. It also still boasts ambidextrous thumb studs for easy one-handed deployment.

Caravelle isn’t exactly a household name in the watch world. As Bulova‘s lesser-known sister brand, Caravelle mostly plies its trade by selling bargain-bin fashion watches that can be found at your local mall or department store.
But that wasn’t always the case. Bulova launched the Caravelle brand in the early 1960s as a more affordable alternative to its own watches, and within a few years, it became one of the bestselling watch brands in the U.S.
Among vintage collectors today, Caravelle is best remembered for its Sea Hunter, a dive watch that debuted in the late 1960s and was produced throughout the ’70s. One vintage Sea Hunter reference that has gained particular acclaim is a “Devil Diver” reference from 1969 — so called because of its 666-foot depth rating on the dial — which featured an aesthetically pleasing design akin to Longines’ skin divers and was powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement.
Now, shockingly, Bulova has dusted off the Caravelle nameplate for a watch that enthusiasts actually want: a reborn Sea Hunter Devil Diver. And with an automatic movement and a price below $400, it just might be the affordable dive watch we’ve all been waiting for.

The Devil is in the details
The reborn Caravelle Sea Hunter is quite faithful to the original from 1969. It features the same general design, with a matte-black dial, printed lumed indices with Arabic numerals at 12, 6 and 9, and a date window at 3:00. Golden fauxtina is used for the lume, while the dial text and oversized minute track are printed in white.
The handset, with its spade-tipped hour hand and sword minute hand, is the same as before, and like the dial layout, it appears almost indistinguishable from the Longines Heritage Skin Diver. The bezel retains is fully marked black aluminum insert and its luminescent pearl at 12:00 and is unidirectional, of course.

Yema is known as an affordable brand — you can pick up an automatic Superman Heritage diver starting at just $1,249. But although the new Superman Tourbillon is certainly affordable for what it is, it is by no means an inexpensive watch.
The Yema Superman Tourbillon CMM.31 Limited Edition is priced at a cool $13,000, making it one of, if not the, most expensive watches the French brand has ever produced. But when you consider that only a handful of other tourbillon-equipped dive watches boasting similar specs exist, and all have price tags several times higher than the Yema, then it becomes a lot more reasonable.

High potential, low investment
Maybe the most interesting thing about this utility knife is its locking mechanism. Designed by Andrew Demko himself — the owner of Demko knives and the designer of this very knife — the Shark Lock is among the strongest and most fidget-friendly locks in EDC.
It’s similar to classic back locks or even Spyderco’s legendary Compression Lock in that the lock is housed in the knife’s spine. This makes it incredibly robust and extremely difficult to break or otherwise fail.

Apple has stealthily launched a wall adapter specifically designed to power its iPhone 17 line. It’s a 40-watt GaN charger that holds the distinction of being the first Apple charger to support AVS (Adjustable Voltage Supply), which allows it to output up to 60 watts for a short time (roughly 18 minutes). This means it can charge the newest iPhone 17 models faster than similarly-sized adapters. According to Apple, it’s capable of charging the iPhone 17 models to 50 percent battery in around 20 minutes, or the iPhone Air to 50 percent battery in around 30 minutes.
