This Package Turns Your G-Wagon into the Off-Road Warrior it was Meant to Be

The Off-Road Package consists of 80mm wheel arch extensions for the front and rear axles, a new Bilstein suspension kit (50mm rise) and an in-house 50mm Body lift kit. The wheel arch extensions have created more room to fit the Off Road tires of size 35×12.5 R20 or 315/60 R20 from Mickey Thompson, Cooper and Yokohama.

The new Bilstein suspension kit in combination with the delta 4×4 body lift kit has increased the ride height of the vehicle by 80mm at the front axle and 50mm on the rear axle. The ground clearance has been increased by approximately 290mm to further enhance the off-road capability of the vehicle.

The off-road package also consists of a Roof Rack with special functions for mounting accessories like roof tents and can also be supplemented with a ladder and spare wheel carrier, and a stainless steel front bar for mounting headlights and protecting the bumper and radiator.

The wheels available for the vehicle are:-

  •  18 inch Klassik B wheels with tires up to 285/60 R18 and 305/60 R18.
  •  20 inch wheels in Lander 20×9 and Klassik B 20×9.5 with tires from 275/55R20,  285/55R20 to 275/60R20, 285/60R20 and 305/55R20.
  •  22 inch wheels in 22×9 Lander for tires from size 275/45R22 and 285/45R22 to 305/45R20 and 295/50R22,
  • 23 inch wheels in 23×11 Element4 with tires of size 305/35R23 and 305/40R23.
  • 20 inch two-piece Beadlock forged  wheels in size 20×9 and 20×9.5.

Freshly Delivered Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Has 1,111hp after Tuning

Opus Automotive received their Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series for just a week ago and has already managed to improve the power levels upto 1,111hp.

The lap times of the AMG GT Black Series modified by Opus has not been confirmed yet but they expect it to be the fastest car in the standard and street legal category. Opus Binary editions will feature 1,111hp and 1001 hp and will be available for sale from June 2021 after intensive testing on the dynamometer and several racetracks.

This AMG GT Black Series features an additional 57hp compared to the upcoming AMG One hypercar which has an output of 1054hp. Due to high power and the fact that it remains RWD, Opus has limited the torque to bare minimum at all power levels to improve the drive and traction. The company also guarantees suction-like characteristics like increasing performance parallel to all speed with straightforward performance for all levels. ‘Subtle’ performance levels with 825hp and 920hp will be available from mid-April.

Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series rear

The 825hp expansion stage will take place in the engine and transmission control unit via a software intervention. All the performance kits will contain extensive changes to the hardware including modified turbochargers and transmission reinforcements to alter the engine. The kit will consist of special forged pistons, reinforced connecting rods, modified fuel systems and machined cylinder heads.

The performance packages will also be available with super-light wheels and aerodynamics add-ons. In standard form the AMG GT Black Series is powered by an all new 4.0L flat-plane crankshaft V8 Biturbo producing 720hp and 800nm of torque.

Newly developed downpipes with sport carts which will eliminate the need for standard particle filters will be available for use on racetracks or non-European countries from April 2021. An Electronic Flap Control system called EFC that allows the standard exhaust to be controlled via remote control is readily available.

600hp for the New Mercedes-AMG A45 S by Renntech

Renntech recently announced its tuning measures for the Mercedes-AMG A 45. The three stage package is currently available in an initial first stage, however, plans are afoot for a Stage 3 package in the near future which will boost power to 600 hp. In a hot hatch!

The Florida-based tuning firm is renowned for its tuning packages, exclusive to AMG models. It’s latest package is available for the latest A 45 4MATIC or A 45 S 4MATIC models. It’s the first tuning package for the current generation 45 model which has only recently began deliveries.

Renntech Mercedes-AMG A45

The first stage package is designed to improve the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with an increase in output to 475 hp and 575 Nm. The software tweaks should be available by mid-January with the final stages of testing underway. Customers at this stage can also opt for a modified diverter valve which adds the crackles AMG became known for, but which regulations have restricted in recent years.

Once Stage 1 is complete, Renntech has 550 hp and 600 hp options in the works, to follow in the course of the first quarter of 2020. These changes will involve modified turbocharger systems, a suitable exhaust system and an optional downpipe with sports catalytic converter. These options should become available in Spring.

Liberty Walk Updates the Nissan GT-R With Silhouette Works Bodykit

The Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 is one of the first events on any petrolhead’s calender, particularly so if you are interested in the Japanese tuning scene. Liberty Walk has announced one of its contributions in the form of the Silhouette Works GT 35GT-RR.

Based upon the Nissan GT-R, featuring a carbon fibre body kit, the headline is not so much the changes which have been made to the Japanese supercar, but rather the price tag Liberty Walk has applied.

