Baselworld, the biggest watch event of the year, is happening now at the Messe Basel in Basel, Switzerland. We’ve got a team on the ground there to bring you the most exciting releases. Follow our coverage here, and also be sure to check out Instagram. We’ll be posting to our feed throughout the week.

Day 1 of Baselworld is actually “Press Day,” an opportunity for journalists to attend press conferences, take meetings and see some of the new pieces before the show opens to the public. But it’s also the day in which many of the watch brands, big and small, first announce their new novelties, and we couldn’t be more excited.

First and foremost, today saw the release of the Tudor Black Bay PO1, several new sport models from Rolex, and, though they were technically announced yesterday, all of Patek Philippe’s new releases (stay tuned for continuing coverage of Patek). On the more affordable end of the price spectrum, Zodiac announced its new take on the Aerospace GMT; Oris brought us the Great Barrier Reef LE III; Monta dropped its Atlas GMT, and many more. Stay tuned in the coming days and weeks to continue following GP’s coverage of all the Basel goodness!
