As is always the case, even with these stylish collabs, a G-Shock is a G-Shock is a G-Shock. As such, this one maintains the same ruggedness you should always expect.
It has the brand’s signature shock-resistant housing, is water resistant to 200 meters, has a suite of built-in complications (stopwatch, timer, calendar — you know the drill) and so on. Plus, there’s the added protection from the bully bars, which can be removed if you really dislike them, although that would cost this watch some of its charm.
The greater point is that this watch isn’t some delicate flower you need to keep protected under a glass cloche in a secret chamber in a mansion tower. Yeah, it looks great, but it’s meant to be worn. If you get one, make sure you do it justice.
