Balancing features and style is always tough, especially regarding minimalist EDC knives. But, if a designer can manage it, it makes a massive difference in the overall result, as Bestech’s VK-Void G10 — designed by Vulpex Knives — proves.

This knife is well-balanced, gorgeous and packed with excellent features and materials. It’s the perfect example of how simple does not necessarily mean simplistic. It’s also surprisingly affordable.

Low-key high-end

The VK-Void is well within Bestech’s middle range. It’s not quite a budget knife, but it doesn’t come anywhere close to the brand’s most expensive knives.

That said, it’s got a lot going for it that you might expect from a much pricier offering. However, some things might explain its approachability.

For instance, it has a liner lock, which is reliable if not commonplace. It also has G10 handle scales, which aren’t cheap, per se, but run less expensive than other materials. It also has a simple wire pocket clip that’s reliable, if not fancy.