The cost for the conversion is a staggering $73,570. For reference, a brand new, 2020 Nissan GT-R will set you back only slightly more at $113,540. The cost includes the parts only, meaning customers will also be required to find the cost of a body shop to install the parts.

Of course, there are options to reduce that cost. The kit, constructed from Fibre Reinforced Plastic costs just $33,480, and you have the ability to mix and match carbon fibre parts or to buy components individually. Carbon fibre front and rear bumpers are priced at $7,020 individually for example.

The look of the kit doesn’t deviate much from the standard Liberty Walk look though. It is flashier than when we saw in the original bolt-on components. The panels now sit flush with the body, although the exposed carbon fibre hood, pumped-up wheel arches and massive rear wing are no different.

Liberty Walk Silhouette Works GT 35GT-RR

So what do you get for the complete kit? The full kit consists of a front bumper, front canard and diffuser set, rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear wing, wide fender kit, bonnet hood and trunk hood. If you are after an extreme conversion for your Nissan GT-R, you would be hard-pressed to do better than the Liberty Walk Silhouette Works GT 35GT-RR.

In terms of what Liberty Walk have planned for the Tokyo Auto Salon 2020, there are rumours of a new kit for the Ferrari 488 GTB and the original Honda NSX.

Official: Sterckenn Reveals Carbon Parts for BMW 8 Series

Tuning company, Streckenn, has revealed a new set of carbon fibre parts for the BMW 8 Series. Applied across a 50:50, satin:gloss black demonstrator model, the parts add a subtle, but sinister twist to the latest BMW. The 8 Series has never looked so good!

Steckenn’s take on the BMW 8 Series was revealed at the Automobilia Auto Salon in Connecticut, USA. The changes include a carbon fibre front lip spoiler. The high-quality carbon fibre part is easily installed as a bolt-on component to improve the looks of the 8 Series.

The demonstrator model also gets a number of special touches. The most obvious is the wheels. On the right side, this 8 Series wears Vossen S21-01 21 inch monoblock wheels finished in gold. On the left, a set of ANRKY An38 21 inch wheels get a matte black finish with rose gold inners. Both sides make use of a custom airbag suspension setup that incorporates an Accuair Endo CVT air management system.

Sterckenn’s demonstrator is an M850i which means it has a 4.4 litre V8 producing 530 hp and 750 Nm of torque. It hits 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. The looks are matched by the performance!

The 8 Series parts are available at Sterckenn’s dealership network worldwide, including in Europe, the US, Japan, Korea and Australia. As well as the 8 Series, Sterckenn also offers components for the M2, M3, M4, M5 and 5 Series models.

Hennessey Creates 800hp McLaren 600LT

Hennessey have proven once again that they can turn their hand to anything. Their latest release is a McLaren 600LT which gets a fresh performance boost with an 800 hp HPE800 package. Few details have been unveiled about what the package includes, however, Hennessey have shared these photos.

Hennessey are no strangers to the McLaren brand. The company has worked on the 570S before, offering a range of performance upgrades, stainless steel exhaust pipes, new wheels and more. They have always remained tight-lipped about what the modifications entail, the packages do not seem as extreme as what the company offers for the Huracan.

An 800 hp performance package works out at an impressive 200 hp increase over the standard production model. To achieve this, Hennessey would likely need to modify the turbocharger system together with the ECU and its more normal exhaust and air flow enhancements.

The standard 600LT can hit 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 200 km/h in just 8.2 seconds. With an additional 200 hp, the performance potential seems scarcely believable. With the limited production of the LT compared to the 570S, we imagine that Hennessey will find less of a market for its upgrades. Yet, it strikes us that, combined with the weight losses of the MSO ClubSport package, this might just represent one of the most cost-effective ways to keep up with a hypercar!

Porsche 911 Speedster Conversion by DP Motorsport

Restoring old 911s is not anything new, people have, and will continue to do so, for decades to come. The icon lends itself to being tinkered and toyed with. DP Motorsport, based outside Cologne, were given a 1989 911 Targa 3.2 and told to backdate it and make something cool. I am sure you will agree, they nailed the brief.

The tuner has, obviously, shaped the voluptuous lumps that give Speedsters their unique look. Furthermore, there is a F-Model-Body kits dp11F Carrera-Widebody, height-adjustable KW suspension and a power upgrade to 260bhp. Its combination of one inch wider wheel housings, a slightly lowered front bumper, as well as unobstrusively designed side sills that are truly stunning. Apparently there is a lot more to come!

Finished in Nardo Gray with Fuschs style wheels in matte black, the Phantom Speedster is a sight to behold. The original car from 1989 would have looked pretty and dainty in an age where VW Golfs are huge and Minis are far from mini, but the conversation from DP Motorsport has made this one of the most accomplished conversions we have seen.
